The town of Foxboro’s concert curfew was set for 11:30 p.m., but the last song started at 11:44. The fine comes in $0.25 per attendee, so Morgan’s fine needed up totaling $15,705. Honestly, that’s chump change for someone selling out stadiums, but a town of Foxboro spokesperson said in a statement that “his team is aware” and it sounds like as long as a check gets signed, it’s really not going to cause too much extra stress or trouble for anyone: “The Morgan Wallen concert on Friday night is being fined for exceeding the curfew, and his team is aware of this. The curfew was set for 11:30 p.m., but the last song began at 11:44 p.m. — 14 minutes past the cutoff. The fine is assessed at $0.25 per attendee, which totaled $15,705.” You always hear about curfews and how cities typically have fines for an artist going overtime, which makes sense considering a lot of these venues have people living nearby and they can’t be playing all hours of the night. Most artists are really good about being done on time, because no one wants to be fined, but I’ve never heard an actual breakdown of how much it costs for going over. I’ve also seen tons of videos on TikTok’s of fans complaining about how late Morgan has come out for the shows, so that could’ve been part of the reason he went over as well. The record fine for Foxboro’s curfew occurred back in 2016, when Bruce Springsteen played until almost midnight, leading to a $22,429 fine. I think this is probably the least of Morgan’s worries, and he’s headed to Canada following Labor Day weekend to wrap up the tour there.
