Prince Andrew being investigated for allegedly asking bodyguard to get accuser’s personal information: report

Prince Andrew is reportedly being investigated by the Metropolitan Police for allegedly asking one of his taxpayer-funded personal protection officers to obtain personal information about Virginia Giuffre, who previously accused the royal of sexually abusing her when she was a teenager. On Oct. 19, The Mail on Sunday published leaked emails suggesting Andrew, 65, passed Giuffre’s date of birth and her Social Security number to his bodyguard and suggested she might have a criminal record in the U.S.

Chances dwindle of quick Trump-Putin meeting in Budapest

Prospects for an imminent meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Budapest appear to be fading, judging by new signals from Moscow. Trump said last week he and Putin had held a lengthy phone call in which “great progress was made” and announced the two leaders had agreed to meet in the Hungarian capital, with a first round of talks to involve U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Without data centers, GDP growth was 0.1% in the first half of 2025

U.S. GDP growth in the first half of 2025 was largely driven by investment in data centers and information processing technology, according to Harvard economist Jason Furman. Excluding those technology-related categories, Furman estimated that GDP growth would have been just 0.1% on an annualized basis — a near standstill that underscores how critical high-tech infrastructure has become to the overall economy.

EU Energy Ministers Want To Finish Ditching Russian Gas In Two Years

European Union energy ministers think they'll be able to phase out the import of Russian gas by 2028, and have backed a proposal that would begin the process by phasing out the contracts themselves for both pipeline gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) by Jan. 1, 2026. Current agreements may continue until June 17, 2026, while long-term contracts may would be cut off on Jan. 1, 2028. That said, landlocked members states (Hungary, Slovakia) which have limited alternatives to Russia would be afforded some flexibility.

ROOKE: Biden Deep Stater Sings Trump’s Praises On Foreign Policy Wins

A former CIA analyst and Biden administration official makes a notable shift in tone from sharply criticizing to outright praising President Donald Trump. Ned Price served in several roles within the Biden administration. He was deputy to the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and a senior adviser and spokesperson in the State Department. He famously wrote an oped for The Washington Post publicly announcing that he had quit the CIA after ten years just one month into Trump’s first term. He claimed that he could not “in good faith serve this administration as an intelligence professional,” expressing concerns over Trump’s “disregard” for intelligence and politicization of national security.
