Pam Bondi FIRED — Epstein Files Mishandling ENDS Career…

President Donald Trump removed Attorney General Pam Bondi from her position as America’s top law enforcement officer, ending her tenure amid mounting criticism over the Justice Department’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein files. The longtime Trump ally will transition to an undisclosed private sector role, with her deputy Todd Blanche taking over the nation’s top legal position. Epstein Files Controversy Drives Decision Sources familiar with Trump’s thinking confirm the President grew increasingly frustrated with Bondi’s management of the Epstein case over several months. When she took office in February 2025, Bondi pledged full transparency and promised to release client lists associated with the disgraced financier who died in 2019. Instead, millions of files only came out after Congress passed legislation forcing their release. The Justice Department faced bipartisan backlash for failing to properly redact survivor information while simultaneously protecting others not identified as victims. Combative Congressional Hearing Less than two months ago, Bondi appeared before Congress in a contentious hearing where exchanges with lawmakers descended into shouting matches. During the session, she called one Democratic representative a “washed-up loser” as tensions flared over the Epstein investigation. The heated confrontation foreshadowed her departure, though Trump publicly defended her performance as recently as Thursday morning, calling her “a wonderful person” doing “a good job.” Second Major Cabinet Departure Bondi becomes the second Trump administration official ousted in recent weeks, following Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s removal in March. Trump praised Bondi’s efforts in a Truth Social post, crediting her with overseeing “a massive crackdown in crime across our country.” Her successor Blanche denied media reports that the Epstein files influenced the decision, telling Fox News that Bondi “made our country safe again” and performed excellently during her first year. Congressional Response and Next Steps Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, a vocal critic of the Epstein files handling, expressed hope the next Attorney General would “release all the Epstein files according to the law and follow up with investigations, prosecutions and arrests.” California Democrat Ro Khanna told BBC Newsnight that Congress should refuse to confirm Blanche unless he commits to investigating the matter thoroughly. Bondi stated she would work to ensure a smooth transition while continuing to support Trump’s agenda from her new private sector position. Sources BBC: Trump removes US Attorney General Pam Bondi

How Trump’s 2027 Budget Cuts Funding for Woke Ideology

How Trump’s 2027 Budget Cuts Funding for Woke Ideology

President Donald Trump’s 2027 budget includes massive funding cuts for programs pushing ideologies “that poison the minds of Americans,” according to a fact sheet obtained by The Daily Signal. Under the leadership of Director Russ Vought, the White House’s Office of Management and Budget released its fiscal year 2027 budget Friday, stating plans to “eliminat[e] funding for cultural Marxism.” The budget calls for non-defense discretionary spending to be cut 10%, as opposed to 20% last year. The budget cuts $106 million from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, which funded a project at Seattle Children’s Hospital titled, “Using Telehealth to Improve Access to Gender-Affirming Care for BIPOC and Rural Gender-Diverse Youth.” The budget also asks Congress to eliminate the agency’s “digital health portfolio,” which it says included an AI tool to help 15- to 25-year-olds with “sexual health decision making.” The agency also funded an online tool called “ContraceptionForAll” to help females identifying as males choose contraception, and a study on how Medicaid “gender-affirming care” coverage policies impacted the use of hormones and sex-change surgeries among beneficiaries, according to the fact sheet. Trump wants to cut all funding for the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education because “the Congress has abused these funds by directing them to fund initiatives unrelated to students or institutional reforms.” This includes $1.2 million for San Diego Community College’s LGBTQIA+ pride Center staffing, according to the fact sheet. The budget also eliminates awards to Community Development Financial Institutions. Former Vice President Kamala Harris had announced $1.73 billion in grants to 603 institutions in 2023 to build “a more equitable, resilient economy.” “Terminating this fund would also prevent taxpayer dollars from forwarding gender extremism, including an LQBTQ+ clinic in Detroit, transgender housing initiatives, and a fashion show promoting transgender awareness,” the fact sheet says. The budget eliminates the Department of Justice’s Community Relations Service and Office of Access to Justice. “Each is a woke enterprise that fails to serve the core function of DOJ to fight crime and protect U.S. communities,” the fact sheet says. Community Relations Service has the job of “preventing and resolving racial and ethnic tensions, incidents, and civil disorders, and in restoring racial stability and harmony,” while the Office of Access to Justice executes “access to justice policy initiatives.” According to OMB, “this means helping Non-Governmental Organizations and their lawyers to interfere with Government processes and prevent justice from being delivered effectively.” Trump also wants to eliminate funding for the Department of Education’s Equity Assistance Centers. “This program has been weaponized to force local districts to implement Washington-directed DEI practices against their will,” the fact sheet says. “Examples of weaponized grant programming include equity audits for districts to assess racism and bias; training materials for educators on white supremacy; and ‘Anti-Racism Committee’ groups for districts.” The budget ends Department of Housing and Urban Development grants for racial, gender, and climate goals. For example, the department provided $5 million to the City of Seattle to “redress past harms” through a “Legacy Homeowner Program” that prioritized Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) residents “at risk of displacement.” The department also gave Los Angeles $6.7 million for housing, including an “Equity Audit to reverse land use patterns that have roots in systemically racist policies.“ Milwaukee received $2.1 million to solve racial disparities in home ownership. The budget would end $70 million in funding for the Teacher Quality Partnership Program, which OMB says was used to indoctrinate new teachers. “Training materials in these ‘partnerships’ included topics such as Critical Race Theory, DEI, social justice activism, ‘anti-racism,’ and instruction on white privilege and white supremacy,” the fact sheet says. The budget terminates the Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Justice Program, which claimed minorities were especially vulnerable to “climate change” because of their dependence on “climate-sensitive resources” like food and water. Trump also seeks to eliminate the Minority Business Development Agency, after a district court in 2024 found the agency’s presumption of “social disadvantage based on race or ethnicity” in its funding decisions to be unconstitutional. ActBlue Lawyers Raised Alarm About Potential Misstatements to Congress on Foreign Donations: Report

Lawyers for the Democrat fundraising organization ActBlue warned that the organization’s CEO may have misled Congress in explaining how her group vetted donations to ensure they did not come from foreign citizens, according to newly released memos. ActBlue told The Daily Signal that it has “continually worked to comply” with all laws regarding foreign contributions. The memos warn that ActBlue President and CEO Regina Wallace-Jones’ 2023 letter to the U.S. Committee on House Administration laid out an overly optimistic version of ActBlue’s foreign donation screening. After the organization’s then-law firm Covington & Burling sent the memos in early 2025, many ActBlue senior officials resigned, and the law firm would later separate from ActBlue. “It can be alleged that ActBlue accepted and/or facilitated the acceptance of foreign-national contributions into American elections,” warns one of the memos, reported by The New York Times. “In addition, because ActBlue’s staff was aware that its system was not as robust as necessary, it could be alleged that these violations were ‘knowing and willful,’ a standard that both increases the penalties the [Federal Election Commission] might seek and gives the Justice Department jurisdiction for a potential criminal investigation.” While Wallace-Jones’ letter said the organization processed contributions with foreign mailing addresses only if a donor supplied a U.S. passport number, the Covington memo stated that ActBlue did not always follow that rule. Wallace-Jones’ letter also claimed that ActBlue would contact donors to request passport information, and refund those who could not be reached. A memo claimed that donors who paid through third-party apps such as Apple Pay, PayPal, or Venmo did not receive these requests for passport information. The memos did not identify illegal contributions, and suggested the scope of the problems was unclear. Kimberly Peeler-Allen, chairwoman of the ActBlue board of directors, told The New York Times that “less than 1%” of contributions from the 2024 election cycle had signs that they came from foreign countries. “The November 2023 letter sent to Congress by ActBlue was carefully reviewed by inside and outside counsel and key business leaders prior to submission,” ActBlue told The Daily Signal. “The letter was accurate.” “The statements in my 2023 letter to the House Administration Committee were accurate in the context in which they were written,” Wallace-Jones told The New York Times. She noted that Covington approved the letter. Even so, ActBlue took steps to beef up its vetting of foreign donations and outlined the changes in a June 2025 letter to various congressional leaders, including the Committee on House Administration. The letter also suggested Republicans engaged in a “partisan effort” instead of “an exercise of legitimate legislative oversight.” In her statement to the Times, Wallace-Jones attacked Covington, saying she had “terminated” ActBlue’s relationship with the law firm in March 2025 after “more than a year of navigating tardiness, unpreparedness, and counsel that bordered on malpractice.” “We have complete confidence in the legal advice our lawyers provided to ActBlue, David Schaefer, senior director of communications at Covington & Burling, told The Daily Signal in a statement Thursday. ActBlue’s Response “ActBlue has continually worked to comply with all FEC laws including laws related to appropriately screening for potential foreign contributions, which constitute less than 1% of the total contributions on the ActBlue platform,” ActBlue told The Daily Signal. “Of those, many come from the 6 million American citizens who live abroad—such as US military personnel.” “We have continually improved our processes, even while facing repeated partisan attacks from the Trump administration and its allies,” ActBlue stated. “Most importantly, ActBlue is stable and stronger than ever.” While ActBlue told The Daily Signal that the Times “unfortunately disregarded extensive evidence we made available to them,” it did not contest any of the specific quotes from the memos. Three Options One of the Covington 2025 memos outlined “potential legal risks associated with statements to Congress that may be alleged to be false or misleading,” noting that the maximum penalties would be five years in prison and $250,000 in fines. The memo outlined three options for ActBlue: Provide new information “without explicitly stating that ActBlue is correcting the record.” “Explicitly correct the record.” “Do not provide additional information clarifying the prior statements.” “An aggressive prosecutor may view the November 2023 letter not just as a false statement but as an effort to conceal the foreign contributions,” the Covington memo reportedly warned. Three House committees—the Judiciary Committee, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the Committee on House Administration—are investigating ActBlue, as are the Justice Department and the FBI. The Justice Department did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment.
