Trump personally rewriting tonight's acceptance speech after assassination attempt

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Former President Donald Trump is putting the final touches on his acceptance speech for the final night of the Republican National Convention. Trump started a complete rewrite of the speech after he was shot during Saturday's assassination attempt. An RNC official told reporters Thursday morning Trump will be much more personal and will focus on unifying not just the GOP but the country at large.Trump has credited God for helping to save his life as he turned his head right before suspected gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks fired his rifle, with the first bullet piercing the top of Trump's right ear. Commentators watching the RNC have noted it appears Trump is humbled by the near-death experience.Tonight's speakers include Tucker Carlson, Hulk Hogan, and Dana White. White will speak before Trump takes the stage.Security concerns at the RNC, while heightened, are not top of mind for the attendees as there are dozens of law enforcement agencies from around the country who are on the ground to prevent anything serious from taking place.U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle did meet with Trump at the RNC on Wednesday. While Cheatle was inside the Fiserv Forum, she was peppered with questions by members of Congress on the security failures of Saturday's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. While at first acknowledging the agency failed, Cheatle did not provide more details and promised she would be providing answers at a later date.Cheatle then left and refused to answer any further questions. — (@) One of the most shocking revelations about the assassination attempt is that the Secret Service reportedly was aware Crooks was up on the unsecured roof ten minutes prior to Trump taking the stage.Like Blaze News? Secret Service scandal: MORE shocking security failures exposed by expert

In less than a week, analysis of the near-assassination of Donald Trump has exposed a number of failures on the part of the Secret Service team that was assigned to secure the rally and protect the former president from danger. Glenn Beck’s head researcher and writer Jason Buttrill, who’s also a former Department of Defense intelligence analyst and one who’s “[worked] side by side with the Secret Service,” sheds light on the glaring holes in the failed protective operation. Secret Service SCANDAL: Shocking Security Failures EXPOSED by Expert youtu.be “It should be almost impossible to pull off what happened on Saturday,” Jason tells Glenn. Per standard protocol, “Secret Service [goes] out weeks in advance” in order to “set up a multi-tiered security plan.” Part of that plan involves fully vetting the first three tiers of people in front of where the protectee stands. “They also identify further out threats,” says Jason. “They identify ... potential sniper positions going all the way to a thousand yards.” Thomas Matthew Crooks fired, however, from “130 yards” out – a position Jason assures “would have been identified” prior to the rally. Further, for each potential sniper position, “They would have local law enforcement guarding those areas to make sure no one would gain access.” “There’s multiple questions here that need to be asked,” says Jason. “Knowing this entire complex plan, did the Secret Service designate those sniper positions?” Assuming they did secure potential sniper positions, “Did law enforcement adequately man those positions?” To that question, Jason says, “It does not appear so on the videos that we've seen,” adding that it was “tailgaters” who spotted the shooter and informed law enforcement of his whereabouts. Glenn then brings up the fact that the Secret Service team in charge at the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally has repeatedly stated that the roof from where the shooter fired “wasn't part of the secure perimeter.” “To say as an excuse that it was outside the secured perimeter is absolutely ridiculous,” says Jason, adding that he’s personally witnessed the extreme lengths Secret Service will go to to ensure protection. But there’s one more question that begs answering — a question Jason says is “the scariest.” “Was there help given to the shooter?” Jason isn’t the first to ask this question. Dallas Alexander, the world record holder for the longest confirmed sniper kill, has actually openly stated his belief that this was an “inside job.” “Do you believe that is a realistic possibility?” Glenn asks Jason. Dad awarded full custody of son whose mother tries to raise him 'non-binary' celebrates major victory with Allie Beth Stuckey

A California man professes to be "ecstatic" after he was awarded full custody of his son, Sawyer, whose mother has attempted to raise him as "non-binary." In his first interview since being granted full custody, the proud dad sits down with BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey to share the details of his tumultuous journey and to give encouragement to others in a similar situation.Several years ago, Harrison Tinsley had a brief relationship with a woman in the Bay Area. Soon after meeting, the two conceived a child together, a boy named Sawyer. However, the boy's mother, who reportedly has serious mental health diagnoses, quickly detached herself from Tinsley. In fact, Tinsley did not meet his son until the boy was more than a year old.Shockingly, she may have conscripted Sawyer into engaging in the fight with her father, as Sawyer apparently struck his grandfather in the face with a plastic object. Sawyer told Tinsley he had done so at his mother's request.Tinsley spent the first several years of Sawyer's life fighting to gain full custody of his son, even as the courts stubbornly kept custody evenly split between Sawyer's two parents. Last fall, Tinsley shared with Stuckey his heartbreaking frustration as he endured having just "half-custody" of Sawyer.Little did Tinsley know that his prospects would soon change.Last week, less than a year since his first interview with Stuckey, Tinsley was awarded fully custody of Sawyer, who is now 4 and a half. On Thursday's episode of "Relatable," Tinsley speaks with Stuckey once again to celebrate this major victory."It's, like, an absolute miracle, dream come true," Tinsley said.Tinsley went on to explain that he has "full physical custody," which means Sawyer lives with Tinsley, while Sawyer's mother has "a couple of visits per week." Though future legal battles remain a very real possibility, Tinsley is thrilled that he gets to have Sawyer full-time while Sawyer maintains a relationship with his mother."As far as legal custody goes, we essentially have to discuss things," Tinsley explained. "But at the end of the day, if we don't agree, I have the final say."Stuckey expressed admiration for Tinsley's unwavering devotion to his son. "It's a big sacrifice," she noted. "It took you a lot of time, a lot of effort, a lot of financial resources, and you did it because your son was worth it to you."While Tinsley has done his best to provide a stable, healthy environment for his son, Sawyer's mother's mental health struggles seem to have continued. Not only does she still use they/them pronouns in reference to Sawyer, but she has even had several arrests, including after a physical altercation with her father. Shockingly, she may have conscripted Sawyer into engaging in that fight, as Sawyer apparently struck his grandfather in the face with a plastic object. Sawyer told Tinsley he had done so at his mother's request, though she denied that. "The mother claims that he did it just in her honor without her saying anything," Tinsley recalled to Stuckey. "I tend to believe Sawyer."Tinsley and Stuckey also discussed the far-left political climate of the Bay Area and California in general. Tinsley has recently become an advocate for parental rights in his state even as LGBTQ radicals recently passed legislation allowing schools to keep children's so-called gender transitions a secret.Tinsley called Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom "a horrible person" and a bad leader, but he claimed that those at the local level mainly work for the best interest of children, regardless of politics. "CPS in San Francisco ... should be commended," Tinsley said. "They did their job, politics aside. ... They put all that aside and did their job and did what's best for Sawyer."Tinsley also wanted to encourage others facing a similar custody or other legal battle. "Don't give up, no matter what. No matter how hard it feels, no matter how discouraged you feel," he insisted. "You got to keep going and find a way to keep moving forward. That's what life's about. It's always darkest just before the dawn.""You never know what will happen. Just do everything you can. And even if you were to fail, you'll feel much better about having tried so hard than if you didn't."The entire interview with Tinsley will be aired on YouTube and BlazeTV on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. ET. 'God was with me': Trump says surviving assassination attempt changed his attitude and 'viewpoint about life'

Former President Donald Trump talked about the assassination attempt on his life and said the experience has changed his attitude and "viewpoint about life." The former president made the comments before an audience at a private event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the Republican National Convention is being held. He was introducing a documentary about himself. 'That's why they call it close call!'"This has been our best campaign, and then I got shot!" said Trump at the event. "How does that happen?" he asked while the audience chanted, "Fight, fight, fight!" "How does that happen? But I got lucky, God was with me," he added. "That's why they call it close call! That was an amazing, horrible thing, an amazing thing. In many ways it changes your attitude, your viewpoint on life. And honestly I think you appreciate God even more, I really do, because something happened, not that it was pleasant," Trump continued. "It wasn't like it was a complete miss," he added. "But it was pretty terrible that that can happen." PBS News obtained the video from someone at the event and published it on PBS' social media account. Trump is scheduled to give the keynote address at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, later on Thursday. He has said that the shooting has made him change his speech in order to meet the moment. “This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together. The speech will be a lot different, a lot different than it would’ve been two days ago,” Trump said in a separate interview. The Secret Service has been heavily criticized for the failure in providing security at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where the former president was nearly assassinated. Like Blaze News?
