It Didn’t Start With Trump

“What do you expect when you sue the president?” Hearing that comment, some people may guess the comment was made by someone addressing one of President Trump’s political opponents who has been targeted for federal prosecution. That quote, though, is much older. It is from an IRS agent addressing officials of a conservative organization that …

Has The Feminization Of Our Major Institutions Been Good For Our Society?

For hundreds of years, men dominated the major institutions in western society, but over the past several decades there has been an unprecedented shift. Today, leftist women either dominate or are on their way to dominating most of our major institutions. As a result, the way that things get done has been totally turned upside …

Limo Driver Sues Post Malone For Millions, Claims He Was Never Compensated For Cameo In 2020 Music Video

Uh oh. Post Malone is potentially on the line for a large sum of moeny after allegedly not paying a limo driver who appeared in a 2020 music video. According to TMZ, Post Malone and Tyla Yaweh are being sued by Larry Deuel, a teacher and limousine driver, who claims that he was never paid for his services after appearing in the “Tommy Lee” music video. View this post on Instagram A post shared by TMZ (@tmz_tv) The incident occurred years before Malone made his crossover in the country music world and the lawsuit was filed in Utah‘s Fourth District Court on Friday, October 17, noting that Deuel was a high school teacher who also worked as a limousine driver at the time he was approached to assist in the video shoot. Deuel claims that he was approached by Malone and Yaweh’s team, hiring him to drive the artists to Malone’s ranch for the video shoot. Deuel says that when he arrived on the property after transporting the two men, they begged him to be in the music video and assured him that he would be “taken care of.” The Daily Mail reports that per court documents, Deuel’s role was “crucial” in conveying the themes of wealth and privilege. Without his supporting role in the music video, that imagery would not have been conveyed. “Absent Mr. Deuel’s presence in ‘Tommy Lee,’ the theme of wealth, power, fame, privilege, and success would have been visually underwhelming, supported only by two unkempt musicians smoking blunts riding ATVs in a dirt field.” Seems like a highly subjective argument, but fair enough… Deuel thought that the two men saying that they would “take care of him” meant that he would be compensated for his time and participation in the music video, but alleges that the two men or their management never paid him for this. Deuel is very clearly seen in the “Tommy Lee” music video unrolling a carpet in the clip, opening doors and standing next to his limo in many parts of the video. Post Malone and Tyla Yaweh are being sued for for fraudulent inducement, misappropriation of name and likeness, breach of contract and more, as Deuel claims he never signed away his name, image and likeness rights. According to TMZ’s report, Larry Deuel is suing Malone and Yaweh for $2.5 million in principal damages and at least $7.5 million in punitive damages… that’s a lot of dough for a cameo in a music video. I mean, what are the real damages here? It sounds like he got paid for taking them to the video, but wants to be paid more for appearing in it. Should they have given him a little extra? Yeah probably. Did he consent to being in the video when the cameras were rolling? Yeah. Does this also sound like a money grab? Absolutely. Deuel also shares in court documents that he approached the musicians many time to find a solution and hoped to not go into litigation, but after numerous failed attempts, he was led to take legal action. The document also point out how many views that the video has gained since it’s release, further backing that Deuel was not fairly compensated for his time. “‘The official music video of Tommy Lee, including remixes, featuring Mr. Deuel’s artistic performance and his name, image, and likeness has contributed to the overwhelming commercial success of the song Tommy Lee, resulting in hundreds of millions of streams and downloads. Mr. Deuel’s commercial rights contributed to Tommy Lee was not authorized, and was not transferred to any of the Defendants, and thus he retains full legal rights to his name, image, and likeness, and artistic and commercial presence in Tommy Lee, which Defendants have misappropriated and exploited in the hundreds of millions of times.” I imagine we’ll see it settle for an undisclosed amount… If you’re curious to see the music video Larry Deuel was featured in, you can check that out while you’re here: The post Limo Driver Sues Post Malone For Millions, Claims He Was Never Compensated For Cameo In 2020 Music Video first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

“I Was Speaking The Truth” – Luke Combs Says He Had An Awkward Moment With Carolina Panthers Owner, David Tepper, After He Publicly Blasted Him

Well, Luke was right, but I can see how it might’ve been a bit uncomfortable… Last year, country superstar Luke Combs appeared on The Pat McAfee Show to give his thoughts on the dumpster fire that was the Carolina Panthers organization, and let’s just say, he didn’t hold back. We were really going through it at the time, and everybody was OVER it, and especially over Panthers owner, David Tepper. He’s universally despised among locals, even though the Panthers are playing much better over the last several games. But at the time, Luke Combs let him have it, and as a Panthers fan and North Carolina native, I was living for every second of this: “David Tepper is obviously a shrewd businessman.. I’m a great musician and I’m not a football coach” ~ @lukecombs #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/dXbvKDbitS — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) March 13, 2024 This weekend, Luke was back with Pat McAfee ahead of his performance on College Game Day, where Pat brought up just how critical Luke was, because of course, the team was down really, really bad. Luke actually told the story of how he met Panthers owner David Tepper in Charlotte during his massively successful Concert For Carolina benefit show in the wake of Hurricane Helene, which was held at Bank of America stadium. They raised over $24 MILLION, and Luke says he talked to Tepper for over an hour that night, and at the end of the conversation, Tepper let him know that he had seen the aforementioned clip… “Dude, so full circle. The last time I was on, I was pretty critical of the team, as a fan would be. I’m no different than anyone else. So as you know, the devastation that Hurricane Helene brought to the area of the country where I’m from, me and Eric Church put together a charity show, which Bailey actually came and performed at. We did it at Bank of America stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, so who do I run into? David Tepper. Yes. We had a great conversation, we talked for an hour, chummed it up. We got along great. and at the end, he was like… ‘Just don’t go… you know, I saw it.’ I was just like, ‘God, I hope he didn’t see it.’ He saw it. But you know what, we had a great conversation about it. We’re in good graces, man.” Pat pointed out that Luke was simply “speaking truth,” and there was nothing wrong with his remarks, and I completely agree. Someone had to say all of that publicly, and Luke was the perfect man for the job. He should absolutely not give a flying crap what David Tepper thinks about him… though in that setting, it’s good to be cordial and obviously I have to give Tepper some credit (as much as it pains me) for letting them use the stadium for such a noble cause. Luke also said he had attended a Panthers practice on Friday, where some of the team staff told him there was a number he could call to air out any frustrations, like many other fans apparently do and have been doing as the team has been struggling: “I was speaking the truth. Again, dude, I’m no different than anyone else. I’m a fan. Okay, I was literally in Charlotte yesterday. I got inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. So I’m at the hotel, the kids are at the science center playing around, everybody’s getting ready. So I call up Dave Nelson at the team I’m like, ‘Hey, I’m at the hotel, I’m bored. Can I pop over to practice, what’s going down?’ He’s like, ‘Pop over to practice.’ So they’re telling me in the couple years previous when things were not looking up at all in any direction, he’s like, we have a phone line that fans will just call and be like, ‘You guys stink. I hate…’ He’s like, ‘But those are the best fans, because they’re the people that actually care.’ I’m one of those fans. I just didn’t know there was a phone number, now I do.” They joked that he didn’t need to do that because he can just blast them on Pat’s show, though Luke pointed out that (hopefully) won’t be as much of an issue going forward since the Panthers are seemingly picking up some momentum and have a winning record of 4-3 for the first time since 2017: “But I don’t have to now, because we’re up big time.” Let’s hope that doesn’t change anytime soon, but with this team, I never hold my breath… “The last time I was on I was pretty critical of the Panthers as any fan would be.. I had a great conversation with David Tepper and he told me that he saw it.. Things are looking up for the Panthers right now”@lukecombs #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/Ps4knhQLzI — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) October 17, 2025 The post “I Was Speaking The Truth” – Luke Combs Says He Had An Awkward Moment With Carolina Panthers Owner, David Tepper, After He Publicly Blasted Him first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Tyler Childers To Headline 2026 Railbird Music Festival, Along With Performances By Zach Top, Ella Langley & More

Another stacked lineup for Railbird Music Festival. This morning, they announced their 2026 lineup, which features headliners in Tyler Childers and indie/folk band The Lumineers. Tyler is of course a Kentucky native, making him the perfect fit for Railbird which is always a highly-anticipated lineup for country music fans. Already a great bill having Tyler headline alone, honestly… But in addition to those artists, the rest of the lineup features some of country music, folk and rock’s best acts in Zach Top, Ella Langley, Caamp, Mt. Joy, Sam Barber, Muscadine Bloodline, Stephen Wilson Jr., Houndmouth, Robert Earl Keen, Shane Smith & The Saints, The Wallflowers, Margo Price, Watchhouse, Shakey Graves, Waylon Wyatt, Evan Honer and more. Taking place on June 6th and 7th at The Infield at Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky, Railbird is unique in that they also focus in curating bourbon experiences for attendees that celebrate the spirit of Kentucky throughout the weekend as well. There are many different package options for tickets, and they go on sale this Wednesday, October 22nd: “Hold on to your hats because your 2026 lineup is here. Tickets are on sale THIS Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 12pm ET. Get access to guaranteed lowest price 2-Day GA Tickets starting at 12pm ET. Prices increase at 1pm ET if tickets remain! Sign up for SMS messages now at the link in our bio for a reminder and to be the first to receive the link.” In terms of festivals that have already been announced for next year, this is easily one of the best, and features a lineup that is truly impressive from top to bottom: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Railbird Festival (@railbirdfestival) Speaking of Tyler, he’s been out on the road much of this half of the year promoting his recent album Snipe Hunter, and the tour dates wrap up mid-November until he likely hits the road again next year. The album is one of the best country albums released this year, and I’m sure he’ll be playing all of the new stuff for fans in his home state of Kentucky next year, as he has been at all of his concerts since it was released. The post Tyler Childers To Headline 2026 Railbird Music Festival, Along With Performances By Zach Top, Ella Langley & More first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Country Fans Accuse Chris Young Of Being Drunk On Stage At Boots In The Park As Rough Performance Of “I’m Comin’ Over” Goes Viral

Pretty rough. Fresh off the release of his tenth studio album, I Didn’t Come Here To Leave, this past Friday, Chris Young took the stage at Boots In The Park this Saturday in Tucson, Arizona. After the likes of Dustin Lynch, Tucker Wetmore, Avery Anna and more warmed up the crowd, Young took the stage as the headliner. And fans were less than impressed. As we know, the Tennessee native was once a staple of the genre in the 2000s, capturing massive, traditional hits with the likes of “Tomorrow,” “Voices,” “Gettin’ You Home” and “The Man I Want to Be.” Once the mid 2010s came along, Young found himself leaning more towards the pop-influenced sound that was taking over the genre with tracks such as “I’m Comin’ Over,” “Lonely Eyes” and the Cassadee Pope duet, “Think of You.” If there’s one thing that’s been apparent throughout his career, it’s the simple fact that Young possesses one of the best pure voices in the entire genre, highlighted most prominently by his iconic cover of Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes” at the Opry back in 2011 as well as the aforementioned “Tomorrow.” At Boots In The Park this weekend, however, Young’s voice was a bit off, leading fans to believe that he was drunk during his performance. A video of Young performing his 2015 #1 hit, “I’m Comin’ Over” was uploaded by TikTok user, @SCDOWDY, with the caption: “When you pay over a hundred dollars to see Chris Young and he’s drunkedy drunk drunk. WOW.” The performance itself is pretty rough overall, with the “You” singer not only sounding pretty pitchy throughout but also rushing and dragging the track’s melody at times. Of course, due to the TikTok user’s caption alleging that he was drunk during the performance, many in the comments were quick to jump to the conclusion that he was under the influence, with others saying he’s sounded similarly at past concerts. “Well this is very disappointing. I love him. He’s my favorite country singer. What a bummer.” “His concert that I went to was one of my favorites. This is sad.” “Unacceptable” “Disappointed.” “Omg he sounds horrible” “It’s like watching someone drunk singing karaoke” “Unacceptable” “Saw him a couple years ago, he was drunk there too… Will not pay to see him again.” “He must have a drinking problem, he’s going fast, them slow, up and down in volume. He’s definitely drunk.” Others, on the other hand, were defending Young in the comments, with many noting the fact that Young could have been experiencing issues with the sound system, a real possibility given the fact that it’s clear that he was having trouble staying in time with the song. “It seems like audio issues maybe?? I’ve seen him and he’s great.” “It kinda sounds like he can’t hear himself maybe?” “I think it’s his ears that he hears himself back on. His PA man probably stinks.” “I’ve seen him in concert and never had this problem. It may be the sound system.” So was Chris Young drunk on stage at Boots In The Park? I’d have to say no. Besides the fact that he showed no visible signs of being drunk on stage, I think it’s safe to chalk this up as an unfortunate bad performance that happened to go viral. Even ignoring the fact that Young is coming off a week filled with promotion for his new album, complete with an album release show, all signs to the 40-year-old singer/songwriter either having issues with his in-ear monitors giving him issues — or the even more reasonable possibility that he was simply tired from an incredibly busy week. Bu you can come to your own conclusion and watch the performance here: @scdowdy87 When you pay over a hundred dollars to see @Chris Young and he’s drunkedy drunk drunk. WOW #bootsinthepark #tornupcountry #ChrisYoungRuinedMyBirthday@Boots In The Park ♬ original sound – SCDOWDY Here’s another song from the night, “Gettin’ You Home” @phebeflagstaffrealtor #bootsinthepark #chrisyoung ♬ original sound – Phebe A number of comments on the Boots In The Park official Instagram post also voiced some displeasure, most accusing him of being drunk as well. Other claimed that a number of people left early. As of right now, Chris has yet to address the performance, but if it really was a sound issue, you’d probably want to get out ahead of that and control the narrative… set the story straight.
