Dill Pickle Dip

Dill Pickle Dip is a wonderfully creamy dip for gameday or parties and it can be made in just 10 minutes. Even better, it can be made a day in advance. This dip is creamy, crunchy, and has the wonderful salty flavor of dill pickles. Dill Pickle Dip Recipe While I don’t much care for dill pickles on their own, I love them added to foods like Dill Pickle Meatloaf, Dill Pickle Potato Salad, Spicy Pickle Hush Puppies, Fried Pork Chops with Dill Pickle Gravy, and of coarse Beer Battered Fried Pickles. Save that pickle juice and make Pickle-Brined Grilled Chicken or Pickle-Brined Chicken Tenders. Want to save this recipe?Just enter your email and get it sent to your inbox! Sour Cream– or use Greek yogurt or mayonnaise. Ranch Seasoning– adds wonderful flavor. Dill Pickles– I find there is lots of variation in taste with different brands of dill pickles. Use your favorite or homemade. Pickle Juice– so perfect for flavoring and thinning the dip a little bit. Chopped Fresh Dill– can’t get enough dill flavor in this dip!! Sweet Onion– very finely chopped. Pepper Equipment Needed You will need a large mixing bowl and a hand-held electric mixer. If you don’t have an electric mixer, you can get by with a wooden spoon. How To Make Dill Pickle Dip Mix the base ingredients. Using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese, sour cream, and Ranch until smooth. Add Remaining Flavorings. Stir in chopped pickles, pickle juice, dill, and onions. Season to taste. Check for seasoning and add black pepper to taste. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes. How To Serve So many things taste great dipped in this dip! Pretzel sticks, ruffled potato chips, frito corn chips, pita chips. It can also be served with veggie sticks for a low carb appetizer. I really love it with cucumber slices. It also makes a great burger or sandwich spread. Want It Spicy? Add crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to taste. Recipe Tips Best made an hour in advance so the flavors have a chance to get to know each other. Chop the pickles really finely for a smooth dip or leave them in bigger pieces for a chunkier dip. Storage Will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days but it will start to get a little watery and separated after 2 days. Rick Moranis Returns In ‘Spaceballs 2’ After Nearly 30 Years Away From Acting

Rick Moranis, born Frederick Allan Moranis in Toronto, is a Canadian actor, comedian, and musician who came to fame through his work on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (SCTV) in the ’80s. He is making a long-awaited return to the big screen, stepping back into the signature black helmet of Dark Helmet for the long-anticipated sequel, Spaceballs 2. Mel Brooks shared a teaser online to announce it, using a throwback sci-fi crawl and ending with his signature line: “May the Schwartz be with you.” It’s been almost three decades since Moranis last took on a live-action film role. At that time, fans mostly heard about him from old movie marathons or stories about why he stepped away. But now, he is ready to return to the spotlight, and not just for any project. This particular one brings him back to a role many still remember in a film that keeps the same playful energy as the first Spaceballs. Why Rick Moranis chose to step away from the spotlight Rick Moranis/X Moranis’ decision to leave Hollywood wasn’t some dramatic farewell. After the death of his wife, Ann Belsky, a costume designer, in 1991, he chose to stay home and raise their two kids, Rachel and Mitchell. His last live-action film was Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves in 1997, and since then, he’s mostly kept a low profile. In interviews, he said he never officially retired; he just waited for something worthwhile to do. Rick Moranis will return as Dark Helmet in ‘SPACEBALLS 2’ It’s his first acting role in a live-action film since 1996 (via @DEADLINE) pic.twitter.com/yowc16sEU0 — Lights, Camera, Barstool (@LightsCameraPod) June 12, 2025   That something worth doing finally came. According to Deadline, Spaceballs 2 will be produced by Mel Brooks and Josh Gad, with Josh Greenbaum directing. Gad, who also co-wrote the film, will appear in it alongside Moranis, Bill Pullman, and Keke Palmer. Pullman is set to return as Lone Starr, while Brooks will take on his role as Yogurt again. Everyone involved is focused on preserving the humor of the original while opening the door for something fresh. Bill Pullman, Mel Brooks, and Rick Moranis in Spaceballs (1987)/X In a post on Instagram, Gad admitted he saw Spaceballs before he saw Star Wars and thought the George Lucas films were somehow copying Mel Brooks. That kind of connection shows how much this project means to those involved. It also explains why it was enough to get Moranis back on set after all these years.             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Josh Gad (@joshgad)   In the new sequel, Rick Moranis returns alongside fresh faces – Keke Palmer and Josh Gad Keke Palmer, Josh Gad/Instagram/X Mel Brooks has always known how to go about it when it comes to poking fun at whatever’s popular. In the teaser, he appears wearing a sweatshirt that reads “SPACEBALLS: THE SWEATSHIRT” and jokes that when they asked fans what they wanted, they did the exact opposite. He calls the new movie what only he could: “a Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film.” It is exactly what fans hoped for: random and full of laughs. With Amazon MGM Studios backing the project and a 2027 release date already teased, things are moving forward. And while no official statement has come from the studio, the online anticipation and insider reports have done enough to get longtime fans excited Spaceballs (1987)/X It will be interesting to see how the sequel connects with a younger audience. With Keke Palmer on board and Josh Gad helping steer the story, it feels like something meant for both longtime fans and people who’ve never seen the original. At the core of it, though, it’s a chance for the original cast, especially Rick Moranis, to step back into the roles that made them stand out. Moranis didn’t return to chase attention. He joined because the project felt right, surrounded by people who appreciate what he brings. And this isn’t about proving anything; it’s about enjoying a role that still makes people laugh. And for an actor like him, that’s more than enough. Mel Brooks Returns For ‘Spaceballs 2’ 40 Years After The Original

It’s been nearly four decades since Spaceballs first made audiences laugh with its spin on Star Wars and sci-fi films. Now, in a move no one quite saw coming, and yet everyone seems to welcome, Spaceballs 2 is officially happening. And yes, Mel Brooks is back. At 98 years old, Mel Brooks isn’t just directing. He is also reprising his beloved role as Yogurt, the gold-faced, wise, and funny character who poked fun at Yoda. For fans of the original film, this is more than just another sequel. It’s the return of a comedy legend. What we know about ‘Spaceballs 2’ I told you we’d be back pic.twitter.com/RnoklPqBX6 — Mel Brooks (@MelBrooks) June 12, 2025   The announcement came from Amazon, MGM Studios, and Brooks himself on June 12, 2025. A Star Wars-style crawl opened the reveal video, filled with jokes about today’s endless movie franchises, from Jurassic Park and Dune to Avatar and the MCU. Then came the twist: “But in 38 years there has only ever been one Spaceballs. Until now…” Mel Brooks/Imagecollect Then, Mel Brooks appears on screen: “After 40 years, we asked what do the fans want? But instead, we’re making this movie.” He ends with his classic sign-off: “May the Schwartz be with you.” Josh Gad went on to say. “I wondered why anyone would do a dramatic remake of the Mel Brooks classic,” he joked online. Set for a 2027 release, Spaceballs 2 is being called a “Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film.” If that sounds silly, that’s the point. Mel Brooks directed, wrote, and starred in the original 1987 film, where he played both Yogurt and President Skroob. The original also featured Bill Pullman as Lone Star, John Candy as Barf, Rick Moranis as the unforgettable Dark Helmet, and Joan Rivers as the voice of Dot Matrix. Bill Pullman, Mel Brooks, and Rick Moranis in Spaceballs (1987)/X Which original cast members are returning? So far, it’s unclear which of the original cast members will return, especially as several of them have passed away. But fans are hopeful that Rick Moranis, who’s been slowly stepping back into acting, will return as Dark Helmet. Josh Greenbaum will direct the sequel. Before this project, he had worked on Will & Harper and other comedy-focused projects. Spaceballs (1987)/X Alongside Gad, the screenplay is being written by Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez, both known for their skills in writing humor. The production team hopes to start filming before the end of 2025, depending on casting and budget. Gad mentioned on SiriusXM that they’re deep “in the weeds” but fully committed to making a sequel that honors the spirit of the original. Spaceballs isn’t just a parody. It’s a snapshot of ‘80s humor, packed with jokes that still land today. When it came out in 1987, it wasn’t a massive box office hit, but over time, it became a cult classic. Fans memorized lines, quoted Dark Helmet’s rants, and laughed at the now-iconic “Merchandising!” moment. Today, with Hollywood releasing reboots and spinoffs by the dozen, Spaceballs feels ahead of its time. Mel Brooks in Spaceballs 2 announcement/Youtube video screenshot Even the announcement video seemed to poke fun at the modern era’s obsession with sequels. The crawl mocked Hollywood’s habit of creating spinoffs of spinoffs: “A movie spinoff of a TV spinoff, which is both a prequel and a sequel,” it read. For Mel Brooks, returning now is less about fan demand and more about having fun with the chaos of modern pop culture. And for Gad, it’s a personal dream. Mel Brooks might be nearing 100, but his creative energy clearly hasn’t slowed down. May the Schwartz, indeed, be with us all. John Stamos Reflects On Brian Wilson’s Death With Heartbreaking Personal Tribute

John Stamos is mourning the loss of a lifelong friend and musical inspiration, Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson, who passed away at 82 on June 11. This news came as a shock to fans of American pop and John Stamos, who had been a friend of Wilson for a long time. The Full House star could not keep his feelings to himself as he penned an emotional tribute to his late friend. In a heartfelt post on social media, Stamos honored his friendship with Wilson by sharing memories, photos, and an emotional tribute detailing what the late musician meant to him. Over the decades, the duo had shared more than a stage; they shared a common bond in music and admiration for one another. Brian Wilson and John Stamos’ relationship             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by John Stamos (@johnstamos)   John Stamos grew up idolizing the Beach Boys, never imagining that he would one day join them on stage. However, their friendship began in the ’80s through guitarist Jeffrey Foskett, and over time, Stamos became an honorary member of the group, playing drums and guitar and singing at various shows. Meanwhile, the Beach Boys’ music played a role in shaping Stamos’s own identity. He could not describe the days of his youth without songs like “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “God Only Knows,” and performing them live alongside Wilson often brought back those memories. Stamos became a close friend to Wilson, who had spent years battling mental health challenges. The beach boys/X Tribute to Brian Wilson John Stamos often credited Brian Wilson with helping him find emotional depth, both as an artist and as a person. In his tribute, Stamos acknowledged the influence of Wilson on his life. He spoke about how Wilson’s music conveyed emotions that were difficult to put into words and how those melodies inspired him to bring joy and meaning to others through his performances. To Stamos, Wilson’s voice was divine. Brian Wilson, John Stamos/X/Instagram Brian Wilson and the band made several appearances on the Full House show, and Stamos’ character, Jesse Katsopolis, even covered “Forever,” a Beach Boys song, in one of the show’s moments. Just a few weeks before Wilson’s passing, John Stamos had appeared with the Beach Boys at the BeachLife Festival in California. He performed “Forever” in front of a crowd. Ryan Reynolds And Colin Hanks Celebrate John Candy’s Legacy In Upcoming Documentary

This September, the Toronto International Film Festival will open with a documentary that takes a closer look at one of Canada’s most familiar comedy figures–John Candy. He died on March 4, 1994, at age 43, while filming Wagons East in Mexico. John Candy: I Like Me, directed by Colin Hanks and produced by Ryan Reynolds, is set to premiere on September 4, kicking off the festival’s 50th edition. Both Reynolds and Hanks have personal ties to the actor’s work and story. Reynolds, who is also Canadian, has admired John Candy since childhood, and Hanks worked with him as a kid. The documentary will explore the man beyond the screen. It will include his work, personal life, and the parts of his journey that most people never saw. Who John Candy really was beyond the screen             View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by TIFF (@tiff_net)   John Candy made people laugh in films like Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck, Spaceballs, Cool Runnings, and The Great Outdoors. His performances always felt natural, and he played characters you could relate to, even when the stories around them were wild or exaggerated. But the new documentary goes beyond the roles. It includes stories from his children, rare home videos, and conversations with people who knew him well. Reynolds and Hanks said many fans connected with his roles, but didn’t always know what he faced off-screen. Therefore, the goal is to show the full picture of who he was, not just what he did. John Candy/X In the documentary, loved ones talk about who John Candy truly was Colin Hanks has his own connection to Candy. He was only eight when he shared the screen with him in Volunteers, a film that also starred his parents, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. Since then, Colin has made a name for himself with acting credits in shows like Fargo, The Offer, and Life in Pieces, but this particular project ties everything together on a more meaningful level. Original ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Actress Kate Jackson Makes Rare Appearance

Kate Jackson returned to the spotlight on June 7, 2025, for a rare public reunion that delighted longtime fans of Scarecrow and Mrs. King. The 75-year-old actress took the stage at The Hollywood Show in Los Angeles, appearing alongside former co-stars Bruce Boxleitner, Martha Smith, Paul Stout, and Greg Morton, marking the first time the whole cast had gathered together in 38 years. The moment quickly became an emotional one, with fans cheering and even tearing up during the panel session. The event was a heartfelt celebration of the CBS drama, which aired from 1983 to 1987. The series followed Jackson’s character, Amanda King, a suburban mother who unexpectedly becomes a secret agent. Amanda evolved to an operative working beside Boxleitner’s suave Lee “Scarecrow” Stetson. Kate Jackson’s recent appearance also teased a potential revival              View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Mike Pingel (@mikepingel)   Before Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Jackson had already made appearances in movies like Dark Shadows, The Rookies, and Charlie’s Angels. But Amanda King’s imperfect character grew with each episode and quickly became fans favorite. At the reunion, Jackson recalled the challenge of switching from her Sabrina Duncan role in Angels to Amanda’s uncertain beginnings. Kate Jackson remembered advocating for Amanda’s development during the filming, from being rescued each week to becoming a capable partner in espionage. In a past interview, Boxleitner once noted how the chemistry between Amanda and Scarecrow worked best when it felt natural. The couple’s romance eventually leads to a marriage onscreen, which was never part of the original plan. A reboot of ‘Scarecrow and Mrs. King’? CHARLIE’S ANGELS, Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, 1976-81 The real surprise came when Jackson suggested a reboot. Fans were excited as she described a picture of Amanda and Lee living a quiet life in retirement until a sudden call dragged them back into danger. Kate Jackson also imagined them having grandchildren while going on undercover missions on remote islands. This idea sparked cheers for a possible spin-off or reunion special. Scarecrow and Mrs. King/X In the meantime, fans can relive the original adventures as all four seasons are now available on streaming platforms. Other beloved sitcoms costars have also had a reunion. The Breakfast Club cast recently celebrated their film’s 40th anniversary with a panel that reflected on their friendship and the characters’ imagined futures.
