Man Defends Home And Family Using Gun‚ Concealed Carry Permit Suspended

Vince Ricci‚ a California father and entrepreneur‚ defended his home and family from armed attackers earlier this month using a handgun. Two masked men hopped over a wall and ran him down with guns. Ricci returned gunfire to force the armed attackers to flee. Yet‚ California’s response is to temporarily suspend his concealed carry permit. “LA criminals came to my home‚ pointing guns at my chest. After successfully defending my home‚ and my family‚ and my five-month-old child‚ California has now decided to suspend my Second Amendment‚” Ricci shared in a video posted by the NRA. “Vince Ricci was coming back to his LA home on a quiet evening when two robbers jumped his wall and pointed guns at his chest. But they weren’t ready for what was about to happen. He had a gun of his own and defended himself. Now‚ California is suspending his Second Amendment‚” the NRA wrote. He had previously blasted the LAPD for ‘sloppy police work’‚ including their alleged negligence in picking up casings scattered near his home as evidence. DailyMail.com has reached out to the LAPD for comment. On November 4 just after Ricci returned home to his gated LA home‚ two armed men jumped his fence and tried to force their way into his house. Footage of the gunfight revealed the moment in which he is approached by one of the masked assailants at about 7.30pm. In a swift attempt to defend himself‚ his wife‚ five-month-old and the nanny inside Ricci reached for his gun and started a shootout with the intruders. Obtaining a concealed carry permit in California is more difficult than other states with Ricci telling Fox News Digital it took him months to process it. “Ricci said that his home has previously been targeted by criminals‚ including in June when burglars broke into his residence and that his car was broken into a few months before the June robbery‚” Fox News reports. Per Fox News: Ricci said a group of criminals has been targeting homes in his neighborhood‚ explaining they drive a Dodge Charger with no license plate and had targeted his neighbor the night prior to the shootout. The homeowner said that if it was not for his gun‚ he and his family could have easily been killed. “It saved our lives‚” he said. “I’m a tough guy … but there’s only so much I could do against a gun. They would have pistol-whipped me‚ they would have pistol-whipped my wife. They would have come in the house and there’s nothing in my house.” He said he and his wife speculated that if it were not for the gun‚ the suspects would have made entry‚ found nothing of great value to steal and potentially “tortured” the young family. He said living in a liberal city‚ some might try to discredit and “crucify” the legal gun owner‚ instead of authorities arresting and convicting the would-be intruders. “I know I didn’t do anything wrong‚ because I had two chances I could have shot both kids in the back. I chose not to do it. But in the video‚ it looks like ‘oh‚ they were running away.’ They weren’t running. They were firing back at me‚” he said. He lamented that the LAPD carried out “sloppy police” work when he filed a report‚ including not picking up the casings scattered near his home. “I almost couldn’t believe it‚ the sloppy police work they did. There’s a couple of them that care … There’s a handful of real cops‚ and then there’s the rest of them‚” he said.

Judge Rules On Challenge To Remove Donald Trump From Colorado Primary Ballot

A Colorado judge ruled on Friday Donald Trump is eligible to appear on the state’s primary ballot. “The lawsuit‚ brought by a left-leaning group on behalf of a group of Republican and independent Colorado voters‚ contended that Trump’s actions related to the attack ran afoul of a clause in the 14th Amendment that prevents anyone from holding office who ‘engaged in insurrection or rebellion’ against the Constitution‚” the Associated Press reports. “The Court holds that Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment does not apply to Trump‚” the ruling stated. “The lawsuit in Colorado that was filed by the SOROS funded group @CREWcrew to remove President Trump from the ballot in Colorado was just defeated! Trump will be on the 2024 ballot in Colorado!” investigative reporter Laura Loomer wrote. BREAKING NEWS: TRUMP VICTORY IN COLORADO! The lawsuit in Colorado that was filed by the SOROS funded group @CREWcrew to remove President Trump from the ballot in Colorado was just defeated! Trump will be on the 2024 ballot in Colorado! — Laura Loomer (@LauraLoomer) November 18‚ 2023 SOROS FUNDED @CREWcrew DEFEATED IN COLORADO!!!! #Trump2024 pic.twitter.com/ucncj5sWig — Laura Loomer (@LauraLoomer) November 18‚ 2023 CBS News reports: Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold released this statement shortly after the ruling‚ “The Court determined that Donald Trump is eligible to be placed on the Colorado ballot in the March Presidential Primary. This decision may be appealed. As Secretary of State‚ I will always ensure that every voter can make their voice heard in free and fair elections.” Advocates this year have been trying to remove Trump from the ballot in Colorado and other states under Section Three of the 14th Amendment‚ which bars from office those who swore an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and then “engaged in insurrection” against it. The measure has only been used a handful of times since the period after the Civil War. In her decision‚ Wallace said she found that Trump did in fact “engage in insurrection” on Jan. 6 and rejected his attorneys’ arguments that he was simply engaging in free speech. Normally‚ that would be enough to disqualify him under Section 3‚ but she said she couldn’t do so for a presidential candidate. Section 3 does not specifically refer to the presidency‚ as it does members of the U.S. Senate or House of Representatives. Instead‚ the clause refers to “elector of President and Vice President‚” along with civil and military offices. “Part of the Court’s decision is its reluctance to embrace an interpretation which would disqualify a presidential candidate without a clear‚ unmistakable indication that such is the intent of Section Three‚” the judge wrote. “The 14th amendment lawsuits that were filed by groups funded by SOROS in Michigan‚ Minnesota and now Colorado that were intended to REMOVE President Trump from the 2024 Presidential ballot have all been defeated! President Trump will be on the ballot!” Loomer wrote. The 14th amendment lawsuits that were filed by groups funded by SOROS in Michigan‚ Minneosta and now Colorado that were intended to REMOVE President Trump from the 2024 Presidential ballot have all been defeated! President Trump will be on the ballot! Major Trump victory! #MAGA — Laura Loomer (@LauraLoomer) November 18‚ 2023 The Associated Press added: The decision by District Judge Sarah B. Wallace is the third ruling in a little over a week against lawsuits seeking to knock Trump off the ballot by citing Section 3 of the amendment. The Minnesota Supreme Court last week said Trump could remain on the primary ballot because political parties have sole choice over who appears‚ while a Michigan judge ruled that Congress is the proper forum for deciding whether Section 3 applies to Trump.

Why Do Christians Wrestle with the Concept of Christ’s Delay?

This delay in the coming of Christ is not because of a lack of concern but is actually a sign of how much He cares and loves people. He’s waiting because He’s patient. He wants people to come to Him before it is too late.
