Jessie Murph Surprises Coachella Crowd With Koe Wetzel For “High Road” Duet
Taking their number one hit to the Coachella stage.
Koe Wetzel had a busy weekend. He kicked things off by attending The Masters before he made a surprise stop in Indio, California, for Coachella. The only thing that would have made this weekend even better was if Koe appeared at the Boys from Oklahoma event to sing “Ragweed” with Cross Canadian Ragweed, but you can only be so many places at once.
But before Coachella goers get their panties in a wad that they missed a Koe Wetzel set, don’t worry, he did not have a set dedicated to himself over the weekend. But he did make a surprise appearance with Jessie Murph during hers.
Last year, Koe Wetzel scored his first number one single at country radio with Jessie Murph for their “High Road” duet. While the duet initially got some mixed reactions with the female feature being added to it, after Koe teased it as a solo single, the proof is in the pudding that fans didn’t hate it as much as they led on, given it spent a few weeks at number one. Koe even admitted that he didn’t understand the fuss, noting that he felt like Jessie made the song.
“Yeah, the first time I saw that there was anything being brought up about it, I didn’t really understand it at all. Jessie’s just such a bad**s. And so I think we had a plan… the ‘High Road’ version, the single version, will eventually come out.
But I was asked if we wanted to put it out sooner rather than later, and I was like, screw that. I believed in this version since Jessie cut her part on it.
I think she kind of made the song what it is, and so yeah, that song, it fit with both of us. It fit with us both very well.”
The number one single was the first for Koe and Jessie, and they capitalized on the moment, taking “High Road” to the Coachella stage.
“Um, I got some friends here today. Last year, a friend of mine hit me up and he was like, ‘You wanna get on this song?’ And I was like f**k yeah I wanna get on this song!’ We posted it and everybody was like ‘F**k this b**ch.’ I got dogged.
Then I was like ‘F**k you b*tch,’ and now it’s our biggest song, so f**k you again b*tch.”
I love Jessie Murph’s energy here. After that, she introduced Koe Wetzel to the crowd, who went crazy as he walked out on the stage.

The two crushed their performance on the stage, bringing a little Texas country music to the California Coachella goers. The crowd seemed to love every second of this performance.
While I am sure fans would have loved to see Koe in Stillwater, this is another opportunity that is hard to pass up. Koe’s making big moves these days.
Check it out.
