Israeli Government, Politicians, and Activists Call for Trump to Receive Nobel Peace Prize Following Israel-Hamas Deal

A chorus of voices are calling for President Donald Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize after Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and hostage release deal.   “Give [Trump] the Nobel Peace Prize—he deserves it,” the Prime Minister of Israel X account posted Thursday morning.   Give @realDonaldTrump the Nobel Peace Prize – he deserves it! ? pic.twitter.com/Hbuc7kmPt1— Prime Minister of Israel (@IsraeliPM) October 9, 2025 “Undoubtedly, President Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize,” Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, who is Jewish, wrote on social media after Trump announced the peace deal.   Trump has “achieve what many said was impossible,” Republican commentator Nora Lee Notzon told GB News Thursday morning.   “Israelis rarely agree on anything, but today we’re united: President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize,” Eylon Levy, the former spokesman for the State of Israel, said Thursday.   Calls for Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize follow breaking news Wednesday evening that Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a deal to end the war that began two years ago following the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel that left 1,200 dead and another 251 hostage in Gaza.   Last week, Trump presented a 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza, disarm Hamas, and bring all the hostages home. Israel accepted Trump’s full plan, and Hamas accepted parts of the plan, but said “details” needed to be negotiated.   Mediators from the U.S., Turkey, and Qatar have been in Egypt since Monday working to reach a deal both Israel and Hamas could agree to. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who worked to broker the Abraham Accords, arrived in Egypt late Tuesday night alongside Steve Witkoff, U.S. special envoy to the Middle East. On Wednesday evening, Israel and Hamas both agreed to the first phase of the deal, which includes the release of the 20 living hostages still in Gaza in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. Both Israel and Hamas have now signed the first phase of the deal.   Author and Israel advocate Aviva Klompas shared an image on X after news of the deal broke of a farmer’s field in Israel carefully plowed to read, “Nobel 4 Trump.”  Israeli farmers created a giant message to the world: Nobel 4 Trump ? Guy Sherry pic.twitter.com/uJl2lRhNdb— Aviva Klompas (@AvivaKlompas) October 9, 2025 “Give the man the Nobel Prize,” Klompas wrote.   Leader of the Opposition Party in Israel Yair Lapid issued a video statement calling on the Nobel committee to “award President Trump the Nobel Peace Prize.”   “He did something unbelievable,” Lapid continued. “I thank him, I thank his team: Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Marco Rubio, and Tony Blair.”   Today I’m in Washington DC as this is happening… calls for a Nobel Peace Prize for America’s 47th President. The Israeli Opposition Leader Party Yair Lapid says it is time to celebrate President Trump as a global peacemaker. pic.twitter.com/kLh7fTBtPo— HARRISFAULKNER (@HARRISFAULKNER) October 9, 2025 The Nobel Committee will announce the winner of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize on Friday morning.   Trump has made no secret of the fact that he would like to receive the prize.   “They will never give me a Nobel Peace Prize. It’s too bad. I deserve it, but they will never give it to me,” Trump said in February during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.   In addition to the war between Israel and Hamas, Trump has played a role in bringing to an end about half a dozen conflicts since his return to the White House, including India and Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, and Israel and Iran.   Trump is expected to travel to the Middle East in the coming days. The president has been invited to deliver a speech to Israel’s parliament and has also received an invitation from Egypt.   The post Israeli Government, Politicians, and Activists Call for Trump to Receive Nobel Peace Prize Following Israel-Hamas Deal appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Ted Cruz Targets Government “Jawboning” of Big Tech, Vows Legislation

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Senator Ted Cruz used his latest Senate Commerce Committee hearing to intensify his push against what he describes as government “jawboning,” the practice of pressuring private companies to restrict lawful speech. The hearing, titled “Shut Your App: How Uncle Sam Jawboned Big Tech Into Silencing Americans,” focused on the growing threat of state-backed censorship, particularly online and in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. Cruz opened the session by warning that federal officials have been using their influence to silence citizens indirectly through corporate intermediaries. “In a free society, the people govern, not by mob or might, but by reasoned argument and the rule of law,” he said in his statement entered into the record. “Essential to keeping a society free is the ability of a citizenry to speak freely and debate openly without fear of government reprisal.” His remarks follow the release of a report accusing the Biden administration of turning the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency into a tool for suppressing online debate. We obtained a copy of the report for you here. According to the report, the agency pressured major social media companies to remove or downgrade posts related to COVID-19 policies and election security. “Last week, I released a report detailing how the Biden administration weaponized the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to pressure Big Tech into policing speech,” Cruz said. “Two of today’s witnesses, Alex Berenson and Sean Davis, were personally targeted by our government.” Both Berenson and Davis testified that their accounts were restricted after raising questions about pandemic policies and mail-in voting. Cruz described these incidents as examples of a broader government strategy that seeks to outsource censorship to private firms, avoiding direct constitutional accountability. “The First Amendment is a powerful weapon against the government’s ability to publicly censor its own citizens,” he said. “But in recent years, we have seen the government censor in secret through third parties, ‘jawboning’ Big Tech into suppressing user content, often under the guise of ‘safety’ or ‘national security.’” Cruz also cautioned that the same tactics are being extended to artificial intelligence, where federal agencies are already attempting to define and regulate “harmful” or “misleading” information. “By controlling AI inputs and outputs, the Biden administration was deciding what information Americans could see and consume, an effort that continues with laws in California, Colorado, and New York,” he said. As part of his broader Legislative Framework for American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence, Cruz announced that he will soon introduce legislation to ban government jawboning outright and make it easier for Americans to hold officials accountable. “In the coming weeks, I will be introducing legislation to prohibit government jawboning and empower Americans to hold government officials accountable,” he stated. The senator’s proposal would provide new legal remedies for individuals who have been silenced at the direction of government actors and establish clearer boundaries to prevent agencies from covertly shaping public discourse. Cruz framed the issue as fundamental to democratic self-government. “No government official, regardless of party, should be engaged in jawboning. The First Amendment is not about opinions you agree with. It’s not about opinions that are right and reasonable. The First Amendment is about opinions that you passionately disagree with and the right of others to express them.” He concluded his remarks by inviting bipartisan cooperation on the measure. “I’ll give my Democrat colleagues a chance to redeem themselves: Join me in standing up for free speech by working to advance this legislation and stop censorship by government officials,” Cruz said. Meyers Demands Republicans Cave On Obamacare Subsidies

NBC’s Seth Meyers devoted Wednesday’s “Closer Look” segment on Late Night to how the government shutdown has affected air traffic control. At the end, Meyers blamed Republicans for not caving to Democrats’ demands on extending the Biden-era Obamacare subsidies. Meyers introduced a pair of clips by bringing back his favorite tradition: praising Sen. Bernie Sanders, “As a reminder, this shutdown is happening because of health care. Premiums are about to skyrocket. Democrats just want to extend the subsidies that will prevent that from happening. Republicans admit it's a problem and claim they'll negotiate after the government reopens. But Senator Bernie Sanders isn't so sure.”     In the second clip, CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asked, “Tonight, he [President Trump] posted on Truth Social, basically, you need to reopen the government first before you can have that conversation. Are you willing to do that?” Sanders replied, “No, of course not. Who trusts them? You know, look, they have had months and months to negotiate, and they have chosen not to. The Speaker of the House has said to his members, ‘You don't even have to come back to Washington, D.C.’ Before any Democrat, sane Democrat, would agree to anything, has to be explicit, written down, cross their fingers, you know, and so forth and so on. You can't, ‘Oh, we'll negotiate with you.’ Really? Who believes that?” Meyers appreciated the answer by breaking out his Sanders impression, “Bernie always shoots it straight. Maybe we should hire him as an air traffic controller. ‘Okay, United, you can go. Southwest, you've gotta wait. I know—I know you're confused, Southwest.’" He then added, “The president could easily solve this by negotiating with Democrats in Congress, but he refuses. So, now our government is descending into chaos. Just remember the next time you're traveling, your flight might be, much like a song by our next guest—” Meyers punctuated his thought with a callback to a truncated version of a clip he played earlier of a local news anchor simply saying, “Cancelled.” Throughout this shutdown, the liberal comedians have dutifully stood behind Democratic efforts to extend the Obamacare subsidies, but not once has any of them pointed out that these were meant to be a temporary COVID relief measure. Nor has anyone referenced that the Biden-era program removed the original cap that limited recipients to those who make 400 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. Here is a transcript for the October 8-taped show: NBC Late Night with Seth Meyers 10/9/2025 12:50 AM ET SETH MEYERS: As a reminder, this shutdown is happening because of health care. Premiums are about to skyrocket. Democrats just want to extend the subsidies that will prevent that from happening. Republicans admit it's a problem and claim they'll negotiate after the government reopens. But Senator Bernie Sanders isn't so sure. MORGAN NORWOOD [10/7]: President Trump is now calling on Democrats to reopen the government, writing on Truth Social, "I am happy to work with the Democrats on their failed health care policies or anything else. But first, they must allow our government to reopen." KAITLAN COLLINS [10/6]: Tonight, he posted on Truth Social, basically, you need to reopen the government first before you can have that conversation. Are you willing to do that? BERNIE SANDERS: No, of course not. Who trusts them? You know, look, they have had months and months to negotiate, and they have chosen not to. The Speaker of the House has said to his members, "You don't even have to come back to Washington, D.C." Before any Democrat, sane Democrat, would agree to anything, has to be explicit, written down, cross their fingers, you know, and so forth and so on. You can't, "Oh, we'll negotiate with you." Really? Who believes that? MEYERS: Bernie always shoots it straight. Maybe we should hire him as an air traffic controller. [Bernie Sanders Impression] "Okay, United, you can go. Southwest, you've gotta wait. I know — I know you're confused, Southwest." The president could easily solve this by negotiating with Democrats in Congress, but he refuses. So, now our government is descending into chaos. Just remember the next time you're traveling, your flight might be, much like a song by our next guest— LOCAL NEWS REPORTER: Cancelled.

Kristi Noem hammers Zach Bryan over apparently anti-ICE song — singer says he's 'scared' by negative reaction

Country singer Zach Bryan responded to a wave of backlash over a snippet of a song he released that appeared to criticize the mission of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.Bryan posted the short clip from his song onto his Instagram account and immediately received fierce criticism from many on the right. That included Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.'To see how much s**t it stirred up makes me not only embarrassed but kind of scared.'"Zach, I didn’t listen to your music. I’m happy about that today,” she said during a media briefing in Portland, Oregon. “That makes me very happy that I never gave you a single penny to enrich your lifestyle.”She later offered further clarification in a podcast interview with Benny Johnson."I hope Zach Bryan understands how completely disrespectful that song is, not just to law enforcement but to this country, to every single individual that has stood up and fought for our freedoms," Noem said. "He just compromised it all by putting out a product ... that attacks individuals who are just trying to make our streets safe."On Tuesday, the social media account for DHS mocked Bryan by posting a video using one of his songs in order to highlight ICE operations.Bryan, who is a military veteran, responded to the backlash with a video posted to his Instagram account also on Tuesday."I served this country, I love this country, and the song itself is about all of us coming out of this divided space. I wasn't speaking as a politician or some greater-than-thou a*****e, just a 29-year-old man who is just as confused as everyone else," he said."To see how much s**t it stirred up makes me not only embarrassed but kind of scared," he added.RELATED: Don Lemon stunned by black New Yorker's response to mass deportations during live streaming video Bryan went on to explain that the song was written months ago."This song is about how much I love this country and everyone in it more than anything. When you hear the rest of the song, you will understand the full context that hits on both sides of the aisle," Bryan continued. "Everyone using this now as a weapon is only proving how devastatingly divided we all are. We need to find our way back."Like Blaze News? 'BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!' Trump brings an end to another bloody war ahead of Nobel Prize announcement

Putting his doubters to shame once again, President Donald Trump has successfully brokered a peace in Gaza. The deal, which the Israeli government will vote on Thursday, was signed just days before the announcement of this year's coveted Novel Peace Prize.Israel has fought several wars with Hamas since the terrorist organization won Palestinian elections in 2006. The latest conflict between the two parties has been particularly brutal. In the two years since Oct. 7, 2023 — the day Hamas slaughtered 1,200 Israelis, including hundreds of civilians, and took 251 hostages — Israel has lost at least 466 soldiers, including several colonels, in its Gaza counteroffensive. According to the Hamas-run Gazan health authority whose casualty estimates remain in question, there have been well over 65,000 Gazan fatalities.President Donald Trump, who has earned a reputation not only for hating wars but for ending them, has worked ardently to secure peace in the Gaza Strip.Late last month, he announced a 21-point peace plan for Gaza — a plan lauded by leaders around the globe.Hamas promptly agreed to the deal, which requires an immediate end to the fighting; a return of the Israeli hostages; Israel's release of thousands of Gazans detained after Oct. 7, 2023; a withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza City, Rafah, and other heavily populated areas; and a resumption of aid to Gaza "without interference from the two parties."Trump revealed in a Truth Social post on Wednesday evening that "Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan."'He deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for this.'"This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace," wrote Trump. "All Parties will be treated fairly!"Trump emphasized that "this is a GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America.""BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!" added the president. — (@) As Trump's name was reportedly chanted in the streets of Gaza and Israel alike, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated, "Through steadfast resolve, powerful military action, and the great efforts of our great friend and ally President Trump, we have reached this critical turning point."RELATED: Two years after October 7: God hasn't been silent Photo by BASHAR TALEB/AFP via Getty Images "I thank President Trump for his leadership, his partnership, and his unwavering commitment to the safety of Israel and the freedom of our hostages," added Netanyahu. An Israeli government official told the Telegraph that Netanyahu's government will vote on whether to certify the peace plan around 5 p.m. local time. Within 72 hours of the approval, the exchange of hostages and prisoners is supposed to commence.Ahead of the Israeli vote, there have been renewed calls for Trump to finally receive the Nobel Peace Prize.Trump has brokered peaceful resolutions between Azerbaijan and Armenia; Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo; Cambodia and Thailand; and India and Pakistan. He has also worked to smooth things over between Egypt and Ethiopia as well as between Kosovo and Serbia during his first term. While any one these accomplishments would appear prizeworthy, a European diplomat told the Financial Times ahead of Trump's Wednesday announcement, "This is different. Gaza would be a big deal."Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick wrote in response to Trump's announcement, "Undoubtedly, President Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize."Israeli President Isaac Herzog similarly noted, "There is no doubt that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for this."In his Sept. 30 address to military leaders in Quantico, Virginia, Trump said of the Nobel Peace Prize, "They'll give it to some guy that didn't do a damn thing."After suggesting that a decision by the Nobel committee members on Oct. 10 not to award him the prize would "be a big insult to our country," Trump noted, "I don't want it. I want the country to get it."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Female calls 911 at night, says she killed cop, will kill another — then points gun at officers, police say. It ends badly.

Police in Alsip, Illinois — a village about 30 minutes south of Chicago — said officers were dispatched to the area of 124th Street and South Cicero Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday in response to a 911 call from a female saying she was being chased by an active shooter. While officers were responding, the female made several more 911 calls saying she had a loaded gun, that she had killed a cop, and that she would kill another officer, police said.'Horrible situation. Sounds like a mental health crisis gone bad.'The female caller’s phone was geographically tracked to the Burr Oak Cemetery, police said, adding that officers searched the cemetery and found the female in the west end of the cemetery. As officers approached, the female fled, scaled a fence, and crossed Cicero Avenue, police said, adding that pursuing officers issued multiple verbal commands for her to stop. However, she turned and pointed a firearm at officers, police said.RELATED: Woman shot by Virginia police was holding fake gun Photographer: Stefani Reynolds/Bloomberg via Getty ImagesFaced with an imminent threat, police said one of the responding officers shot the female.Officers immediately began lifesaving measures on her, police said, adding that the Alsip Fire Department arrived on the scene and continued lifesaving measures. The female was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.A replica Colt firearm was immediately recovered at the scene, police said. The incident appears isolated, police said, adding that there is no threat to the public. The Alsip Police Department said it asked the Illinois State Police Public Integrity Unit to investigate the incident. The investigation is ongoing.Police said those with information about this incident are asked to contact either the Alsip Police Department at 708-385-6902 or the Illinois State Police. The woman’s identity has not been shared at this time, WFLD-TV reported.Hundreds of comments were left on the police department's Facebook post about the incident. Most commenters appeared supportive of police in a no-win situation, but a few others seem skeptical of things."Horrible situation. Sounds like a mental health crisis gone bad. Awful outcome for this woman’s family and the first responders involved," one commenter wrote. "I wish people knew the emotional burden an officer takes on in this type of situation.""Prayer[s] for all officers/fire/dispatch involved in this call," another user said, adding that a "very difficult decision was made.""Is there any body camera footage that anybody actually see[s] her pull a gun on the police officer?" another commenter wondered. "I’m just saying people lie to protect themselves.""Might be a cover-up of something bigger that happened," another user stated.Like Blaze News?
