President Trump Authorizes CIA Operations In Venezuela

I’m not sure how to feel about this… President Trump has just authorized the CIA to conduct operations in Venezuela. Trump made the announcement during a press conference alongside FBI Director Kash Patel. Fox News was the first to break the story on Trump’s move to mobilize the CIA and revealed the two reasons why he made the decision: President Donald Trump confirmed he would be authorizing Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) activity in Venezuela amid his efforts to combat Latin American drug traffickers with force. Trump indicated during a press conference alongside FBI Director Kash Patel on Wednesday that his administration was next looking “at land” in Latin America after the U.S. military conducted at least five fatal strikes against alleged drug boats in the Caribbean since last month. The president also confirmed at the Wednesday press conference that he was authorizing intelligence activity by the CIA in Venezuela to help continue the administration’s offensive against Latin American drug traffickers. Trump told reporters there were “two reasons” why he was authorizing the CIA to conduct such work. “Number one, they have emptied their prisons into the United States of America. They came in through the border. They came in because we had an open border policy. And as soon as I heard that, ‘I said a lot of these countries’ – they’re not the only country, but they’re the worst abuser, and they’ve allowed thousands and thousands of prisoners, people from mental institutions, insane asylums – emptied out into the United States,” Trump told reporters Wednesday after they asked why he took the move to authorize CIA activity in Venezuela. “We’re bringing them back… they did it at a level that probably –—many, many countries have done it also, but not like Venezuela — they were down and dirty,” Trump continued. “And the other thing is drugs. We have a lot of drugs coming in from Venezuela.” Following Trump’s comments about why he was authorizing CIA activity in Venezuela, the president was pressed by a reporter on whether the intelligence agency would have the authority to take out Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who Trump and his administration have accused of leading a “narco-dictatorship.” However, the president didn’t bite on that question, telling reporters he thought it was a “ridiculous question” for him to answer during the press conference. “I don’t want to answer a question like that,” Trump shot back. Trump’s comments about authorizing unspecified actions by the CIA in Venezuela came after the New York Times reported earlier in the day that the president had authorized the spy agency to carry out lethal, covert actions in Venezuela. Pero ahora vamos a enfocarnos… pic.twitter.com/djGk7FajP6 — Orlando Avendaño (@OrlvndoA) October 15, 2025 BBC reported more on the latest tension between the United States and Venezuela: In the most recent US strike on Tuesday, six people were killed when a boat was targeted near Venezuela’s coast. On Truth Social, Trump said that “intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known” drug-trafficking corridor. As has been the case in previous strikes, US officials have not specified what drug-trafficking organisation was allegedly operating the vessel, or the identities of those aboard. Maduro responded by ordering military exercises in the Caracas suburb of Petare and in neighbouring Miranda state on Wednesday. In a message on Telegram, he said that he was mobilising the military, police and civilian militia to defend Venezuela and “win at peace”. The Socialist leader has accused the US of plotting regime change following accusations that he rigged the South American nation’s presidential election last year. Venezuela’s Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez also struck a defiant tone on television on Wednesday.

Republican Lawmaker Gets Hit With A Restraining Order From Ex-Girlfriend

This is just one of the many scandals that surrounds Rep. Cory Mills. A Florida judge has issued a restraining order against rep Cory Mills of Florida. The restraining order was made against Mills to prevent him to have any contact with his former girlfriend Lindsay Langston. Rep. Cory Mills slapped with restraining order after judge sides with Miss United States Lindsey Langston in sextortion case https://t.co/bsbyWrYmWS pic.twitter.com/WlDX9vzoKn — New York Post (@nypost) October 15, 2025 Politico reported more on the restraining order made against Rep. Mills: A north Florida judge has issued a restraining order against Rep. Cory Mills after the central Florida Republican was accused by a former girlfriend of threatening to circulate sexually explicit videos of her. Circuit Judge Fred Koberlein ordered Mills to refrain from trying to contact Lindsay Langston, Miss United States 2024 and a Republican state committee woman from Columbia County. In his Tuesday order, the judge said the evidence supported Langston’s assertion that Mills had caused her “substantial emotional distress” and that Mills offered “no credible rebuttal” to her testimony. He found that Langston has a “reasonable cause to believe she is in imminent danger of becoming the victim of another act of dating violence” without the restraining order being put in place. Koberlein said Mills was not allowed to go to Langston’ home or place of employment and that he was not allowed to directly refer to Langston on social media. The injunction is in place for the state of Florida. Mills did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In his order, which is to remain in place until January 2026, Koberlein also refuted Mills’ attempts to explain away his actions. “The court, considering the totality of the testimony and the circumstances, does not find [Mills’] testimony concerning the intimate videos to be truthful,” Koberlein wrote. “Even had the respondent’s testimony been truthful, his response is irrelevant because there was no evidence presented suggesting [Langston] knew the respondent no longer had possession of their intimate videos.” The restraining order follows two lengthy court hearings held in Lake City, where both Mills and Langston testified and answered questions about their relationship — and the meaning of a flurry of text messages, phone calls and direct messages between them. The restraining order against Mills comes amid a swirl of controversies this year for the second-term Republican, including a since-withdrawn allegation of assault and an ethics investigation into whether he’s benefited from contracts from the federal government while serving as a member of Congress. Mills has denied any wrongdoing in both matters. Mills previously sided with Democrats to not censure Rep. Ilhan Omar: BREAKING RHINOS: Feckless coward @CoryMillsFL has turned off his comments on all social media after his QUID PRO QUO agreement with Democrats to vote no on Ilhan Omar Censure to withdraw his censure for stolen valor and beating women! Birds of a feather!!https://t.co/B4KlYNSmq4 pic.twitter.com/coPA3HivEZ — tnblueeyes25 (@KimKim5092) September 17, 2025 NBC News reported Mills previously was being evicted by his landlord for not paying his rent: Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., is facing a lawsuit seeking his eviction over alleged failure to pay thousands of dollars in rent at a property in Washington, D.C., according to court papers. In a complaint filed in D.C. Superior Court last week, Bozzuto Management Company said the congressman did not pay a total of $85,009 in rent between March and July. Monthly rent for the property, according to the court filing, is $20,833. The management company is asking the court to allow it to evict Mills and for an order requiring that he submit future monthly payments with the court until the case is resolved. An initial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 8. The lawsuit was first reported by Roger Sollenberger, an independent journalist. A resident ledger accompanying the management company’s lawsuit appears to show Mills has repeatedly failed to pay his rent on time, and that he was frequently assessed fees for late payments. He moved into the property in June 2023. According to court papers, Mills was served in January with a notice to pay over $18,000 in past due rent by Feb. 26, and a notice of the company’s intent to file a lawsuit. A spokesperson for Mills did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday night, but Mills posted screenshots on X earlier in the day that he said showed him “repeatedly asking for payment links and again as I tried with management today, it failed to process.”

MONUMENTAL: President Trump Confirms Plans for a Triumphal Arch in Honor of America’s 250th Birthday

President Trump just made a huge announcement. In celebration of America’s 250th birthday next year, President Trump is planning to construct a gigantic new triumphal arch near the Arlington Memorial Bridge. Speaking at a dinner for donors of his White House ballroom, President Trump showed off plans for the new monument’s design. In true Trump fashion, he also confirmed that he selected the largest one. Go big or go home! Watch here: Incredible. President Trump announces plans for a massive new triumphal arch honoring America’s 250th, set by the Arlington Memorial Bridge. “That’s Lady Liberty. Did you ever hear of Lady Liberty? So the sizes would be very different. So this would be a little small, medium,… pic.twitter.com/6tYSbx16dL — Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) October 16, 2025 Here’s a longer clip: .@POTUS shows off plans for a triumphal arch to be constructed as a new monument in honor of America’s 250th birthday — near the Arlington Memorial Bridge that connects Virginia and D.C. pic.twitter.com/HSdQbVdTDm — Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) October 16, 2025 About a week ago, we reported that the plans for this new triumphal arch were spotted on the Oval Office desk: The arch is indeed triumphal, can confirm! pic.twitter.com/lkKoBG9hvC — The Conservative Alternative (@OldeWorldOrder) October 16, 2025 Full story here: ARC DE TRUMP? Model for New D.C. Monument Spotted on Oval Office Desk! The architect for the triumphal arch is Nicholas Leo Charbonneau, who shared a design for the new monument on X: A proposal for a triumphal arch in DC for #America250, in the traffic circle in front of Arlington National Cemetery. America needs a triumphal arch! pic.twitter.com/JjwSZsOE9z — Nicolas Leo Charbonneau (@nic_charbonneau) September 4, 2025 The New York Post has more: The sketch is by architect Nicolas Leo Charbonneau, a partner at Harrison Design whose Sacred Architecture Studio features church designs. “He’s an extremely talented classical architect,” a source familiar with the project told The Post. “His business is mainly in sacred architecture, but he’s truly a classical architect not just some guy who’s copying and pasting columns.” The first inkling of Trump’s latest building plans to transform Washington came to light with a small-scale model in the Oval Office. AFP posted images of the design model that was atop the president’s desk Thursday. Only now is the extent of the preparation for the project coming to the fore, as Trump looks to fill 2026 with celebratory events including a Mixed Martial Arts fight to be hosted at the White House. The idea for the arch marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence came in an article by Catesby Leigh published weeks before Trump took office, according to the source. The architecture critic called for a temporary arch, and pointed to the structure that marked Washington’s first inauguration, as well as the grandiose tradition dating back to the Romans. Information wasn’t available on the cost, the timeline for construction, or who would pay for it. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The arch would go on undeveloped land between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery inside a grass-covered traffic circle. On its other side would be Arlington House, the Custis family mansion built as a memorial to George Washington. Although Nicolas Leo Charbonneau is bringing the vision to life, the triumphal arch was President Trump's idea in the first place. You have to love our Developer-in-Chief! Per CNN: A senior White House official told CNN the arch was Trump’s idea. “He came up with the design and has been part of the process every step of the way,” the official said. This is shaping up to be epic. Are you looking forward to seeing this new monument go up in D.C.?

President Trump BLASTS Chuck Schumer: “An Intelligent Loser Losing IQ Points With Time”

This is just hilarious. During today’s Oval Office press conference, President Trump addressed the ‘Schumer shutdown’ and absolutely went off on Chuck. He claimed that the only reason Sen. Chuck Schumer shut down the government was to keep his relevancy. “He’s a loser,” President Trump said, though he added he was “an intelligent one” — until recently… “I think he’s losing IQ points with time!” Watch for yourself: LMFAO! President Trump on Chuck Schumer: “He’s a loser. I’ve known him all his life. Always been sort of a loser – but an intelligent one.” “But I think he’s losing IQ points with time. I think that happens. I hope it hasn’t happened with me. I know if it DID, you guys would let me know about it very quickly.” No, Mr. President. You certainly haven’t lost any IQ points with age! But, I have to agree. The evidence is there that Chuck’s probably isn’t what it used to be: Chuck Schumer doesn’t even know how to grill pic.twitter.com/1thGyCd0js — Its Probably Fine (@itsprobabiyfine) October 15, 2025

President Trump Reveals Which City is NEXT for Federal Crime Crackdown

During today’s press conference, President Trump reveals which city is his next target for a federal crime crackdown… It’s the (once-beautiful) Golden Gate City — San Francisco, CA. President Trump said he is “strongly recommending” that federal agents be deployed to San Francisco in order to make the city great again. Governor Hairgel won’t be happy. Watch here: BREAKING: President Trump just announced he will be SURGING federal agents into San Francisco to clean up crime LONG overdue! Gavin Newscum is gonna throw a FIT pic.twitter.com/JIOi2d9irI — Nick Sortor (@nicksortor) October 15, 2025   Recently, tech billionaire Marc Benioff shared his support for President Trump in an interview with The New York Times and called for him to send troops to San Francisco to fight crime in the city. Politico reported: President Donald Trump today suggested San Francisco may be his next National Guard target, an idea for which the city may have Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff to thank. “We have great support in San Francisco, so I would like to recommend that for inclusion, maybe in your next group,” Trump said during a press conference with FBI Director Kash Patel. Trump said he could send the Guard to Northern California “at the request of government officials,” Faith Wardell reports. It would be the second time the president has sent military personnel to a California city as he continues to ramp up his immigration crackdown in the Golden State. Trump in June deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles over the objections of Gov. Gavin Newsom during protests over federal immigration raids. But aside from Benioff — who recently told the New York Times he was “all for” troops coming to the city as crime-fighters — it’s unclear who may have asked for the deployment. It almost certainly wasn’t Newsom, although his office didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Hours before Trump’s comments, the governor’s office shared a news release touting “significant updates to public safety efforts in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area” — seemingly a response to Benioff’s crime concerns. In response to Benioff, the San Francisco DA fought against the idea. From the San Francisco Examiner: The blowback from Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff’s support for a hypothetical National Guard deployment to police San Francisco’s streets continued Wednesday with District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, flanked by Mayor Daniel Lurie and police figures, telling reporters that uninvited federal intervention is not welcome or needed. Speaking outside the San Francisco Police Academy, Jenkins and Lurie — who were joined by Sheriff Paul Miyamoto — said The City is already aggressively combatting crime, which is down citywide by 26% year over year. They credited collaborations with state and federal police agencies with helping to set that trend. “That partnership is fundamentally different than resources being imposed upon our communities,” said Jenkins, who highlighted recent turmoil in Chicago, which she said “continues to spiral out of control” with scenes of protesters being tear-gassed by federal agents. “We don’t want that type of civil unrest or chaos here,” Jenkins said. “Our job is to keep order in our streets — and right now, San Franciscans trust us to get that job done.” Jenkins’ comments came shortly before President Donald Trump said during a White House press conference with FBI Director Kash Patel and others that San Francisco should be a future focus of his administration. What do you think? Should President Trump deploy the National Guard to San Francisco?

UPDATE: Pentagon Confiscates Press Badges of Nearly EVERY Major News Outlet — Here’s the Full List

A couple of days ago, we brought you a story about the Pentagon’s new press rules — and, the fact that the vast majority of major news outlets were outright rejecting them. Full scoop here: JUST IN: Major News Outlets REJECT Pete Hegseth’s New Pentagon Press Policy TLDR: Reporters were given until Tuesday to either sign a pledge agreeing to Pete Hegseth's new rules for journalists at the Pentagon or turn in their press credentials. Now, the Tuesday deadline has come and gone. And, the vast majority of news outlets are out at the Pentagon! Almost every single major news organization in the United States refused to sign the pledge, and so, their press credentials were confiscated today. See here: ? BREAKING: The Pentagon has just confiscated the badges of nearly every major media organization in the United States, barring their access, after they refused to sign on to Pete Hegseth's new security rules to guard sensitive information. Reporters were seen leaving. "Today, the Defense Department confiscated the badges of the Pentagon reporters from virtually every major media organization in America. It did this because reporters would not sign onto a new media policy over its implicit threat of criminalizing national security reporting and exposing those who sign it to potential prosecution," the Pentagon Press Association said Here's a video of reporters leaving the Pentagon after handing over their badges: Journalists left earlier today from the Pentagon after almost all media outlets refused to sign Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s new press "pledge." pic.twitter.com/HrwSngnVVt — Gabriela Iglesias (@iglesias_gabby) October 16, 2025 The Pentagon Press Association, which was made up of 101 members from 56 news outlets, released a statement after walking out. Per Axios: What they're saying: "Today, the Defense Department confiscated the badges of the Pentagon reporters from virtually every major media organization in America," the Pentagon Press Association said in a statement on Thursday. "The Pentagon Press Association's members are still committed to reporting on the U.S. military," they wrote. "But make no mistake, today, Oct. 15, 2025 is a dark day for press freedom that raises concerns about a weakening U.S. commitment to transparency in governance, to public accountability at the Pentagon and to free speech for all." The Defense Department did not immediately respond to Axios' Thursday evening request for comment. Driving the news: The Pentagon announced the new restrictions last month, and gave newsrooms until Tuesday to commit to adhering to them. Media companies broadly rejected the pledge, claiming it would criminalize national security reporting and expose those who sign the contract to potential prosecution. Outlets including Axios, Fox News, NBC, ABC, CNN, NPR, AP, the Washington Post and the New York Times said they would not sign the pledge, while the conservative cable network One America News (OAN), indicated that it would sign it. Keep in mind that these rules were things like "journalists must identify themselves with badges." Hegseth made it clear: Pentagon access is a privilege, not a right. So, here is @DeptofWar press credentialing FOR DUMMIES: Press no longer roams free Press must wear visible badge Credentialed press no longer permitted to solicit criminal acts DONE. Pentagon now has same rules as every… — Pete Hegseth (@PeteHegseth) October 13, 2025 Pentagon access is a privilege, not a right. So, here is @DeptofWar press credentialing FOR DUMMIES: Press no longer roams free Press must wear visible badge Credentialed press no longer permitted to solicit criminal acts DONE. Pentagon now has same rules as every U.S military installation Yet, for some reason, reporters are claiming this is a violation of the free press. I simply don't get it. AP has more: Dozens of reporters turned in access badges and exited the Pentagon on Wednesday rather than agree to government-imposed restrictions on their work, pushing journalists who cover the American military further from the seat of its power. The nation’s leadership called the new rules “common sense” to help regulate a “very disruptive” press. News outlets were nearly unanimous in rejecting new rules imposed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that would leave journalists vulnerable to expulsion if they sought to report on information — classified or otherwise — that had not been approved by Hegseth for release. Many of the reporters waited to leave together at a 4 p.m. deadline set by the Defense Department to get out of the building. As the hour approached, boxes of documents lined a Pentagon corridor and reporters carried chairs, a copying machine, books and old photos to the parking lot from suddenly abandoned workspaces. Shortly after 4, about 40 to 50 journalists left together after handing in badges. “It’s sad, but I’m also really proud of the press corps that we stuck together,” said Nancy Youssef, a reporter for The Atlantic who has had a desk at the Pentagon since 2007. She took a map of the Middle East out to her car. For the record, the only news outlet that actually signed the pledge agreeing to the new rules was One America News Network (OANN). Matt Gaetz confirmed: Frankly I’m shocked these weren’t already the rules. It’s the PENTAGON! @oann is happy to follow these reasonable conditions, grounded in care for our national security. https://t.co/gv78Tvg8W0 — Matt Gaetz (@mattgaetz) October 13, 2025 Grok provided a full list of all the refusers: The New York Times: Called it a threat to routine news gathering. The Washington Post: Deemed it unconstitutional. Associated Press: Refused to limit protected reporting. Reuters: Cited commitment to impartial news. CNN: Joined broadcast networks' joint refusal. Fox News: Hegseth's former employer; rejected as unprecedented. ABC News: Part of joint statement against restrictions. CBS News: Part of joint statement against restrictions. NBC News: Part of joint statement against restrictions. NPR: Warned it would turn journalists into "stenographers." The Atlantic: Opposed limits on taxpayer-funded info access. Politico: Viewed as intimidation of sources. The Guardian: Declined due to First Amendment concerns. Newsmax: Called rules "unnecessary and onerous." The Wall Street Journal: Refused to agree to the pledge. Bloomberg News: Rejected as eroding press freedoms. The Hill: Part of widespread media pushback. Axios: Highlighted threats to public interest journalism. Breaking Defense: Specialized outlet; declined signing. Task & Purpose: Defense-focused; refused policy. HuffPost: Called it aimed at "snuffing out" news-gathering. Financial Times: Joined international refusals. BBC: Will not sign, citing press freedom risks. NewsNation: Refused amid broader media consensus. Washington Examiner: Conservative outlet; declined despite alignment. Daily Caller: Gained workspace but refused rules. Breitbart News: Gained workspace but no signing confirmation.
