A South Carolina Republican state lawmaker was arrested and charged for allegedly distributing child sexual abuse material. “A federal grand jury in Greenville returned a 10-count indictment against Robert John May III, 38, of West Columbia,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of South Carolina stated. May is a GOP member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, serving the 88th district. Prosecutors allege that May used the screen name “joebidennnn69” to exchange the graphic material. The three-term Republican is accused of using “joebidennnn69” to exchange 220 different files of toddlers and young children involved in sex acts on the Kik social media network for about five days in spring 2024, according to court documents that graphically detailed the videos. Each charge carries a five-to-20 year prison sentence upon conviction and prosecutors suggested May could spend over a decade in prison if found guilty. The files were uploaded and downloaded using May’s home Wi-Fi network and his cellphone, prosecutors said. Some were hidden by the use of a private network but others were directly linked to his internet addresses. Kik flagged several videos from the username “joebidennnn69” as containing child sexual abuse. Investigators connected the account to the home IP address and mobile device of May and identified at least 10 videos depicting child sexual abuse that were shared from the account. WATCH:

"We are not going to allow Donald Trump to wreck the rule of law, to deny people due process and to turn our country into something that doesn’t meet its obligations under international law," Lander said. "We are normalizing the destruction of constitutional democracy, and we’re not going to stand by and let it happen," he added. Lander, who as comptroller is responsible for auditing the performance and finances of city agencies, is running in next week’s Democratic primary for mayor of New York. New York Gov. It was his third time observing federal immigration hearings since masked federal agents began staking out immigration courtrooms last month, targeting immigrants for arrest. At around noon, Lander had linked arms with Edgardo leaving an immigration courtroom on the 12th floor, refusing to let go as agents pushed into the crowd attempting to pull him away. In the chaotic scene, Lander asked the agents repeatedly to show a judicial warrant. “You do not have the authority to arrest U.S. citizens,” Lander repeated, as the officers tightened handcuffs to his wrists. The federal agents escorted him into an elevator, with one member of his NYPD security detail alongside him. A reporter from THE CITY had overheard one agent say to another minutes before Lander’s arrest, “Do you want to arrest the Comptroller?” It turns out the federal authorities did want to.
