White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt opened the James Brady Briefing Room to new media and came down hard on illegal immigration, while also tackling questions about government spending and tariffs in her first White House press briefing of the new Trump administration Tuesday.  She also broke news, announcing that the large number of drones spotted over New Jersey late last year were authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration, after much speculation by lawmakers and the media that the outgoing Biden administration declined to address. “After research and study, the drones that were flying over New Jersey in large numbers were authorized to be flown by the FAA for research and various other reasons,” Leavitt said, noting she was passing this along from the president. “Many of these drones were also hobbyists, recreational and private individuals that enjoy flying drones. In time, it got worse due to curiosity. This was not the enemy.” Wearing a burgundy blazer with a prominent gold cross necklace, the youngest presidential press secretary in history announced the White House will restore access for 440 reporters whose credentials were revoked by the Biden administration. The first questions in the briefing went to reporters in special new-media seats from Axios and Breitbart. “This White House believes strongly in the First Amendment. It’s why our team will work diligently to restore the press passes of the 440 journalists whose passes were wrongly revoked by the previous administration,” Leavitt said. “We are also opening up this briefing room to new-media voices who produce news-related content and whose outlets are not already represented by one of the seats in this room,” the press secretary continued. “We welcome independent journalists, podcasters, social media influencers, and content creators to apply for credentials to cover this White House.”  She promised transparency and honesty with the media—but added the White House will hold the media to the same standard.   “I commit to telling the truth from this podium every single day,” Leavitt said. “I commit to speaking on behalf of the president of the United States. That is my job.”  But, she also asserted that she wouldn’t hesitate to call out the legacy media outlets when coverage of President Donald Trump is not honest. “We know for a fact there have been lies that have been pushed by many legacy media outlets in this country about this president, about his family, and we will not accept that,” she said. “We will call you out when we feel that your reporting is wrong or there is misinformation about this White House.”  Leavitt recapped Trump’s more than 300 executive actions during his first week in office, which included dozens of executive orders and a massive deportation effort. “America will no longer tolerate illegal immigration,” Leavitt said. “And this president expects that every nation on this planet will cooperate with the repatriation of their citizens.”  Leavitt highlighted Trump’s swift action over the weekend, when he directed his team to issue sanctions and tariffs on the Colombian government for initially turning away U.S. military aircraft with Colombian citizens being deported from the U.S. by his administration.  “To foreign nationals who are thinking about trying to illegally enter the United States, think again,” Leavitt said. “Under this president, you will be detained, and you will be deported.”  When asked how many illegal immigrants in the country have a criminal record, Leavitt responded unequivocally. “All of them,” she said. “They illegally broke our nation’s laws, and therefore, they are criminals as far as this administration goes.”  Reporter asks @PressSec how many illegal immigrants in this country have a criminal record.LEAVITT: "All of them. There’s a new sheriff in town, as Fox Business host Charles Payne alluded to when praising President Donald Trump for sticking it to the uppity global elites at the World Economic Forum (WEF). Trump spoke via teleconference at the WEF meeting in Davos, Switzerland January 24 and threw all political candor to the wind and basically said to heck with it. He boldly told the woke elitists that his administration was ending absurd diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) measures in federal agencies, squashing government censorship, asserting U.S. policy of recognizing only two genders (male and female), and axing the Green New Deal and leaving the disastrous Paris Climate Agreement. Trump also directly called out Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan and JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, who were present, over their companies' reported “debanking” of conservatives. Payne likened Trump’s speech to a political nuke being dropped on the world establishment during the January 24 edition of Making Money. “Yesterday, the elite establishment — with the force of a Minuteman [missile] — Trump went after them, right? And he covered — it was like one missile but it covered all the targets like those Minutemen, with precision and power,” Payne stated. Payne concluded that watching Trump’s speech was like watching an explosion from a Minuteman missile affixed with Multiple Independently-targetable Reentry Vehicle (MIRV) capacity. Trump’s blistering rebuke of Moynihan in particular especially supports Payne’s argument given the Biden administration’s Orwellian efforts to extract customer data by colluding with Big Money companies.  The FBI and the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) were both flagged in March 2024 as having multiple meetings with a litany of financial and fintech institutions, including Barclays, U.S. Bank, Charles Schwab, HSBC, Bank of America, PayPal, KeyBank, Standard Chartered, Western Union, Wells Fargo, Citibank, Santander, JPMorgan Chase, and MUFG. The purpose of these meetings were to coordinate strategies for the aforementioned institutions to “voluntarily” share private customer information with federal law enforcement “outside of normal legal processes.” One document shared with financial institutions by federal law enforcement “noted that those Americans who expressed opposition to firearm regulations, open borders, COVID-19 lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and the ‘deep state’ may be potential domestic terrorists,” despite them not having to be suspected of committing any specific crimes. The House report concluded that federal law enforcement used this Stasi-esque line of reasoning to “commandeer” financial institutions to conduct sweeping, Orwellian searches of Americans’ financial data. Payne said Trump’s “tour de force address” knocked the WEF flunkies “down a peg.” The Davos crowd, bristling at anyone outside of their exclusive inner circle criticizing them according to Payne, “had the media wing turn the heat up on President Trump.” Payne referenced an insane cover of the current issue of leftist magazine The Economist, casting Trump as an “imperial” president, which he dismissed as just the expected ramblings of an establishment that’s losing its collective marbles over Trump being back in the White House.  And It’s just a week into Trump’s administration. The propaganda surrounding Trump’s new immigration policies is ramping up, and celebrity Selena Gomez is leading the charge. “I just want to say that I’m so sorry,” Gomez said through tears in a since-deleted selfie video she posted to her social media accounts. “All my people are getting attacked. The children, they don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something, but I can’t.” “I don’t know what to do,” she sobbed, adding, “I’ll try everything, I promise.” Allie Beth Stuckey of “Relatable” thinks Gomez seems confused more than anything else. “I don’t know what she thinks is happening, like Mexicans in general are not just getting deported,” Stuckey says. “Actually, we’re protecting children of this country by protecting our borders, by disincentivizing the sex trafficking that occurs because of the liberal immigration law that has prevailed over the past not only four years but by and large over the past several decades.” And Gomez won’t be the last to leverage what Stuckey has branded “toxic empathy” against well-meaning conservatives by crying on Instagram. “You’re going to see a lot from Christianity Today, you’re going to see a lot from the typical so-called progressive Christians that this is not the way of Jesus, that this is not Christian,” Stuckey continues. “You are going to be manipulated, you are going to be gaslit, and you are going to be told that you’re not a good Christian if you support deportation, if you support borders, and you support the enforcement of immigration law.” While celebrities and progressive Christians will undoubtedly continue to gaslight Americans into fighting for immigration, the safety of children — and ultimately, all of us — isn’t the only reason to stand our ground. “The biblical case for enforcing borders,” Stuckey begins, “Walls are depicted either literally or symbolically throughout scripture. They are seen as symbols or as the protection of order, and God is a god of order. He placed us in a garden, not a jungle.” “He is a god of parameters, he is a god of definitions, borders, countries, were all his idea for our good. The Tower of Babel and the confusion that ensued after that because people couldn’t speak the same language — that was a curse, not a blessing,” she continues. “God has given us families and communities and countries so that we could build societies in which people in particular, the most vulnerable people, could thrive. Anarchy and lawlessness and chaos, those are all seen as descriptions of what Satan loves throughout scripture,” she adds. Socialist Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York accused the Trump administration of "destroying" health care for millions of Americans over the federal funds freeze. President Donald Trump issued a temporary federal funds freeze on tens of billions of dollars in order to allow a government audit to ensure funds aren't going to efforts banned by his executive orders. The order specifically excludes payments to Medicaid, but Democrats spread reports that those were being denied. 'This is a constitutional crisis. It’s a massive, illegal power grab that the House and Senate have a sworn duty to stop.' Ocasio-Cortez pounced on the reports to accuse the Trump administration of destroying health care for millions of Americans. "Trump is holding all the nation’s hospitals and vital services hostage to seize power from Congress and hand it over to billionaires," she said on social media. "We must state the truth: this is a constitutional crisis. It’s a massive, illegal power grab that the House and Senate have a sworn duty to stop." The White House released a statement saying there was an outage in the payment system and that it would be restored soon. "The White House is aware of the Medicaid website portal outage," said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. "We have confirmed no payments have been affected — they are still being processed and sent. We expect the portal will be back online shortly."The memo had argued that Trump had a mandate from the presidential election to audit government spending and end the funding of left-wing policies implemented by the previous administration. "The use of federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and Green New Deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve," read the memo. "This memorandum requires federal agencies to identify and review all federal financial assistance programs and supporting activities consistent with the president's policies and requirements."Other Democrats and activists started repeating the notion that there was a "constitutional crisis" over the federal funds freeze and the Medicare outage.
