The Democratic National Abortion Convention

The Democratic National Abortion Convention

I have been saying for months that the Democratic National Convention would be indistinguishable from a national abortion convention. The abortion van providing free chemical abortion pills just outside the convention proved me right. But the van was no departure; it was true to style, both for the Democrat Party and for Planned Parenthood. That’s why Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson was on the agenda on the third night, joining the chorus of those attempting to deceive the American public about how harmful Republican and Trump-led “abortion bans” have been. Three women spoke from the convention stage on the opening night. I do not dismiss their tragic circumstances or deny that they deserve our compassionate help. In fact, I work to help such women every day all across the country. But I do object to the way the Democrat Party tries to twist these narratives to draw totally unwarranted conclusions. SAUL LOEB/AFP via Getty Images Amanda Zurawski spoke about nearly dying from pre-term labor, and the Texas ban on abortion. The fact is, however, that after the Texas Supreme Court considered her case, the Court made it clear that the Texas ban on abortion permits abortion to save a mother’s life and health. In the words of the Court: A physician who tells a patient, “Your life is threatened by a complication that has arisen during your pregnancy, and you may die, or there is a serious risk you will suffer substantial physical impairment unless an abortion is performed,” and in the same breath states “but the law won’t allow me to provide an abortion in these circumstances” is simply wrong in that legal assessment. If there is a dispute here for Zurawski, it is with her doctor, who under Texas law only needs to exercise reasonable medical judgment that the mother needs the abortion. There is no need to go to court, to blame the law, or to make a political case out of a personal tragedy. Then Kaitlyn Joshua spoke, ostensibly to expose the horrific evil of Louisiana’s abortion ban that allegedly threatened her life as she was miscarrying. Again, the Louisiana law about abortion specifically allows abortion to treat miscarriage. The duty, again, is on the doctor to provide the diagnosis. Finally, Hadley Duvall, who became famous in Kentucky for her political ads for Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear, spoke of how her stepfather raped her and although she had a miscarriage, she has become a spokeswoman for legal abortion. Hadley’s story – and again, I do not deny its tragic circumstances — assumes that permitting an abortion to a rape victim helps the rape victim, completely ignoring the experiences of countless women that abortion itself is a trauma. The last thing someone traumatized by rape needs is another trauma. I serve as the pastoral director of the world’s largest organization for healing after abortion. My team and I help women who have been traumatized by abortion. Hadley raises her voice, but so does Serena Dyksen, who was sexually assaulted at 13 years old, and testifies publicly that “the abortion was worse than the rape.” Sarahi testifies to the same thing, as does Aryn Sylvester. And we can go on and on.  For every story the Democrats want to highlight in their convention and in their ads, we can bring forth a hundred others talking about how harmful abortion is. If you care about women’s health, you should be paying attention to what abortion does to women’s health, not simply preaching a dogma that abortion is, by definition, healthcare and freedom. There’s another dimension to the Democrat dishonesty on display this week.  By bringing to the stage women who experienced health complications and sexual assault, do they want us to believe that they are OK with just allowing abortion in those circumstances? No, the Democrat Party opposes with all its might any law that would prohibit purely elective abortion. If they want to showcase their true policy goals, bring forward the abortionists who are paid to kill healthy babies of healthy mothers in the final months of pregnancy, or the woman I ministered to who had 26 abortions. The Democrat Party criticizes the laws in Texas and Louisiana, but doesn’t once mention that those laws also allocate substantial funds to help moms who want to have their babies, including in cases of adverse fetal conditions. The Democratic Convention is an abortion convention, because the Democrat Party is an abortion party – and a dishonest one. If they are so proud of abortion, why not show on those big convention screens how the procedure is done? Or how about just reading a description from the medical textbooks, in which you’ll find the words “dismember” and “decapitate?” Or how about just being honest enough to admit that the reason abortion is a deeply contentious issue is that two lives are involved? Even the Supreme Court has admitted this over the years, which is why it did not put abortion in the category of a “fundamental right.”  But for the Democrat Party, it’s just one-sided. It’s a woman’s reproductive freedom that matters. No need to consider the rights of the baby.  It’s easy to win a debate by just eliminating one whole side of the argument. That’s not a debate at all; it’s self-serving propaganda, and in this case, propaganda that has flesh and blood victims. * * * Frank Pavone is also president of the National Pro-life Religious Council and national pastoral Director, Rachel’s Vineyard and Silent No More. RFK Endorses Trump For President

RFK Endorses Trump For President

Democrat-turned-independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. endorsed Republican nominee Donald Trump on Friday, a major development that could shift momentum in the increasingly tight fight for the White House. During a speech in Phoenix, Kennedy said he was “suspending” his campaign and seeking to remove his name from the ballot in battleground states while keeping his name on the ballot in “blue” and “red” states. “My name will remain on the ballot in most states. If you live in a blue state, you can vote for me without harming our helping President Trump or Vice President Harris,” he said. “In Red states, the same will apply. … But in about 10 battleground states, where my presence would be a spoiler, I’m going to remove my name, and I’ve already started that process and urge voters not to vote for me.” “Now, [I am throwing] my support to President Trump.” #BREAKING: Robert F. Kennedy endorses Donald Trump, “suspends” his campaign, is removing his name from the swing states but remaining in “red” or “blue” states “Now, [I am throwing] my support to President Trump.” pic.twitter.com/Ez8MAuXnkD — Florida’s Voice (@FLVoiceNews) August 23, 2024 Kennedy endorsed Trump shortly before the Republican nominee is set to give a speech just miles away in Glendale, Arizona. The Trump campaign announced on Thursday that the former president will be joined by a “special guest” at his rally on Friday. The independent candidate filed paperwork to withdraw his name from the Arizona ballot on Thursday. His campaign also requested to be removed from the ballot in Pennsylvania, another key swing state, on Friday. Kennedy slammed the Democratic Party, saying he believes he would’ve won the Democratic primary and the election “in an honest system.” He added that he is “alarmed” by the Democrats’ censorship, accusing the party of “preventing” him from gaining ballot access. “In the name of saving democracy, the Democratic Party set itself to dismantling it,” Kennedy said. RFK Jr. absolutely SHREDS the Democratic Party for “abandoning democracy.” “It had become the party of war, censorship, corruption…” pic.twitter.com/hEXzre14T5 — Townhall.com (@townhallcom) August 23, 2024 Kennedy’s endorsement of Trump came after the independent candidate’s running mate Nicole Shanahan said earlier this week that their campaign was trying to decide between staying in the race, which would potentially help Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, or “join[ing] forces with Donald Trump.” Kennedy suffered a recent drop in the polls, dipping to 5% nationally, after spending much of the past year hovering around 10%, according to the RealClearPolitics average. The endorsement could shake up the race in multiple ways. Trump has performed better against Harris in polls that don’t include Kennedy, and Kennedy’s supporters will likely be much more open to backing Trump in the 2024 race. Trump also said he would consider tapping Kennedy for a role in his administration. As reports earlier this week indicated Kennedy would be backing Trump, the former president said he “would be honored” by Kennedy’s endorsement. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. “So I’ve known him for a long time. As you know, he is a little different kind of a guy. Very smart guy and a very good person. If he endorsed me, I would be honored by it,” Trump said. “He really has his heart in the right place. He is a respected person. Women love some of his policies and I guess some people don’t like some of his policies.” Trump added that he believes Democrats forced Kennedy out of the party’s primary because “there was a good chance” that he would have beaten President Joe Biden in the primary. Earlier this year, Trump ripped Kennedy as a “Democrat plant,” arguing the independent candidate is “totally Anti-Gun, an Extreme Environmentalist who makes the Green New Scammers look Conservative, a Big Time Taxer and Open Border Advocate, and Anti-Military/Vet[.]” Kennedy responded to Trump’s attack, calling it “a barely coherent barrage of wild and inaccurate claims that should best be resolved in the American tradition of presidential debate.” In the same post, Kennedy also blasted Trump’s policies during his time in the White House. Kennedy has been especially critical of Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, which ramped up production of a COVID vaccine during the pandemic. WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — A MATT WALSH COMEDY ON DEI “He promised to end the Ukraine war and then colluded with Speaker Johnson and President Biden to fund it,” Kennedy wrote. “He let Big Pharma and his corrupt bureaucrats run roughshod over him as President. He promised to cut the deficit and ran up the biggest debt in history. He promised to run the government like a business and then closed down our businesses. He promised to drain the swamp and then filled his administration with swamp creatures. He promised to protect our rights and then torpedoed the Constitution.” The new alliance between Trump and Kennedy comes one day after the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention, where Harris was formally crowned as the party’s nominee. In a two-way race, Harris holds a 1.5-point lead over Trump in the latest RealClearPolitics average of national polling.

Foundations Of The West: Jordan Peterson And Ben Shapiro Explore Jerusalem

The following is an edited transcript excerpt from Dr. Jordan B. Peterson’s new DailyWire+ series Foundations of The West. Join Dr. Jordan B. Peterson and his esteemed colleagues in this new 5-part series exploring the ancient cities that shaped the West. Start time: 24:59 Ben Shapiro: Here you start to see the beginnings of the age of a constitutional monarchy. There are even hints of this in Deuteronomy. One of the laws in Deuteronomy is that the king is supposed to carry around his own Sefer Torah. He’s subject to the law. The king is not above the law. Judaism is very clear about that and so is Christianity. Henceforth, the idea of limitations on absolute government are part and parcel of the whole system. Jordan B. Peterson: One of the things that, to me, lends historical credence to those sorts of stories is that it does not exactly show David in a positive light. So what kind of propaganda is that exactly? Archeological site in City of David, Jerusalem, Israel. Jacek_Sopotnicki. Getty Images. Shapiro: That is definitely one of the things in favor of biblical narrative is that when you show all the warts, it suggests that you’re not propagandizing. Peterson: Yes, definitely. And that happens a lot. Shapiro: That’s the entire Exodus story. The idea is that you have an absolute monarch in Pharaoh, and he is a god, so everything he says goes. Then people are brought forth from slavery to freedom, but the freedom requires subjugation to God. You’re still a servant, but you’re not a servant of a person anymore. Now, you’re a servant of an ideal. You’re a servant of a higher power. And that means inherently limiting the power of human beings. Shapiro: This is like a massive cistern. Ze’ev Orenstein (Director of International Affairs): So, you see here, it’s an ancient cistern. You see the plaster, here, on that wall that would keep the water in. Peterson: So people would have carved this out of the rock? Screenshot: DailyWire+ Orenstein: Sure. One of the challenges that Israel still has is water scarcity. And so here’s how you would store water. Now, keep in mind, if we are coming from next to the palace, this is not a private person’s cistern. This, you can see, is a massive area. This is the cistern that archeologists believe could have been the cistern where Jeremiah was thrown into a pit. Jeremiah was perceived at that time to be a traitor. He had said that if the people don’t change their ways, Jerusalem is going to be destroyed. But he was a prophet of doom. Nobody wanted to hear what he had to say, and the advisors of King Zedekiah got tired of hearing this guy go around calling for the surrender of the city, so they threw him down into a pit. Now, can I tell you for sure Jeremiah is thrown into this pit? I can’t tell you that, and if not this one, it was one near here like this one. Peterson: All pits are the same, if you’re thrown into them. WATCH: Foundations of the West, Episode 1: ‘Jerusalem & The Axis Mundi’ with Dr. Jordan B. Peterson on DailyWire+ Orenstein: Here, they say, what’s the plan? He’s going to drown, right? It’s a cistern. But the Bible makes it clear: There’s no water; there’s mud. And he’s sinking into the mud until a servant to the king goes before Zedekiah, and he says, “You might not like what Jeremiah is saying, but it’s not him who’s saying it. He’s a prophet. He’s a man of God. The words are God’s words. You can’t do this to Jeremiah.” And the king says, “All right, you’re right. Go take 30 people with you and pull Jeremiah up out of the pit.” And then it goes on to say how he keeps true to his message about what’s going to happen to Jerusalem. But this is where, back to the last days of Jerusalem before the Babylonians destroyed it, you have Jeremiah here sinking into the mud, hearing the impending destruction above. This is where it’s playing out. We take for granted today the ability to be critical of our leadership, to hold our leaders accountable. But going back thousands of years, there was a position in biblical times, that of the prophet, whose role was to go to the highest levels of society and to hold those leaders accountable and let them know that there are consequences for falling short. There are consequences for making poor decisions, unethical decisions. Credit: Gregory Woodman. DailyWire+. Shapiro: Both the Judaic side of government and the Greek side of government are predicated on the idea that there are limitations to what government can do. You can make the case that the biblically based system is more of a limited monarchy, where the powers of the king are fairly limited, but the kingship is not derived from the people. And the Greek system is that authority is derived from the people and is almost unlimited. When Aristotle talks about how there are three types of governments and all have the capacity to devolve into tyranny, that’s what he’s talking about. You can have a benevolent monarch, which is more like the biblical system, but even the Bible is pretty divided over whether kings are good or necessary. Samuel gives a whole speech before the appointment of King Saul, saying, “You guys are really going to hate this king thing. You probably shouldn’t do it.” And the people say, “Well, no. We want it anyway.” And God says, “Ok, fine. If they want it, they’re going to get it.” Orenstein: Every single day here in the City of David, we’re unearthing antiquities that show, not simply as a matter of faith, but as a matter of fact, Jerusalem’s biblical heritage coming to life. Police Make Three Arrests, Seize Over 80 Pounds Of Meth In Colony Ridge Drug Bust

Police busted a methamphetamine distribution operation in Colony Ridge, a sprawling land development north of Houston, Texas that uses legally questionable tactics to attract illegal immigrants. The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit seized 86 pounds of crystal methamphetamine that was intended for distribution and arrested three suspects after a brief pursuit. Colony Ridge is estimated to have anywhere from 45,000 to 75,000 residents, and sprawls across roughly 60 square miles, making it nearly the size of Washington, D.C. The development has become infamous for advertising and offering financing to illegal immigrants, and now faces lawsuits from the Department of Justice, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. The three suspects, Misael Jaramillo, Cesar Patino, and Martha Julissa Martinez, were arrested after Patino allegedly attempted to escape and rammed his vehicle into police vehicles. Patino also allegedly threw a handgun out of the vehicle before being arrested. Jaramillo allegedly attempted to escape authorities before also being apprehended. The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office went to Jaramillio’s Colony Ridge residence, which law enforcement said was being used as a meth laboratory following Patino and Jaramillo’s arrests. The officers searched the property and reportedly found cocaine, weapons, and more meth, which Martha Julissa Martinez reportedly attempted to hide from authorities prior to her arrest. Martinez was then arrested at the residence. READ MORE: Inside Colony Ridge: The ‘Fastest Growing Development’ In The U.S. Is A Magnet For Illegal Immigrants The Colony Ridge drug bust comes just months after two illegal immigrant murder suspects who lived in the development were arrested by the Splendora Police Department. One of the two murder suspects, Juan Jose Valero Cruz, had already been deported from the United States twice and was slated to be deported a third time after his arrest, the Department of Homeland Security stated. Colony Ridge came under scrutiny late last year after a teen was allegedly abducted at gunpoint inside the development and shot at after he fled from the kidnappers. In addition to the lawsuits, Colony Ridge also faces an ongoing investigation from the Environmental Protection Agency, with reports indicating that the Internal Revenue Service and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality may be conducting investigations of their own.

Is Kamala Harris The American Evita?
Favicon

Is Kamala Harris The American Evita?

At first glance, Vice President Kamala Harris has little in common with Eva Perón, the controversial first lady of Argentina popularly known as “Evita.” But a closer look reveals one alarming similarity. Over 70 years ago, Evita and her husband, Argentina’s president Juan Perón held power by showering their fellow citizens with benefits and tanking the economy. The Peróns threw (figurative) candy off the palace balcony to the masses below, while distracting them from the consequences of irresponsible fiscal policy. Last year, inflation in Argentina was at 140%. Poverty was at 40%. Half the country was receiving some kind of public payment. After seven decades of Peronism, the Argentines had finally had enough. They elected economist Javier Milei on a promise to shrink government, privatize state companies, and liberalize trade. Here in los Estados Unidos, we seem not to have taken this lesson to heart. President Biden used COVID as an excuse to give us the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act — which, despite the names, poured printed trillions into the money supply. This, economists tell us, is the basic cause of inflation. More money chasing the same amount of stuff means higher prices. Then there was the student loan giveaway, where hundreds of billions in borrowers’ liability, regardless of the quality of their degree or ability to pay, were transferred to you and me. The Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional, but the administration continued regardless. There was also a pension bailout. Biden used $36 billion in taxpayer funds to bail out 350,000 participants in underfunded private plans. But what the White House called “helping to ensure a dignified retirement for all American workers” means all the other taxpayers bailing out badly-managed union funds. Nationalizing private losses creates more moral hazard, as feckless managers face no consequences for failure. When it comes to immigration, Biden has doled out candy like no other president before him—a policy that Harris, his “border czar,” shows every sign of continuing if she succeeds him. There’s been billions in FEMA grants given to charities that relocate inadmissible aliens throughout the country, and to the Biden-supporting cities and states that house them for “free.” There’s Temporary Protected Status, where the government “temporarily” declares a given country’s illegal aliens off limits for enforcement. This lasts 18 months, but then is renewed over and over. Some countries’ nationals have had TPS for decades. Then there’s Biden’s bogus immigration parole-a-palooza programs that cover whole countries and millions of inadmissible or illegal aliens. The latest is “parole in place,” which could apply to a million or more illegal aliens married to U.S. citizens. Like other Biden “lawful pathways” around immigration limits set by Congress, this one is wide open to fraud. There’s Deferred Enforced Departure for illegally present Palestinians (and others), which means although a foreign national has had all due process, the Biden-Harris administration just decides not to enforce judgement. The administration is also considering expanding the Cancellation of Removal program to people who have lived in the U.S. for over 10 years and have citizen relatives who would “suffer hardship” if they were deported. They’re unlikely to set the hardship bar too high. There’s taxpayer subsidized Medicaid and Obamacare for DACA (Obama’s “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” program). To achieve this, Biden’s proposed rule considers DACA beneficiaries “lawfully present” for the purposes of health benefits, though the justification for the “deferred action” against them is that they are unlawfully present. It’s pretzel logic. The emerging Harris agenda builds off the Biden years by bringing a bigger bag of candy to the balcony and throwing it off even faster. She wants to: Give illegal aliens an “earned pathway to citizenship” (amnesty); “eliminate” medical debt (by transferring it to the rest of us); give first-time house buyers $25,000 and $40 billion in subsidies tax credits for builders; give parents a $6,000 “tax credit” (even if they pay no tax); ban “price-gouging” for groceries, and cap prescription drug costs.  The last two ideas are known as “price controls.” Reason magazine calls them “dishonest and stupid.” Or as Federal Reserve economist Chris Neely more politely writes, an “analysis of history show that broad price controls would be costly and of limited effectiveness.” Harris says she will do all this while “reducing the deficit and strengthening our fiscal health.” You see, she will throw all the candy out of the basket, but the basket magically refills. It’s the miracle of the loaves and fishes, with faith not in God but Big Government. Tax expert Daniel Hemel thinks Harris has “made the correct calculus that sacrificing on fiscal policy for a few hundred thousand middle-class voters in the battleground states is worth it.” Maybe so. And who wants to be the politician running against Evita and the free candy? What’s certain is that, though the candy continues to rain on our heads, it is never free. * * * Simon Hankinson is a Senior Research Fellow in the Border Security and Immigration Center at The Heritage Foundation. WATCH: DNC Democrats Unable To Say Why They Think JD Vance Is Weird

Attendees at the Democratic National Convention interviewed by The Daily Wire were left tripping over their words when asked why they think Senator JD Vance (R-OH) is weird. Almost immediately after former President Donald Trump announced Vance would be his running mate, key Democratic leaders began to push the talking point that Vance is “weird,” including Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. But when asked the simple question of “why is JD Vance weird?” interviewees struggled to find an answer, or else pointed to a vulgar internet lie involving Vance and a couch that has been repeated by Walz. One older woman said the “Hillbilly Elegy” author is weird because he “doesn’t understand any common people.” “I don’t know what makes him weird,” another woman honestly said after taking a long pause to contemplate the question. Another man said he doesn’t like to use the term weird, while a third pointed to his belief that Vance wears eyeliner and is angry. “He’s like— he’s weird because he is a — he’s fake—I mean he,” one young man covered in pro-Harris buttons told The Daily Wire, stumbling over his words.  “He has to like to defend his wife’s integrity because his party is like full of white supremacists, that’s pretty weird,” the young man added. “Shouldn’t he be defending his wife? Isn’t that a good thing?” The Daily Wire asked. “It is a good thing,” the man responded. After a few more questions pushing him to find an answer, the man with the buttons landed on the fact that Vance is weird because the “MAGA Republican” he supports are weird. One keffiyeh-clad man failed to give a reason why Vance is weird, but said Trump is weird because he dictated “who is black and who is not black,” referring to Trump criticizing Harris for what he believes is only recently leaning into her African American heritage. When asked his thoughts on President Joe Biden once stating “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” the man said he did not recall it ever happening. A few interviewees said they believe it is weird that Vance disliked Trump during the 2016 election but now supports him. “Anyone that can change on a dime like a chameleon like that, that’s f’ing weird,” said a man sporting a shirt covered in pictures of Walz’s face. Vance responded to the coordinated smear campaign in a Fox News interview earlier this month, calling it “projection” from people who are weird themselves. “I think that it’s a lot of projection, frankly, Maria, from people who want to give transgender hormones to 9-year-old kids and want biological males to play in women’s sports,” Vance said. “Look, I’m a husband, I’m a father, I’m happily married, and I love my life, and I am doing this because I want to be a good public servant who fixes the problems of the Democrats.” He added that the “middle school taunts don’t bother” him.

‘It’s A Bunch Of BS!’: Rep. Waltz Torches CNN’s Dana Bash During Live Interview

Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) gave CNN anchor Dana Bash no quarter when she attempted to lay the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan at form President Donald Trump’s feet: “It’s a bunch of B.S.” Bash argued that President Joe Biden was simply following through on a deal that Trump had put into place before he left the White House, but Waltz quickly pushed back, noting that the deal Trump made had been conditional and the Biden-Harris administration had pushed ahead even after the Taliban stood in violation of those conditions. WATCH: Rep. @michaelgwaltz sets the record straight on the Afghanistan withdrawal ? KAMALA AND BIDEN OWN THIS! pic.twitter.com/KZoHGuaavE — Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) August 23, 2024 “As you well know, the Trump administration negotiated the withdrawal agreement from Afghanistan with the Taliban and the State Department —” Bash began, but Waltz stopped her cold. “A conditional agreement, Dana,” he corrected. “A conditional agreement, and he left Bagram Air Base, he left 2,500 troops, his advisers came to him and said the Taliban haven’t lived up to it. And he said fine, the deal’s off.” “So how is it that the Democrats can back away from the Iran deal, from the border, from Keystone XL, can turn the page on literally dozens of Trump policies, but yet they’re gonna convince us that they were somehow handcuffed with a Doha agreement that Trump himself said the Taliban didn’t live up to — it’s a bunch of BS! And they know it. And to not acknowledge that is a slap in the face to the veterans and the Gold Star families,” Waltz continued. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. President Joe Biden has repeatedly boasted about “ending the war” in Afghanistan despite receiving harsh criticisms from both sides over his administration’s chaotic execution of the troop withdrawal. His decision to pull troops from Afghanistan prior to assisting with evacuations forced military leaders to abandon Bagram Air Base and instead move all traffic through the major airport in Kabul — the airport where a terrorist attack then killed 13 American service members and injured hundreds. In addition to the human cost, the Biden-Harris administration also left behind billions of dollars in American supplies and equipment — some of which the Taliban recently flaunted in a parade celebrating the United States’ departure.

The Message From Democrats Is Clear: Real Men Aren’t Welcome

Before it became a content farm full of AI generated clickbait, Sports Illustrated was at one point a serious publication where major political figures discussed issues of national importance. That was the case in December of 1960, when Sports Illustrated featured an article from John F. Kennedy, who was the president-elect at the time. The article was entitled “The Soft American,” and it addressed the crisis in masculinity that America was experiencing in the postwar period, as men took office jobs and adjusted to suburban life. In the article, Kennedy called on men to maintain their physical and mental fitness because the strength of the country depended on it. As Kennedy put it, “The knowledge that the physical well-being of the citizen is an important foundation for the vigor and vitality of all the activities of the nation, is as old as Western civilization itself.” It was a sentiment you’re unlikely to hear from politicians these days, expressed with an eloquence and maturity of thought and speech that you’re even less likely to hear. But it was a theme that Kennedy hit often. It’s one of the reasons he was elected. For Democrats in the 1960s, masculinity was a virtue worthy of reinforcing and protecting as much as possible. Going “soft,” as Kennedy put it, was tempting. It was the natural way forward for a lot of people. But it would ultimately doom the country. This wasn’t a particularly controversial point back then, or at any other point in world history. But in the 1960s, Democrats were the political party that most successfully communicated that message to Americans. Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. Six decades later, amid another genuine masculinity crisis — as evidenced by plummeting sperm counts, a rash of men who say they’re really women, declining rates of marriage and so on — Democrats are taking a very different approach. They’ve realized that emasculated men are easier to control. Weaker men are much less likely to resist wealth confiscation, gun confiscation and other indignities.  And because the modern Democrat Party cares about control more than anything else, they’re not taking JFK’s approach. Instead, they’re doing everything they can to make the masculinity crisis even worse. Specifically, Democrats are now pushing a new plan to “revamp” and “update” the entire concept of masculinity for the modern age. This is being achieved through their two new mascots of modern masculinity — their geldings that they’ve been trotting around as a positive example for all men to follow — Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff. This new ideal man — personified by Emhoff and Walz — is a bumbling cornball. He’s an obedient lackey who does not challenge anyone or anything, least of all the woman who he happily subordinates himself to. It is certainly no coincidence that the Left’s paragons of masculinity are men who play second fiddle to women. This might sound like one of those forbidden “conspiracy theories” that’s definitely not happening. But pretty much the entire corporate media has admitted it’s happening. Here’s CNN for example, explaining that Democrats are intentionally trying to appeal to men who are not, “testosterone laden”: “They are doing so in trying to put forward male figures—Tim Walz being one of them, Doug Emhoff last night—who can speak to men out there who might not be the sort of testosterone-laden, gun-toting kind of guy." CNN is calling Walz and Emhoff girly men!pic.twitter.com/0lM751nDfX — Michael Knowles (@michaeljknowles) August 22, 2024 When CNN comes out and states that the Democrats’ vice presidential nominee and the vice president’s husband both have low testosterone — you know this is a message that the party pre-approved. At any other point in American history, this would’ve been seen as insulting and condescending, and rightfully so. But Democrats no longer believe it’s remotely insulting or condescending to publicly state, as explicitly as possible, that someone is an effeminate, low-testosterone wimp. That’s because they want to encourage that behavior as much as possible. That’s why CNN isn’t the only media outlet doing this. The New York Times, for example, recently reported from the DNC that Tim Walz’s prime-time debut, “offered football analogies and an alternative to Trumpian masculinity.” The paper stated that “Mr. Walz contributed an idea of masculinity that contrasted with Donald Trump’s performative, pro-wrestling-influenced machismo.” According to the Times, “Not all coaches are men, but there are few pop-culture archetypes more male-coded. There’s the coach as paternalistic strongman — the my-way-or-the-highway leader whom you obey or you’re off the team. There’s the coach as icon — the Vince Lombardis and Tom Landrys whom fans hold equal to political leaders, or greater. But there’s also the coach as nurturer, mentor, character builder, surrogate father. … Wednesday’s production cast the Democrats as the party of both football and Oprah, balancing the ticket with a little inspirational, male-weepie sports drama.” WATCH: The Matt Walsh Show Yes, they wrote that Tim Walz adds “male-weepie drama” to the ticket, and we’re supposed to think that’s somehow “inspirational.” In fact, we’re supposed to think that a weepy male is so inspirational that it makes Tim Walz the “surrogate father” of America. Who needs your own father when you have a phony, manipulative politician who’s willing to cry a little on stage as he lies about every possible detail in his biography? Why not have Tim Walz raise your children? That’s what they’re saying. (And by the way, Tim Walz signed a law allowing Minnesota to effectively raise your children if he or she identifies as “trans” and flees to the state. So this isn’t really even a rhetorical question.) The Independent ran a similar headline pushing Tim Walz as the symbol of masculinity, which is how you know this is all coordinated: “Tim Walz is clearly a midwest ‘man’s man’. But he’s the antidote to toxic Maga masculinity.” The Independent wrote, “The image of a high school football coach is often one of a whistle-clutching neanderthal. … Walz and the Harris campaign are making a point of highlighting the ways that the Minnesota governor has sought to break that cultural mold – like when the then-football coach took the initiative to sponsor a gay-straight alliance at the school where he worked.” Yes, because nothing says “masculinity” like a grown man who, for some reason, helped to organize a gay club at his school so that he could talk with children about their sexuality — all before he eventually put tampons in the men’s bathroom. That’s what masculinity means to Democrats in 2024. It means that you’re willing to advance Left-wing politics at every available opportunity. It has nothing to do with your character, or your physical attributes or any of that. As long as you’re a loyal servant of the party, that makes you “masculine.” For a white guy like Tim Walz, playing the role of a loyal foot soldier means that he has to be willing to be mocked, openly, for his skin color. So Tim Walz has happily played along with that. As I’ve discussed before, he appeared for this scripted moment with Kamala Harris, in which she mocks him for being white and he nods submissively. Watch: Listen, I’m just not much of a spice guy. pic.twitter.com/u9yadJBMh2 — Tim Walz (@Tim_Walz) August 15, 2024 At the Independent Women’s Forum, Inez Stepman summed up what we’re seeing here as well as anyone. She wrote: “The Tim Walz packaging is meant to present a ‘welcoming’ invitation to white men as part of the rainbow coalition: join the DNC, and become merely a joke, not a villain.” As Stepman put it, Walz is playing the “bumbling, useless, non-threatening white dad in your typical corporate commercial,” which is “the only non-oppressor role for white men available in that worldview. … Same reason it’s white *dudes* for Harris and not white *men* – the latter too dignified, too threatening, there must be an air of degradation and court jester to the thing.” This is what Democrats are now presenting as “what it means to be a man.” Here’s a top Democrat in the Michigan state senate to explain: Dems have the right message w/ @Tim_Walz on what it means to be a man: joyful, family-focused, fun AND a hunter, veteran, and coach working arm-in-arm with a competent woman. Not the toxic hyper-masculinity that denigrates women on display in the GOP. (shoutout @dudes4harris) pic.twitter.com/HNCbyjoUEc — Mallory McMorrow (@MalloryMcMorrow) August 9, 2024 No one on the Right, anywhere, has stated that being a man means you don’t care about your family. Nobody — at least no conservative — has ever suggested that real men don’t love their daughters. In fact we have always said exactly the opposite. We have always said that the first thing a real man does is protect and care for his family. That has been our message all along. It’s the Left that condemned such ideas as paternalistic and patriarchal. Also, needless to say, no one on the Right has stated that men can’t be happy, or that men can’t be veterans, or that men can’t “love football.” Nothing she’s saying there makes any sense; it’s a complete strawman. She’s lying because she wants viewers to go along with her framing, which is that Tim Walz is the definition of “what it means to be a man.” That is what the highest levels of the Democrat Party have told their lieutenants to push, so that’s what they’re doing. WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ‘AM I RACIST?’ — A MATT WALSH COMEDY ON DEI But if you’re not buying the Tim Walz pitch, there’s always Doug Emhoff, who was just forced to admit (many years after the fact) that he cheated on his first wife by having an affair with the nanny. He also refused to say what happened to his child after he got the nanny pregnant — stating only that he went through “tough times,” because everything is always about him. This is apparently another paragon of masculinity, according to Politico. They reported: “Meet Doug Emhoff: Dad-in-Chief. The second gentleman’s words aimed to humanize Harris as not just a policymaker, but a successful woman who balances her career and family. … The White House might be getting a wife guy as the country’s first-ever ‘first gentleman.'” Yes, Doug Emhoff is a “Dad-in-chief.” He’s a real “wife guy,” for cheating on his wife and lying about it for years. Time Magazine agrees. They reported on what they called “The Doug Emhoff model of masculinity.” They wrote, after Emhoff’s speech at the DNC, that: “It was a relief to have an alternative model of manliness to admire and aspire to than the one often projected on the culture.” These media organizations, like the Democrat Party that controls them, know exactly what they’re doing here. They know that Doug Emhoff and Tim Walz are not presenting an “alternative model of manliness” at all. They are in fact projecting the exact opposite of “manliness” because they want to destroy the concept of manliness entirely. They are projecting cowardice and submissiveness because cowardly and submissive men are their core constituency. That’s why, in the span of just 60 years, the so-called “Soft American” has gone from the bane of Democrat Party, to their model for America.

Arkansas Supreme Court Rejects Effort From Leftist Group To Put Abortion On November Ballot

The Arkansas Supreme Court rejected a last ditch effort from a leftist group seeking to get an abortion amendment added to the November ballot that would roll back pro-life protections. On Thursday, the court ruled 4-3 against a challenge from the pro-abortion Arkansans for Limited Government (AFLG) to Secretary of State John Thurston’s decision to reject their amendment liberalizing the state’s abortion laws from the ballot. Thurston rejected the ballot initiative last month, saying that the group failed to disclose who it had paid to gather 14,143 of the signatures it collected in support of ballot placement. “This court is being asked to order another constitutional officer, the Arkansas Secretary of State, to ignore a mandatory statutory provision that he has enforced,” the majority wrote. “That is not the proper role of the court.” “We find that the secretary correctly refused to count the signatures collected by paid canvassers because the sponsor failed to file the paid canvasser training certification,” the majority added. The ballot initiative would have added exceptions to existing Arkansas abortion law for rape, incest, and fetal anomaly, as well as instituting a right to an abortion up to 18 weeks after conception. At 18 weeks, an unborn baby’s digestive system begins working and they can hear sounds. Dissenting Justices Karen Baker and Courtney Rae Hudson claimed that Thurston had manufactured a reason to reject the proposed amendment. “This requirement was made up out of whole cloth,” they wrote. “Regnat Populus — The People Rule — is the motto of Arkansas. Today’s decision strips every Arkansan of this power.” Thurston said that his office was only following the law when it rejected the amendment. “During the electoral process, my staff maintained the highest professional standards and did not allow partisan politics or misinformation to deter them from their duty to comply with the law,” he said in a statement. “I am dedicated to my calling to serve Arkansans and will continue to do so.” Tickets for “Am I Racist?” are on sale NOW! Buy here for a theater near you. The court’s ruling was praised by GOP Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “Proud I helped build the first conservative Supreme Court majority in the history of Arkansas and today that court upheld the rule of law, and with it, the right to life,” she said in a post on X. Other red states like Florida and South Dakota will have abortion rights on the ballot in 2024, while abortion measures are pending in other conservative states like Missouri and Montana.
