DIY Peppermint Bug Repellent Spray - Homemade Essential Oil Insect Control
I like using peppermint bug spray to keep bees, ants, and spiders away from my outdoor cooking area. But at $20 per bottle from the store, I decided to start making my own. In this video I'll show exactly how I make practically the same stuff you can buy pre-made, for about 1/12th of the price! Recipe: -12.5 cups distilled water -4fl oz pure peppermint oil (8 Tablespoons, or 1/2 cup) -4fl oz Polysorbate 80 (8 Tablespoons, or 1/2 cup) Heat distilled water to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix with peppermint oil and Polysorbate 80 in a jug. Transfer to spray bottles as needed. *Support us on Patreon!* https://www.patreon.com/greatlakescountry ------------------------------ These are the ingredients I used in this video: Pure Peppermint Oil https://amzn.to/4jTGq4t Polysorbate 80 https://amzn.to/45Vb2Pz Empty Spray Bottles https://amzn.to/4mZQ9J7 ------------------------------ 00:00 - Explanation 01:10 - Ingredients 03:48 - Mixing 06:01 - Final Product 07:45 - Conclusion ------------------------------ Great Lakes Country (formerly known as Great Lakes Prepping) is a Michigan-based YouTube channel that focuses on all things DIY, such as cooking, hunting, gardening, outdoor projects, prepping, and lots of other stuff.
