Atlanta Rioter: ‘My Gender Is a Loaded Gun Pointed at Capitalism’s Heart’

Rioters with the “Stop Cop City” movement in Atlanta face domestic terrorism and racketeering charges for repeated attempts to stop the lawful construction of a police and firefighter training facility‚ including the use of Molotov cocktails to harm police officers and damage construction equipment. The newly revealed journal of Manuel Esteban Páez Terán‚ an agitator who reportedly opened fire at police before officers fatally shot him on Jan. 18‚ reveals how climate alarmism and leftist grievance motivated a written desire to become “ungovernable” and kill police officers. Last month‚ Rabun County‚ Georgia‚ District Attorney George Christian announced that the police who shot Terán will not face any charges because the use of lethal force “was objectively reasonable” since the subject had fired his 9 mm pistol at a police officer‚ injuring him. Terán’s defenders claim the man did not open fire‚ and the medical examiner’s autopsy did not find gunpowder residue on the man’s hands‚ but the journal reveals a desire to kill police officers. Georgia’s Republican attorney general‚ Chris Carr‚ submitted Terán’s journal as evidence in the racketeering case last week‚ saying that Terán was a co-conspirator with 61 people who face charges. The man had been camping in the forested area that the Atlanta City Council designated in September 2021 as home to a future police and firefighter training facility‚ the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center. Police removed about 25 campsites on Jan. 18‚ and they discovered “mortar-style fireworks‚ multiple edged weapons‚ pellet rifles‚ gas masks‚ and a blow torch” in the sweep‚ according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The journal reads like a mass shooter’s manifesto‚ with long sections of Terán describing himself as a hero‚ crude drawings of police officers hung on trees with Ku Klux Klan members‚ and poems about Marxism and climate change. The man opens up about his love life‚ with many references to desiring to fornicate and even a passage in which he claims to have been raped (though he acknowledges he was drunk at the time). He frequently compares police to slave masters and prison labor to slavery‚ and he uses many of the Left’s common buzzwords. “Killing people is generally a bad thing‚ fascists and cops count as people‚ but killing them is morally [and] ethically just because they are threats to the survival of many people‚” he wrote between September and November 2022. “Dead cops! Dead cops everywhere!” “F— 12 and every last cog in the machine that is the prison-industrial complex‚” he wrote. (F— 12 means “f— the police.”) “My freedom is intertwined with the freedom of every political prisoner—that is to say every prisoner. All prisoners are prisoners of war—the class war or the war on drugs or whatever you’d like to focus on. Capitalism breeds only harm‚ the convenient innovations are a side product.” In December 2021 musings about “being ready to die‚” Terán wrote‚ “Burn down the prisons and kill all the prison guards‚ and their backers and owners and stockholders.” On one page‚ he drew a crude image of a man clad in black bloc Antifa gear firing an automatic rifle at a police officer who says‚ “Oink! Oink!” Terán’s journal gives hints about his radicalization‚ which seems rooted in climate alarmism—the idea that human beings burning fossil fuels will so harm the environment that catastrophe will result—and an extreme distrust and even hatred for the wealthy. (Contrary to the Left’s narrative‚ climate alarmism is far from settled science.) “The capitalist class is prepared for an unlivable world—they have bunkers and stockpiles to last lifetimes‚” he wrote in September 2022. “We the working class do not have access to such security—all we have is each other. Scraping by is not going to mitigate climate change. Enjoying the world before it’s too late will not mitigate climate change. Only collective action will help mitigate climate change.” “The international working class must rise up and demand an end to governments and private corporations‚” he wrote. “We must seize the means of production and then work in unison to recapture carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses. … We must demand Utopia‚ if not for ourselves then for the coming generations.” “The police will not help us‚” he added. “Politicians and their corporate overlords hate the idea of losing power—so they won’t help either. So what are we to do? Find people who understand the urgency of our situation‚ and eventually become ungovernable. Destroy capitalism but first grow a better world.” News outlets have reported that Terán identified using “they/them” pronouns‚ and one passage from his journal does indeed echo gender ideology. This activist did not identify as male‚ female‚ nonbinary‚ transgender‚ or any specific gender‚ however. According to him‚ his “gender” is … a threat to capitalism. “My gender is a loaded gun pointed at capitalism’s heart‚” he wrote. “My gender is the strength of the wretched of the earth … My gender is political and abstract‚ it’s a stick striking a cop’s soft bits. My gender is the rejection of authority.” “My gender is a knife in the hands of every femboy and gender bender‚” he wrote. “It is the flame of a Molotov and teargas tears.” Terán also echoed the Left’s language of intersectional oppression. He identified his “exit strategy” as “to keep resisting fascism‚ ecocide‚ and the damn capitalist cisheteropatriarchy.” “Cisheteropatriarchy” refers to the leftist idea that society is dominated by men (“patriarchy”) who identify as men (“cis” as opposed to “trans”) and who see heterosexuality as the norm (“hetero”). The agitator again repeats‚ “There is no future unless we fight like hell to mitigate the effects of climate change. We must be better stewards of the land; industrial society must be dismantled by any means necessary.” Terán described the “Stop Cop City” movement as “FOREST ANTIFA” in the month before his death. “I know the struggle is not over—f— the naysayers—f— all those who believe that the state will triumph‚” he wrote. “Our resistance cannot be stopped. Momma didn’t raise a coward—fear will not stop me. Fear cannot be allowed to stop us.” Terán claimed that his oppressors “rape and rob and terrorize targeted communities” and went on to wish death to everyone who props up the system. “I hope every judge‚ bishop‚ and bootlicker dies painfully and is remembered as scum‚” he wrote. “Death to all who stand in the way of liberation for all oppressed people.” Terán’s journal reveals how the Left’s talking points about climate change‚ LGBTQ identities‚ and oppression can motivate hatred and terrorism. While the journal does not prove that Terán opened fire before police shot him‚ it heavily suggests that he would have had no compunction about doing so. This man identified as “Antifa‚” mused about shooting police‚ and joined a movement to squat on a piece of land to prevent police and construction workers from following the orders of the City Council to construct a new facility. His allies used Molotov cocktails in an attempt to block that construction‚ and his statements about a Molotov cocktail flame being his “gender” suggest he gladly would have thrown them himself. The journal may prove inconvenient for the Southern Poverty Law Center‚ a leftist group that claims to monitor extremism and hate‚ but focuses almost exclusively on the Right. An SPLC lawyer‚ Thomas Webb Jurgens‚ faces domestic terrorism charges for his role in a March “Stop Cop City” riot. The SPLC and the National Lawyers Guild claim Jurgens was a “legal observer‚” but he faces charges nonetheless. Terán’s journal underscores the fact that Carr‚ Georgia’s attorney general‚ is right to describe these acts as terrorism and to charge the agitators accordingly. Have an opinion about this article? Predictably‚ Jorge Ramos Column Makes Trump-Televisa Interview All About Jorge Ramos

It was a matter of time before Univision senior anchor and Special Editorial Advisor to the CEO Jorge Ramos weighed in on the controversy surrounding Televisa’s interview of former President Donald Trump. And‚ in a manner similar to his own interactions with Donald Trump‚ he made it all about himself. The Trump interview happened nearly three weeks ago‚ but the Ramos response ran on Ramos’ website during a holiday weekend. Was The New York Times pitched but not interested? Or did Ramos wait for the holiday to drop his column? Weird timing. The column‚ titled “The Danger of Not Confronting Trump”‚ wastes no time in going to the heart of the matter‚ which is Jorge Ramos. Due to the strong criticisms after Univision aired an interview with Donald Trump on Nov. 9 -that put in doubt the independence of our news department‚ and created discomfort and uncertainty within the newsroom- it is necessary to take a step back from what was broadcast that day and explain‚ as always‚ my point of view. Let’s begin with the most basic. Trump never would have given me an interview. On August 25‚ 2015‚ the then-presidential candidate ordered a bodyguard to expel me from a news conference in Dubuque‚ Iowa‚ after I tried to ask him some questions. “Go back to Univision!” he told me. I had gone to Iowa to ask him about his statements that Mexican immigrants were “rapists‚” criminals and drug traffickers. Of course‚ Ramos did not go to Iowa to ask Trump any questions‚ but to conduct a performative confrontation. He has admitted as much on many different occasions. See for yourselves (click “expand” to view transcript):      PETER MANSBRIDGE‚ CBC: Why did you make the decision that you had to go to Iowa to confront Donald Trump? JORGE RAMOS‚ UNIVISION: As you know‚ television… television doesn't happen. Television is produced. It is created. And‚ so we brought three cameras‚ we brought microphones‚ and our purpose was to talk to Donald Trump. And confront Donald Trump. That was the purpose. As a journalist. MANSBRIDGE: A confrontation. RAMOS: I wanted to ask him a question- many questions‚ but (...) yes‚ it was going to be a confrontation. ...  MANSBRIDGE: You keep calling it questions‚ your “questions”‚ where in fact you didn’t ask a question. They’re statements‚ not questions. … MANSBRIDGE: You can not deport 11 million people … RAMOS: You can not deport 11 million… you can not deport 11 million people. … MANSBRIDGE: You can not deport 11 million… you can not deport 11 million people … RAMOS: You can not build a 1900-mile wall. … MANSBRIDGE: You can not deny citizenship to children in this country. … RAMOS: You can not deny citizenship to children in this country. … RAMOS: I confronted him on the fact that he wants to deport 11 million people‚ and build a wall‚ and deny citizenship. … RAMOS: We thought that in Dubuque‚ Iowa‚ there would be just a few journalists following the candidate. And we were right. So we showed up like two hours before‚ we brought three cameras‚ and then we made a plan. I was going to be wearing a microphone so my voice would be at the exact same level as his when we start editing … DONALD TRUMP: No‚ you haven’t you haven’t been called. RAMOS: I have… I have the right to ask a question. And this is...no. And this is the question. You can not deport 11 million… you can not deport 11 million people. You can not build a 1900-mile wall. You can not deny citizenship to children in this country. … RAMOS: Then we had the three cameras well-positioned‚ the lighting was right‚ and then I made a plan. (...) We planned everything. … RAMOS: TV‚ television doesn't happen. You create it. You produce it. It doesn't happen just like that. And that’s exactly what we did. (...) We NEEDED TO CONFRONT HIM. … CHRIS CUOMO‚ CNN: You wanted to get into a fight with him and you got your fight. … RAMOS: We will be judged‚ as journalists‚ by how we responded to Donald Trump.   He wasn’t there to ask questions but to stage a show. And Univision’s news division has repeatedly indulged Ramos’ excesses‚ which is precisely why they didn’t get to handle the Mar-a-Lago interview. Ramos is the public face of a news organization known for being a repository of Democrat talking points‚ so he is correct to affirm that he would have never been granted that interview.  The media’s narrative surrounding the Televisa interview of Trump is not one of a corporate parent trying to restore balance to a property gone horribly wrong that has lost significant trust within its own viewing cohort‚ but of Univision’s brave struggle for editorial independence. But again‚ and so we’re crystal clear‚ by “independence” we mean the independence to remain a repository of Democrat talking points. Nothing else. Over the course of the past several decades‚ Ramos has abused his editorial independence by using it to push extreme ideology upon his viewership‚ disguised as “journalism”. He has soft-pedaled “democratic socialism”‚ advocated for euthanasia‚ and suggested that vaccine skepticism is a “big lie” that endangers democracy. But most notoriously‚ Ramos has abused his editorial independence in order to spew racial demagoguery. When asked about Hispanics who voted for Donald Trump in 2016‚ Ramos dismissed them as “immigrants…or children of immigrants who forgot their origins”. Ramos would later bemoan that Hispanics would “feel totally identified with this country”. These are but a handful among many such instances. But there is one bit of good to come from Ramos’ column‚ which is that he all but admits to immigration advocacy as the center of his “journalism”. Immigration is the only issue that moves him ask tough questions of Democrats: Of course we should not take sides‚ and we are obliged to broadcast the messages of all candidates in the 2024 presidential election. But at the same time we cannot surrender our responsibility to ask hard and precise questions. That’s what journalism is for. These journalistic principles apply to everyone. For example‚ recently I wrote a column criticizing Joe Biden for breaking his promise not to build a single foot of new wall at the southern border during his presidency. Also‚ when Barack Obama was president I confronted him in a town hall meeting for not keeping a campaign promise. “A promise is a promise”‚ I told him. He broke a commitment to introduce immigration reform -that would have legalized millions of undocumented immigrants- during his first year in office‚ when Democrats controlled both chambers of Congress and the White House. So it goes both ways. “Both ways” on an open border‚ one way on everything else. Whether it’s abortion‚ gun control‚ climate‚ or anything else on the leftwing policy pupu platter‚ Ramos is a reliable Democrat talking point regurgitator. For Ramos‚ making equal demands of all on immigration is proof evident of balance. And again‚ to be clear‚ this is the “editorial independence” that the rest of the navel-gazing media industry is willing to follow Ramos off of a cliff for. The column closes with the throwing of a gauntlet: For 39 years Univision has allowed me to report with absolute independence and freedom – and even to write columns like this one – and I will always be very grateful. That’s why I left Mexico and came to the United States. This is what I believe‚ and I will continue to do it as a free journalist‚ wherever I might be. Ramos quit Televisa to come to the United States in 1983‚ where he became what he has become‚ and is now hinting at quitting again. Although the circumstances are significantly different‚ it is nonetheless an opportunity for there to be the closing of a circle. In advance of a proper house cleaning at Univision‚ Televisa would be wise to let him walk again.

'You ridiculous clown': Prime Minister of Ireland gets obliterated online for remarks about 9-year-old Israeli hostage

The Prime Minister of Ireland was lambasted online for his remarks about a 9-year-old Israeli girl who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and taken as a hostage. As Blaze News previously reported on Saturday‚ Hamas released 17 hostages – 13 Israelis and four Thai nationals. The hostage swap happened on the second day of the temporary four-day truce between Israel and Hamas. Included in the Israeli hostages was 9-year-old Emily Hand – a girl of Irish and Israeli descent. Her father initially believed that his daughter was murdered during the onslaught by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7. Hand was held captive by Hamas terrorists for 50 days – during that time‚ Emily turned nine years old. Ireland Prime Minister Leo Varadkar commented on the hostage release on Saturday. However‚ Varadkar received a barrage of criticism for the wording of Hand's release by the Hamas terrorists. "This is a day of enormous joy and relief for Emily Hand and her family. An innocent child who was lost has now been found and returned‚ and we breathe a massive sigh of relief. Our prayers have been answered‚" Varadkar wrote on the X social media platform. — (@) Varadkar's tweet was slapped with a disclaimer from X: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.""Emily Hand was kidnapped by Hamas Terrorists on October the 7th‚" the message from X read. "The use of the term lost is inappropriate and fails to highlight that she was released as part of a hostage deal."Not only was Varadkar corrected by the social media network‚ but many online commentators obliterated Varadkar for his mischaracterization of the hostage release of the kidnapped girl. Israeli spokesperson Eylon Levy: "Emily Hand wasn't 'lost.' She was brutally abducted by the death squads that massacred her neighbors. She wasn't 'found.' Hamas knew where she was all along and cynically held her as a hostage. And Hamas didn't answer your prayers. It answered Israel's military pressure."Author Bethany S. Mandel: "As a Jew of Irish descent‚ I am so horrified and disgusted. Lost and found like she went for a f***ing hike in the woods."Journalist Kassy Dillon: "She wasn’t 'lost.' She was kidnapped by terrorists."Libs of TikTok creator Chaya Raichik: "This is disgusting. Prime Minister of Ireland says an Irish-Isareli child was 'lost' and has been found and returned to her family. That child was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists on Oct 7 and was released today in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. She was not 'lost.'"Podcast host Konstantin Kisin: "We need a complete shutdown of these people being elected until we can work out what the hell is going on."Actor Dean Cain: "She wasn’t 'lost.' She was kidnapped by terrorists."Muslim influencer Mohammad Tawhidi: "Translation: Emily was kidnapped by Hamas‚ but I am a crooked coward who will make it sound as though she was lost in a shopping mall."Political commentator Carl Benjamin: "It is important to remember that leftists believe that the villains are powerless to resist their own barbaric impulses. They are victims of circumstance‚ not bad people‚ and therefore any boon that comes from them is equivalent to an act of God to be praised."Fighter Conor McGregor: "She was abducted by an evil terrorist organization. What is with you and your government and your paid for media affiliates constantly down playing / attempting to repress horrific acts that happen to children. You are a disgrace. The day after a stabbing of children in Ireland‚ NOT ONE PAPER HAD IT ON THEIR FRONT COVER. We will not forget."Author Sean Parnell: "You ridiculous clown. She was kidnapped &; taken hostage by Hamas. This terrorist sympathizer is the Prime Minister of Ireland. So tired of lunatics like this. Their inability to speak with moral clarity about real life evil is a danger to all of us."Women's advocate Riley Gaines: "To the prime minister of Ireland‚ being KIDNAPPED by a terrorist organization is just part of a big game of hide and seek. Community notes prevail again."Journalist Rita Panahi: "Lost‚ found &; returned? She’s not a pair of sunglasses accidentally left behind…she was kidnapped by the Islamist terrorists of Hamas‚ you quisling clown."On Sunday afternoon – following the bashing he received online – Varadkar released his "full statement" of the release of Emily Hand. A little girl was snatched from her home and held captive for almost seven weeks. She spent her ninth birthday as a hostage. We hope she will soon heal and recover from the traumatic experience in the loving embrace of her family. For her family‚ these seven weeks have been a slow and cruel torture. We all recall the initial response from her father Tom Hand - the painful grief mixed with relief with the mistaken belief that his daughter had not been taken hostage‚ which turned into an ember of hope when it was discovered she was still alive. Throughout all these different emotions his love has been constant.Tom and Emily's half-sister Natali turned that ember of hope into a flame by channeling their sorrow and campaigning tirelessly for Emily's release. They traveled across Europe to keep her plight in the public eye. When I met Tom and Natali in Dublin‚ their pain was etched on their faces‚ but so was their courage and determination to ensure that Emily would be freed. I shared their grief and was inspired by their example.Irish people everywhere share in the relief of Emily's family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the hostages in Gaza‚ but we followed particularly closely the fate of Emily‚ a dual Irish-Israeli citizen. Since our country first heard that she may still be alive‚ we have hoped beyond hope that her name would be on one of the lists of hostages to be released.Emily now returns to her family‚ but we cannot forget that many more hostages remain in captivity in Gaza. Their fate is unknown‚ but we hope that like Emily‚ they will also be allowed to return to their homes and their families. We think of all the families suffering in this troubled region‚ and we redouble our efforts to work for a permanent ceasefire‚ and for a just a lasting peace. — (@) Like Blaze News?
