White House Releases MRI Results From Trump’s Heart And Stomach Scans

The White House released medical results for President Donald Trump on Monday that showed “perfectly normal” scans of the president’s heart and stomach. Trump, who turned 79 in June, underwent MRIs as part of his physical exam in October, and promised reporters on Sunday that he would release the results after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz questioned the president’s health and called on him to make the MRI results public. During the Monday afternoon White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt read from a statement prepared by Trump’s doctor, Sean Barbabella. “As part of President Donald J. Trump’s comprehensive executive physical, advanced imaging was performed because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health,” Barbabella wrote. “The purpose of this imaging is preventative: to identify issues early, confirm overall health, and ensure he maintains long-term vitality and function.” Barbabella said that Trump’s cardiovascular and abdominal imaging were “perfectly normal,” adding that the president remains in “perfect health.” NEW: White House releases President Trump’s MRI results: “This level of detailed assessment is standard for an executive physical at President Trump’s age and confirms that he remains in excellent overall health.” pic.twitter.com/nhOlYr6hzD — Mary Margaret Olohan (@MaryMargOlohan) December 1, 2025 Trump’s critics have questioned his health throughout his second term, pushing rumors that he was dealing with major health issues, and some people even speculated that Trump had died in September. Trump’s health was brought into question again on Sunday by Walz. Trump ripped Walz in a Thanksgiving Day message, calling the governor “seriously retarded” and arguing that “hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over” Minnesota. Walz said on Sunday that Trump is “fading physically,” adding that his behavior is “not normal” and “not healthy.” Trump responded to Walz’s comments on Sunday and said that he had no issue releasing the MRI results. “If you want to have it released, I’ll release it,” Trump told reporters. “It was just an MRI. What part of the body? It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.” The president, who is approaching his 80th birthday, has maintained an intense schedule throughout his second term and remains in “excellent” condition, according to his doctor. In July, however, Trump was diagnosed with “chronic venous insufficiency” in his legs, which causes his legs to swell. Barbabella said Trump’s “chronic venous insufficiency” is a “benign, common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70.”

‘Prayers Are Working’: Hero National Guardsmen Responsive After DC Attack

The heroic National Guard soldier who survived the brutal shooting on Wednesday by a crazed Afghan man in Washington, D.C., is now responsive to the nurses treating him, West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey announced Monday. While West Virginia National Guardsman Andrew Wolfe, 24, “remains in serious condition,” he’s showing signs of movement and awareness, Morrisey said during a press conference. “We were told that Andrew was asked if he could hear, the nurse who asked the question to give a thumbs up, and he did respond. We were told that he also wiggled his toes. So, we take that as a positive sign,” Morrisey said. “Melody, the mom has been so positive a force, and she’s been asking people across the country to pray for her son, and those prayers are working,” he added. Both soldiers “were sworn in less than 24 hours before they were shot on the street in Washington,” United States Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro revealed during a press conference Thursday morning. “They were uniformed members of the West Virginia National Guard, and they were in D.C. to keep D.C. safe pursuant to President Trump’s executive order to make DC safe and beautiful,” Pirro said. “They answered the call, they took the charge, they volunteered, they put their lives on the line for people they don’t even know, and that unfortunately is becoming a reality more and more for the members of law enforcement,” she said. The suspect, Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, entered the U.S. in 2021 as part of President Joe Biden’s “Operation Allies Welcome,” the Department of Homeland Security told The Daily Wire late Wednesday. The program brought 77,000 Afghan nationals into the country during the botched U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. He was granted asylum in April, according to CBS News. After Beckstrom succumbed to her injuries, federal prosecutors upgraded charges against Lakanwal to first-degree murder, which could result in the death penalty. President Donald Trump on Wednesday blamed the Biden administration for allowing the alleged shooter into the country. “This attack underscores the single greatest national security threat facing our nation. The last administration let in 20 million unknown and unvetted foreigners from all over the world,” Trump said. Trump has also responded by “halting” asylum decisions and stopping the issuance of visas to Afghans.

Thanksgiving Arrests: Here Are Some Illegals Americans Can Be Thankful Are Off The Streets

Americans can be thankful to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for continuing to arrest illegal aliens with serious criminal records over the Thanksgiving weekend, the Trump administration said Monday. Arrests on Saturday and Sunday included illegals who have murder, sex crimes against children, burglary, and assault convictions, the Department of Homeland Security told The Daily Wire. The arrests come as legacy media outlets have asserted that the number of “non-criminal” ICE detainees has “surged” under Trump and that “immigrants with no criminal record” are the most common currently in federal custody. “While Americans enjoyed a long holiday weekend with their families and friends, ICE law enforcement was hard at work arresting rapists, child sex abusers, and murderers,” a DHS spokesman told The Daily Wire. “Every American should be grateful to our law enforcement officers for putting their lives on the line each and every day to remove the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens.” The spokesman added that over 70% of illegals arrested by ICE have either been charged or convicted of a crime. “Despite what the media and sanctuary politicians claim, 70% of ICE arrests are of criminal illegal aliens convicted or charged with a crime in the U.S.,” the spokesman said. According to DHS, those arrested over the weekend included: Mario Ynfante-Querol, an illegal alien from Cuba convicted in Wyoming, Michigan, of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct on a victim between 13 and 15 Wilson Gonzalez-Bravo, an illegal alien from Mexico convicted of indecent liberties with a child in Chatham County, North Carolina Balbir Singh, an illegal alien from India convicted of murder in Los Angeles, California Jose Antonio Reyes-Morales, an illegal alien from Mexico convicted of reckless death by auto or vessel (vehicular homicide) in Union County, New Jersey Phomma Phommachak, an illegal alien from Laos convicted of aggravated rape in Nashville, Tennessee Serafin Abelino-Medel, an illegal alien from Mexico convicted of inflicting corporal punishment on spouse, assault with a deadly weapon, and threatening crime with intent to terrorize in Santa Ana, California Edwin Rafael Marcano-Marquez, an illegal alien from Venezuela convicted of fourth-degree assault in Washington County, Oregon Genaro Diaz-Ruiz, an illegal alien from Mexico convicted of aggravated assault-family-strongarm in Wilson County, Tennessee Franklin Urquiola-Serrano, an illegal alien from Venezuela convicted of assault causing bodily injury to a family member in Georgetown, Texas Manuel Leonel Palma-Hernandez, an illegal alien from Guatemala convicted of aggravated arson — purposely destroyed structure in Trenton, New Jersey Cuello Garcia-Alliant, an illegal alien from Cuba convicted of assault and cocaine possession in Miami-Dade County, Florida Graviel Lopez-Castillo, an illegal alien from Mexico convicted of possession with intent to deliver cocaine in New Castle County, Delaware Svetlana Tillett, an illegal alien from Russia convicted of felony embezzlement in Dare County, North Carolina Elmer Amilcar Lopez-Jimenez, an illegal alien from Guatemala convicted of first-degree burglary in Carson, California Gregory Ricordo Davidson, an illegal alien from Jamaica, convicted of burglary in New York, New York Last week, President Donald Trump announced that he would crack down on migration into the United States, saying that he would put a pause on asylum claims from countries like Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.

NYT Humiliated: Leavitt Dismantles Fake News Narrative On Trump’s Health

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt embarrassed the New York Times on Monday after it published a story questioning President Trump’s health and fitness for the job. A reporter asked, “The White House today launched a fake news portal. What is your objective with that, ultimately, and are you going to name the news networks, and are you also going to name correspondents?” “Yes, we are,” Leavitt answered. “I’m glad you noticed. Much to the dismay of some of your colleagues in the room, and I think it goes to our original promise on day one to hold the media accountable, because unfortunately, and we deal with this all day, every day around here, there are so many fake stories that are unfortunately written that have inaccurate characterizations of meetings that took place, and it’s all based on anonymous sourcing.” “The standard for journalism unfortunately has dropped to such a historic low in this country, and again, we deal with it every day, where you can have an anonymous source who has no idea of what they’re talking about, zero credibility, call up a reporter in Washington and say, ‘Hey, I heard this,’ and the next thing you know, it’s on the front page of The New York Times,” she continued. She then took the opportunity to lacerate the Times, saying, “I will point out one fake news story over the weekend before I let you all go, from The New York Times, that took about one-third of the president’s daily calendar and his daily schedule and said that he’s doing less than he did in his first term, or he may not be fit for the job.” Right now, DailyWire+ annual memberships are fifty percent off during our Black Friday sale. Join now at dailywire.com/blackfriday. Holding up a copy of the Times article, she asserted, “That is unequivocally false, and it’s deeply unfortunate that the story was written by the same outlet and the same reporter who wrote this: Biden is ‘Doing 100% Fine’ After Tripping While Boarding Air Force One.” “Oh!” she exclaimed in mock horror. “Same outlet, same reporter who wrote that President Trump is not fit for the job. Are you kidding me? You all see him almost every single day. He is the most accessible president in history. He is taking meetings around the clock.” “Another one: Biden Declared ‘Healthy’ and ‘Vigorous’ After His First Presidential Physical,” she pointed out, holding up the second article. “Hmm,” she mused. “I don’t see headlines too often about this president. Again: same reporter, same outlet who wrote falsely over the weekend that President Trump is not fit for the job.”

Star Wars: The Acolyte Creator Says She “Was Not Surprised” by the Show’s Cancellation

News Star Wars Star Wars: The Acolyte Creator Says She “Was Not Surprised” by the Show’s Cancellation Leslye Headland saw the writing on the wall with The Acolyte, though the experience left her with some thoughts about the future of Star Wars. By Matthew Byrd | Published on December 1, 2025 Photo: Disney Comment 0 Share New Share Photo: Disney Though it’s been a strange stretch for Star Wars projects in terms of recognition and overall success (Andor excluded), The Acolyte remains one of the more unusual entries in this era of the franchise. Not only was the show set many of years before most other Star Wars shows and films (a setting that has only been explored in other mediums and the extended universe), but the series received a public and rather unceremonious cancellation. While hardly an unusual move in the grand scheme of television, The Acolyte became the first Star Wars series to receive an early and public cancellation notice. Yet, The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland says she wasn’t really that shocked by the decision. “I was not surprised by it,” said Headland in an interview with The Wrap. “I think I was surprised at the swiftness of it and the publicness of it. I was surprised by how it was handled. But once I was getting particular phone calls about the reaction and the criticism and the viewership, I felt like ‘OK, the writing’s on the wall for sure.’” Regarding the show’s ratings, Headland says that the exact numbers were a bit “muddled” but that she came to understand The Acolyte was being compared to the success of other Star Wars properties as well as other shows airing at the same time. So while the series popped up on the ratings charts a few times and seemed to be gaining some momentum in that respect, it just never seemed to be quite enough. As for the reactions and criticisms, Headland says that she knew the series was going to be a big risk in several ways and that “any gripes creatively with the show are completely valid.” However, she did suggest that the criticisms of the show started to take on a life of their own at some point and seemed to largely exist to fuel the creator economy. “I also was like, ‘I know who these guys are.’ You don’t have to tell me who’s talking about it or how bad it is online, I know exactly who they are,” says Headland regarding Star Wars’ content creator community. “I supported them on Patreon. There are some of them that I respect, and there are some of them that I think are absolutely snake oil salesmen, just opportunists. Then, of course, there are the fascists and racists. So it runs the gamut.” Headland goes on to elaborate on the ways she respects those content creators while also expressing some concerns about their influence and power. She even goes so far as to say that they may not only determine the future of Star Wars as a franchise but become bigger than the actual Star Wars films and series. “It made me start to think, rather than these fans are toxic, or this thing is being mean to me, it made me think more that the content being made about Star Wars will ultimately be more culturally impactful than the actual Star Wars,” Headland suggests. “I believe we’re headed into that space. Those IPs will continue to make money, but I don’t know how much they will affect the next generation as much as the content that is being created around those events, IP films and television shows.” That’s a fascinating, if slightly worrying, observation from a creator who knows just how difficult it can be to carve a new path through the Star Wars franchise. The Acolyte certainly had some issues, but it was also a collection of fascinating concepts that were met with disproportionately vitriolic reactions. It is now also one of those shows that could have perhaps grown into something more interesting but will never get the chance to do so. ‘No Critical Thinking’: Parents Sound Alarm as Tech Begins to ‘Replace the Teacher’

Parents are growing increasingly concerned about the prevalence of technology in classrooms, and the negative side effects that change is fueling among children nationwide. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic pushed schools to remote learning, many have only grown increasingly reliant on technology, shifting assignments into digital forms and handing every student a computer or tablet to aid their education in the classroom. But after seeing their kids become angrier, less sociable, and less educated, parents are asking where the teachers have gone. “What are we doing with an iPad all day, for eight hours a day in our kids’ hands?” Patricia McCoy, a mother of four in Wyoming, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Honestly, it’s disturbing. They give your kids worksheets on the iPad. There’s no actual critical thinking happening because they’re given apps to replace the teachers.” Even when parents ask for additional help for their struggling children, the solution at some schools always comes back to more technology. “If your kid is struggling in math, instead of giving them tutoring, they’re going to recommend to you that your child use this app on their iPad to help teach them how to do this math,” McCoy continued. “But that app doesn’t teach them how to do the math. They enter the problem and it gives them the solution all written out and worked out, so there’s no critical thinking being done. The answer is being given to them. They have ChatGPT at the ready, and other things similar to ChatGPT, which, again, does all the thinking for them. And all they have to do is show up, log into the iPad, get the answers from one app, put it into another app and get the grade.” This has some parents wondering where the teachers have gone and whether they are teaching their students at all. “They Don’t Want to Teach” “COVID did create a lot of this, and it made it a lot easier for some of the teachers now to just place these kids in front of a screen,” Mike Maldonado, a California father of five, told the DCNF. “And it makes it easier for some of these teachers because they don’t want to teach. They’re just there for a job.” “We can’t ignore the fact that all this stuff makes it easier on the teacher, which actually, I think produces a worse result,” Jaime Brennan, member of the Frederick County Board of Education who spoke on behalf of herself and not the board, told the DCNF. “When a teacher can go online and make up an assignment using AI, now they haven’t thought. Now they’re not using their brainpower, and it’s like a trickle-down effect. We’ve already introduced screens and technology to the level that as humans, I don’t think we were designed to use, and we haven’t adapted to it very well.” Critically, Brennan said, the use of AI has prevented students from developing automaticity, the skill of memorizing basic solutions, such as simple addition, to the point that you do not even think about it, which is a foundational skill students carry on throughout their education and adult life. McCoy told the DCNF that the digital learning environment has left her youngest son academically “two to three years behind” his siblings, who did not go through this new screen-based school system. “He is drastically farther behind academically,” McCoy said. “He does what he needs to to pass, but intellectually and academically, he is years behind his two brothers and his sister at this age, and that is sad and heartbreaking as a mother to know that I probably failed my child because I went along with what the school said was going to help them.” Despite being “years behind,” McCoy’s son is on track to graduate on time. “We graduate kids who have to go to community college and take remedial math,” Brennan mentioned. “Our kids leave 12th grade and they go to 13th grade. So we’re putting out kids that are not ready to operate in the regular world.” Possessed by the Screen Not only is she worried about his education, the concerned mom has seen a noticeable shift in her son’s mood as he is forced to rely on more and more screen time. “I tried to take my son’s phone away one time, and it looked like a demon was looking back at me. My son was not looking at me,” McCoy recalled. “His eyes were completely black and cold. It was like he was a totally other person, like a drug addict, and you’re taking their drug from them. And he was 15 at the time.” Without his phone, McCoy said her son was a new person. “That week, he was a totally different person. He wasn’t overly tired and drowsy all day. He was actually interacting with the family and spending time with us. Instead of being shut down and closed off in his room, he was playing with our dogs more,” McCoy said.  Maldonado thinks these behavioral issues stem partly from the lack of human interaction children experience in increasingly screen-dependent classrooms. “Part of the problem is that they’ve lost a lot of the interaction,” Maldonado said. “This is why some of these kids I think act out, because they don’t want to listen to the teacher. There has to be that communication between two people, two humans, and not a screen where they can’t really interact and get the tone, the voice inflection of a response.” “That is a major issue,” Maldonado continued. “Without social skills, how do you function in society? And we see it all the time. Social skills are definitely learned, it’s a trait that you pick up from interacting with people when you’re young. And that’s the big thing, people don’t realize that if there’s no interaction, that person is going to be withdrawn, not just from the classroom, but from the home and from society.” The issue is especially apparent in children who were younger during the COVID year, Maldonado said. The so-called COVID babies are typically “the ones who you can see have the majority of the behavioral issues.” “It is hard to get some of these kids to actually look you in the eye and make eye contact. They don’t know human interaction,” Brennan concurred, adding that students today are not even dating as much as they used to. “I’m really concerned where that’s going to lead, and what our kids are going to be like. We’re already seeing negative impacts of kind of this disintegration, people are waiting till later to getting married. They’re not getting married.” The Price America Is Paying Meanwhile, as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) among youth increases, more data and stories are coming out revealing the tool often exposes children to inappropriate content, damages the development of critical thinking skills, and at times, drives kids to suicide by explicitly coaching them to do so. Brain scans from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) revealed that brain engagement was severely diminished under participants who used AI compared to those who used a traditional search engine, and memory recall following assignments completed with AI tanked. Interestingly, schools that struggle with budget concerns and often fail to see promised districtwide staff raises somehow find funds to buy brand-new devices for every student—even when they already had slightly older, but still functional devices. “Most of [the money goes] to administration and fees and other things that have nothing to do with the education of our kids, or they spend it on these expensive iPads and technology that shouldn’t even be in the classrooms, and then they go to the state and say, ‘You’re not giving us enough money. We need more money,’” McCoy told the DCNF. “Well, we keep throwing money at the problem, but the problem doesn’t get better or go away. It gets worse every year. So clearly, money isn’t solving the issue on why our kids can’t read, write and do math.” “Stop spending the money on the iPads and put that money back in the classrooms instead,” McCoy continued. “Give it to the teachers.” While Tina Descovich, co-founder and CEO of parental advocacy group Moms for Liberty, mirrors the concerns of many parents, she also told the DCNF there could be a place for technology in the classroom. “I think they have to be used in a very responsible fashion,” Descovich said. “There’s so many wonderful teachers that would like to use AI in a way to help enhance their skills and teach their children better.” Moms for Liberty signed a pledge with the White House in September to help foster innovation and interest in AI with America’s youth. Brennan remains concerned that technology in the classroom prevents kids from thinking independently and may harm future skill building rather than facilitate an interest or expertise in technology. “Are you trying to keep pace with the kids who are learning to use the technology, or are you trying to create the kids who are going to develop the technology? Because those are two different things,” Brennan said. “So if we’re just teaching our kids to be technology consumers, then sure, the easy way out is to do everything on the technology. If you’re trying to keep teach kids to be the technology developers, they need to learn to think and process away from the technology. They need to have other skills that are not technology based.” Parents Still Have Power For parents concerned about the technological takeover of their children’s classrooms who feel like their schools aren’t listening to them, Descovich said that along with helping their kids at home when possible, parents should “rally with likeminded parents.” “Start educating your community,” Descovich said. “I think when parents really understand what’s happening and what the concerns are and what the risks are, they will want to take action. And when you have enough parents showing up at school board meetings and speaking about an issue we have, as we know, you definitely can make an impact, and they will listen.” Originally published by the Daily Caller News Foundation The post ‘No Critical Thinking’: Parents Sound Alarm as Tech Begins to ‘Replace the Teacher’ appeared first on The Daily Signal.
