“Let’s Write That One Next”- Country Music Fans Think A Megan Moroney/Brad Paisley Collaboration Is On The Way

“Let’s Write That One Next”- Country Music Fans Think A Megan Moroney/Brad Paisley Collaboration Is On The Way

Now, this is something I can get down with. While all this is speculation, Megan Moroney and Brad Paisley have been having some fun banter on X, leading fans to believe a collaboration might be in the works. Megan Moroney had a stellar 2024, and it appears she is also laying the groundwork for a stellar 2025. The Emo Cowgirl already has a busy schedule as she is preparing to embark on her Am I Okay? Tour. While Mornoey has not announced any new music for this year, one would expect she'd keep the roll going after the release of her sophomore record and give fans a few singles or maybe even a new project at some point this year. Based on this friendly social media conversation between her and Brad Paisley, is this her Easter Egg that her first single of this calendar year will be with the "I'm Gonna Miss Her" singer? Yesterday, the Georgia native posted on X that her favorite record of all time is Paisley's Mud On The Tires. She then listed some of the songs on the tracklist. "No one asked, but 'Mud On The Tires' is my favorite album of all time." https://twitter.com/_megmoroney/status/1882186296086729215 https://twitter.com/_megmoroney/status/1882186559635796026 Mud On The Tires must have been on repeat for Moroney as she shared again that day that she hoped he was doing well wherever he was and whatever he was doing. https://twitter.com/_megmoroney/status/1882186759792128227 Soon after, Paisley pipped up on social media, noting that he was doing well and loved seeing Moroney's posts about him on X. "Megan Moroney, to answer your question… sitting in the waiting room at the dentist's office for my kid's appointment, and this made my day." After he replied, someone needed to check on the "Am I Okay?" singer to see if she was genuinely alright as she reacted to his response. https://twitter.com/_megmoroney/status/1882227960884953534 However, Moroney did not repost another of his replies, which suggests the two get together to write soon (if they haven't already). In response to Moroney's post about Mud On The Tires being her favorite record, Paisley noted that two of her songs are his last two Shazam searches. "You are two of my last Shazams…I love 'Tennessee Orange,' but I’m partial to West Virginia Blue…so let’s write that one next!" https://twitter.com/BradPaisley/status/1882202476352516451 To be honest, I had no idea people still used Shazam... total dad move on Paisley's part, but I'm here for it. His last sentence suggesting they write a follow-up to "Tennessee Orange" championing his home state, "West Virginia Blue," could be an absolute heater. However, the part where Paisley says "next" also indicates that these two might already have a collaboration that has yet to be released. Many fans began commenting that they loved the idea of these two teaming up for a song and hope to see a collaboration between them one day. "Y'all have to collab like are you kidding me." "No one asked, but this would be my favorite collab ever." "The collab the world needs." "Someone check her pulse." "MEG IS GONNA CRASH OUT." "If his collab happened, someone would need to check my pulse to make sure my heart is still beating!" This might be social media banter, but it looks like fans would eat this up, so hopefully, it is true. While you're here, fire up the title track of Moroney's favorite record, "Mud On The Tires." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o23r5MBetyE

“Devil Can’t Keep Me Down” – Colt Ford Is Going Back On The Road In 2025 After Suffering Near-Fatal Heart Attack Last Year

“Devil Can’t Keep Me Down” – Colt Ford Is Going Back On The Road In 2025 After Suffering Near-Fatal Heart Attack Last Year

Not even a heart attack - and clinically being dead three times - can slow down Colt Ford. Though Ford spent most of 2024 recovering after he suffered a heart attack last April, he's ready to get back on the road in 2025. Colt had just walked off stage after a sold-out show at the Gilbert, Arizona, location of Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row when he collapsed after suffering a heart attack. The singer/songwriter was rushed to Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, where he was considered to be in critical condition in the hospital's intensive care unit. Weeks after the scary incident, the 54-year-old spoke publicly for the first time on the Big D & Bubba Show, detailing the scary event while he was still in the hospital: “It’s just been a traumatic, crazy experience, guys. I don’t even remember coming out here to do a show in Phoenix. I died three times. Luckily, my band came out to check on me…they came out to check on me, and then all of a sudden they were like, ‘Oh God,’ and then that is when all hell broke loose.” This Mayo Clinic out here in Phoenix, if it was going to happen, God could not have had me in a better place. The big doc out here said, ‘I wouldn’t give me 1%, but I give you 0.1% that you’d survive.' They brought me back. They saved my life. The Lord had more for me to do.” That "more" that Colt Ford was alluding to there seems to be getting kicked off with some tour dates for 2025. The country singer, who has eight studio albums under his belt, is getting back on the road with his band after their 2024 was cut short because of the terrifying medical incident. And Colt Ford was always planning to get back into the swing of things, even while he was still in the hospital last year a month after his heart attack. Here's a message he shared while still in his hospital gown and a wheel chair: “Hey guys, it’s Colt here. I am fighting so hard every day to get back to my family, my friends…my fans. I love y’all so much. I got my a** out of bed and, with the help of some wonderful nurses, got in a wheelchair. They brought me outside so I could feel a little sun on my face. First time in a long time…it feels good. I still got a long way to go, but if you think I ain’t coming back…bet against me. See what happens.” https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6rfSNiODT4/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=f1b91b44-4b2b-4691-85f4-f481847ed13b Did anyone bet against him? Nope? Didn't think so. Sure enough, Colt Ford took to his Instagram earlier this week to share that he's feeling great and he's heading back on the road this year. In the clip, the country singer looks health and energetic as he shares the exciting news with his fan base: "What's up y'all? It's your boy Colt Ford. Y’all come check me out. I’m going to be back out on the road this year. The devil couldn’t keep me down baby. I’ll see y’all on the road." https://www.instagram.com/p/DFHDKc9xvQ-/ There are no official tour dates announced just yet (other than Ford playing the Country Concert 25 in Fort Loramie, Ohio in July), but fans will surely be at the ready to go out and support the "Country Must Be Country Wide" singer.

Trump to Appoint Witkoff to Iran Role

President Donald Trump is expected to give Steve Witkoff, his Middle East envoy, the responsibility of addressing American concerns over Iran’s nuclear program, per a report in the Financial Times. Witkoff has served as the Trump administration’s Middle East envoy and played a major role in negotiating the Gaza ceasefire deal. The move is part of the broad push to “stop the wars” by the new Trump administration. Witkoff is tasked with gauging whether diplomatic accommodation with Tehran is possible. The appointment would continue a shift in Trump’s Iran strategy on Iran. While Trump implemented a strategy of “maximum pressure” through sanctions on Iran during his first term, during the 2024 campaign he opposed regime change in Iran, and Elon Musk allegedly met Iran’s UN ambassador shortly after the election to discuss diplomacy. Witkoff will also remain responsible for the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire deal.  The post Trump to Appoint Witkoff to Iran Role appeared first on The American Conservative.

2 bands that John Lennon said that he liked in the 70s

The Beatles came to an end in 1970 after becoming in only a few years the biggest band in the world and the most influential one. The guitarist and singer John Lennon was one of the fundamental parts of the group since with Paul McCartney, he formed one of the most successful songwriting duos of the history of music. In the 70s, he released many highly praised solo records, paid attention to new bands, and even mentioned two groups from that decade as ones he liked. 2 bands that John Lennon said that he liked in the 70s B-52s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4QSYx4wVQg&pp=ygUFQi01MnM%3D It was in an interview with Playboy magazine in 1980, not long before he was tragically murdered in New York City, outside the Dakota Building at the age of 40, that he mentioned these two groups. The first one was the B-52s, group formed in Athens, Georgia in 1976. "I enjoy the B-52s, because I heard them doing Yoko. It's great. If Yoko ever goes back to her old sound, they'll be saying, 'Yeah, she's copying the B-52s,'" John Lennon said. The Beatle was referring to a scream Cindy Wilson does in the middle of the song "Rock Lobster", which is similar to what Yoko used to do in some tracks. Talking to Rolling Stone magazine in 1980, just a few days before his death, Lennon explained how he first heard "Rock Lobster" for the first time. The song was part of the band's self-titled debut album, released in 1979. It served as an inspiration for Lennon to record new songs. “I was at a dance club one night in Bermuda. Upstairs, they were playing disco, and downstairs I suddenly heard ‘Rock Lobster’ by the B-52’s for the first time. Do you know it? It sounds just like Yoko’s music. So I said to meself, ‘It’s time to get out the old ax and wake the wife up!'” John Lennon said. According to the band's vocalist Fred Schneider, Lennon liked the beat and how crazy the track was. "He liked the beat and how crazy it was. When Cindy does that 'Aaaah', wild vocal. That definitely by Yoko and I think (there is) something registered," he told Howard Stern in 2010 The Pretenders https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H6re3PCP3E The other band mentioned by Lennon at the time were The Pretenders, led by the guitarist and singer Chrissie Hynde. "Well, I like all music (these days), depending on what time of day it is. I don't like styles of music or people per se. I can't say I enjoy the Pretenders, but I like their hit record." The album John Lennon mentioned was their self-titled record released in 1980. It had praised songs like "Precious", "Stop Your Sobbing", "Private Life" and "Brass in Pocket". It peaked at number one on the United Kingdom albums chart and 9 on the  United States Billboard 200. The British group was formed in Hereford, England back in 1978. But Chrissie Hynde was actually born in the United States. Besides her, on the first album the band was formed by Martin Chambers (Drums), Pete Farndon (Bass) and James Honeyman-Scott (Guitar, keyboards). The post 2 bands that John Lennon said that he liked in the 70s appeared first on Rock and Roll Garage.
