The EPA Gold Bar Scandal

EPA officials were “throwing gold bars off the Titanic” to undermine the new government and the American people. They were quickly handing wasteful contracts out to their leftist allies to get jobs and keep Trump from winning once in office. There was no oversight or accountability of the pencil pushers. An undercover Project Veritas reporter spoke with EPA […] The post The EPA Gold Bar Scandal appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

King Abdullah Of Jordan Comes Out Against Removing Palestinians From Gaza

King Abdullah II of Jordan released a statement after meeting with President Donald Trump on Tuesday saying that he opposes “the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.” The message, released in Arabic after the meeting, came after Abdullah offered to take 2,000 sick children from Gaza into his country for immediate medical care. “I reaffirmed Jordan’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank (Judea and Samaria),” Abdullah said in his statement. “This is the unified Arab position,” he said. “Everyone’s priority should be the reconstruction of Gaza without displacing its people and addressing the difficult humanitarian situation in the Strip.” Abdullah said that a “just peace” had to be based on “a two-state solution” and nothing else, warning that it was the “only way to achieve stability in the region, and this requires the leading role of the United States.” “President Trump is a man of peace and played a pivotal role in reaching the ceasefire in Gaza,” he said. “We look forward to the continued efforts of the United States and all parties to solidify the ceasefire.” NEWS In a statement released in Arabic just after he left the White House, King Abdullah of Jordan said this, in-part, about his meeting and lunch with President Trump: “….I reaffirmed Jordan’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.… — Yashar Ali ? (@yashar) February 11, 2025 The meeting comes after Trump pressured Jordan and Egypt to take in refugees despite both countries declining. Trump and Abdullah met to discuss issues, including Trump’s Gaza proposal, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, ISIS and al-Qaeda, and economic cooperation. The king and crown prince of Jordan arrived at the White House around noon Tuesday afternoon, where they attended a bilateral meeting and lunch with the president. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also attended the meeting, which was the first official encounter between the King of Jordan and the President of the United States since Hamas and Israel agreed to a ceasefire. Trump greeted Abdullah outside the White House. After the king was met by the White House honor guard, Trump said of Abdullah, “He’s a great man.” As he greeted Abdullah, the president took one brief question from the assembled press: a reporter asked whether Saturday was still Trump’s deadline for Hamas, and Trump responded, “Yes.” During the meeting, Abdullah expressed delight at meeting with Trump so soon after the president’s inauguration. “Mr. President, I truly believe with all of the challenges that we have in the Middle East, I finally see somebody that can take us across the finish line that can bring stability and peace and prosperity to all of us in the region,” Abdullah said. “I think it is our collective responsibility in the Middle East to continue to work with you and to support you.” Mary Margaret Olohan and Kassy Akiva contributed to this report.

“When You’re Away For Two Weeks So Your Roommate Has To Feed The Lizard”

Chelsea Kramaritsch has a bearded dragon. Recently, when she had to travel for two weeks, it was up to her roommate, Deanna, to feed the lizard. It could have gone worse… @chelseakramaritsch @HungryMuncher |Travel-Foodie I owe you sushi dinner when I’m back #ourzoo #beardeddragon #hornworm #everyonemunches ♬ original sound – Chelsea Kramaritsch First off… ewwww… hornworms are gross. However, you can buy them on Amazon. They’re easy to get and an excellent snack for bearded dragons. They come in green and blue and are guaranteed to arrive alive. It’s hard not to agree with Deanna about the ickiness. They are creepy and crawly, but Cheeto seems to love them. Hornworms will grow into sphinx or hawk moths if they aren’t fed to Cheeto. You can tell that Chelsea’s roommate isn’t accustomed to feeding the lizard. She nudges the little critter using tongs and is repulsed when it moves. She mutters, “Pretend they’re gummy worms… pretend they’re gummy worms.” When she finally extracts it from the container, she flings it onto the floor near Cheeto. Image from TikTok. Cheeto makes short work of the hornworm while Deanna gags in the background. Meanwhile, the dog is watching this whole episode with bemused curiosity. Deanna gasps in horror as Cheeto chomps the lizard snack happily. After posting the first video, comments poured in from other users. They might make this a weekly feature. @chelseakramaritsch Replying to @Kaylyn turning this into a weekly series. For “human food” content follow @HungryMuncher |Travel-Foodie #reptilemom #beardeddragon #hornworm #chompingcheeto ♬ original sound – Chelsea Kramaritsch The second round went a little better, aside from Cheeto trying to run away and Deanna dragging him back into the frame. The dog looks like he wants that last hornworm. Image from TikTok. These two roommates are from Scottsdale, Arizona. You might recognize them from TikTok, where Chelsea posts about food, family, and fun. Her roommate, Deanna, is the HungryMuncher, a food and travel vlogger. The two have a ton of adventures. Please share the lizard drama. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. 10 Best Songs With The Word ‘Is’ In The Title

Whether used to challenge perceptions, embrace emotion, or strip an idea down to its rawest form, this small but mighty word has left a significant imprint on the genre. This collection of ten songs highlights just how differently “is” has been wielded, from the bluesy swagger of Roxy Music to the theatrical grandeur of Pink Floyd. Chicago’s “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?” turned an everyday question into a sly critique of society’s fixation on schedules, wrapped in the band’s signature blend of rock and jazz. Pink Floyd’s “Is There Anybody Out There?” stripped lyrics down to their The post 10 Best Songs With The Word ‘Is’ In The Title appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Discovery of Stunning Einstein Ring by European Space Agency’s Euclid–the Dark Universe Detective

When parsing through images meant to test the camera on a new space telescope, scientists recently recognized a striking and rare phenomenon that had been perfectly captured by the craft. A galaxy, shining in the distance, was tightly encircled by a halo of white light—also known as an Einstein Ring, and the result of gravitational […] The post Discovery of Stunning Einstein Ring by European Space Agency’s Euclid–the Dark Universe Detective appeared first on Good News Network.

Alien ocean could hide signs of life from spacecraft

Alien ocean could hide signs of life from spacecraft

As the search for extraterrestrial life continues, scientists have identified the hidden oceans beneath icy moons as target locations for discovery. However, new research from the University of Reading suggests these alien seas may be better at masking their secrets than previously believed, reports universetoday.com. Thick ice layers and complex chemical processes could make detecting signs of life from spacecraft far more challenging. The discovery presents significant obstacles for future missions to moons like Europa and Enceladus, where subsurface oceans might host the clues needed to finally confirm life beyond Earth. Europa, one of Jupiter’s largest moons, has a subsurface ocean beneath an icy crust. Research to date suggests that this hidden ocean, kept liquid by tidal heating from the gravity of Jupiter, could contain the necessary ingredients for life, including water, energy, and essential chemicals. Beneath the moon’s icy crust is a vast ocean of liquid water, with jets of ice and steam spurting out, and there is some evidence of energy sources on the seafloor, similar to hydrothermal vents in Earth’s oceans. Surface features such as cracks and ridges suggest that water from the ocean occasionally seeps through the ice, possibly carrying organic material to the surface. NASA’s upcoming Europa Clipper mission aims to investigate the moon’s habitability by analyzing its surface and subsurface environment. If life exists beyond Earth, Europa’s ocean may be one of the best places to find it. Another location where life could be found in our Solar System is Saturn’s moon Enceladus. It’s perhaps one of the most fascinating of all Saturn’s moons with, just like Europa, it’s thought to have a global ocean beneath an icy crust. Water vapour escapes as jets through cracks in the crust near the south pole. A new study that has been published in Communications Earth & Environment shows how the ocean of Enceladus is separated into distinct layers. These layers impeded the movement of material from the ocean floor, where life is thought to exist, to the surface. Spacecraft visiting worlds like Enceladus hunt for traces of chemicals like microbes and organic compounds are searched for among the water spraying out of the surface. However these ocean layers may well break down as they ascend through the ocean. By the time they reach the surface the biological signatures that would have been familiar are unrecognisable. It’s just possible that this process could hide signs of life that exist deep on the floor of the alien oceans. Flynn Ames, the lead author of the paper from the University of Reading explains that the oceans behave like oil and water in a jar with the distinct layers resisting vertical mixing. “These natural barriers could trap particles and chemical traces of life in the depths below for hundreds to hundreds of thousands of years. Previously, it was thought that these things could make their way efficiently to the ocean top within several months.” It seems then that simply sampling the escaping surface waters may not be sufficient to detect signs of life. Computer models have been established that are similar to those used to study our own oceans. The results revealing implications for our search for aliens in our Solar System. We may yet have to do more than simply analyse water spraying through surface cracks and fissures. Missions have been discussed that could launch tiny submarines to explore the oceans beneath the ice. It may be the only way we can find out once and for all if life does exist in the deep waters beneath the icy crusts.
