Prayers for former President Donald Trump came rushing in from Republican officials after he appeared to be shot at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The sound of shots rang out as Trump grabbed around his neck area and he quickly dropped to the ground as he was instantly swarmed by Secret Service agents. After he got up, he raised his fist and signaled to the crowd to “fight” as the Secret Service rushed him off stage. The Secret Service put out a statement saying that an “incident” had occurred at the rally but did not give any details about a shooter. “An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available,” the Secret Service said in a statement. As the news broke, Republican senators and governors offered their prayers for the former president who left the stage with a bloodied face. “Kelly and I are praying for President Trump and all the attendees of the campaign rally today in Pennsylvania, and we send our gratitude to the law enforcement who responded at the scene,” House Speaker Mike Johnson said. “I have been briefed by law enforcement and am continuing to monitor the developments. Former President Donald Trump raised his fist on Saturday as he had blood running down the side of his face after apparently being shot at a political rally in Pennsylvania. As the sound of shots rang out, Trump grabbed near his ear and ducked as he was swarmed by Secret Service agents and the crowd gasped in shock at what was unfolding.
