The president was not happy this morning at all! Just a few hours after President Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, both countries violated the terms of the ceasefire. This morning, while taking questions, President Trump was asked what he thinks of Israel and Iran breaking the ceasefire. Trump, in comments to reporters at the White House before departing for the NATO summit at The Hague, expressed disappointment over the continued attacks. “They violated it, but Israel violated it, too,” Trump said. He added, “I’m not happy with Israel.” “I didn’t like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal,” Trump said. “And now I hear Israel just went out because they felt violated by one rocket that didn’t land anywhere.” The Republican president expressed deep disappointment with both sides after holding out the agreement he helped broker as validation for his strategic gamble of ordering U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that Iran would stop its attacks if Israel would. And Israel also confirmed that it had reached its aims of its operations and would cease hostilities. But the tentative truce faltered Tuesday when Israel accused Iran of launching missiles into its airspace after the ceasefire was supposed to take effect and vowed to retaliate. Iran’s military denied firing on Israel, state media reported, but explosions boomed and sirens sounded across northern Israel midmorning, and an Israeli military official said two Iranian missiles were intercepted. Trump’s frustration was palpable as he spoke to reporters, using an expletive to hammer home his point. “I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran, either, but I’m really unhappy with Israel going out this morning,” Trump said. “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f– they’re doing.” We haven’t seen Trump this upset in a while. Per The Hill: In a Truth Social post around the same time, Trump singled out Israel, in a remarkable move for the U.S. president, telling the longtime American ally: “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!” Trump told reporters at the White House he was going to see if he could “stop it” when asked about the continued attacks lobbed by both sides overnight after parts of the ceasefire were to be put in place. “They [Iran] violated it but Israel violated it too,” Trump said. “Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a load of bombs the likes of which I’ve never seen before. The biggest load that we’ve seen. I’m not happy with Israel. When I say okay, now you have 12 hours, you don’t go out in the first hour and just drop everything you have on them. So, I’m not happy with them, I’m not happy with Iran either.” He continued, “But I’m really unhappy if Israel’s going out this morning.” Trump’s public criticism of Israel marked a significant departure from the policy of former U.S. presidents, including Trump previously, who have steadfastly stood by its longtime ally.

This is a sad story, brace yourself. And the legacy media is also framing this story as sad, but for a different reason. The real reason it’s a sad story is that now restaurants and fast food joints like In-N-Out will get more customers and might get overwhelmed. (Be sure to grab a tissue) On a normal day, the lines at Angel’s Tijuana Tacos’ many locations can easily stretch down a long block, as a team of workers make tortillas by hand, shave fresh meat in front of a roaring fire, and turn out some of the city’s best food at lightning speed. For several days this month, though, the local Los Angeles-area chain’s taco stands and trucks were abruptly closed, with only one brick-and-mortar location in neighboring Orange County remaining open. Amid ongoing ICE raids in LA, Angel’s has been one of the many businesses who have closed, adjusted their hours, or otherwise tried to defend their staff and clientele from being taken by federal immigration authorities. Los Angeles, a city full of immigrants, has gone into a defensive crouch. Many elementary schools appear to be bringing students inside earlier; school playgrounds that are usually full of kids getting their early morning energy out have been empty. The streets, too, are far emptier—and noticeably whiter—than they would ever usually be.  This reporter doesn’t like that it’s “noticeably whiter” eh? The story is the same across Los Angeles county, home to countless communities that are heavily Latino and full of immigrant families or families with mixed status. Local news site L.A. Taco reports that many taco stands are temporarily closing, a staple food for workers across the city.(Their concerns are entirely reasonable: as L.A. Taco reported, an ICE raid on Jason’s Tacos in East Los Angeles last week targeted both the taqueros, all of whom were abducted, and their customers.) MacArthur Park, an area known for a huge number of vendors selling clothes, food and household wares to immigrant families, is also much quieter than usual. The enormous produce market in downtown Los Angeles—which supplies individuals as well as restaurants‚—is empty and full of rotting food, ABC 7 reported this week, with immigrant customers too afraid to show up to shop. Jewish reporter Anna Merlan is sad that diversity isn’t flooding the city anymore and there’s too many White people. Washington Post got a hold of an audio recording of a phone call to Iranian general. Some are supposing it was from Mossad. In the recording, an unknown person is warning the general that they’ve 12 hours before they are attacked. Was this an intimidation tactic, as some suppose, or simply a warning? Whatever the case, the hit came and went. One can only wonder if the general took the warning and fled. Otherwise, you’re on our list right now,” an Israeli intelligence agent can be heard telling a senior Iranian general in an audio recording obtained by the Washington Post on Monday. “We will hit you, your family, your children, everyone, with the dirt,” the agent continued, reiterating that he’s willing to offer the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) general a 12-hour “reprieve.” The call – one of at least 20 made to top regime officials – was placed hours after Israel commenced strikes on Iran as part of Operation Rising Lion on June 13, multiple sources familiar with the operation told the Washington Post. Israeli intelligence agents, likely working for Mossad, the Jewish state’s top spy agency, phoned the high-ranking Iranian officials as part of a covert effort to destabilize and divide the regime through intimidation. “Like I said, 12 hours from this very minute that I spoke to you, you have time to escape,” the Mossad agent warns the befuddled IRGC official. “If not, you have no one to blame but yourself.” Here’s the recording.
