FOREIGN. The Irish who took part in riots after an immigrant stabbed three children should be "shot in the head" or beaten to death by a mob. A leading immigrant politician in Limerick believes so.

Because
Violent protests erupted last week in the Irish capital Dublin after five people were injured in a knife attack at a school. Three of the injured were 5- and 6-year-old children, and the suspected perpetrator is an immigrant from Algeria.
The Dublin riots were discussed and condemned in strong terms at a Limerick council meeting earlier this week, reports Limerick Post.
- Not even an animal does this kind of thing, said Azad Talukder from the liberal conservative government party Fianna Fáil during the meeting.
Talukder, a Muslim immigrant from Bangladesh, was referring not to the Algerian knifeman who tried to kill the children but to the Irish who protested the incident.
He further suggested that these people should be "punished in public".
- I would like them to be shot in the head, or handed over to the public and beaten to death, Talukder added.
The Labor Party's Conor Sheehan thought this was quite strong and asked the immigration politician to retract his statement as "you can't ask for people to be shot in the council chamber".
Azad Talukder agreed.
- Okay, I can take it back. "I'm just expressing my feelings," he said, according to the Limerick Post.

Suspected drugged bus driver drove on bike rack: "Everyone screamed"
Published 2023-11-30
On Thursday morning, one of Nobina's bus drivers came over on the wrong side of the road in central Malmö where he mowed down a bicycle rack. The driver is now suspected of, among other things, driving under the influence of drugs.
It was at 8.20 that the terrified passengers on the city bus witnessed how the driver in his 60s drove over on the wrong side of Davidshallsgatan in the direction of Gustav Adolfs torg.
In addition to the bicycle stand, the driver also collided with several poles. At least one person was about to be hit but no one was injured.
On board the bus were about ten people, several of whom were families with children.
- Everyone screamed. I was shocked, says one of the passengers to Sydsvenskan .
Drove on
After a while, the bus stopped and the passengers could get off, whereupon the driver drove on.
The bus driver is now suspected of driving under the influence of drugs and carelessness in traffic and had to accompany the police for sampling.
According to David Erixon, head of communications at Nobina, the incident is seen as extremely serious and "totally unacceptable". They must now carry out a technical investigation and cooperate with the police to investigate exactly what happened.
Suspected terrorist act
Adrian Combier Hogg witnessed the incident and saw the bus coming towards him. He tells the state radio that what popped into his head was the terrorist attack on Drottninggatan in Stockholm in 2017. To protect himself from the oncoming bus, he jumped into a gate made of stone.
