Biden Campaigns on Charlottesville, and a Sham Professorship

Joe Biden was in Michigan trying to prove he’s fit. Biden falsely claimed he was a full professor at the University of Pennsylvania. He also told the continually debunked Charlottesville lie again. Even CNN debunked it. It never matters how often it’s debunked. It was even in his opening campaign video, and he repeats it […] The post Biden Campaigns on Charlottesville, and a Sham Professorship appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Prayers For Trump Pour In After Former President Appears To Get Shot

Prayers for former President Donald Trump came rushing in from Republican officials after he appeared to be shot at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The sound of shots rang out as Trump grabbed around his neck area and he quickly dropped to the ground as he was instantly swarmed by Secret Service agents. After he got up, he raised his fist and signaled to the crowd to “fight” as the Secret Service rushed him off stage. The Secret Service put out a statement saying that an “incident” had occurred at the rally but did not give any details about a shooter. “An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available,” the Secret Service said in a statement. As the news broke, Republican senators and governors offered their prayers for the former president who left the stage with a bloodied face. “Kelly and I are praying for President Trump and all the attendees of the campaign rally today in Pennsylvania, and we send our gratitude to the law enforcement who responded at the scene,” House Speaker Mike Johnson said. “I have been briefed by law enforcement and am continuing to monitor the developments. This horrific act of political violence at a peaceful campaign rally has no place in this country and should be unanimously and forcefully condemned.” “Join me in praying for President Trump and the law enforcement personnel who are tending to him and citizens at the scene,” Tennessee GOP Senator Marsha Blackburn said.  “[Casey] and I are praying for Donald Trump and his family,” Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis said.  “Everyone join me in praying for our President Trump and everyone at that rally. I hope everyone is ok,” Ohio Senator J.D. Vance said.  “Pray for President Trump. And for justice,” Missouri GOP Senator Josh Hawley posted to X. “Maria & I ask Tennesseans to join us in praying for President Trump & his family, & all who were in attendance at today’s rally in Pennsylvania,” said Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee.  “America is praying for President Trump. We will overcome and DEFEAT EVIL! NEVER SURRENDER!” Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz posted on X.  “We all know President Trump is stronger than his enemies. Today he showed it,” North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum said. “God protected President Trump,” Florida Senator Marco Rubio said. Democrats also urged the former president well, saying that they did not support political violence. “We must never accept political violence. The former president, his family, and all attendees at the rally in Butler tonight are in my thoughts, and I am hoping for their health and safety,” said Pennsylvania Democrat Senator Bob Casey. “My thoughts and prayers are with former President Trump. I am thankful for the decisive law enforcement response. America is a democracy. Political violence of any kind is never acceptable,” said House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. “I am horrified by what happened at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania and relieved that former President Trump is safe. Political violence has no place in our country,” said Senator Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. This is a breaking news story; refresh the page for updates.

Trump Stops Secret Service From Carrying Him Off, Raises Fist And Tells Supporters: ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’

Former President Donald Trump raised his fist on Saturday as he had blood running down the side of his face after apparently being shot at a political rally in Pennsylvania. As the sound of shots rang out, Trump grabbed near his ear and ducked as he was swarmed by Secret Service agents and the crowd gasped in shock at what was unfolding. Once Secret Service agents got him up, they were in the process of rushing him off stage when he stopped them so he could deliver a message. “Wait! Wait! Wait!” Trump said to the agents. Then looking at the thousands of supporters who showed up, he raised his fist and shouted: “Fight! Fight! Fight!” Trump survived. God bless this man. pic.twitter.com/3d1hIIILul — Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) July 13, 2024 Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said that Trump was “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.” He said that Trump “thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act.” The U.S. Secret Service said in a statement: “An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania.” “The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe,” the statement continued. “This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available.”

No Biden Statement One Hour After Apparent Trump Assassination Attempt

President Joe Biden waited more than an hour to release a statement on the apparent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, Biden’s opponent in the 2024 presidential election. Trump appeared to be shot at a rally in Pennsylvania and Secret Service agents rushed in to protect him. The former president left the rally with a bloody ear. A spokesperson for Trump said the former president was “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.” Reports from the White House indicated Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were getting briefed about Trump and, more than 90 minutes after the scare, Biden issued a statement on X. “I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania,” Biden said. I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.” I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania.  I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. Jared Moskowitz, urged Biden to address the nation. “President Biden must address the nation,” he said on X. “From the oval. Bring the temperature down. Remind us we are all Americans — Jared Moskowitz (@JaredEMoskowitz) July 13, 2024 Other Democrats put out statements concerning Trump, too, before the White House released one from Biden. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), for instance, released the following statement: “My thoughts and prayers are with former President Trump. I am thankful for the decisive law enforcement response. America is a democracy. Political violence of any kind is never acceptable.” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said in a statement that this was a “horrible moment,” adding that he’s “encouraged to hear President Trump’s team indicate that the former president is doing well.” “An entire nation must speak with one voice today to completely and unequivocally reject all political violence,” Buttigieg said.   “There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy,” former President Barack Obama said on X. “Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt, and use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics.” “Michelle and I are wishing him a quick recovery,” Obama added. Top Democrats And Republicans Show Unified Support For Trump After Assassination Attempt

Top Republicans and Democrats from around the country have released statements supporting former President Donald Trump after he survived an assassination attempt at a political rally over the weekend. “Tonight, all Americans are grateful that President Trump appears to be fine after a despicable attack on a peaceful rally,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said in a statement. “Violence has no place in our politics. We appreciate the swift work of the Secret Service and other law enforcement.” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said that he and his wife “send our gratitude to the law enforcement who responded at the scene.” “I have been briefed by law enforcement and am continuing to monitor the developments,” Johnson added. “This horrific act of political violence at a peaceful campaign rally has no place in this country and should be unanimously and forcefully condemned.” Former President George W. Bush issued a statement: “Laura and I are grateful that President Trump is safe following the cowardly attack on his life. And we commend the men and women of the Secret Service for their speedy response.” The top elected Democrats in Washington, D.C. — except for President Joe Biden — have released statements expressing support for Trump. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said: “I am horrified by what happened at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania and relieved that former President Trump is safe. Political violence has no place in our country.” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) added: “My thoughts and prayers are with former President Trump. I am thankful for the decisive law enforcement response. America is a democracy. Political violence of any kind is never acceptable.”’ Former President Barack Obama released a statement over an hour after the shooting: “There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy. Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt, and use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics.
