Just Join the Biden Campaign: ABC’s Bruce Celebrates Biden Celebrating Baby-Killing

Another day‚ another act of Biden campaign propaganda. As we’ve seen day after day‚ ABC’s Good Morning America openly and unapologetically ate out of the hand of the Biden press office with a full report on the regime’s preferred topic of the day. On Tuesday‚ it was chief White House correspondent and chief Biden apple polisher Mary Bruce cheering Biden traveling to Florida to celebrate murdering children in the womb. A simple perusing of the NewsBusters tag for Bruce would show she’s a diamond-level frequent rider of the Biden train. Co-host Robin Roberts did her part as well setting the table: “And now‚ this morning‚ President Biden taking his message about a woman’s right to choose to Florida exactly one week before the state’s new law outlawing most abortions goes into effect.” Even the chyron served its purpose: “New This Morning; President Biden Heading to Florida; States’s New Abortion Ban Takes Effect in One Week”. Bruce giddily boasted of “the Biden campaign...trying to seize this moment‚ blasting new abortion restrictions across the country” and huffing that “Donald Trump did this as he boasts of appointing three of the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe.” Ignoring the fact that Florida is increasingly a fervently red state‚ Bruce added: “Now‚ in Tampa today‚ President Biden will hold his first major campaign on the issue‚ one week before Florida is set to ban most abortions after six weeks before most women even know that they are pregnant.” After pointing out “Vice President Kamala Harris has been leading the charge on this issue” before Tuesday’s visit‚ the brisk‚ 56-second segment wound down with her waving pom-poms for Biden as “a staunch defender of the abortion access” amid “a complicated evolution on the issue” since he’s “a Catholic.” Challenge for Mary Bruce: Please be objective and keep yourself from getting weak knees over your liberal handlers. Impossible. Right to the end‚ she shilled in claiming abortion would define the election: “[T]he campaign knows this is going to be a defining issue for this campaign and they’re eager to put it front and center‚ Robin.” To see the relevant transcript from April 23‚ click “expand.” ABC’s Good Morning America April 23‚ 2023 7:15 a.m. Eastern [ON-SCREEN HEADLINE: New This Morning; President Biden Heading to Florida; States’s New Abortion Ban Takes Effect in One Week] ROBIN ROBERTS: And now‚ this morning‚ President Biden taking his message about a woman’s right to choose to Florida exactly one week before the state’s new law outlawing most abortions goes into effect. Our chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce will be traveling today with the President. Good morning‚ Mary. MARY BRUCE: Good morning‚ Robin. Well‚ the Biden campaign is trying to seize this moment‚ blasting new abortion restrictions across the country‚ urging Donald Trump did this as he boasts of appointing three of the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe. Now‚ in Tampa today‚ President Biden will hold his first major campaign on the issue‚ one week before Florida is set to ban most abortions after six weeks before most women even know that they are pregnant. Now‚ so far Vice President Kamala Harris has been leading the charge on this issue. The President‚ of course‚ is a staunch defender of the abortion access‚ but‚ as a Catholic‚ he’s had a complicated evolution on the issue‚ but the campaign knows this is going to be a defining issue for this campaign and they’re eager to put it front and center‚ Robin. ROBERTS: Alright‚ Mary‚ thank you. And safe travels today.

Minnesota state senator's burglary arrest could jeopardize Democrats' hold on power

Minnesota state Sen. Nicole Mitchell (D) was arrested Monday and charged with burglary in the first degree — a crime for which an American citizen without political connections could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $35‚000. The 49-year-old leftist's alleged attempt to steal into her estranged stepmother's home and abscond with human remains may not have only jeopardized her career but her party's control over the Minnesota Senate where Democrats only have a one-seat majority. With Mitchell behind bars‚ her comrades may find it difficult to advance their agenda in the state‚ at least in the final weeks of the present legislative session. KVRR-TV reported that Mitchell‚ a former Minnesota Public Radio meteorologist and a lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard‚ traveled hundreds of miles away from her Twin Cities stomping grounds to a home in Detroit Lakes‚ whose owner called police around 4:45 a.m. Monday to report &;quot;an active burglary in process.&;quot; Police quickly arrived on the scene‚ searched the residence‚ and detained Mitchell‚ who just days earlier posted about her discussions with a gun-grab group about &;quot;safer communities.&;quot; It appears Mitchell‚ 49‚ did not choose the 700 block of Granger Road at random. The criminal complaint indicated the house Mitchell allegedly targeted and broke into belongs to her stepmother. The Democrat was found lurking in the basement‚ dressed in all black clothing and a black hat‚ reported WCCO-FM. Investigators indicated Mitchell had stolen inside in hopes of retrieving some of her recently deceased father's belongings as well as his remains. Apparently‚ the Democrat's stepmother wasn't interested in talking to her even before this alleged violation of home and trust. A pair of laptops‚ a cell phone‚ various documents‚ and a Senate ID were found inside Mitchell's black backpack. According to the complaint‚ Mitchell claimed one of the laptops was gifted her by her stepmother‚ which the victim denied. The criminal complaint indicated that Mitchell admitted to driving from her home in Woodbury to Detroit Lakes early Monday morning and entering her stepmother's house via the basement window where her go-bag was found‚ reported KSTP-TV. Mitchell‚ who has no priors‚ appeared in court Tuesday. She obtained release without bail on the conditions that she shows up for future court appearances‚ doesn't break the law‚ and doesn't leave the state with the exception to Cass County in North Dakota for official duties. Republican Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson said in a statement just hours after his Democratic colleague was tossed in the Becker County Jail‚ &;quot;Knowing very few details at this time‚ I am shocked by the news of Sen. Nicole Mitchell's arrest for first-degree burglary.&;quot; &;quot; The public expects Legislators to meet a high standard of conduct‚&;quot; continued Johnson. &;quot; As information comes out‚ we expect the consequences to meet the actions‚ both in the court of law‚ and in her role at the legislature.&;quot; Sources have told KSTP that Republican state Senate leaders are considering calling for the Democrat's resignation. The Minnesota Senate Democratic Caucus reportedly indicated that it was &;quot;aware of the situation and has no comment pending further information.&;quot; State Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy said‚ &;quot; The allegations against Senator Mitchell are upsetting‚ for me and for anyone who has gotten to know and work with her.&;quot; &;quot; The behavior alleged is far outside the character she has established in the Senate and in her distinguished career in the military‚&;quot; added Murphy. &;quot; We believe in due process‚ and Senator Mitchell has the right to a full defense of her case in court. In the coming days and weeks‚ Senator Mitchell must also have serious and difficult conversations with her colleagues‚ constituents and family.&;quot; Mitchell was elected to the Senate in 2022. Barring removal or resignation‚ she will remain in office until 2027. Had Mitchell been successful last year in passing SF 2469‚ then she would have been guaranteed supportive arts programs if convicted. 'That's my only option': Kirsten Dunst declares she will vote for Joe Biden‚ claims 'Civil War' movie is not about Trump

Actress Kirsten Dunst said that voting for President Biden in the 2024 presidential election is her only option‚ while noting that she didn't believe her latest movie was meant to parody the presidency of Donald Trump. The 41-year-old actress‚ best known for roles in the cheerleading hit &;quot;Bring It On&;quot; and Marvel's Spider-Man movies of the early 2000s‚ was interviewed about her latest film‚ &;quot;Civil War‚&;quot; and whether or not it is meant to be a statement about President Trump. The film's presidential character‚ as Variety described‚ is a narcissistic authoritarian and is played by noted activist actor Nick Offerman. The actor has vehemently defended his gay love story in the series &;quot; The Last of Us&;quot; (which also stars a &;quot;nonbinary&;quot; actor)‚ lashing out at critics and fans of the series' derivative as &;quot;homophobic.&;quot; However‚ Dunst stated that the idea that Offerman's character was meant to be Trump felt &;quot;fictitious&;quot; and wasn't meant to evoke such a comparison from the audience. &;quot;I don't want to compare because that's the antithesis of the film. It's just a fascist president. But I didn't think about Nick's character being any certain political figure. I just thought this is this president‚ in this world‚ who will not abide by the Constitution and democracy.&;quot;Offerman himself told Deadline at the film's premiere that the depiction wasn't meant to be Trump.&;quot;Honestly‚ no‚&;quot; he said. &;quot; When you see the movie‚ it's so unattached to anything in modern politics‚ not only in our country but any country.&;quot;Dunst: 'Beto' and Bernie FanDunst did not muddy the waters in terms of who she supports politically‚ plainly stating that she thought President Biden's re-election was the only choice.&;quot;I'm gonna vote for Biden. That's my only option. Right&;#63;&;quot;&;quot;It's just shocking that we're in this position again‚&;quot; she continued‚ reportedly expressing low levels of excitement for the race. &;quot; It's just money‚ money‚ money‚ money‚ money.&;quot;&;quot;Everything is broken. Everything needs to be fixed‚&;quot; she added‚ with her voice reportedly cracking with emotion.Dunst admitted in her interview that she was a Robert &;quot;Beto&;quot; O'Rourke supporter and was disappointed by his loss in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries. The fourth-generation Irish-American also lost a 2022 gubernatorial election in Texas to Greg Abbott.Dunst also noted she had been a Bernie Sanders supporter in the past‚ as well.&;quot; It’s wild that everything is currently 'broken' under a Biden presidency‚ yet her solution to fixing things is making sure he gets re-elected‚&;quot; pop culture writer Natasha Biase told Blaze News.&;quot; Not only is she supporting him with her own vote‚ but also by endorsing him publicly. That’s some unfortunate cognitive dissonance right there&;#33;&;quot; Biase added. The &;quot;Jumanji&;quot; actress also stated that she is unwilling to hide that she is a devout Christian. &;quot;I did have both my children baptized because I love the tradition. I believe in God‚&;quot; she explained.&;quot;Civil War&;quot; had a $25.5 million opening weekend and was released in around 4‚000 theaters‚ per Box Office Mojo.Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Blaze News investigates: 'Where the fight is' — Virginia teen refuses to compromise her faith for gender ideology; takes school district to court

Virginia has fielded various battles in recent years over parental rights and radical gender ideology in the classroom. While those supportive of the former and antipathetic to the latter appear to have gained some ground in the swing state since the time of Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s 2021 win‚ it’s abundantly clear that this remains an undecided war. While historically a fight between adults at kids' expense‚ a brave teen in Northern Virginia who found herself caught up in Fairfax County Public Schools’ leftist counteroffensive has stepped into the breach. The high school senior‚ referred to as Jane Doe in court documents‚ is suing the Fairfax County School Board with the help of the America First Legal Foundation‚ alleging she has been compelled &;quot;to speak in a manner that violates her sincerely held philosophical and religious beliefs&;quot; and has been discriminated against on the basis of both her beliefs and her sex. This young Christian woman has apparently refused to consent to the invasion of girls' bathrooms and locker rooms by transvestites and other opportunistic males seeking accommodation over their so-called gender identity. She has also refused to call &;quot;students who identify as gender-expansive or transgender ... by their chosen name and pronoun‚ regardless of the name and gender recorded in the student’s permanent pupil record.&;quot; The lawsuit‚ filed in the Circuit Court of Fairfax County‚ seeks an admission on the part of the FCSB that its rules have violated the teen's right to free expression‚ free exercise‚ and due process under the Virginia Constitution along with her right to be free from government discrimination on the basis of religion and sex. Additionally‚ Doe seeks an injunction along with a declaratory judgment that the district's gender ideology policy is incompatible with the guarantees of freedom provided by the Constitution and Code of Virginia. Ian Prior‚ senior legal advisor with America First Legal‚ said in a statement‚ &;quot;Fairfax County Public Schools appears to believe that its policies and regulations can override the Virginia Constitution’s protections for religious beliefs‚ speech‚ and from government discrimination on the basis of sex and religious beliefs.&;quot; 'Where the fight is' Even though the Biden administration is poised to foist gender ideology on schools nationwide via its final Title IX regulations‚ some parental rights advocates are convinced that a win in this case would nevertheless be significant. Alvin Lui‚ the president and cofounder of the parental rights advocacy group Courage Is a Habit‚ told Blaze News that Doe’s defiance and litigation is &;quot;where the fight is.&;quot; &;quot; When you have a lawsuit like with this young lady‚ this one young lady who presumably had the backing of her parents and her family — this is where the fight is‚&;quot; said Lui. &;quot; This lawsuit is hugely important because it reminds people not to wait for people to come. ... This is the pushback people need.&;quot; &;quot; If this goes her way‚ every parent group — and you can be sure that Courage Is a Habit will absolutely take advantage of this — every parent group out there from Moms for Liberty to Moms for America to all the other smaller groups should take that and distribute that to the local school districts and have their children push back ... because now a precedent has been set‚&;quot; added Lui‚ who has been working to protect American children in various states including Maine. Victoria Cobb‚ president of the Family Foundation of Virginia‚ told Blaze News‚ &;quot;I'm proud of the student for standing up and saying that 'I am being compelled to do things and say things that I don’t believe.'&;quot; &;quot; The idea that a student would have to sign away what they believe to attend public school is un-American‚&;quot; continued Cobb‚ whose faith-based organization has been fighting to ensure Virginians can freely live out their faith in the public square. Cobb added that the requirement a student would have to surrender his or her &;quot;First Amendment rights to attend school is legally abhorrent. I think the [FCPS] will find themselves struggling on the back end of this lawsuit.&;quot; Should the Christian teen fail in her civil rights lawsuit‚ she will have at least demonstrated the cost of a clear conscience in Fairfax County. Background Virginians elected Gov. Youngkin in November 2021 largely due to his stances on parental rights and education. Given a mandate to take decisive action in these areas‚ Youngkin’s administration has taken steps to roll back some of the previous government’s radical policies. However‚ various local public school districts‚ including the largest public school system in the state‚ have resisted the democratic will of the people‚ recommitting to rules that systematically advance gender ideology — apparently at the expense of some students’ safety and First Amendment rights. In July 2023‚ the Virginia Department of Education released its final Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools‚ highlighting that the previous model policies under former Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam not only &;quot;promoted a specific viewpoint aimed at achieving cultural and social transformation in schools&;quot; but had &;quot;also disregarded the rights of parents and ignored other legal and constitutional principles that significantly impact how schools educate students.&;quot; The Youngkin administration ultimately tossed out the Northam model policies and instead emphasized parents’ rights &;quot;to make decisions with respect to their children.&;quot; In addition to making sure parents could not be left in the dark about their kids' possible manifestations of gender dysphoria at school‚ the final policies required schools to: use students' real names; refer to students with the pronouns in accordance with the sex indicated on their official record unless given a formal written request by parents; and require that students use sex-segregated school facilities that correspond with their biological sex. Where federal law requires transvestites to share in otherwise sex-segregated facilities with students of the opposite sex‚ the new guidelines allow for parents to opt their kids out of using such facilities and to have them provided with alternatives. Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares confirmed in October that the model polices curbing gender ideology and keeping students’ sports and bathrooms sex-segregated were both legitimate and constitutional. Ideology-affirming care Apparently keen to let students transition behind parents’ backs and to allow transvestites to use facilities designated for members of the opposite sex‚ numerous local public school districts rejected the new model policies‚ including Fairfax County Public Schools. In the face of such leftist rebellion‚ Youngkin underscored that his model polices were &;quot;the law and they don’t have a choice.&;quot; Evidently‚ FCPS superintendent Michelle Reid figured she and her underlings were above the law‚ noting in an update last year that FCPS was doubling down on its radical policies and would continue to: address students &;quot;by their chosen names and pronouns&;quot;; provide gender-confused students &;quot;with access to facilities‚ activities‚ and/or trips consistent with their gender identity&;quot;; and keep students' &;quot;gender expansive or transgender status&;quot; under wraps. According to Jane Doe's lawsuit‚ these policies‚ outlined in FCPS' Regulation 2603.2 concerning &;quot;Gender-expansive and Transgender Students‚&;quot; have been used to run roughshod over her constitutional rights. Jane Doe’s complaint notes that Regulation 2603.2 &;quot;purports to apply equally to all students&;quot; but effectively &;quot;elevates the interests of 'gender-expansive' and 'transgender' students at the expense of all others.&;quot; The lawsuit suggests‚ for instance‚ that by enabling those anatomically correct males claiming misalignment between their sex and gender to use girls' lavatories or locker rooms‚ &;quot; The Regulation puts the burden of accommodation on biological females who want to use the appropriate restroom or locker room.&;quot; Besides ceding women’s spaces to gender ideologues‚ the lawsuit suggests further that the policy also surrenders linguistic territory on behalf of staff and students‚ tying Regulation 2603.2 to nondiscrimination and harassment policies‚ such as Regulation 4952.5‚ which forbids &;quot;gender-based harassment.&;quot; Harassment of this kind includes &;quot;gendered name calling‚ gendered remarks that are derogatory in nature — intending to demean or humiliate‚ and harassment based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.&;quot; Jane Doe and other students whose deeply held beliefs are at odds with the ideology coded into school policy do not simply have to deal with the fallout. They apparently have to sign off on it. Values test Fairfax County Public Schools require students and parents to sign a student rights and responsibilities form (SRR) that states students have a right to &;quot;access restroom and locker room facilities and other non-stigmatizing accommodations that are consistent with the student’s gender identity&;quot; as well as to be called by chosen names and pronouns. The SRR indicates further that students are required to &;quot;respect others' beliefs and differences&;quot; and &;quot;refrain from using words‚ images‚ or gestures that are obscene‚ violent‚ disruptive‚ or disrespectful.&;quot; The same document suggests that referring to a &;quot;transgender&;quot; student by their actual sex or legal name could qualify as &;quot;discriminatory harassment.&;quot; Failure to indulge a student's &;quot;gender identity&;quot; could land FCPS students various punishments‚ including weekend detentions‚ suspensions‚ and &;quot;behavioral instruction.&;quot; Lui of Courage Is a Habit suggested that schools are the primary vehicle for what he calls the &;quot;transgender cult.&;quot; Regulation 2603.2 and similar policies are ostensibly a means of codifying cultist beliefs and curbing dissent. &;quot; The majority of kids need to go to public schools. And so they spend the seven hours a day‚ five days a week‚ 13 years in the system‚ and that's where all this transgender ideology comes from‚&;quot; Lui told Blaze News. &;quot; There's a lot of young ladies like [Doe] in K through 12 that think like her‚ but they're bullied into silence — not only by fellow students but by the administration itself.&;quot; &;quot;Kids already have a hard enough time‚ you know‚ with peer pressure and things like that. Now‚ you've got counselors and teachers and principals and our entire culture saying‚ 'If you don't [use] my pronouns‚ there's going to be consequences. There's going to be punishments‚'&;quot; added Lui. Signing off on the problem Doe‚ a senior at a FCPS high school‚ is a devout Roman Catholic &;quot;who strives to live in accordance with her faith daily&;quot; and &;quot;has sincerely held beliefs that govern her views‚ sincerely held beliefs about human nature‚ marriage‚ gender‚ sexuality‚ morality‚ politics‚ ethics‚ natural law‚ and social issues.&;quot; The suit notes that Doe &;quot;believes that referring to another person using pronouns that do not correspond with biological sex is harmful to herself because it forces her to lie.&;quot; Furthermore‚ it indicates she believes on the basis of scientific evidence that gender ideology is more or less bogus. At the beginning of this school year‚ Doe received the latest version of the SRR. Whereas in past years‚ parents would have to sign and acknowledge receipt of the SRR‚ now students must apparently watch a video‚ then take a test regarding the student rights they are to affirm and the corresponding responsibilities they are to assume. &;quot;Signature and acceptance of the SR&;R‚ a requirement of each student‚ was predicated on a student answering 70 percent of the questions 'correctly‚'&;quot; says the complaint. &;quot;FCPS staff did not clearly explain to students that passing the test would result in the signature and acceptance of the SR&;R.&;quot; Controversial elements of the SRR that are at odds with Doe's religious and philosophical beliefs made it into the video she had to watch and into the test she was expected to complete and sign. Doe refused to take the test. This prickled her teacher who allegedly gave her written instruction to complete the test. Doe’s continued refusal reportedly prompted more urging by her teacher‚ both in person and over email. In September‚ Doe was allegedly carted out of the cafeteria with other dissenting students to take the SRR test under supervision. Again‚ she apparently told the administrators to pound sand. The next month‚ Doe's mother got involved‚ allegedly telling the school's principal Doe would not be taking the test as it &;quot;constituted 'compelled speech' on 'gender identity‚' among other topics‚ which were contrary to their religious beliefs and family values.&;quot; Apparently‚ the FCPS was unwilling to give the student's mother the final word. Another employee reportedly told Doe's mom there was no opt-out for the SRR and that she would have to sign. She too refused‚ according to the complaint. Extra to the pressure around the SRR sign-off‚ Doe has allegedly faced immense social pressure from educators over pronoun use and has had to share female spaces with males. &;quot; It is well past time for FCPS to stop sacrificing the constitutional rights of its students so that it can implement a state-sanctioned ideology that demands compliance in speech‚ beliefs‚ and conduct‚&;quot; said Ian Prior of America First Legal. &;quot;Unfortunately‚ FCPS has repeatedly demonstrated that it will not voluntarily comply with the Virginia constitution and the Virginia Supreme Court’s rulings‚ so it will be up to students and parents to enforce their rights through the courts. We are proud to help them do just that.&;quot; In response to questions about the case and its particulars‚ a FCPS spokesman said in a statement to Blaze News‚ &;quot; Our current Fairfax County Public School (FCPS) policies are consistent with federal and state anti-discrimination laws.&;quot; &;quot;FCPS remains committed to fostering a safe‚ supportive‚ welcoming‚ and inclusive school environment for all students and staff‚&;quot; continued the statement. &;quot;Any student who has a need or desire for increased privacy in using a bathroom or locker room‚ regardless of the underlying reason‚ is provided with reasonable accommodations‚ including access to single user facilities.&;quot; Neither FCSB chairman Karl Frish nor FCPS superintendent Reid individually responded to requests for comment. The governor's office did not provide comment by deadline. Parental engagement Both Cobb and Lui stressed that extra to taking legal action‚ parents need to remain engaged with regard to what's going on at their kids' schools. &;quot;I think that parents need to demand the utmost transparency from their school boards and from their superintendents because many parents are simply unaware of the policies within their schools‚ and that’s intentional in some cases‚&;quot; said Cobb. &;quot; It is a county-by-county battle because some counties have resisted now the good guidelines so‚ unfortunately‚ parents now have to be very wary of where they live and who they have in local school board office‚&;quot; continued Cobb. &;quot;Who is governing over the day-to-day experience of their child in that school&;#63; Because there are in fact still many school districts that have biological boys going into girls' bathrooms‚ biological boys playing on girls' sports teams‚ that have compelled speech.&;quot; Cobb referenced the Family Foundation’s &;quot;Protect Every Kid&;quot; initiative‚ which provides parents with Youngkin's updated parent-friendly model policies and what they need to put pressure on their respective school board members to ensure their schools are in alignment. Lui‚ whose organization provides parents with various tools for fighting back against indoctrination in schools‚ stressed the importance of avoiding complacency in the wake of the occasional win. He cited as an example the mistaken sense that Gov. Youngkin’s election meant the war in the commonwealth was over. &;quot;Once he got in‚ there was a sense of‚ 'We won. Yay. We can all go back now to our lives. Youngkin's got it.' And it's that outsourcing of parental responsibility that got us here in the first place‚&;quot; said Lui. &;quot; This was a good showing‚ but that doesn't solve anything.&;quot; Doe and other students are stuck dealing with symptoms of a broader problem that needs to be addressed‚ according to Lui. While Doe winning her lawsuit would be significant‚ Lui stressed that the social contagion must ultimately be dealt with at its source. The parental rights advocate has his sights set on the &;quot;social-emotional learning&;quot; method and its champions at the American School Counselor Association‚ which he figures has been sneaking gender ideology into schools‚ in part through &;quot;language contamination.&;quot; &;quot; They use your vocabulary but not your dictionary. That's something that parents really need to understand is at the root of all of this: language contamination‚&;quot; said Lui. &;quot;Parents have stayed silent because they believe they're just teaching their kids empathy‚ but what they mean is that they're teaching the girls that when they see a boy in the bathroom‚ they need to quiet their own fears and needs and they need to empathize with the boy. They need to give empathy to the mentally ill man that walks into the bathroom. ... That [empathy] only goes one way.&;quot; Having students consent to the ideological takeover as Doe and others have apparently been asked to do is just an escalation in the culture war — &;quot;it's just the next level.&;quot; Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. DHS enlists anti-ICE immigration detention official who doesn't want illegal migrants behind bars

The Biden administration's Department of Homeland Security recently enlisted Michelle Bran&;eacute; to serve as the agency's immigration detention ombudsman‚ according to a Wednesday announcement from the DHS.Bran&;eacute; previously served as the executive director for the department's Family Reunification Task Force and has been an outspoken critic of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In several posts on X‚ Bran&;eacute; accused ICE of using &;quot;abusive enforcement.&;quot;&;quot;ICE already gets billions of taxpayer money to detain asylum seekers‚&;quot; she wrote in 2019. &;quot; They do not need more.&;quot; In another post from 2017‚ Bran&;eacute; stated that the agency &;quot;can not implement detention humanely.&;quot;&;quot;Time to use alternatives and stop using a prison model for civil immigration cases‚&;quot; she declared.Former ICE acting Director Thomas Homan previously stated‚ &;quot; If we wait for [non-criminal undocumented immigrants] to violate yet another law against a citizen of this country‚ then it's too late. We shouldn't wait for them to become a criminal.&;quot;Bran&;eacute; responded to Homan's comments by writing on X‚ &;quot;Sounds like a police state to me.&;quot; She repeatedly slammed the Trump administration‚ claiming the former president's DHS separated migrant children from their parents.&;quot;Yet again - the cruelty of this administration and border policies that punish those seeking protection is shocking. Separating newborns from their mother and lying about hospital policy‚&;quot; Bran&;eacute; said in 2020.In her new position with the DHS‚ Bran&;eacute; will be responsible for scrutinizing ICE's detention of illegal migrants.Jon Feere‚ director of investigations with the Center for Immigration Studies and former ICE chief of staff under the Trump administration‚ told the New York Post that tapping Bran&;eacute; for the position is like &;quot;putting an arsonist in charge of conducting oversight of the U.S. Forest Service.&;quot;&;quot; My guess is that she'll use her new authority to undermine ICE detention efforts‚ which will come in the form of excessive audits and releases of illegal aliens based on unsupported and phony complaints‚&;quot; Feere said.John Fabbricatore‚ a former ICE field office director‚ told the Post that the DHS' decision to appoint Bran&;eacute; &;quot;raises critical questions about the direction and priorities of ICE under the current administration.&;quot;&;quot;Ms. Brane's previous assertions that efforts by ICE to pre-emptively arrest illegal aliens to prevent further crimes equate to a 'police state' underscores a problematic perspective for someone about to hold a significant position in a law enforcement agency‚&;quot; Fabbricatore said. The DHS did not respond to the Post's request for comment.Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. He even published a book‚ &;quot; The Art of the Donald‚&;quot; in 2016. Throughout his time in and out of right-leaning media‚ Bedford has lived in and around Washington‚ D.C.‚ the heart of what former President Donald Trump often referred to as &;quot;the swamp.&;quot; As Blaze News' Washington correspondent and senior politics editor‚ Bedford will remain laser-focused on all things politics‚ including the swamp and its associates. To that end‚ he will author an insider newsletter‚ publish some opinion columns‚ and make frequent appearances on BlazeTV shows to provide subscribers with breaking news and the latest updates from our nation's capital. When asked why he remains in the thick of the swamp and all its attending corruption‚ Bedford gave Blaze News a message of hope. &;quot; There's a good group of religious‚ conservative‚ patriotic people here who are fighting‚ and they're fighting hard‚&;quot; Bedford said. &;quot;I'm not willing to cede the seat of power to folks that want to destroy this country.&;quot; Part of staying in the fight is staying in D.C.‚ he said‚ and engaging in what he sees largely as a spiritual battle masquerading as a political one. &;quot; There are real forces of evil at work in this country and around the world‚&;quot; he said‚ claiming that the &;quot;hysteria and panics that our world has been put through in just the last few years&;quot; are manifestations of other‚ more insidious &;quot;forces at work.&;quot; &;quot;I envy my friends who started families in God-fearing parts of this country‚&;quot; he acknowledged‚ &;quot;but I'm not willing to cede that fight yet.&;quot; Blaze News editor in chief Matthew Peterson couldn't agree more. &;quot;I used to‚ like Chris‚ enjoy Washington‚ D.C.‚ in the deepest sense and visit with great reverence for the history and monuments. The founders were and are very real men to me who accomplished something glorious and great‚&;quot; he said. &;quot; But something has changed‚ and we can feel it now in the city itself — it's an essential‚ spiritual change. Parts of the culture of corruption have really become ugly. Disgusting‚ really. The spirit of the place feels genuinely evil. It wasn't always this way. But if we are going to make things better‚ we need to see clearly through the degeneracy and understand what's truly going on in order to fix it‚&;quot; Peterson added. Peterson and Bedford have been friends for a long time. In fact‚ Bedford has known many Blaze Media leaders for years‚ hoping to find the right time to join together against our common opponents on the political left. That time is now‚ Bedford insisted: &;quot;I'm pumped to be back here with TheBlaze to jump into the 2024 election and onward.&;quot; &;quot;TheBlaze has just done a phenomenal job over the years‚ really building up an American brand that speaks to people far outside the Washington beltway‚&;quot; he continued. &;quot; But now‚ it's well positioned to try to expose and shine some light on what is going on in D.C.&;quot; Sentiments like that make Bedford a great fit at Blaze News‚ Peterson said. &;quot; We increasingly live in a world in which no one is allowed to see‚ never mind say‚ what is actually happening. This is especially true when it comes to our political leaders‚ even those supposedly on 'our side.' The Republican Party is not always honest with its voters‚ and neither are many of those shilling for it in the media on other networks. &;quot;Chris is very rare in that he knows how things actually work in Washington and is willing to call out what he sees. I can't wait to have him giving the play-by-play for our audience.&;quot; To sign up for Christopher Bedford's newsletter‚ click here. Columbia University cancels in-person classes for remainder of semester after pro-Hamas protesters take over campus

Columbia University recently announced that it will no longer hold in-person classes at its main campus for the remainder of the school semester due to the unruly pro-Hamas activists who have taken over the property.Provost Angela Olinto wrote a notice to students and faculty Monday evening explaining that the university's Morningside main campus will switch all courses to &;quot;hybrid — classroom technology permitting — until the end of each school's Spring 2024 semester.&;quot; She noted a &;quot;carveout&;quot; for the campus' arts and practice-based programs‚ noting that those courses would be &;quot;in-person with generous accommodations supported by school deans and staff.&;quot; The university's Medical Center and Manhattanville campuses will continue to hold in-person courses‚ but it will &;quot;grant accommodations based on religious reasons.&;quot;&;quot; All faculty whose classrooms are located on the main Morningside campus and equipped with hybrid capabilities should enable them to provide virtual learning options to students who need such a learning modality‚&;quot; Olinto wrote. &;quot;Faculty in other classrooms or teaching spaces that do not have capabilities for offering hybrid options should hold classes remotely if there are student requests for virtual participation. If the class does not permit adapting to the remote offering format‚ we encourage faculty to provide other accommodations liberally to students who have requested support for virtual learning this week.&;quot; The notice encouraged its administrative officers and support staff to work from home. Olinto stated that &;quot;safety&;quot; is the university's &;quot;highest priority.&;quot; Some students and parents were frustrated by Columbia's announcement and demanded that their nearly $70‚000 per year tuition be refunded‚ the New York Post reported.Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) encouraged parents to &;quot;demand a refund and then sue for breach of contract.&;quot;Michael D'Agostino‚ a 22-year-old junior‚ said‚ &;quot;I'm studying applied physics and applied math and those are classes I really benefit from being in-person. I went through COVID and all that when we were online for about a year and it really disrupted our education.&;quot;&;quot;I really think it's disheartening to see how our education is being punished as a result of this‚&;quot; he added‚ referring to the disruptive and volatile week-long protests.Blaze News previously reported that Shai Davidai‚ an Israel-born Jewish assistant professor at Columbia Business School‚ had his school identification card deactivated on Monday‚ preventing him from accessing the university's main campus. He stated that the school told him it stopped him from entering the school grounds because it could not guarantee his safety amid the ongoing anti-Israel protests. JUST IN: Columbia University has announced classes will be remote for the rest of the year as anti-Israel protests rock the school.

There are now growing calls for tuition refunds for the $70k a year college now that it has practically turned into an online school.

&;quot; It’s vital… — (@) Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Why single women don't vote Republican (and probably never will)

Why single women don't vote Republican (and probably never will)

While many Republicans blame Donald Trump for the lack of female support in their party‚ women’s blue voting patterns began far before his reign. And Steve Deace has the receipts. As early as 2004‚ John Kerry polled at 18+ points more with unmarried women than George Bush‚ who polled at 10+ points more with married women. The trend continued with each election up until 2020‚ with the only exception being Hillary Clinton polling at 2+ points more than Trump with married women and 29+ points more with unmarried women. “This is the spiritual condition of unmarried women because this is driven all by one particular issue: unmarried women just want to be able to kill their children whenever they want‚” Deace explains‚ adding‚ “It’s not any more complicated than that.” And he’s not hopeful it will change. “There’s really not even much we can do to bridge this gap‚ frankly. Because what’s the number one most loyal issue voting base in the Republican Party&;#63;” Deace asks‚ “the pro-life base.” “The more married you are‚ the more you tend to vote Republican‚ and the less married you are‚ the more you tend to vote Democratic‚” he continues. “It’s really the number one dividing line of voting patterns in America.” Want more from Steve Deace&;#63;To enjoy more of Steve's take on national politics‚ Christian worldview‚ and principled conservatism with a snarky twist‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

NBC to attach heart rate monitors to athletes' parents during 2024 Olympics — possibly with onscreen sponsors

NBCUniversal is making big changes to its 2024 Summer Olympics coverage from Paris‚ France. In addition to reeling in network stars‚ the broadcaster will have parents of Olympic athletes wearing heart rate monitors to gauge their stress levels. With a gigantic investment into Olympic coverage‚ the media giant is admittedly looking to broaden its audience beyond a typical demographic for the summer games in Paris. NBC Sports President Rick Cordella even stated that the network would be using the kind of celebrity that &;quot;wouldn't have been part of&;quot; its coverage of the past. &;quot; We've got to be innovating‚ trying things differently‚ trying to match where the media world is in 2024‚&;quot; he told Variety.Part of that innovation reportedly involves hooking up some excited parents to medical equipment. Five heart rate monitors affixed to the parents of Olympic athletes will be used at any given time‚ with data shown onscreen as their child competes. The network claimed that test audiences loved the idea. The possibility of getting sponsors for the medical data has also been discussed at the network. &;quot; We are talking about it‚&;quot; said NBC ad-sales executive Dan Lovinger. It was not made clear whether the heart rate monitors would be placed on only American athletes' parents nor were the specific sports they would be used in revealed.NBCU will use celebrity correspondentsMolly Solomon‚ an executive producer at NBC‚ said that it was important for the network to have &;quot;some new voices and some fan voices.&;quot; While sports need to be the primary focus‚ there's nothing wrong with &;quot;a couple of short bursts of energy‚&;quot; she added. Some of those new voices will be very familiar‚ as NBCU has acquired the services of rapper Snoop Dogg‚ singer Kelly Clarkson‚ host Jimmy Fallon‚ and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning. Paris @NBCOlympics is only a few months away yall&;#33;&;#33; 🇫🇷 So I called my granddaughter Cordoba to help me learn a few words ✏️ 💜 — (@) Snoop Dogg will reportedly deliver man-on-the-street observations with his off-the-cuff reactions and reportedly said he &;quot;wants to be the biggest kid at the Olympics‚ to be silly‚ [and] to be sincere.&;quot;According to Solomon‚ Snoop wants to &;quot;celebrate love and respect.&;quot;Manning and Clarkson will cohost the opening ceremony with legendary sports broadcaster Mike Tirico. &;quot;I love finding out how people overcome their circumstances‚ how they get to where they are‚ especially at this level‚&;quot; Clarkson commented.Tirico will later be joined by Fallon for the closing ceremony at the culmination of the games. On streaming service Peacock NBCU hopes to capitalize on its younger audience by employing Alex Cooper‚ host of one of the most popular female-centric podcasts of all time‚ &;quot;Call Her Daddy.&;quot;Cooper will host a series of live‚ interactive watch parties. Alex Cooper will be at the Paris Olympic Games this summer to host Watch with Alex Cooper‚ a series of live interactive watch parties streaming on Peacock. — (@) NBCU purchased the rights to the Olympic coverage through 2032 for a reported $7.8 billion. At the same time‚ the network has raked in about $1.2 billion in ad revenue commitments already. The opening ceremonies for the 2024 Summer Olympics will take place on July 26‚ 2024‚ and will air through August 11‚ 2024. NFL legend Peyton Manning stars in a hilarious new promo for NBC coverage of the 2024 Olympics in Paris — and he’s got some big ideas. @NBCOlympics — (@) Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Scalding hot toilet water burns infant; parents arrested

Two parents in South Carolina were arrested earlier this month after scalding hot water in their toilet somehow managed to burn their infant child several weeks before. On March 18‚ police received a call about an infant who had sustained burns at a residence in Kingstree‚ South Carolina‚ a city of some 3‚300 residents about 75 miles north of Charleston. When Williamsburg County deputies arrived on the scene‚ they discovered a child who had been &;quot;severely burned by hot water from the bathroom toilet‚&;quot; a Facebook post from the sheriff's office said.Investigators eventually took the temperature of the toilet water using a digital thermometer. According to reports‚ the thermometer showed the water was nearly 130 degrees Fahrenheit. For reference‚ most hot tubs reportedly have a maximum temperature of 104 degrees F‚ and water boils at 212 degrees F.The sheriff's office then issued a warrant for the arrest of the child's parents: 25-year-old Nijel Flowers and 21-year-old Mahogahany Hemingway. Flowers and Hemingway surrendered on April 11‚ nearly a month after the burning incident. Both were charged with one count of unlawful conduct toward a child‚ a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 10 years‚ and booked into Williamsburg County Detention Center.&;quot;Nijel Flowers and Mahogahany Hemingway placed their infant child at unreasonable risk‚ affecting the infant’s life‚ health and safety by allowing the infant to be severely burned by hot water from the bathroom toilet‚&;quot; the Facebook post stated.According to the warrants‚ the parents admitted that they had known the toilet water was &;quot;extremely hot&;quot; for approximately a year‚ but &;quot;did not take the proper steps to correct the problem.&;quot; The Facebook post from the sheriff's office emphasized just how young the child is‚ describing him or her as an &;quot;infant&;quot; nearly a half-dozen times. Yet it is unclear how a baby so young came in such close proximity to toilet water in the first place. An investigation into the case remains ongoing.
