“Better Be Dinner With Mr. Wallen Himself” – Fans Are Upset About The “Outrageous” Prices For Morgan Wallen ‘I’m The Problem Tour’ Tickets
If you want to see Morgan Wallen in 2025... it's gonna cost you.
Last week, the country superstar announced the name of his fourth studio album, which will be called I’m The Problem, in addition to announced a subsequent stadium tour of the same name. The tour will kick off on June 20th at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, and hit 19 stadiums across the country, and in Canada, including Seattle, Washington; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Toronto, Ontario and more.
Each stop will include a rotating group of great openers in Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley, Koe Wetzel, Gavin Adcock, Thomas Rhett, Corey Kent, and Anne Wilson.
We knew it was going to be a hot ticket, and as many of us have probably experienced firsthand, buying concert tickets in this day and age can be a big expense, especially if it's someone of Morgan's caliber, especially at a stadium... but I don't think that means it should cost normal, every day fans their monthly rent just to see an artist they love, even if they're good seats.
Of course, with Ticketmaster involved, it's become a whole other beast, and this is an ongoing issue that affects fans and artists from genres across the spectrum.
Well, they struck again, because earlier this week, many of the presale tickets for Morgan's tour went on sale, and let's just say, they were very, very pricey. Many fans sounded off on TikTok, with some of the tickets costing in the thousands... and no, those all of those weren't resale, which would still be outrageous in any case.
Here's what some had to say:
@sarahmaycurd This better be a one a one dinner with Mr Wallen himself #morganwallen #morganwallenconcert #morganwallentiktok ♬ original sound - Sarah May✨Your Concert Bestie
@marie8705Morgan wallen pre-sale tickets of what is left in Miami.♬ original sound - Marie
@kersttt14 Wait I may be wrong but aren’t pre-sale tickets supposed to be cheaper?? #morganwallen #morganwallenpresale #lumenfield #seattlewa #fyp #fypシ #concerts #concerttickets ♬ original sound - Kerst
@realpackerfansknow Love ya Morgan but ticket prices are straight up silly #fyp#morganwallen#ticketmaster#countrymusic#greenscreen ♬ Love Somebody Morgan Wallen - your_local_grandpa_truck
On those videos, and others you can find on TikTok, fans in the comments section agreed that the tickets were simply way too expensive:
"Waited two hours, looked and clicked out."
"Seattle show was $189-$1500 after tax and fees."
"Prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Nope!"
"$400 for upper bowl with $80 charge per ticket. I jumped out so quick."
"I waited in queue for over 2 hrs and got 4 tickets for just over $1400."
"I couldn’t find any for less than $525 in Ca!"
"It was insane. I saw him last year in Tacoma for $130 for section 100. And the year before that I saw him for $50. $400-500 for the 100 section is INSANE. In this economy SIR?!?!"
"Same I got Friday night Seattle nose bleed tickets so I could take my two teen daughters and spent 780$ for f***ing nosebleeds!"
"When I got in the 300 level was like almost $300. I’ve seen concerts in the 300 level and it ruined my experience so I was bummed but was like I can’t justify it."
"About to pay 800 for two tickets"
"The fees were insane. In Arizona I spent $384 in just fees for two tickets."
"Go to concerts all the time. Got through to Morgan and pit tickets were over $1,000 w/a disclaimer that said prices were set by the tour. Ummm I left did not buy."
"I remember back in 2020 I paid $45 to see Morgan Wallen front row."
"I paid $770 for 3 in section 123??"
"Yea I paid $392 for 2 seats high up but it’s okayyyy stress bout it later lol"
"Got tickets for Houston. $1500 for 3 tickets in section 108 . But I didn’t want to wait for later and stress. But it’s Morgan Wallen, so to me he’s worth it. I can’t wait to see him again."
"Cries in $1,800 later for two first-level tickets lol. Worth it!"
"Lol $800+ for 4 tix in the top row of the top section is crazy. I couldn’t do it"
"Mine was 260 in the 100s section front row"
"Omg yes and the fees are ridiculous!! 64 in fulfillment fees on top of an $18 tax is ridiculous."
"You're not alone. I can't spend rent on concert tickets. Insanity."
"As much as I’d love to see him a second time I can’t justify theses prices "
"I’m still paying off last years tour tickets lol"
"$750 for pit is actually not bad considering last year for Charlotte they were over$1000... still I agree the prices are crazy."
Some didn't think they were too unreasonable, though:
"These prices aren’t bad
"I’m not shocked by these prices.. it’s freakin MORGAN WALLEN ?"
"$150 isn’t even bad lol."
If you can manage to get there early, and be ready when the general public tickets go on-sale today in about an hour, you might be able to score some in the $150 (ish) range, but there's certainly no guarantee on prices.
It sucks that concerts and buying tickets have become this way, but it's a problem in the entire music industry, not just with Morgan, though like I said, these will be some of the hottest tickets in town this summer with only exacerbates the pricing issues.
Morgan released the title track "I'm The Problem" today, too, which you can listen to here:
