You can't see anything about the guy in the mask from this, so how did they locate him so quickly? Or I should say *allegedly* so quickly, since Boelter is still just a suspect at this time. I'm guessing you might be wondering as well? Here's a quick summary of the likely ways law enforcement quickly pieced together many different clues: The identification of Vance Luther Boelter as the suspect in the shootings, despite him wearing a latex mask, likely stems from a combination of evidence and investigative techniques. A new video of Vance Boelter has emerged and calling it “extremely strange” is an understatement. In this video he introduces himself as “Vance Boelter” and then quickly says “there are no other names I have used.” Is that normal? When you introduce yourself do you say “Hi, I’m John Smith and there are no other names I have used”? Sure sounds to me like he’s used many different aliases in the past. Then he goes on to describe how he works for funeral homes and does crime scene clean up and what he calls “intake” and “removals” and work with the Medical Examiner’s Office. Literally this: Other reports have claimed he owned two security companies and lived in a $900,000 house, although we cannot independently verify those claims. In addition to the funeral home work, he also reportedly had a ‘fantasy’ of security career and also food service work. Oh, and that’s not to mention the one time he went over to run some big project over in the Congo! None of this is adding up. Feels like we’ve got another Thomas Crooks on our hands. Um, no other names that I use. Um, I live in Green Isle, Minnesota, about an hour away from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I’m affiliated with two funeral homes. I work full-time for Wolff Funeral Home, which is an intake location for about six funeral homes, and we also do all the intake for the National Cremation Society and the Neptune, um, Society for all their cremation, um, customers as well. So, um, I mainly do removals at this point. Um, so I work at Wolff full-time, and then I also work for another funeral home called Metro First Call. And they also do traditional removals — um, at nursing homes, assisted living, apartments — but they also have contracts with, uh, medical examiner’s offices. So, like, um, one contract is the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office. So we’ll do removals which, um, we’re working with a lot of police officers and, and um, death investigators at the location where a decedent is found — could be a crime scene or just a natural death. And our role is to just take the decedent from that place of death to the medical examiner’s office. And so between those two, um, locations, I’m working about six days a week. Um, what else here. Family and pets — I have a wife and five kids, and we have two pets — German shepherds. Fun fact about, um, myself — um, I’ve been abou— in the food industry about 30 years, and that led to an opportunity. I was invited to the, um, Democratic Republic of Congo, which is located in Central Africa. When I was in high school, the country was called Zaire — that’s a little bit more familiar with people — but it’s the largest, um, second-largest country in Africa, right in the middle, in the center there. And was asked a couple years ago to go and, um, see what I could do for ideas in helping their food supply system. Their population is about 100 million people, and they import 80% of their food currently. So some of the food companies I worked for in the past were farm-to-fork, like Del Monte Foods and Golden Plum Poultry, where we did everything — from, at Del Monte, we planted the products to harvested them to processed them and then shipped them out. And Golden Plum Poultry — we had our own hatcheries, grow-out barns with the farmers, and then processing plants. So between those two companies, um, I have some experience with agriculture. And so, um, over in the Democratic Republic of Congo, I had some ideas they thought were pretty promising, which, uh, the company I was working for at the time wasn’t interested in doing anything in Africa. So I talked with my wife, and we decided I’d just put in my two-week notice and we’d just go off on our own to try to do these projects to help out in Africa. So we’re doing farming and fishing projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. And to help pay the bills, I just started working at a funeral home because the shift worked good, um, for my schedule with the other things I was doing. And, um, that led to some classes at DMACC, which led to this course — so just learning more about the funeral industry. And I think that covers everything. Me and him, we would play army men,” Carlson said. Bought police-style cars but never launched a security company. Evangelical Claims in Africa – Unverified Claimed to be doing ministry and business projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo over the last 3 years. No independent confirmation of these projects. May Have Had Direct Contact With One Victim Boelter served on the governor’s Workforce Development Board—possibly interacting with Sen. Hoffman through public service channels. Lawmakers Were Possibly on a Target List Minnesota AG Keith Ellison and others say they were on a list of potential targets allegedly compiled by Boelter. Still Possibly Not Acting Alone Investigators haven’t ruled out accomplices and are still trying to determine his motive and whether others helped him. Governor’s Response Gov. Tim Walz ordered flags lowered, condemned the act as targeted political violence, and praised Hortman as “a great leader.”

We all inherit a legacy from the men who came before us. Some of that legacy is good — sacrifice, protection, provision. Some of it is painful — absence, misunderstanding, or failure. As sons, it’s easy to focus on what our fathers didn’t give us. But if we stay there, we risk carrying that pain into the next generation. There’s a better option than blame or bitterness: forgiveness. We must let go of old wounds and decide what kind of fathers — and men — we want to become. Generational growth starts with generational grace. It is easy to look back and critique what we think our father should have done differently without considering how he was raised, the relational dynamics between his parents, and the communication, leadership, or relationship skills he did or didn’t develop. My dad and I struggled to connect on a deeper level for most of my life, but we found common ground in motorcycles. That became our language — our way of understanding each other when words fell short. Just before he passed, we told each other, “I love you.” And I believe with all my heart that if he had known how to do better by me, he would have — because he loved me. Yet, like many men, he wrestled with the memory of the 35-year-old version of himself — the man he wished he had been. But there’s no victory in battling a version of ourselves that no longer exists. Forgiving others is hard; forgiving ourselves is often harder. That’s where grace steps in. I know men who are currently battling their 35-year-old fathers. The problem is, their father is now in his 70s. Our fathers have had to grapple with their inadequacies and failures, just as we have had to find our path to overcome the effects of those shortcomings. But we must go further and forgive our fathers for the unintentional missteps in raising us. Raising and providing for my own family has helped me see my father in a different light. As kids, we don’t realize what it takes to raise children or appreciate the degree of sacrifice it requires. During a conversation with men in my small group, one of the guys said, “Being married is hard. Raising kids is hard.” There was a pause, and I asked, “Would you want it to be easy?” Every man said no, because there is no value without effort. There’s no value in easy. We put in the work because our families are worth it. That means accepting our shortcomings and learning from them. As a 35-year-old father, I made mistakes. Looking back now, I see that those mistakes were the fuel that helped me grow. I didn’t like the man I saw in the mirror, so I decided that he had to change. Your life is being recorded. Whether we recognize it or not, we are teaching our boys what it means to be good sons, brothers, husbands and fathers with every word we speak and action we do or don’t take. They internalize how a marriage should function, how a man should talk and act. They are learning how to take care of others and what a God-centered family looks like. They are inclined to mimic us, and one day, they’ll play that footage back. Realizing this is humbling and compels this exhortation to forgive our fathers. We can’t let the mistakes they made rob us from enjoying what they did correctly. That’s a lesson I hope my son has learned. I’ve chosen not to judge my father by the missteps of his younger self. When he died, he wasn’t 35 — he was in his sixties, and by then, he was a good man. A man who had grown, who had tried, and who had loved the best way he knew how. Carrying around unforgiveness is like me carrying around a hundred-pound backpack. I can’t play with my kids or show up for my family in the ways they need me when I’m lugging around the baggage of my past. They would be getting less the father they deserve and a more restricted, and exhausted shell of myself. To be all that I was created by God to be and to live with intention and purpose in the design of fatherhood, I must shed the unnecessary weight of unforgiveness. Forgiveness doesn’t come naturally. It requires grace — a strength beyond ourselves. It calls us to let go of past pain and offenses, not once, but daily. It’s a continual act of surrender that frees us to move forward. You are not the 35-year-old version of your father. You’re a new man — shaped by his story, refined by grace and guided by a higher calling. Forgive your father. Honor his journey, but don’t repeat his missteps. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he will not allow Iran to commit a second Holocaust in an interview with Fox News. Netanyahu said he decided to attack Iran because the regime posed an “existential threat” to the Jewish state because of its enrichment of uranium and rush to increase its ballistic missile arsenal. “We had to act,” Netanyahu said. “We did act, to save ourselves, but also to not only to protect ourselves but to protect the world from this incendiary regime. We can’t have the world’s most dangerous regime have the world’s most dangerous weapons.” ISRAEL ELIMINATES IRAN’S REVOLUTIONARY GUARD COMMANDER IN STRIKE, SAYS IRANIAN MEDIA Since the launch of Israel’s “Operation Rising Lion,” aimed at destroying Iranian weapons and nuclear capabilities, Iran has fired 270 missiles at Israel—22 of which have struck targets—according to the Israeli government. Thirteen people have been killed, including three children. Another 380 have been injured: 9 are in serious condition, 30 are in moderate condition, and 351 sustained minor injuries. Netanyahu said that his attacks on Iran have been “fully coordinated” with President Donald Trump. “I think that for the security of Israel, America, and the world, we must make sure that they don’t have these weapons and the means to deliver them, and they are working on both,” Netanayhu said. IRAN’S SUPREME LEADER RESPONDS TO ISRAEL’S ATTACK Fox News anchor Brett Baier pointed out that several of Iranian nuclear sites are deep underground and difficult to destroy without U.S. 30,000lbs bunker buster bombs. Netanyahu responded by pointing out some of the other facilities it has destroyed, and said that he runs the “innovation nation” that still has a few tricks up its sleeve — and declined to answer whether he’s asked the U.S. for the weapons.
