Trump-Vance Campaign Unveils Plan To ‘Barnstorm’ Battleground States During DNC

Former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), intend to keep busy while the Democratic National Contention (DNC) takes place in Chicago this coming week. The Trump-Vance campaign released on Sunday a plan to “barnstorm” battleground states and call out the “failed record” of Vice President Kamala Harris, who leads the Democratic Party’s presidential ticket, during a series of events from Monday through Friday. On Monday, Trump will hold an event focused on the economy and energy in York, Pennsylvania, and Vance will host an event with the same theme in Philadelphia. Tuesday brings events focused on crime and safety, with Trump hosting one in Detroit and Vance holding another in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Trump and Vance will unite on Wednesday to host a national security event in Asheboro, North Carolina. On Thursday, Trump is slated to host an immigration event in Montezuma Pass, Arizona, and Vance is set to hold a similar event in Valdosta, Georgia. And on Friday, Trump is scheduled to host a rally in Glendale, Arizona at 4 p.m. local time and a “No Tax On Tips” event in Las Vegas. Their campaign also listed other events taking place in cities across the battleground states with the same themes as the main events of that day. Trump campaign “allies” will hold daily press conferences in Chicago from Monday through Thursday. “At the DNC, Kamala Harris will hide behind celebrities because everyday families know that she has been an absolute disaster for our nation, and real Americans are worse off now than four years ago,” said Trump Campaign Senior Advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles in a statement. “Harris has failed to answer media questions for 28 days because she can’t explain away her record of supporting policies that cause inflation, bans on private health insurance, destroying American energy, and higher taxes.” They added, “As they meet Americans where they are in battleground states across the country, President Trump and Senator Vance will remind voters that under their leadership, we can end inflation, protect our communities from violent criminals, secure the border, and Make America Great Again.” The DNC takes place Monday through Thursday. President Joe Biden is expected to speak at the convention, as are former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State and failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and former First Lady Michelle Obama. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is expected to deliver his vice-presidential acceptance speech on Wednesday and Harris will formally accept the presidential nomination and speak on Thursday night.

Oldest And Best Classic Bands & Artists Still Releasing New Albums

Our Oldest Classic Bands & Artists Still Releasing New Albums article was purposely written without putting a number in front of the title. The reason behind this is that we wanted to keep this one open-ended and add bands and artists that our readers thought should be on this list. After all, this classic rock site is written by music fans, not critics. It was started by myself, who spent my entire life as a musician and wanted to write about rock and roll music in the most respectful and loving way possible. Without the readers, without the people who The post Oldest And Best Classic Bands & Artists Still Releasing New Albums appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Apple Vision Pro post-hype: Consider this before buying the spatial computer

Apple Vision Pro post-hype: Consider this before buying the spatial computer

It's been six months since Apple Vision Pro launched in the US. Even with its first international expansion a month ago, the hype surrounding the spatial computer has passed. In our Apple Vision Pro review, we said this device is the future, but we're unsure if we want it just yet. However, if you're still willing to give this product a chance, here are some of my thoughts, as well as some tips and tricks for deciding whether to get it. The good and bad of Apple Vision Pro The Apple Vision Pro is well-made, as is the case for virtually all of the hardware Apple releases, but it's really noticeable how heavy it is. On my first try, I added too much pressure on the Light Seal, which hurt my face after a while. Besides some technical adjustments, these are my impressions that people often don't discuss. First and foremost, using an Apple Vision Pro will feel familiar to most Apple users. You're probably familiar with the Digital Crown of the Apple Watch or AirPods Max, and you've probably used the double tap gesture on your Apple Watch. In order to interact with the world around you, you just look and pinch with your fingers. It's very impressive and straightforward. Another thing that has always made me curious about Apple Vision Pro was my field of view. Some people said it looked like wearing binoculars, but once you start experimenting with the device, you forget that you don't have a side view. Apple Vision Pro spatial computer. Image source: Jonathan S. Geller However, I found it really annoying that most third-party apps had a pop-up warning saying I needed to be aware of my surroundings. I understood after the first warning. The device doesn't need to display this every time I open a new app. The environments (Apple's and third-party) are really well made. In my limited experience, the best way to use Apple Vision Pro is to immerse yourself in a different space. Gaming was confusing, but watching TV shows and movies felt just right. Ultimately, I would say Apple Vision Pro is the perfect entertainment device, except for the fact that you never forget you are wearing it. Also, the best videos available on this spatial computer are those that really put you in the center of the experience. Apple TV immersive videos were the highlight of my usage, especially because they felt like Disney's Soaring attraction. Still, I don't think the spatial computer is for me. Even though I'm a tech journalist, I'm choosing to wait for a second generation to see if Apple can address the lack of content, improve the weight of the device, and add a wider field of view. Also, I think it's important to highlight that this is the first mixed-reality headset that didn't give me motion sickness. I'm impressed. Wrap up Apple Vision Pro starts at $3,499. It's not for everyone, but Apple users will get a kick out of it. It's simple, intuitive, and has a lot of potential. However, Apple really needs to get to work on a second generation to make this device enticing to the broader public.
