Stevie Van Zandt recovering after emergency appendix surgery

Stevie Van Zandt, the actor and guitarist of the E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen's backing group, is recovering after an emergency appendix surgery in Spain. He is currently touring with the boss in Europe and revealed on social media that he felt a "sharp pain" in his stomach that at first he believed it was food poisoning, but turned out to be appendicitis. What Stevie Van Zandt said about the surgery "Got a sharp pain in my stomach, thought it was food poisoning, turned out to be appendicitis. Got lucky with an exceptional hospital in San Sebastian. Operation was a complete success and I'm hoping to get back on stage for at least one of the shows in Milan. Thank you all for all the good vibes. See you soon," Stevie Van Zandt said. As the musician said, he won't be part of a few concerts but intends to get back on stage for at least one of the shows in Milan, Italy, that will happen next June 30 and July 3. Van Zandt was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts back in 1950 and started his musical career in 1968. He achieved fame as a member of The E Street Band, group that was crucial for Bruce Springsteen's success. He also has a prolific solo career with seven records released. The most recent one being "Summer of Sorcery" in 2019. Van Zandt is also a famous actor, best known for his role in The Sopranos TV series, which is considered one of the greatest of all time. Next Bruce Springsteen tour dates June 27 – Gelsenkirchen, Germany – Veltins Arena 30 – Milan, Italy – San Siro Stadium July 3 – Milan, Italy – San Siro Stadium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK1WMIHRsQM&list=RDHK1WMIHRsQM&start_radio=1&pp=ygUWYnJ1Y2Ugc3ByaW5nc3RlZW4gMjAyNaAHAQ%3D%3DThe post Stevie Van Zandt recovering after emergency appendix surgery appeared first on Rock and Roll Garage.

Bruce Springsteen says he initially didn’t want to record “Born in the U.S.A.”

Released in 1984 by Bruce Springsteen, the album Born in the U.S.A. is his best-selling record, with an estimated 30 million copies sold worldwide. Interestingly, as he told Rolling Stone, he initially didn’t want to record the album’s successful title track. Bruce Springsteen says he initially didn’t want to record "Born in the U.S.A." "It was a record I put out. It became the record I made, not necessarily the record that I was interested in making. I was interested in taking 'Nebraska' and making a full record that had somewhat that same feeling." "If you hear 'My Hometown' and you hear 'Born in the U.S.A.,' they were sort of the bookends I intended. And the rest of the stuff was … just what I had at the time. Those were the songs I wrote. Those were the songs I recorded." He continued: "From conception to execution, it was not necessarily the record that in my mind I had planned on, but that's the way creativity works. You go in the studio, you have an idea. It's not necessarily what you come out with. So that was just the situation of that record for me personally." "(It wasn't only about Ronald Reagan) I guess it was to a lot of other people, too. I suppose maybe I was looking for something darker. But outside of that, the themes of 'Nebraska' are in there - in 'Downbound Train,' they're in there, they're disguised somewhat into pop music," Bruce Springsteen said. Besides the classic title-track, that album also had other famous songs like "I'm On Fire", "I'm Goin' Down", "Glory Days", "Dancing in the Dark" and "My Hometown". Springsteen still has four shows in Europe this year and recently the trailer of his upcoming biographical, "Deliver Me From Nowhere" movie was released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQXdM3J33No&pp=ygUXZGVsaXZlciBtZSBmcm9tIG5vd2hlcmU%3DThe post Bruce Springsteen says he initially didn’t want to record “Born in the U.S.A.” appeared first on Rock and Roll Garage.

David Gilmour’s opinion on Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

David Gilmour was a crucial part of the sound created by Pink Floyd, especially on their most successful albums released in the 1970s. Although they were a Progressive Rock band, Gilmour was inspired by artists and bands from many different musical genres. Over the decades, he has spoken about many groups, sharing his opinions on them. The supergroup Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young is one of the bands he has talked about. David Gilmour’s opinion on Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Gilmour is a huge fan of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and had the chance to see them playing live already. In an interview with BBC Radio 2 show “Tracks Of My Years” in 2006, he listed some of his favorite songs of all time and one of them was CSNY's "Ohio". (Transcribed by Rock and Roll Garage) “We were on tour in America when this came out. There was all this thing about the Kent State University. The four kids who got killed there in the rioting, the demonstrations against the Vietnam war. So it’s just a great song. They were always fantastic with that added to a little bit of Neil Young strength with the whole thing with Crosby, Stills & Nash great voices. Still a big fan,” David Gilmour said about the song released in 1970. Graham Nash and David Crosby recorded and played with him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uiVpxDuAhc&list=RD5uiVpxDuAhc&start_radio=1&pp=ygUmc2hpbmUgb24geW91IGNyYXp5IGRpYW1vbmQgY3Jvc2J5IG5hc2igBwHSBwkJ0AkBhyohjO8%3D He is a good friend especially of Graham Nash and was also close to the late David Crosby. Both of them were part of  the title-track of his third solo album "On An Island" released in 2006. Both of them joined the Pink Floyd member on stage that year at the Royal Albert Hall to perform the song live. During the show they also sang "The Blue" (Also from 'On an Island'), Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1-2, 4-5) and a rendition of CSNY's "Find The Cost of Freedom". The British musician Graham Nash was already known for his work with The Hollies, and David Crosby was known for being part of The Byrds. In Los Angeles, California, back in 1968, they co-founded the trio Crosby, Stills & Nash with Stephen Stills. Later on, Stills' former bandmate in Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young, was invited to join the group. Over the following decades, the lineup changed multiple times. Sometimes the band beacme a trio again and occasionally even a duo. When David Crosby passed away in 2023 at the age of 81, Gilmour shared a photo with him and wrote a special message. "We sang together, we played together and had great times together. I'll miss The Croz more than words can say. Sail on." Combining the sales of the group including solo, duo, trio and quartet they have sold an estimated amount of more than 70 million records worldwide. Graham Nash praised David Gilmour but said he stole their drummer Before Gilmour recorded "On an Island" he went to see David Crosby and Graham Nash perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London. At the time they were promoting their duo album "Crosby & Nash" released in 2004. Gilmour loved the show but also liked their drummer Steve DiStanislao. Graham Nash recalled that in an interview with The Hudson Union. (Transcribed by Rock and Roll Garage) "David and I did a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Just me, Crosby and the band. Gilmour, who we've been friends, came back to see us after the show. He said: 'I have two things to say'. I said 'Great, what is it?' He said: 'I have this song called 'On an Island' and I'd love you and David to sing on it. And the second thing is: I'm stealing your drummer', which he did." "David Gilmour has a houseboat on the Thames (River), which is a recording studio. It's the weirdest experience, you're standing in a microphone and people are rowing by the window. I though 'On an Island' by David Gilmour with me and David singing was a brilliant piece of music. The DVD of David Gilmour show with me and Crosby from the Royal Albert Hall was a joy to do. David Gilmour is a wonderful musician," Graham Nash said. Steve DiStanislao toured with many incredible artists during his career. He didn't even have to audition to Gilmour's band, he just joined them and appeared on his most recent studio albums. They are "Rattle That Lock" (2015) and "Luck and Strange" (2024). Besides Graham Nash and David Crosby, other special guests of the Gilmour DVD were Robert Wyatt and David Bowie. The post David Gilmour’s opinion on Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young appeared first on Rock and Roll Garage.

Who are the Jews really? This video explains who are the Jews that control the World?

Note to the Class from PaulsCorner-VerseQuest Ah yes… here we go again. Another student has wandered into the sacred catacombs of Unverified YouTube Theology, where stick figures hold the keys to world domination, and every vowel in “J€ws” is replaced with currency symbols like we’re decoding secret Rothschild faxes. Let’s all take a moment to marvel at the irony: Those who scream “truth” the loudest seem to have never read a Bible with both eyes open. Because if they did, they’d see Jesus—a Jew—say these explosive words in Luke 21:24: “Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” That’s Jesus talking. Not Alex Jones. Paul backs Him up in Romans 11:25–26, where he literally tells Gentile believers not to get cocky, because: “… blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulLness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved.” That’s not a global banking cabal. That’s prophecy. God isn’t done with Israel. He’s on a schedule. You’re just not reading it. Now, about the claim that today’s Jews “aren’t real Israelites”: This brilliant theory usually comes from someone who thinks Google Translate and a 15-minute slideshow gives them more authority than the Apostle Paul, a Hebrew of the Hebrews. Let’s be honest—if your “research” leads you to believe that Jesus Christ was wrong, and your Twitter thread is right, you’ve accidentally enrolled in Conspiracies 666: How to Miss the Gospel While Blaming Everyone Else. And let’s talk about this gem: “Anti-Semite = Against Shem” Yes. Yes it does. Congratulations. You know how etymology works. Too bad the guy who said “Father forgive them” from the cross was a descendant of Shem. You might’ve heard of Him. Name starts with a J… ends with “saves your soul.” So… am I “pro-Jewish”? No. I’m pro-Gospel. That means I love the Jew, the Gentile, the conspiracy theorist, and the guy who thinks Ezekiel is just ancient code for the NASDAQ. The real enemy isn’t “the Jews.” It’s Satan, sin, and pride masquerading as wisdom while rejecting the plain Word of God. Final homework: ? Read Romans 9–11 without YouTube commentary. ? Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). ? And maybe stop reposting cartoons drawn with Crayola hate crayons. Midterm grade: F for Fake Doctrine. See me after class if you still think Jesus was born in Switzerland. — Professor VerseQuest “Exposing ignorance, one tweet at a time.”
