Tulsi Gabbard Says Media Misrepresents Her Intel Assessment On Iran Nukes

President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard says the media is misrepresenting her assessment of Iran’s nuclear program. In a Friday post following a barb from Trump that she was “wrong” about Iran, Gabbard said that the media misrepresented her intelligence assessment. “The dishonest media is intentionally taking my testimony out of context and spreading fake news as a way to manufacture division,” Gabbard said, along with video of her March testimony. “America has intelligence that Iran is at the point that it can produce a nuclear weapon within weeks to months, if they decide to finalize the assembly. President Trump has been clear that can’t happen, and I agree.” Gabbard’s assessment has been seized on by many who oppose any military action to take out Iran’s nuclear program, who point to her statement that the intelligence community “continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon.” That statement was followed up, however, by Gabbard telling the committee that Iran was enriching uranium at a level unprecedented for any nation that was not pursuing nuclear weapons. The dishonest media is intentionally taking my testimony out of context and spreading fake news as a way to manufacture division. America has intelligence that Iran is at the point that it can produce a nuclear weapon within weeks to months, if they decide to finalize the… pic.twitter.com/mYxjpJY2ud — DNI Tulsi Gabbard (@DNIGabbard) June 20, 2025   The post came just hours after Trump insisted on Friday that his intelligence shows that Iran is building a nuclear weapon when asked about Gabbard’s assessment. In response to a reporter’s contention that Trump’s “intelligence community has said they have no evidence” that Iran is “building a nuclear weapon,” Trump replied, asking where the reporter was getting his information. “Well, then my intelligence community is wrong,” Trump replied bluntly. “Who in the intelligence community said that?” “Your Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard,” the reporter answered. “She’s wrong,” Trump said succinctly. Trump had been asked about Gabbard’s assessment before, and similarly dismissed it. On Tuesday, speaking with reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said, “I don’t care what she said. I think they were very close to having one.” .@POTUS on Iran: "I think they were very close to having" a nuclear weapon. pic.twitter.com/BXOIrJUobk — Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) June 17, 2025   Gabbard’s team has said the intelligence official is in lockstep with Trump on Iran, and pushed back against reports that she was out of the loop on questions of whether or not to strike its nuclear program. Below is Gabbard’s full testimony on Iran, which also includes her stating that Iran has powerful weapons capable of striking U.S. targets: Iran continues to seek expansion of its influence in the Middle East, despite the degradation to its proxies and defenses during the Gaza conflict. Iran has developed and maintains ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and UAVs, including systems capable of striking U.S. targets and allies in the region. Tehran has shown a willingness to use these weapons, including during a 2020 attack on U.S. forces in Iraq and in attacks against Israel in April and October 2024. Iran’s cyber operations and capabilities also present a serious threat to U.S. networks and data. The IC continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized the nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003. The IC continues to monitor closely if Tehran decides to reauthorize its nuclear weapons program. In the past year, we have seen an erosion of a decades-long taboo in Iran on discussing nuclear weapons in public, likely emboldening nuclear weapons advocates within Iran’s decision-making apparatus. Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile is at its highest levels and is unprecedented for a state without nuclear weapons. Iran will likely continue efforts to counter Israel and press for a U.S. military withdrawal from the region by aiding, arming, and helping to reconstitute its loose consortium of like-minded terrorist and militant actors, which it refers to as its “Axis of Resistance.” Although weakened, this collection of actors still presents a wide range of threats, including to Israel’s population, U.S. forces deployed in Iraq and Syria, and to U.S. and international military and commercial shipping and transit. On Friday, a reporter asked, “Mr. President, the Iranian Foreign Minister this afternoon said if the U.S. is serious about negotiations, then you would call up Israel and request that they stop their airstrikes. Will you make that request?” “Well, I think it’s very hard to make that request right now,” Trump answered. “If somebody’s winning, it’s a little bit harder to do than if somebody’s losing.” Asked about the two-week ultimatum he gave Iran to surrender, Trump said it was “just a time to see whether or not people will come to their senses.” Trump recalled how he opposed the war in Iraq because he did not believe they had weapons of mass destruction, then turned to Iran, saying, “It looked like I’m right about the material that they’ve gathered already; it’s a tremendous amount of material. And I think in a matter of weeks or certainly within a matter of months, they’re going to be able to have a nuclear weapon. We can’t let that happen.”

Suspected Tren De Aragua Member Charged With Attempted Murder After Attacking Federal Agent

An illegal alien and suspected member of foreign terror organization Tren de Aragua has been charged with attempted murder of a federal officer after he violently resisted arrest and attacked FBI and Homeland Security agents. The 30-year-old Venezuelan illegal alien Gabriel Hurtado-Cariaco was hit with the federal charge after he attacked an FBI agent and Homeland Security Investigations agent who attempted to apprehend him in Bellevue, Nebraska. The Department of Justice (DOJ) explained that Hurtado-Cariaco violently resisted arrest, injuring one agent when the illegal alien sent the agent’s head slamming against the pavement. The suspected Tren de Aragua member also placed one agent in a chokehold during the altercation, not letting go until the other agent placed Hurtado-Cariaco in a chokehold. “Deadly violence against law enforcement officers will not be tolerated by this Department of Justice,” Attorney General Pam Bondi charged. “We have charged this illegal alien with attempted murder.” After the attack, Hurtado-Cariaco fled on foot before being successfully captured by the federal agents at his apartment. The injured agent was then transported to the hospital. “Federal law enforcement officers are tasked with enforcing the laws of the United States and they must be able to do so safely,” U.S. Attorney Lesley A. Woods said. “These federal agents maintained their professionalism while being met with potentially fatal violence. Despite sustaining injuries, the agents did not give up and made a successful arrest.” The illegal alien has since appeared before a judge, who ordered that he must remain in law enforcement custody. Hurtado-Cariaco could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the crime. “The arrest and prosecution of this vicious Tren de Aragua gang member underscores our unwavering commitment to protecting our law enforcement officers in the line of duty,” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche asserted. “Violent attacks from terrorists against those who serve our communities will be met with swift and decisive justice.”

‘Get Our People Home’: This Florida Lawmaker Is Helping Thousands Of Americans Evacuate Israel

Florida State Senator Jay Collins has spent the last six days in Cyprus, Israel, and Jordan helping Americans evacuate Israel amid the country’s conflict with Iran. Collins, who is teaming up with Grey Bull Rescue and acting as the liaison for the State of Florida, told The Daily Wire that there are just under 5,000 Americans on the list to leave. “We’re doing all that we can,” Collins told The Daily Wire. “It’s time to get our people home.” Collins’ team has been assisting Americans traveling to Jordanian airports to get on chartered flights back to the United States. They also assisted in evacuating about 1,500 Americans who were on a 10-day Birthright trip to Israel, arranging for them to take a cruise ship to Cyprus, where they were able to board flights home. Collins said Florida, under the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis, is the only state government playing a role in evacuating Americans, including those who are not Floridians. According to Collins, Florida is providing some logistical and financial support. LIVE UPDATES: IRAN REFUSES TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE UNITED STATES “We’re the only state doing this,” he said. “I think that leadership matters, we stand for our people and we are willing to protect them, and that’s what we are going to do,” he said. Florida also played a role in the aftermath of October 7 by evacuating 200 Americans and sending two large planes to Israel with 85 pallets of donated supplies. U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced that the State Department is working on getting military, commercial and charter flights, as well as cruise ships to help Americans evacuate as well. Collins said he has seen a wide variety of Americans evacuate, including elderly people and families with young children. “Overwhelmingly, many of them thought the Iron Dome was impenetrable, but when these supersonic missiles started landing, it really rocked people’s world,” he said. “It’s just a different kind of munition that they’ve seen in other conflicts. It’s very real.” Collins shared that one evacuee thought “everything was going to be fine until he saw a drone fly by his window.” TRUMP HAS BEEN CLEAR FOR 14 YEARS THAT IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON Newsweek’s senior editor-at-large, Josh Hammer, was one of the evacuees who worked with Collins and Grey Bull Rescue, fleeing with his wife and six-month-old daughter this week. “For four days after that, we more or less stayed put and tried to ride out the storm,” Hammer said, adding that he decided to leave after an Iranian ballistic missile struck the town near where he was staying on Sunday night. “We made frequent visits to the basement bomb shelter in the home where we were staying, having to be ready at a moment’s notice to jump out of a deep sleep and seek emergency protection ASAP in the wee hours of the morning.” For some personal news — As you may recall, I was in Israel when the IDF began its operations in Iran last week. For four days after that, we more or less stayed put and tried to ride out the storm. We made frequent visits to the basement bomb shelter in the home where we were… — Josh Hammer (@josh_hammer) June 19, 2025 “I love my Israeli friends and recently published an entire book on this topic,” Hammer added. “But I had to do the only responsible thing a father in my situation would do — get us out.” Since the conflict began, Iran has launched more than 450 missiles at Israel, with 50 making impact. A total of 24 Israelis have been killed, and 1,217 injured — including 12 in serious condition, 37 moderately injured, and 1,156 with minor injuries. More than 30,735 property damage claims have been filed, and 8,190 people have been evacuated from their homes. “Grey Bull Rescue’s expertise on the ground is unquestionable,” Collins said. “CEO Bryan Stern and members of his board are incredibly gifted.” Stern’s nonprofit is credited with saving 117 Americans stranded in Afghanistan following former President Joe Biden’s chaotic military withdrawal. In the next mission, Collins says he hopes to evacuate 300 to 600 people. While the group still has the ability to use ships, Collins says that, as of now, they prefer using chartered jets. Collins said he has had a positive experience working with the Israeli government — which is currently running repatriation flights for thousands of Israelis stranded overseas. “The Israelis have been incredibly supportive,” he said. “The entire government has been supportive, and the Jordanians as well. I couldn’t ask for more, frankly.” PENTAGON OFFICIAL REMOVED FROM JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF FOR ANTI-ISRAEL POSTS Collins, a Green Beret and combat veteran who lost his leg due to injuries while serving in Afghanistan, said he remains focused while operating under missile attacks and is grateful for Israel’s early missile warning system. “This is just another theater,” he said. “Israel has an incredible early warning system that gives us a heads-up. I’ve been in combat, and I am not afraid of it, but I respect it. I am just focused on getting our people home.” Collins said he is unsure if the conflict will come to an end soon, but pointed out the options on the table. “Either Iran is going to back down or Israel is going to back down, which is highly unlikely,” he said. “It could become an all-out conflict, or there could be an uprising in Iran which leads to a shift back to the Shah and away from Iran’s current regime, which would be amazing. Under the Shah, Iran was much more free, and had a better relationship with America. It would be great for the Middle East.”

National Guard Decision Is a Win for Public Safety, Not Just the President

National Guard Decision Is a Win for Public Safety, Not Just the President

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals of the Ninth Circuit released a unanimous opinion upholding President Donald Trump’s federalization of the California National Guard, and the media is portraying this as a win for the president over California Gov. Gavin Newsom. It was, but it’s also a win for the public safety of the residents of Los Angeles, for local and federal law enforcement, and for a civilized society—a win against lawlessness, mob violence, and the reckless politics of a governor intent on ignoring the mayhem caused by violent agitators and his own weak actions.  It almost seems as if Newsom is living in some alternate reality. Faced with multiple videos and extensive news coverage of looting, arson, and attacks on law enforcement officers and federal buildings, Newsom was apparently more interested in putting up a public political fight against Trump than in actually dealing with the chaos, havoc, and disorder occurring in Los Angeles.  What other conclusion is possible? His support for obstruction of federal immigration officers is reminiscent of the obstruction of enforcement by federal officers of civil rights laws by Southern governors in the 1950s and 1960s. This really was a simple issue. The National Guard is basically the equivalent of the state militias when we first became a nation, and it’s normally under the control of the governor of a state. But as the Ninth Circuit panel outlined, federal law (10 U.S.C. § 12406) authorizes the president to “call into Federal service members and units of the National Guard of any State” under three specific conditions. The president can federalize the National Guard and take control if we are invaded, if there is a rebellion or danger of rebellion, or if he “is unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States.” Trump acted under that third condition when he called up the California National Guard for 60 days in a June 7 memorandum. And despite Newsom’s frivolous claims to the contrary, what was happening in Los Angeles obviously met that condition. As the opinion points out, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, their vehicles, and the ICE building and federal courthouse in downtown Los Angeles, were being attacked with “concrete chunks, bottles of liquid, and other objects,” with “mortar-style fireworks with multiple explosions,” rocks, and with Molotov cocktails. Streets were being barricaded by protesters, blocking traffic, burning vehicles, and vandalizing property and numerous buildings. The National Guard was directed to “temporarily protect ICE and other United States Government personnel who are performing Federal functions, including enforcement of Federal law, and to protect Federal property.” Newsom filed suit and obtained an injunction from liberal district court judge Charles Breyer—brother of former Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer—who substituted his judgment for that of the president as to whether federalization was “justified” by the anarchy in the streets of the city. Breyer denied the Guard was needed to restore order, and said, unbelievably, that deployment of the troops “inflames tensions with protesters.”  Even if that were true, so what? Whether lawful federal action inflames the passions of scofflaws is legally irrelevant.  Breyer also claimed that allowing the Guard to be used to quell the anarchy in Los Angeles would “deprive” the state of the use of the Guard “to fight fires, combat the fentanyl trade, and perform other critical functions.” That claim is laughable given Newsom’s failures in the horrendous L.A. fires and his nonuse of the Guard to “combat the fentanyl trade.” In any event, that is a policy question and has no “bearing on the question” of whether the president has “the authority” to federalize the Guard under the statute, said the appeals court. As the Ninth Circuit panel concluded in throwing out Breyer’s injunction, the president’s decision is reviewable by the judiciary. However, the president is extended a “highly deferential standard of review” and in this matter, the facts presented were sufficient for the court to “conclude that the President had a colorable basis for invoking” his authority under the statute. Those facts included “protesters’ interference with the ability of federal officers to execute the laws” and the attacks on federal officers and federal buildings. The court also dismissed Newsom’s claim that the president did not meet the procedural requirement in the statute that the president’s order “be issued through the governors of the states.” Not only did Trump call Newsom, but his order was sent through the Secretary of Defense to the commanding general of the California National Guard, who then gave it to the governor.  This satisfied the procedural requirement since Trump’s federalization order “was issued through an agent [the Adjutant General of the Guard] of the Governor in the Governor’s name.” The statute only requires that the “President’s order be issued through the Governor, not directly by the Governor.” Most importantly, the text of the federal law “does not give governors any veto power over the President’s federalization decision.” California’s claim, that the governor has to at least be “consulted about an order,” is also not supported by the plain text. In essence, Newsom lost on every single claim that he made. It’s too bad he spent so much time on this lawsuit instead of trying to cooperate with the president in trying to restore order to Tinseltown, whose tinsel was being burned, looted, and vandalized while Newsom pontificated in the public square. Like any losing party before a federal appeals court, Newsom has the option to ask that the entire Ninth Circuit review the case, or he can file a petition for certiorari with the U.S. Supreme Court and hope that they take up his case. Either move keeps his case “alive” for the time being.  As a legal matter, this case is a loser for him. But actually winning may not have been the real reason he sued Trump in the first place. This may be more about building his political bona fides with his political party for 2028.  The post National Guard Decision Is a Win for Public Safety, Not Just the President appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Shattered Trust: Experts Want to Prevent Government Overreach in Future Pandemic Responses

Sen. Rand Paul, along with several medical and policy public experts, highlighted Tuesday how the government’s mishandling of COVID-19 has left in its wake challenges regarding vaccines and a distrust of government and the medical industry. The Kentucky Republican spoke at a Heritage Foundation event titled “Shattered Trust: Parents, COVID, and the Vaccine Reckoning.” He discussed what measures the nation must take to prevent history from repeating itself, promoting the idea of limiting the government’s emergency powers as well as curbing the influence and involvement of people like Dr. Anthony Fauci. “The Left thinks the public is stupid. The Left has a very disdainful outlook on who you are,” Paul said. “They think you can make your decisions—‘My body my choice’—unless it applies to a vaccine, unless it applies to your health care decisions, unless it applies to going to work or going to church, then it’s no longer your choice. But we need to be careful that we are very, very certain of what happened [during the pandemic], so we don’t have it happen again.” He continued: “The bottom line also is, we need to decentralize these things. I may not be right on everything, but you got a choice whether to listen to me or not. Once your governor mandates it [living restrictions], you don’t have a choice. We need to decentralize these things out of Washington, out of state capitals, and let health care remain where it ought to be, and that’s with the individual.” Tiffany Justice, co-founder of Moms for Liberty and chair of the Parental Rights Initiative at The Heritage Foundation, discussed the effects mandates and fearmongering during COVID-19 had on school systems, children, and parents. “A spirit of fear gripped our nation. I wasn’t sure what was worse, the fact that there was so much government overreach that was happening or that the American people had seemed to lose their will to fight to defend our freedom and our liberty. Our children were sacrificed on an altar of adult selfishness and fear,” Justice said. There was so much misinformation propagated by media outlets and health organizations that teachers unions were able put out a “fantastical list of demands,” said David Zweig, journalist and author of “An Abundance of Caution: American Schools, the Virus, and a Story of Bad Decisions.” “In many places, we [couldn’t] open the school until there [were] HEPA filters in place. We [couldn’t] open until, you know, there’s barriers on the desk,” he said. “None of these things were being used across the board in Europe where kids, millions of children—millions of them—had already been back in school,” he continued. “Yet we were essentially held hostage to a list of demands that had no scientific underpinning, and moreover, [we] had evidence that showed they weren’t necessary because kids were in school without them. Yet there wasn’t any pushback from the people who actually should have known better. There wasn’t pushback either from the media by and large. So, this enabled the teachers unions to sort of leverage these circumstances.” Mary Holland, CEO and general counsel of Children’s Health Defense, said she supports Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy’s “radical transparency, gold standard science.” Kennedy and others have stated that transparency means federal health recommendations, treatments, advisories, vaccine approvals, and so on would be based on scientific evidence, not a political or ideological agenda being pushed by the government, the bureaucracy, or those in the health care industry. “It’s becoming a movement,” Dr. Kimberly Vacca said about parents resisting vaccines for their babies at the time of birth. Vacca is the secretary and a fellow at the American College of Pediatricians. “Whether it [the movement] is right, wrong, or indifferent, I don’t know, but we need to find the information so that we can be giving it to the parents, so that they are making a decision not just based on fear, but based on science and understanding truly what the risks are on either side of it.” Leland Lehrman, executive director of the Make American Healthy Again Institute, said the Heritage event “was a stunningly courageous look at the most egregious aspects of not just the last five years, but the entire American medical system.” The post Shattered Trust: Experts Want to Prevent Government Overreach in Future Pandemic Responses appeared first on The Daily Signal.

How to Plan the Perfect Road Trip with Your Dog

How to Plan the Perfect Road Trip with Your Dog

At DogingtonPost, we know that road trips with your furry friend can be an incredible bonding experience. Planning ahead is key to ensuring a smooth journey for both you and your canine companion. Our road trip with dog tips will help you prepare for every aspect of your adventure, from packing essentials to finding pet-friendly accommodations. Let’s explore how to make your next road trip with your dog a tail-wagging success! How to Prepare Your Dog for a Road Trip Schedule a Pre-Trip Vet Visit Your first stop before hitting the road should be your veterinarian’s office. This visit allows your vet to assess your dog’s overall health and fitness for a long journey. They’ll update vaccinations, which is particularly important if you plan to cross state lines or stay at campgrounds that require proof of vaccination. This ensures your pet is protected against diseases they may encounter during travel. During this appointment, ask your vet about motion sickness remedies if your dog tends to get queasy during car rides. Some dogs benefit from over-the-counter options, while others might need prescription medications. Your vet will guide you on the best choice for your pup. Update ID and Microchip Information Check that your dog’s ID tags contain your current contact information. The ID tag should include the owner’s name, address, telephone numbers (day and evening) and the pet’s name. If you’ve moved recently or changed phone numbers, get new tags made. This small step can make a huge difference if your dog gets lost during your trip. For microchipped dogs, contact the microchip company to verify that your contact details are up-to-date in their database. If your dog isn’t microchipped, consider this procedure before your trip. It’s a quick process that can be a lifesaver if your dog wanders off in an unfamiliar place. Pack the Doggy Essentials Create a dedicated “doggy go-bag” that’s easily accessible during your trip. Include: Food for the entire trip (plus a few extra days) Collapsible water and food bowls Regular medications Poop bags (pack more than you think you’ll need) Your dog’s favorite treats A sturdy leash and collar A copy of your dog’s medical records and vaccination certificates A recent photo of your dog (in case they get lost) A familiar blanket or bed Don’t forget to pack a pet-specific first aid kit. You can buy these pre-made or assemble your own with guidance from your vet. Train Your Dog for Car Travel If your dog isn’t accustomed to long car rides, start preparing them well before your trip. Begin with short drives around the neighborhood and gradually increase the duration. Make these practice runs positive experiences by offering treats and praise. Try different positions in the car to find where your dog is most comfortable. Some dogs prefer a crate that has been anchored to the vehicle, while others do better with a car harness. Whatever you choose, make sure it’s crash-tested for safety. Use these practice runs to familiarize your dog with any travel gear you’ll use on the trip (like a portable water bowl or a new harness). This familiarity will reduce stress when you’re on the actual road trip. With these preparations complete, you’re ready to move on to the next exciting phase: choosing dog-friendly destinations and accommodations for your adventure. Where to Find Dog-Friendly Destinations Locating Pet-Friendly Accommodations Your road trip success depends on finding places that welcome your four-legged friend. Specialized websites like BringFido list over 500,000 pet-friendly places to stay, play, and eat with your dog. Always call ahead to confirm pet policies (they can change unexpectedly). Many hotel chains now roll out the red carpet for dogs. Kimpton Hotels welcome pets of all sizes at no extra charge. La Quinta Inns & Suites allow up to two dogs per room at most locations. For a homier feel, search for vacation rentals on Airbnb or VRBO. Filter for pet-friendly options and read reviews from other dog owners who’ve stayed there. Outdoor enthusiasts often find campgrounds ideal for dogs. Hipcamp can help you discover dog-friendly campsites, including unique experiences on private land. Discovering Dog-Friendly Activities After securing your accommodations, plan your itinerary. Many cities now boast dog parks where your pup can run off-leash and socialize. DogPark.com maintains a database of over 6,600 off-leash dog parks across the United States. Beaches can thrill water-loving dogs, but rules vary widely. Carmel Beach in California allows dogs to run off-leash, while many other beaches require leashes or prohibit dogs entirely. Some wineries and breweries have embraced the dog-friendly trend. The Finger Lakes region in New York has several dog-friendly wineries where your pup can join you for a tasting. Understanding Local Regulations Research local leash laws and pet regulations before you arrive at your destination. Some cities have strict leash laws with hefty fines for violations. The American Kennel Club provides a state-by-state guide to dog laws as a helpful starting point. National parks often restrict where dogs can go. Many parks allow pets in developed areas and some trails. Check the official park website for the most up-to-date information. Considering Weather and Terrain Choose your destination based on your dog’s breed and physical capabilities. A husky might love a winter trip to Colorado, while a short-haired breed might prefer a beach vacation. For hiking trips, assess the difficulty of trails and their suitability for your dog. AllTrails allows users to filter for dog-friendly hikes and provides user reviews that often mention experiences with dogs. Hot pavement can burn your dog’s paws. If the ground feels too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your dog’s feet. Plan activities for cooler parts of the day or seek out grassy areas in hot weather. With your dog-friendly destinations mapped out, it’s time to focus on keeping your furry friend safe and comfortable during the journey itself. How to Keep Your Dog Safe During the Road Trip Choose the Right Restraint System Safety should be your top priority when you travel with your furry friend. A secure and comfortable dog creates a stress-free journey for everyone. Invest in a crash-tested harness or crate for your dog. The Center for Pet Safety awarded the Cabela’s GunDog crate five stars, meaning it has passed the main parameters: The doors remained locked during testing. These products might seem pricey, but they protect your dog’s life (and potentially yours too). Take Regular Breaks Stop every 2-3 hours for potty breaks and exercise. This schedule keeps your dog comfortable and prevents accidents in the car. Use apps like iExit or Roadtrippers to find pet-friendly rest stops along your route. Always keep your dog on a leash during these breaks – even well-trained dogs can get spooked in unfamiliar surroundings. Manage Car Temperature Dogs can’t regulate their body temperature as efficiently as humans. Keep the car at a comfortable temperature for your dog. Never leave your dog alone in a parked car, even for a few minutes. According to the AVMA, the temperature inside a vehicle can rise by 20°F in just 10 minutes, regardless of whether it’s 70°F or 110°F outside. Pack a Dog-Specific First Aid Kit Prepare for unexpected situations by packing a first aid kit specifically for your dog. Include items such as gauze, adhesive tape, scissors, tweezers, and any medications your dog might need. Try to familiarize yourself with basic pet first aid techniques before your trip. Monitor Your Dog’s Comfort Pay attention to your dog’s behavior during the trip. Signs of discomfort or stress can include excessive panting, drooling, whining, or restlessness. If you notice these signs, take a break and assess your dog’s needs. You might need to adjust the temperature, offer water, or provide a comfort break. Final Thoughts A road trip with your dog creates unforgettable adventures and strengthens your bond. Our road trip with dog tips help you prepare for a journey that both you and your furry companion will enjoy. Choosing dog-friendly destinations opens up a world of possibilities, from pet-welcoming beaches to scenic hiking trails. Safety should always come first during your travels. Invest in proper restraints, take regular breaks, and monitor your dog’s comfort in the car. These precautions keep your dog safe and contribute to a stress-free journey for everyone involved (including other drivers on the road). As you embark on your adventure, cherish every moment with your canine companion. We at DogingtonPost hope these tips inspire you to plan your next road trip with your furry best friend. Happy travels!

ABC and NBC Refuse to Cover DeSantis' Israel Evacuation Efforts

Friday’s CBS Mornings rightfully touted the successful evacuation of Americans trapped in Israel through the efforts of Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), a headline you would expect would be getting more attention. However, their broadcast network competitors ignored the story entirely. Rather than cover real news, particularly news that would paint a Republican governor in a positive light, channels like ABC and NBC decided instead to cover irrelevant events. Across all three hours of NBC’s Today, there was not a single mention of America’s evacuation efforts in Israel. In general, Today spent a fair amount of time on the Israeli-Iranian war, with 5 minutes and 41 seconds of programming dedicated to it. they could have easily inserted the rescues there, but instead NBC wasted their time covering the same pop culture news they had been talking about all week.     Today gave a 5 minute, 5 second segment to more coverage of the 50th anniversary of the movie Jaws. Celebrating the shark conservation efforts inspired by the movie in a segment nearly as long as the entirety of their Middle Eastern coverage, NBC ignored a much more significant story, one that revolved around saving human lives. In a similar vein, ABC’s Good Morning America turned a blind eye to the story, electing instead to highlight their idea of a feel-good story: queer couples exchanging sperm so as to enable each other to have kids. This was the featured story of Good Morning America’s daily Pride Month celebration, which some days would get more airtime than actual news headlines. Shark conservation efforts and sperm donors were far from the most pressing issues in America. So why were major news outlets opting to cover them over the rescue of American citizens in Israel? The most obvious explanation was that liberal media did not want to give credit to DeSantis for his efforts. CBS correspondent Manuel Bojorquez gave the story the proper time, acknowledging DeSantis’ impressive efforts: [O]ver the last several days, by air, land, and sea, it has been an all-out effort to get these Americans back home. Take a look at the latest flight to arrive here at Tampa International Airport. Landed very early this morning. Some of those evacuees left the country on a cruise ship, reportedly escorted by the Israeli Navy, before boarding a plane in Cyprus. This is one of two flights so far chartered by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is trying to evacuate 1,500 people from Israel.” But rather than highlight these substantial efforts, stations like NBC and ABC opted to push their typical stories instead. There is no reason this story would not be featured except to maintain an agenda. Bojorquez, live on the scene as the passengers were let off the plane, interviewed two rescued Americans, who attested to the terrifying conditions they were faced with: KYLE: I think as we started going to shelters more often, it started to sink in a little bit more, about how serious this conflict was. RACHEL GREENBAUM: While we were there, we were in shelters. We saw rockets falling. We saw missiles. The alarm was going on over at least four, five times a night. It’s very, very difficult, what Israel is going through. It is brutal. There was no excuse for networks like NBC and ABC to ignore this story, one that served as testament to the State of Florida’s commitment to protecting its citizens and the citizens of the United States. But instead of giving a Republican governor credit, those networks chose to hide the story, wasting their airtime on irrelevant stories. The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read. CBS Mornings June 20, 2025 8:04 a.m. EST GAYLE KING: In the Middle East, Israel attacked more targets in Iran overnight and a missile from Iran caused heavy damage in this Israeli neighborhood. Other countries are rushing to get their citizens out of Israel, including thousands of Americans with a little help from the state of Florida.  [ON SCREEN HEADLINE: Evacuating the Conflict: American Citizens Arriving Back in the U.S. Amid Deadly Strikes] Manuel Bojorquez is at Tampa International Airport, where these rescue flights are landing. Manuel, good morning to you. MANUEL BOJORQUEZ: Good morning, Gayle. You know, over the last several days, by air, land, and sea, it has been an all-out effort to get these Americans back home. Take a look at the latest flight to arrive here at Tampa International Airport. Landed very early this morning. Some of those evacuees left the country on a cruise ship, reportedly escorted by the Israeli Navy, before boarding a plane in Cyprus.  This is one of two flights so far chartered by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is trying to evacuate 1,500 people from Israel. Many were on what's called a Birthright Israel trip. And we spoke this morning with two U.S. citizens who describe bunkering in bomb shelters during their time there. [Cuts to video] KYLE, EVACUEE: I think as we started going to shelters more often, it started to sink in a little bit more, about how serious this conflict was. RACHEL GREENBAUM, EVACUEE: While we were there, we were in shelters. We saw rockets falling. We saw missiles. The alarm was going on over at least four, five times a night. [Transition] It’s very, very difficult, what Israel is going through. It is brutal. [Cuts back to live] BOJORQUEZ: Several nonprofits have also been enlisted to help. One of them is called Grey Bull Rescues, it’s based right here in Florida. And according to the organization, more than 4,000 people in Israel have signed up to try to be part of one of these evacuation flights, and they believe that number could grow to 6,000 over the weekend. Tony. TONY DOKOUPIL: Alright, Manny, thank you very much. Appreciate it.

'Conspiracy theorists' right again? FBI reveals MASSIVE alleged Chinese voter fraud plot

Kash Patel has dropped a bombshell that, if true, would prove a lot of Americans who questioned the results of the 2020 election right. The FBI director turned over an intelligence report to Congress that exposes an alleged Chinese campaign to mess with the election results through the creation of thousands of fake U.S. driver’s licenses.A confidential source alleged those driver’s licenses were to be used by the Chinese for thousands of mail-in votes to sway the election in Biden’s direction.Of course, the mainstream media is largely ignoring the development.“We were called domestic terrorists, by the way, when we questioned the 2020 election,” BlazeTV host Liz Wheeler comments. “So they cannot in good faith now report anything associated with any kind of meddling that happened in the 2020 election, or else it makes them domestic terrorists per their own definition.”According to Just the News, the “newly declassified intelligence reports from August 2020 were not corroborated or fully investigated and instead were recalled from intelligence agencies at about the time that then-FBI Director Christopher Wray testified that there were no known plots of foreign interference ahead of the 2020 election.”“We have an intelligence report, meaning a report put together by intelligence officials, and this was before the 2020 election, that said that China was producing driver’s licenses in order to take votes, and yet, this was not fully investigated,” Wheeler comments.“What the heck? Why was this not fully investigated?” she asks, adding, “Probably, the reason is ideology, right? The people inside the intel community didn’t want to investigate this because they were in the tank for Joe Biden.”Want more from Liz Wheeler? To enjoy more of Liz’s based commentary, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
