President Trump has formally been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize following the announced Iran-Israel ceasefire. Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) sent a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee to formally nominate Trump for the honor. “I write to formally nominate Donald J. JUST IN: President Trump Announces “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE” The Hill reports: Trump announced on Monday evening the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel. The two countries have been engaged in open conflict since June 13, when Israel launched its first airstrikes targeting Iran’s top military officials and nuclear scientists. On Saturday, the U.S. got involved, with Trump ordering U.S. strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, which he declared to be “totally obliterated.” He advised Iran against retaliatory action, warning of the potential for future U.S. strikes if Iran missteps. Iran launched a limited strike on a U.S. air base in Qatar, resulting in no casualties. Shortly thereafter, Trump announced the U.S.-brokered agreement, which appears to remain in effect despite some early uncertainty. “In recent weeks, the world stood on the precipice of a dangerous and potentially region-destabilizing war. Yet in the face of this crisis, President Trump took bold action to ultimately champion peace through strength and facilitate a ceasefire framework that brought hostilities to a halt,” Carter wrote in the letter.

President Trump has released a new statement on his position on regime change in Iran. Three days ago, Trump in a post on Truth social stated, ” If the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???MIGA!!!” However, after brokering a peace agreement with Israel and Iran, the 47th President has a new stance on regime change. In his latest statement on Truth Social, Trump stated a regime change in Iran would lead to chaos. The Hill had these details to report: President Trump on Tuesday backed away from talk of a regime change in Iran, amid pushback from MAGA supporters about the possibility of deeper U.S. involvement in the Middle East. The president was asked if he wants an Iranian regime change and replied, “no.” He added that he wants to “see everything calm down as quickly as possible.” “Regime change takes chaos and ideally we don’t want to see so much chaos. So we’ll see how it goes,” he told reporters on Air Force One on the way to The Hague for the NATO Summit. “The Iranians are very good traders, very good business people, and they got a lot of oil. They should be fine,” he added. “They should be able to rebuild and do a good job. They’re never going to have nuclear. Ford has recalled 197,000 Mustang Mach-Es due to an issue that could leave passengers trapped inside the vehicle. “Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Mustang Mach E vehicles.
