8 Best Tactical JRPGs On PS2

Some folks say that back in the day, we had more turn-based JRPGs than action ones due to hardware limitations. That's pure buffoonery, but not today's discussion.

Saddest Deaths in Demon Slayer That Still Hurt

Demon Slayer doesn’t pull its punches when it comes to death. Every loss feels personal. This series doesn’t just use death as a plot device. It sits in it. It lets the grief settle in your chest. And when a character dies, even if you saw it coming, it still manages to hit harder than you expected.

iOS 26 beta 2 changes: Here’s everything new on your iPhone

After a couple of weeks, Apple finally released iOS 26 beta 2 to developers. While users shouldn't expect too much from this build, since Apple typically starts making big changes with beta 3, this update still brings several improvements. With that in mind, BGR has gathered all the changes included in iOS 26 beta 2, along with what Apple is preparing for later this fall. General stability and battery draining: The most noticeable change in iOS 26 beta 2 is that it's much more stable. While a few bugs remain, overall usability has significantly improved. The iPhone also no longer overheats during simple tasks. Recovery Assistant: Apple is introducing a new way to recover your iPhone from software issues. Instead of needing a Mac to factory reset after a faulty update, the Recovery Assistant might fix the problem before you even need to plug your iPhone into a Mac. Image source: José Adorno for BGR New ringtone: Apple has added a new ringtone for iOS 26. It's now available in beta 2, so developers can check out the new option when receiving calls. Visual changes: The wallpaper blur in Control Center is more noticeable, unknown messages now appear with a blue badge, and Safari has tweaked its UI with an improved "More" button in the bottom right corner. Wallet improvements: iOS 26's order tracking feature is now live in beta 2. A new option lets Siri scan your Mail app to find all your orders. New Apple Music widget: iOS 26 beta 2 adds a new Live Radio widget. iOS 26 beta 2 brings another secret to life Image source: AppleTrack/YouTube Finally, MacWorld's Filipe Espósito discovered in iOS 26 beta 2 code that Apple is using a new resolution for its wallpapers. This unknown display size aligns with other rumors about the iPhone 17 Air. With that, this beta confirms the existence of a new iPhone coming later this fall. Unfortunately, it also suggests the iPhone 17 Plus won't be released. Below, you can learn more about iOS 26. Powell: Fed Can Wait to Reduce Interest Rates as Trump Demands Cuts

The Federal Reserve will continue to wait and see how the economy evolves before deciding whether to reduce its key interest rate, Chair Jerome Powell said Tuesday, a stance directly at odds with President Donald Trump's calls for immediate cuts. "For the time being, we are...

BLT Pasta Salad

Corkscrew pasta with a creamy dressing and full of crunchy bacon, lettuce and tomato. The perfect BLT Pasta Salad recipe! A SANDWICH INSPIRED PASTA SALAD When I saw this recipe for BLT Macaroni Salad, I knew that I had to make it! This is such a fun take on pasta salad. It’s a pasta salad that combines the flavors of a classic BLT with creamy macaroni salad. It’s chock-full of crispy bacon, tomatoes, and crunchy green leaf lettuce, plus a tangy dressing. It’s a fusion macaroni salad that takes BLT’s to a whole new level. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: What other pasta would work in this pasta salad? You can use any shaped pasta you enjoy: macaroni, cavatappi, radiatore, rotini, penne and more! Why is the lettuce losing it’s crispness and the bacon losing it’s cruch? Don’t add the lettuce and bacon to the pasta salad until just before serving or you’ll lose the crunchiness. How long do leftovers last? Leftovers can be stored (covered) in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Keep in mind, the lettuce and bacon will turn soft. Can I freeze BLT Pasta Salad? This pasta cannot be frozen. INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE) cavatappi noodles– I shared other types of pasta that you can use in this recipe above in the FAQ section. You want a pasta with some grooves or twists to help hold some of the mayo based dressing. mayonnaise sour cream – don’t like sour cream? Try using plain Greek yogurt or just use all mayonnaise instead of adding the sour cream. sugar – this is optional. It doesn’t add sweetness, it just offsets the vinegar flavor a bit. apple cider vinegar – you can use regular vinegar, white wine or red wine vinegar. celery salt – I suppose you could use celery seed instead of celery salt, I just haven’t tried it. I’d probably start with less and add more to taste. garlic powder smoked paprika – regular paprika can be used instead of smoked if you don’t like that additional smoky taste. dried dill – you can use fresh dill. green onions Roma tomatoes– I like to use cherry or grape tomatoes for this recipe but feel free to chop up whatever type of tomato you enjoy or have on hand. Romaine lettuce – any kind of lettuce can be used. If all you have is iceberg, then use that. bacon – this recipe tastes best with fresh cooked bacon, not the microwave stuff. HOW TO MAKE BLT PASTA SALAD: Cook the elbow macaroni in salted water per the package instructions. Drain well. While pasta is cooking, prepare the dressing. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, vinegar, celery salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dill and pepper, to taste. Chop up the tomatoes, green onions, lettuce and bacon. Add the cooked and drained pasta to the bowl. Stir in green onions and tomatoes. Mix until evenly distributed. Cover with plastic wrap and pop it into the fridge to chill. Just before serving, add the lettuce and bacon. Mix well and serve. Store chilled. CRAVING MORE RECIPES? Federal Judge orders Trump to put $100 million in swear jar after he drops the f-bomb on reporter

WASHINGTON, DC—In a courtroom spectacle that could double as a stand-up comedy special, Federal Judge Hugh Jassole has ordered President Donald J. Trump to cough up $1 million for the national swear jar after dropping an f-bomb while basking in the glory of his brokered Israel-Iran ceasefire. The incident occurred outside a Mar-a-Lago press scrum, where Trump, never one to shy away from colorful language, was asked about the delicate Middle East peace talks. “You have two countries who have been fighting for so long they don’t know what the [expletive] they’re doing. Do you understand that?” Trump reportedly bellowed, before pivoting to praise his own negotiation skills. The outburst, caught on every major network and at least three TikTok livestreams, prompted immediate outrage from the National Association of Polite Discourse (NAPD), which filed an emergency motion citing “egregious verbal misconduct.” When used correctly the F-bomb can me more effective than a bunker buster— Caballero (@HughAkston0) June 24, 2025 Enter Judge Hugh Jassole, a jurist known for his no-nonsense rulings and an unfortunate name that has haunted him since law school. Presiding over the case in D.C.’s federal courthouse, Jassole declared that Trump’s potty mouth had crossed a line. “This court will not tolerate such flagrant disregard for linguistic decorum,” Jassole intoned, adjusting his robes. “The defendant’s choice of vocabulary undermines the sanctity of public discourse and sets a poor example for America’s youth, who are already confused enough by TikTok dances.” The $1 million fine, to be deposited into a federally mandated swear jar, is reportedly the largest of its kind in U.S. history. The funds will go toward the “Words Matter Initiative,” a program aimed at teaching politicians to express themselves without resorting to four-letter words. “We’re hoping to raise enough to buy every elected official a thesaurus,” said NAPD spokesperson Karen Goodytwoshoes. Trump, for his part, was unrepentant. “This is a witch hunt, folks, a total scam by the radical left and their fake news buddies,” he posted on Truth Social, racking up 47 emojis and 12 misspellings in a single sentence. “Jassole? More like Jass-HOLE, am I right? Sad!” The post was later cited by prosecutors as evidence of “contemptuous recidivism,” prompting Jassole to warn that further outbursts could result in Trump being sentenced to a week of mandatory poetry readings at a community college. Legal experts are divided on the ruling. “This is a bold precedent,” said constitutional scholar Dr. Ima Stickler. “If we start fining people for swearing, half of Congress will be bankrupt by next Tuesday.” Others, however, see it as a necessary step. “The swear jar is a time-honored American tradition,” argued etiquette coach Mildred Manners. “If we can’t hold our leaders accountable for their language, what’s next? Allowing ‘covfefe’ to become an official word?” The Israel-Iran ceasefire, the original subject of Trump’s tirade, has been all but forgotten in the ensuing media circus. Sources close to the negotiations say both sides are now arguing over who gets to keep the swear jar money in the event of a peace deal. Meanwhile, Judge Jassole has reportedly received a flood of fan mail, mostly from parents begging him to extend the ruling to cover their teenagers. As for Trump, aides say he’s already planning a “Swear Jar Freedom Rally” at Mar-a-Lago, complete with branded merchandise and a speech promising to “make cursing great again.” Tickets are $500, but attendees are warned to bring their own quarters for any accidental profanities.
