Pat Benatar Teases New Album With Husband, Says She Has Hundreds Of Unrecorded New Songs

Pat Benatar and her guitarist husband, Neil Giraldo, have achieved multiple successes together, including their 2022 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and they hope to make more magic together in the coming times. It has been two decades since their last studio album, Go, and Pat seems to blame Neil for the delay. During a recent chat with Billboard, she revealed that they both have up to 125 unrecorded songs waiting for Neil’s touch. The 68-year-old record producer responded by saying a new album will be out at the right time, although he struggles to know when that will be. When will Pat Benatar release new music? Instagram Neil explained that the best records get done within 29 days of unwavering laser focus, and for him, getting to put all his attention into a new record has been a major problem. He added that age has been a blocker to his creativity; however, they are currently looking to rework their musical, Invincible. RELATED: Pat Benatar Then and Now: 40+ Years of Her Rocking Life from 1980 to 2024 The stage musical features Pat’s popular songs like “Love Is a Battlefield,” “Heartbreaker,” “We Belong,” and “Hell Is for Children” to tell a story inspired by William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. Neil explained that they would revise the musical from scratch, as the initial production was not up to standard. PAT BENATAR, portrait c. 1982 Pat and Neil get ready for summer Pat and her songwriter husband are also excited about their ongoing summer tour, which is set to last until the middle of August, after which they will get to recreating Invincible. The couple hit the road on July 6, with their first gig at Atlantic City, New Jersey, and their most recent in Washington, DC. Instagram Their Funtastic 2024 tour will close out on August 16 at Northern Quest Casino in Airway Heights, Washington, after which their next creative pursuit will commence. The duo was a part of Dolly Parton’s latest album, Consequence, having worked with her on “Heartbreaker,” which they enjoyed very much. Hopefully, Neil gets in the studio soon and creates their own magic iconic music icons, too. The 'Jaws' quote "You're gonna need a bigger boat" was ad-libbed by Roy Scheider, but the actor didn't come up with the line on his own.

Biden Digs In

President Biden stays on the offensive, calling into his favorite morning show to excoriate the naysayers, rallying support among old allies, and vowing to everyone who will listen that he’s staying the race no matter what. Jon, Lovett, and Tommy lay out President Biden’s strategy and size up whether it’s working so far. And as the fight over Biden’s future moves to Capitol Hill, Lovett talks with Rep. Ro Khanna—a key Biden surrogate—about which way House members will go, and what Biden could...

Karine Jean-Pierre admits giving false information about Biden neurology visit after outcry over health misdirection

President Biden was seen by neurologist Dr. Kevin Cannard, who specializes in Parkinson’s disease, at the White House on Jan. 17, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre admitted late Tuesday — hours after telling reporters the opposite at her regular briefing. The clarification came just a day after Jean-Pierre scolded a journalist who grilled her over providing misleading information about whether Biden, 81, had been medically evaluated after his catastrophic June 27 debate...

Three reasons the calendar could be on Biden’s side as divided Dems fret

The calendar, ironically, could be on President Joe Biden’s side. The notion might seem counterintuitive as Democrats debate whether Biden, at 81 years old, has the mental sharpness, as well as cognitive and physical stamina, to defeat Donald Trump then serve another four-year term. Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., told CNN Tuesday evening he is worried a Biden run could lead to a Trump “landslide” win, and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Wednesday opted against endorsing him...
