10 Events That Made the U.S. a Superpower

The term superpower describes a nation with unmatched influence in global politics, economics, and military strength. From its revolutionary beginnings in the late 18th century, the United States journeyed from a fledgling collection of colonies to a world-shaping giant. This transformation was neither swift nor inevitable. It unfolded through a series of pivotal events that ...

President Trump: “My Intelligence Community Is Wrong”

President Trump: “My Intelligence Community Is Wrong”

President Trump called out his intelligence community for the second time in a week. Trump called out his intelligence community on Friday evening while taking questions from the press in New Jersey. A reporter told Trump his own intelligence community has stated that there is no evidence Iran is building a nuclear weapon. The reporter further noted that DNI Tulsi Gabbard, during a congressional hearing three months ago, testified Iran did not have any nuclear weapons. However, Gabbard has clarified that the media has taken her comments out of context. Take a look: The dishonest media is intentionally taking my testimony out of context and spreading fake news as a way to manufacture division. America has intelligence that Iran is at the point that it can produce a nuclear weapon within weeks to months, if they decide to finalize the… pic.twitter.com/mYxjpJY2ud — DNI Tulsi Gabbard (@DNIGabbard) June 20, 2025 Trump responded to the reporter’s original question that his intelligence community is wrong, and so is Gabbard. The New York Post had more details to report: President Trump tore into the US intelligence community on Friday for having been “wrong” about how close Iran was to acquiring a nuclear weapon months ago, telling reporters that he now believes Tehran has a “tremendous amount” of enriched uranium that could build a bomb in just a few weeks. Trump made the assessment after breaking from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s testimony before Congress in March that Iran was not building nuclear weapons. “What intelligence do you have that Iran is building a weapon? Your intelligence community said they have no evidence that they are at this point,” the reporter asked Trump on the tarmac outside of Bedminster, New Jersey. “Then my intelligence community is wrong,” the president said, asking who said that. “She’s wrong,” he said of Gabbard. The spy chief had also noted in her testimony that Iran’s uranium stockiples were at unprecedented levels for a non-nuclear state. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday that “Iran has all that it needs to keep a nuclear weapon” and “all they need is a decision from the Supreme leader to do that.” Watch Trump here: Trump Flat-Out Says Tulsi Gabbard Is 'Wrong' pic.twitter.com/TLYZAf3ajg — News and Java (@newsandjava) June 20, 2025 This is the second time Trump has stated Gabbard is wrong. Here’s what he said last week: CNN: You’ve always said you don’t believe Iran should have a nuke. Tulsi Gabbard testified in March that Iran wasn’t building a nuclear weapon. Trump: I don’t care what she said. They were very close to getting a nuke. pic.twitter.com/YJKMGNlvlz — Townhall.com (@townhallcom) June 17, 2025 Despite President Trump’s remarks, Gabbard has stated that she and President Trump are on the same page. Per Politico: Gabbard insisted to reporters Tuesday that she and the president are “on the same page” on Iran, and a person close to Gabbard denied any tensions between her and the president. As recently as Tuesday, the two were meeting with other top officials in the Situation Room at the White House, and the administration even changed the time of the briefing to accommodate her schedule to ensure she could attend, the person said. The Gabbard ally added that she is fully on board with what Trump is trying to do with Iran, and said she has never let her personal views color the advice she provides to the president — nor has she tried to sway Trump to her own point of view. Asked for comment, White House spokesperson Steven Cheung said the president “has full confidence in his entire exceptional national security team” and insisted that “efforts by the legacy media to sow internal division are a distraction that will not work.” Vice President JD Vance’s team also reached out unprompted Tuesday night to defend Gabbard in a statement, arguing that she is “an essential member” of the team.

GOP Reportedly Considers Redrawing Congressional Districts In Two States

According to multiple reports, Republicans are considering redrawing congressional districts in two states before the midterm elections. Republicans currently have a narrow advantage in the House of Representatives but have weighed redrawing the districts in Ohio and Texas. It could potentially give the GOP seven additional House seats. HUGE NEWS: Republicans consider redrawing the U.S. House district lines in OHIO and TEXAS, to pick up a total of 7 GOP seats. This could stave off a Democratic House chamber flip in 2026. pic.twitter.com/On39rIeYys — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) June 21, 2025 Per CNN: In Ohio, a quirk in state law is giving Republican state legislators another run at drawing new lines for the state’s 15 congressional districts. The goal would be to knock off two Democratic members of the House, giving the GOP a 12-3 advantage in the state’s congressional delegation. State lawmakers could go even further and target a third Democratic seat. In Texas, meanwhile, Republicans are considering whether to hold a special legislative session to undertake a rare mid-decade map-drawing that supporters hope could result in the GOP picking up as many as five additional seats. Democrats need a net gain of just three seats to win the House, raising the stakes for Republicans and President Donald Trump, who could see a Democrat-led House block his legislative agenda and open new investigations of him in the second half of his final term. But redistricting is a double-edged sword: In drawing new lines, both states could also endanger GOP lawmakers by moving safe Republican territory into districts currently represented by Democrats. Adam Kincaid, president and executive director of the National Republican Redistricting Trust, favors an aggressive redistricting approach. “It’s a priority to keep the House, and Republicans should be looking for as many seats as we can get,” he said. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) views Texas as a critical battleground for Democrats to potentially flip the House. “Be careful what you wish for,” he said. Hakeem Jeffries all but dares Texas GOP to redraw district lines: "Careful what you wish for" https://t.co/aXkFKBDKfN — The Hill (@thehill) June 12, 2025 From The Hill: Jeffries, who is already forecasting that Democrats will flip control of the chamber, said the Texas districts are already so gerrymandered in the Republicans’ favor that tweaking the lines might actually play to the Democrats’ advantage by making a handful of safe GOP seats more competitive. He put the number between four and six. “A lot of Democrats that we’ve talked to from Texas [have] actually come to the conclusion, based on the fact that the map is already gerrymandered at its height, that they could open up four to six swing seat opportunities that don’t exist right now for Democrats,” Jeffries told reporters in the Capitol. Jeffries pointed to another rare, mid-decade redistricting process in North Carolina in 2023, which empowered Republicans to seize three Democratic seats — and turn an evenly split delegation (seven Republicans and seven Democrats) into a lopsided 10-4 advantage for the GOP. The ratio is hardly reflective of the demographics in the Tar Heel State — a true battleground, where the number of registered Republicans and Democrats is roughly identical. Democrats have decried the shift as an underhanded power grab — “They stole three seats,” Jeffries said Thursday — but they’re hoping a similar effort in Texas will backfire on the Republicans in next year’s midterms. “Instead of doing what they did in North Carolina, where they basically snatched victory from the jaws of electoral defeat that they were heading toward, they actually could provide enough seats in Texas alone for Democrats to take the majority back,” Jeffries said.

President Trump Announces Treaty Between Warring Nations

President Trump announced that he and Secretary of State Marco Rubio brokered a treaty between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda. “I am very happy to report that I have arranged, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a wonderful Treaty between the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Republic of Rwanda, in their War, which was known for violent bloodshed and death, more so even than most other Wars, and has gone on for decades. Representatives from Rwanda and the Congo will be in Washington on Monday to sign Documents. This is a Great Day for Africa and, quite frankly, a Great Day for the World!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for this, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between India and Pakistan, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for stopping the War between Serbia and Kosovo, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for keeping Peace between Egypt and Ethiopia (A massive Ethiopian built dam, stupidly financed by the United States of America, substantially reduces the water flowing into The Nile River), and I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for doing the Abraham Accords in the Middle East which, if all goes well, will be loaded to the brim with additional Countries signing on, and will unify the Middle East for the first time in ‘The Ages!’ No, I won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize no matter what I do, including Russia/Ukraine, and Israel/Iran, whatever those outcomes may be, but the people know, and that’s all that matters to me!” he continued. CBS News reports: While many in the region will welcome an end to the long-running and deadly conflict, Daniel Van Dalen, a senior analyst at the Africa-focused intelligence firm Signal Risk, says the way the agreement was hashed out signals a major change in geopolitical efforts to end crises on the continent. The days of diplomatic soft power, he says, are over. Officials have said the agreement is part of the U.S.’ new bid under President Trump to build relationships in Africa that are more transactional and less focused on exerting soft power through diplomacy and investment. The deal came after three days of talks in Washington between DRC and Rwandan delegations — and after many previous failed attempts to secure an agreement between the two countries. If implemented, the agreement will end the fighting in eastern DRC. It could also bring billions of dollars of American investment into the region, which is rich in the minerals coltan, cobalt, lithium, copper and gold, all of which are critical in the manufacture of electric vehicles, smartphones, computers and a wide range of other high-tech goods, from satellites to military weapons systems. Although Trump said he would never win a Nobel Peace Prize, the Government of Pakistan nominated him for the honor. “The Government of Pakistan has decided to formally recommend President Donald J. Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis,” the Government of Pakistan wrote on X. Trump for 2026 Nobel Peace Prize The Government of Pakistan has decided to formally recommend President Donald J. Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership during the recent India-Pakistan crisis. The international community bore witness to unprovoked and unlawful Indian aggression, which constituted a grave violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, resulting in the tragic loss of innocent lives, including women, children, and the elderly. In exercising its fundamental right to self-defense, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos—a measured, resolute, and precise military response, carefully executed to re-establish deterrence and defend its territorial integrity while consciously avoiding civilian harm. At a moment of heightened regional turbulence, President Trump demonstrated great strategic foresight and stellar statesmanship through robust diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi which de-escalated a rapidly deteriorating situation, ultimately securing a ceasefire and averting a broader conflict between the two nuclear states that would have had catastrophic consequences for millions of people in the region and beyond. This intervention stands as a testament to his role as a genuine peacemaker and his commitment to conflict resolution through dialogue. The Government of Pakistan also acknowledges and greatly admires President Trump’s sincere offers to help resolve the longstanding dispute of Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan—an issue that lies at the heart of regional instability. Durable peace in South Asia would remain elusive until the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions concerning Jammu and Kashmir. President Trump’s leadership during the 2025 Pakistan India crisis manifestly showcases the continuation of his legacy of pragmatic diplomacy and effective peace-building. Pakistan remains hopeful that his earnest efforts will continue to contribute towards regional and global stability, particularly in the context of ongoing crises in the Middle East, including the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Gaza and the deteriorating escalation involving Iran. India reportedly denied third-party mediations took place. Per Reuters: Vikram Misri, Indian Foreign Secretary “Prime Minister Modi clearly told President Trump that during the entire course of the event, India-America trade deal or mediation between India and Pakistan were never discussed at any level. All discussions related to cessation of military action took place directly between India and Pakistan through existing channels of the two armed forces, and took place at Pakistan’s request. Prime Minister Modi said with greater emphasis that India had never accepted mediation, nor does it accept it, nor would it ever do so. There is a complete political consensus on this in India.” Trump had said last month that the nuclear-armed South Asian neighbors agreed to a ceasefire after talks mediated by the U.S., and that the hostilities ended after he urged the countries to focus on trade instead of war. India has previously denied any third-party mediation and Tuesday’s phone call between Modi and Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada, which Modi attended as a guest, is their first direct exchange since the May 7-10 conflict.

MUST SEE: Volcano Eruption In Hawaii Sends Lava Shooting Over 1,000 Ft. In The Air

You don’t see this every day. A volcano in Hawaii has erupted, and it wasn’t a small eruption either! Kilauea volcano erupted on Friday, sending lava over 1,000 feet into the Air. The eruption marks the second time in three months that Kilauea has erupted. CBS News had more details to add: Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano is erupting again in spectacular fashion, sending lava shooting 1,000 feet into the sky, according to the United States Geological Survey. On Friday morning, “Episode 26” of the ongoing eruption at Halemaʻumaʻu — the pit crater within Kīlauea Caldera at the summit of the volcano — spewed lava fountains that reached massive heights, according to the USGS’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. Episode 26 was preceded by small, sporadic spattering and lava overflows, according to the USGS. Kilauea, one of the most active volcanoes in the world and located on the Big Island, has been especially active in the last several months, erupting dozens of times since December. In May, Kilauea also spewed leva more than 1,000 feet. On June 11, eruptions at Kilauea measured at more than 330 feet, according to the USGS. Per CNN: A volcanic eruption in Indonesia sent an enormous ash cloud more than six miles into the sky, disrupting or canceling dozens of flights to and from the tourist island of Bali. Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki erupted at 5:35pm local time on Tuesday, unleashing a 6.8-mile (11-kilometer) hot ash column over the tourist island of Flores in south-central Indonesia, the country’s Geology Agency said. Images showed an orange mushroom-shaped cloud engulfing the nearby village of Talibura with sightings reported up to 93 miles (150km) away. Officials issued the country’s highest alert and urged tourists to stay away. Dozens of flights were halted in Bali, according to Denpasar International Airport website, which marked the disruptions “due to volcano.” They included domestic routes to Jakarta and Lombok as well as others to Australia, China, India, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore.
