The report, which was reviewed by Just The News, slammed the president for accusing prosecutors of being political when he pardoned his son. Weiss has denied allegations that the prosecution was politically motivated, arguing that multiple judges have ruled that the prosecution was not vindictive, after attorneys for the younger Biden made the same argument in legal filings. “Calling those rulings into question and injecting partisanship into the independent administration of the law undermines the very foundation of what makes America’s justice system fair and equitable,” Weiss wrote. “It erodes public confidence in an institution that is essential to preserving the rule of law.” The president previously claimed people are not usually prosecuted for falsely filing out a gun form without aggravating factors, or for being late in filing taxes because of addiction when they’ve paid all the fees back with interest and other penalties. “Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions,” the president said at the time. “It is clear that Hunter was treated differently.” Weiss said the president’s accusations do not just harm prosecutors, but also the Justice Department and other public servants. “Politicians who attack the decisions of career prosecutors as politically motivated when they disagree with the outcome of a case undermine the public’s confidence in our criminal justice system,” Weiss wrote. “The President’s statements unfairly impugn the integrity not only of Department of Justice personnel, but all of the public servants making these difficult decisions in good faith.” Weiss also posited that Hunter Biden took advantage of his last name while Joe Biden was vice president in order to secure lucrative business opportunities, and willfully chose not to pay over $1.4 million in taxes, despite making more than $7 million between 2016 and 2020. “Mr. Biden made this money by using his last name and connections to secure lucrative business opportunities, such as a board seat at a Ukrainian industrial conglomerate, Burisma Holdings Limited, and a joint venture with individuals associated with a Chinese energy conglomerate,” Weiss wrote. The special counsel added that the money was earned while doing “limited work.” The admission from Weiss comes after Republicans have long accused Hunter Biden of taking advantage of his last name in order to secure high-paying jobs. Wyoming GOP Rep. Harriet Hageman commented on the report during Monday’s episode of the “Just The News, No Noise” TV show, claiming that the report went beyond Hunter Biden to the entire Biden family, and should make people question how Hunter Biden’s foreign connections have compromised national security. “I constantly have to question the position that this administration has taken with regard to China,” Hageman said. “All of these are countries that had contact with and were paying Hunter Biden massive amounts of money, and that’s why this is an important issue for the American people, because we cannot allow family members of elected officials to be able to sell our country to the highest bidder of foreign countries.”

Police have charged a Texas man for allegedly stalking WNBA star Caitlin Clark. Michael Lewis, 55, was arrested on Sunday in Indianapolis, Indiana, the same city where Clark’s team, the Indiana Fever, played. I joined the military because I love my country and felt an obligation to defend it. I served with incredible Americans in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, Afghanistan and in the streets of Washington, D.C. — many of which are here today. This includes enlisted soldiers I helped become American citizens, and Muslim allies I helped immigrate from Iraq and Afghanistan. And when I took off the uniform, my mission never stopped. It is true that I don’t have a similar biography to Defense Secretaries of the last 30 years. But, as President Trump also told me, we’ve repeatedly placed people atop the Pentagon with supposedly “the right credentials” — whether they are retired generals, academics, or defense contractor executives — and where has it gotten us? He believes, and I humbly agree, that it’s time to give someone with dust on his boots the helm. A change agent. Someone with no vested interest in certain companies or specific programs or approved narratives. My only special interest is — the warfighter. Deterring wars, and if called upon, winning wars — by ensuring our warriors never enter a fair fight. We let them win and then bring them home. Like many of my generation, I’ve been there. I’ve led troops in combat…been on patrol for days … pulled a trigger downrange … heard bullets whiz by … flex-cuffed insurgents … called in close air support … led medevacs … dodged IEDs … pulled out dead bodies … and knelt before a battlefield cross.
