Maybe There Are Nazis Everywhere

You can tell a lot about a political movement by how it handles its fringes, and Democrats and Republicans have dealt with that test very differently.

“I Don’t Need A Full Moon” – Koe Wetzel Sends Fans Into A Frenzy With New Duck Hunting Teaser

It appears new Koe Wetzel music is loading… Koe Wetzel is seemingly keeping the hot streak going after the release of his last single, “Surrounded.” Coming off the heels of his commercially successful record 9 Lives, which scored Wetzel his first number one country radio hit, “High Road,” Wetzel kept the roll going with “Surrounded.” Since its release, fans have been in love with the gritty single, trying to move on from a former lover, but feeling surrounded by their memory. Wetzel was teasing “Surrounded” long before it was gifted to fans, leading us to ask him during a Whiskey Riff Raff conversation if he knew that would be the first single in this next era of music. “I think that’s what we are going to do for the first single. We just finished up the last mix of it, so it’s off at mastering right now. So we are getting pretty close with it. I’m excited about that song.  We’ve got 3 or 4 other ones that we’ve kind of debated on throwing out first, but ‘Surrounded’ just feels really good for us right now. Especially coming off ‘9 Lives,’ we didn’t want to get too crazy with something different. We kind of wanted to give the listeners a familiar sound that they’re familiar with. So, ‘Surrounded’ felt that way.” @whiskeyriff Wanted something that built off ‘9 Lives.’ // Listen to the Whiskey Riff Raff episode with @Koe Wetzel available on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube. #whiskeyriff #koewetzel #newmusic #whiskeyriffraff ♬ original sound – Whiskey Riff Fans have been loving “Surrounded,” and it appears Wetzel is keeping that gritty, haunting feeling in whatever song he releases next. Recently, Wetzel teased the intro of a new song on his social media pages, and fans are foaming at the mouth for it to be released sooner rather than later. In the visual preview of the tune, Wetzel is wading through water while duck hunting, as he walks by his decoys, when gunshots fire off in the distance before a heavy rock-and-roll drumbeat comes in. Wetzel captioned the post: “I don’t need a full moon…” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Koe Wetzel Music (@koewetzelmusic) I’m not sure what Wetzel is cooking up with this teaser, but I can tell it’s going to be good. I hope we get this sooner rather than later. Check out the comments on the post; fans are fired up to hear what’s in store. “Here we go.” “Dammit, I love it already.” “If the good Lord wants to give me another drinking song, then by God it shall be done.” “The drop we are all waiting for!!” “Gonna be fire!!!” “I need some Koe Wetzel duckin’ music.” “Hell of a start!!” “Lfg!!” “Hell f***** yeah!!!” Bring it on, Koe, bring it on. Koe Wetzel Confirms He’s Recorded A Ton Of New Music At the start of 2025, Koe Wetzel sat down with Katie Neal for a mini-episode of Katie & Company, disclosing that he had been in Nashville working on a new record. Neal asked Wetzel what the next chapter looks like. Koe noted that he’s going to build off the sound established on his last studio record, 9 Lives. “Just kind of growing off of ‘9 Lives.’ You know, I think the music that I’ve made for so long has just kind of instilled into me and just kind of soldered into me, and with this new music out, with the new record, I just kind of wanted to get a little bit more of that rock ‘n’ roll side. Back to that Texas rock ‘n’ roll. Working with Gabe Simon again, so it’s fun. You know, every time we go into the studio, it’s different. Every day is different. It’s just kind of go in there blind, having a little bit of an idea of what you’re going to write, but not having a whole outlook on it. And kind of stepping back after the day of work and go like, ‘Holy sh*t that’s, you know, that’s pretty cool actually.’ And that’s bringing a lot more joy back to songwriting and being in the studio because we’re going straight from writing to recording right then. I feel like that’s how it should be, and we are having a lot of fun with it. So… I don’t know, we’ll see how it all comes out.” Flash forward to this fall, and Wetzel shared some more information about the new record in a brief interview with Road Dog Texas before his recent show at EECU Center in Stephenville, Texas. According to Wetzel, he’s been busy in the studio lately and has recorded not one but TWO records over the past year. Though there’s no scheduled release date, he promised that new music is coming soon. “We’ve got some new music coming. I don’t know exactly when the release date’s gonna be, but a lot of new music. I think we’re sitting on like two records now. We’re excited about all new music and finishing up the tour and hunting season.” The Texas native would also note that the album(s) are still in the early stages without a working title. Additionally, he declined to comment about any potential collaborations on the album, saying he can’t release that much information. Given it’s fall, we might not get a full LP until 2026, but based on this teaser, Wetzel hopefully has a single or two in store for us before the year ends. Ella Langley Delivers Flawless Rendition Of Kitty Wells’ Classic Country Hit, “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels”

It’s just the truth. This past weekend, Ella Langley headlined shows in Texas, and she broke out some classic country in Kitty Wells’ honky tonk heartbreaker “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.” It’s one of my all-time favorite classic country songs, and was the first-ever #1 Billboard country hit for a solo female artist. It was released in 1952 and written by J.D. Miller, and Kitty was reluctant to even record it because the content was quite suggestive for the time, but went ahead with it mainly because she wanted to get paid. I respect that. Her career wasn’t going quite the way she wanted it to at the time, and she was actually considering retirement because of it… she actually only agreed to do the session at Owen Bradley’s studio because of the $125 union scale recording payment. It definitely worked out for her though, because it basically launched her career and sent her into country music superstardom. Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn both credit her with being the greatest female country singer of all-time, and inspiring hem to start their own country music careers. And as it turns out, the song was created as a response to Hank Thompson’s 1952 song “The Wild Side Of Life”, where he laments his supposed cheating wife. In Thompson’s song, he sings: “I didn’t know God made honky tonk angels, I might have known you’d never make a wife, You gave up the only one that ever loved you, And went back to the wild side of life” The chorus in Wells’ version goes like this: “It wasn’t God who made honky tonk angels, As you wrote in the words of your song, Too many times married men think they’re still single, And that has caused many a good girl to go wrong” The searing, unapologetic sass in the chorus is genius. Ladies, how many times have you felt like the crazy one in a relationship when it turns out, you were right about whatever it was the entire time? We’ve probably all felt like that before, and this song sums up all those feelings perfectly. If women felt like that in the 50’s, don’t hold your breathe that it will ever change… but at least it makes for really good music. Ella’s voice sounds perfect for this song, and I would absolutely LOVE for her to cut it in the studio one day… it’s a timeless song and message, and she makes it sound just as perfect in 2025 as it did when it was released nearly 75 years ago. Do yourself a favor and check it out: @ellalangleyarchive new country singing old country @Ella Langley ♬ original sound – Ella Langley Archive Speaking of Ella, she just released a new song called “Choosin’ Texas,” which was co-written and produced by Miranda Lambert, and I’m obsessed. Hillary Clinton fires up voters against Trump's White House ballroom construction: 'Not his house'

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently made it known she is no fan of President Donald Trump's project to construct a ballroom at the White House in an appeal to voters, telling them that 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is their "house." "It’s not his house," Clinton wrote on X Tuesday morning. "It’s your house. And he’s destroying it." The social media post included a screenshot of The Washington Post's report, "White House begins demolishing East Wing Facade to build Trump's ballroom," accompanied by a photo of a demolition crew.
