Complete List Of Derek And The Dominos Band Members

Derek and the Dominos emerged from the vibrant musical crossroads of 1970 as a supergroup forged by necessity rather than design. The band was formed in the spring of 1970 by singer-guitarist Eric Clapton, keyboardist-singer Bobby Whitlock, bassist Carl Radle and drummer Jim Gordon, with all four members having previously played together in Delaney & Bonnie and Friends. The band’s only full-length release, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, was produced by Tom Dowd, and also featured extensive contributions on lead and slide guitar from Duane Allman. Although released in 1970 it was not until March 1972 that the album’s The post Complete List Of Derek And The Dominos Band Members appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Payment Gatekeepers Hit Gab AI as Chatbot Faces Growth

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Gab AI says its payment processor has terminated services. According to Gab, the termination was based on “adverse media reports about Gab AI.” Gab reported that the move came just as it launched version 3.0 of its AI dashboard, which included upgrades such as persistent memory, file management, new agent capabilities, collection features, and UI customizations. The company claims the timing of the suspension aligns with a surge in its growth and international adoption. In a blog post addressing the ban, Gab said, “This afternoon the payment cartel struck again and banned Gab AI from processing payments. The same playbook we’ve seen for nine years repeated itself with clockwork precision: Gab hits escape velocity, and the Regime’s enforcers pull the plug.” The company tied the payment disruption to its July performance, which it characterized as a period of explosive user engagement and revenue expansion. Gab positioned the ban as part of a long-running pattern targeting platforms that reject what it calls “approved narratives.” The post claimed, “We built something different. A platform where artificial intelligence tells the truth instead of the approved narratives. Where users can ask forbidden questions and get honest answers about everything from demographics to historical events.” The company also cited earlier incidents in which it lost access to digital infrastructure. It referenced the removal of its app from Google Play within 48 hours of hitting #1, as well as being cut off by multiple banks in the wake of a major user influx after Parler’s 2021 deplatforming. “Each time we reach escape velocity, they change the rules mid-flight,” the post said. Gab stated that the payment ban resulted in an immediate 20% revenue drop and warned that this directly impacts staffing, server capacity, and product development. A US-only backup processor has already been brought online, but international transactions remain affected. As a workaround, Gab is urging users to adopt Bitcoin, which it calls central to its financial infrastructure. The company said Bitcoin transactions are helping it remain operational. “Bitcoin doesn’t care about your politics. Bitcoin can’t be threatened by payment processors or strong-armed by regulators. It’s free speech money for parallel infrastructure, and it’s literally keeping Gab AI operational as I write this,” the post stated. International users are being asked to use Bitcoin while Gab works to restore other options. The company described cryptocurrency as an essential tool in an environment where financial services can be denied over political considerations. “Gab is not the first and will not be the last company or person you support to be financially deplatformed,” the post said. Gab framed the situation as part of a broader battle over control of emerging AI technologies, presenting its platform as an alternative to what it sees as centralized control. “This isn’t about a payment processor. It’s about whether the future of AI belongs to centralized entities that enforce regime orthodoxy, or to parallel systems that empower human inquiry.” If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. Column: How Dare Anyone Question Wokeness at the Smithsonian Museums?

The central strategy of media bias is defining your terms. The most obnoxious strategy of liberal journalists is defining the Republicans as ideological extremists engaging in culture wars and weaponizing partisan narratives for political victory. They pretend Democrats are nothing like this. The epic political battles of our time are between the ultraconservatives and the nonpartisans. The same exercise happens with federally-funded messaging, from public broadcasting to national museums. When President Trump demands a review of these taxpayer-subsidized narratives, it’s considered some kind of authoritarian crusade against nonpartisan truth-telling. It doesn’t matter how much left-wing propaganda Trump voters have been forced to support. It’s automatically defined as the gold standard of information – because Trump questions it. One hot topic this week was Trump’s crusade to impose the notion of “American exceptionalism” in taxpayer-funded museums before the nation’s 250th anniversary, and to root out divisive and partisan narratives. On CNN, Anderson Cooper proclaimed this was “insulting to the memory of people who fought and died for this country. And I'm not just talking about those who fought in wars overseas. I'm talking about, you know, Americans, enslaved people who died in this country, who were lynched, who were chased by mobs.” Cooper struck a dramatic pose, or danced a partisan pirouette, as a spokesman for all dead Americans. Cooper brought on former NAACP boss Cornell Brooks to share in the outrage. In a similar exchange on Cooper’s show in March, Brooks exemplified the liberal argument: “When I think about an American president charging the vice president with rooting out improper ideology at the Smithsonian, I think about a couple things. It is not the job of an American president to charge the crown jewel of American art and history and culture with having a proper ideology, right?” When an institution curates history to echo the Left, they are a “crown jewel.” Brooks also declared that “the Smithsonian was created for the diffusion, the spreading, the expansion of knowledge, not engaging in ideology or propaganda or whitewashing our American history.” CNN needs to explore the website of the Smithsonian’s “Center for Restorative History,” which unmistakably sounds like an ideological crusade: “We spotlight the people and stories that have been excluded from our national narrative using the principles of restorative justice. We do this by partnering with communities across the country that continue to resist these exclusions. Together, with their diverse voices, we make history and imagine a more just and inclusive future.” Inside this bubble, it’s the divisive spirit of the “1619 Project” of The New York Times. It’s “whitewashing” history if you don’t accept that America today is systematically racist. It echoes the spirit of DEI guru Robin DiAngelo, who argues “a positive white identity is an impossible goal. White identity is inherently racist; white people do not exist outside the system of white supremacy.” The Smithsonian reports 62 percent of its funding comes from the federal government. It’s not undemocratic to think that most Americans believe their country should be celebrated for aspiring to the goal of liberty and justice for all. But the Left opposes making anyone recite the Pledge of Allegiance. It’s a “whopper of a lie,” to quote the late PBS star Bill Moyers. The liberal elites who equate themselves with Democracy don’t want the voters to be able to have a say in what historical narratives go in national museums. They properly worry that President Trump’s review of the contents has majority support as a fine idea.

Louisiana man who intentionally dragged officer for 500 feet with his truck is charged with murder after officer dies

A Louisiana police officer who was dragged for 500 feet from a truck died of his injuries, and the man accused of intentionally striking him is now charged with murder.Gad Black, 41, bragged on social media about hitting Sgt. Caleb Eisworth with his Ford F-150 truck in June, according to prosecutors. Eisworth was hospitalized with very serious injuries, as previously reported by Blaze Media, but he died on Sunday.'Check Him Out on Joor Rd. Stretched One.'Black appeared in court Monday and was relatively calm when officials upgraded his charges to include murder. He is also facing hate-crime charges. Eisworth was driving home on his police motorcycle when he was struck by Black near Greenwell Springs Road and Joor Road at about 11 a.m., according to prosecutors."Check Him Out on Joor Rd. Stretched One," Black allegedly wrote on Facebook. He appeared in court virtually before Commissioner Nicole Robinson.Black's family released a statement offering condolences to the family of the officer, who was a 23-year veteran of the force. "On behalf of the Black family, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of Sergeant Caleb Eisworth. We are heartbroken to learn of his passing, and our prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time."RELATED: Parents of 11-year-old targeted in murder plot by 5th-graders break their silence: 'There was a mastermind' Black's sanity hearing is scheduled for Sept. 3 before Judge Donald Johnson."The sanity issue has been raised, not sure if the commission has been selected or picked, but I anticipate that one will be," District Attorney Hillar Moore said. "That will determine his mental condition at the time of the offense and currently to assist counsel."East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux condemned the suspect after his arrest in June."This was a deliberate and cowardly attack on an officer — one of our community's protectors — and it strikes at the very heart of public safety," Gautreaux said in part.Like Blaze News? MAGA meets the machine: Trump goes all in on AI

MAGA meets the machine: Trump goes all in on AI

The technology once confined to science fiction has now become reality, and its impact will be revolutionary. When artificial intelligence first broke through, many MAGA supporters reacted with suspicion. They saw it as another weapon for woke elites — a way to erase inconvenient facts and reshape public opinion, potentially with government support.President Donald Trump acted to block that threat. His recent executive order directs the federal government to contract only with AI companies that “prioritize truthfulness and ideological neutrality.”A MAGA-aligned council of AI policy experts will make the next golden age of American exceptionalism possible. That’s a strong start, but MAGA weakens itself if it treats AI solely as a threat. I learned that firsthand, working in the field before most people even knew what AI was. It’s coming whether we like it or not.Meanwhile, other nations — including enemies such as China — have committed to developing AI. If they reach artificial superintelligence first, the consequences could be catastrophic. Our technologists understand the stakes. America must lead in this arena, not trail behind.Winning over MAGADespite what’s at stake, MAGA has a dearth of people who support or even understand AI — at least, until recently, when President Trump delivered remarks at the “Winning the AI Race” summit hosted by the "All-In" podcast at the Hill and Valley Forum. That change is monumental. Imagine a few years ago, when an AI bot put you in TikTok prison for violating the site’s “terms of service” — as I was — and someone told you that a re-elected Donald Trump would participate in an AI summit with the big Silicon Valley companies and MAGA-aligned leaders. That’s why people like James Burnham are key to bridging the gap between the Silicon Valley and the MAGA base.Burnham bridging the gapAt the summit, I met with Burnham, a former senior lawyer at the Department of Government Efficiency and now head of the AI Innovation Council, to talk about MAGA’s role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence. He may share the name of the author of “Suicide of the West” — a man often called the intellectual godfather of neoreaction and one of the first practitioners of psychological warfare — but the resemblance ends there. This Burnham is an unapologetic optimist, a happy warrior, and an original MAGA activist determined to unite the movement’s best minds with the tech right. His goal: Mend fences and help define AI policy for the years ahead.“I was there when Trump went down the golden escalator,” Burnham told me. “My hope is that I can help bridge the gap between true MAGA and the tech right.”Some might see him as an unlikely figure for the role, given that his enthusiasm for AI matches that of Silicon Valley’s most bullish innovators. But for Burnham, advancing American AI is more than a defensive measure against hostile nations. It’s an opportunity to create America’s next golden age.As he told the New York Post: “Artificial intelligence is a revolutionary technology with the potential to make the United States wealthier and greater than it has ever been.”The AI we deserveBurnham’s perspective is not exactly shared by much of MAGA — and understandably so. After all, as recently as last year, we were terrified that woke tech companies would use AI to clamp down on our speech. Having had that experience, our instinct might be to try to kill the technology in its crib.RELATED: The AI takeover isn’t coming — it’s already here sankai via iStock/Getty ImagesBut that’s simply not realistic — and not just because China will develop AI without us. The Silicon Valley’s left will then seize the mantle of the future. We can’t allow that to happen, not least of all because the left doesn’t deserve that kind of credit. All leftists want out of AI is the world’s smartest and most vigilant woke hall monitor.America can — and must — do better than that. But if we’re going to do better, we need the tech world to be willing to talk to us. That’s why people like Burnham are so critical. You win more flies with honey than with vinegar — just ask AIs themselves.Unlike AI, however, a MAGA-aligned council of AI policy experts won’t just flatter the people it engages with. It will make the next golden age of American exceptionalism possible.
