US federal debt has hit RECORD high — does America stand a chance?

The Biden administration has set an incredible new record, as the U.S. federal government’s public debt has skyrocketed to an unprecedented $35 trillion. Data released from the U.S. Treasury Department revealed that the gross national debt hit $35,001,278,179,208.67 — which equates to $104,497 per person in the U.S. In early January this year, the U.S. had hit $34 trillion in debt. Pat Gray and Keith Malinak of “Pat Gray Unleashed” are in shock. “I just want to point out that back around the year 2000, U2 lead singer, Bono, was campaigning to get the debt of African nations erased,” Malinak laughs. “I would like to submit the United States of America for the next jubilee celebration, Bono, at our $35 trillion.” “This is insane, man,” he adds. Gray doesn’t think Bono is going to be able to do much to save our republic. “The only thing that could save us — and I don’t know that this saves us or ends us — but when inflation gets to the point where we’re the Weimar Republic, then we’ll just pay off the debt with, you know, this morning's salary,” Gray laughs, adding, “like they did in Weimar.” While they might be joking now, they are incredibly concerned as to what this means for America. “It’s trouble,” Malinak says. “This is part of why people today can’t afford homes. This is all connected here. This is not good.” Want more from Pat Gray?To enjoy more of Pat's biting analysis and signature wit as he restores common sense to a senseless world, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Chevron leaves anti-fossil fuels California, plans move to Texas

The Chevron Corporation announced Friday that it plans to relocate its headquarters, which are currently located in California, to Texas. The company stated that its senior leaders, including Chevron chairman and CEO Mike Wirth and Vice Chairman Mark Nelson, will move to Houston by the end of 2024.'Difficult place to invest.'The relocation should not immediately impact its employees based in San Ramon, the site of its current headquarters. However, according to a company press release, Chevron plans to move "all corporate functions" to Houston over the next five years."Positions in support of the company's California operations will remain in San Ramon," Chevron stated. The company already has approximately 7,000 employees based in Houston and roughly 2,000 in San Ramon.A December report from Fortune explained that Chevron was decreasing its oil-refinery investments in California, citing an "adversarial business climate."Andy Walz, president of Chevron's Americas Products business, said at the time, "California's policies have made it a difficult place to invest so we have rejected capital projects in the state."A spokesperson for California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) told the Daily Caller News Foundation, "This announcement is the logical culmination of a long process that has repeatedly been foreshadowed by Chevron.""We're proud of California's place as the leading creator of clean energy jobs – a critical part of our diverse, innovative, and vibrant economy," the spokesperson added. Many businesses have decided to pack their bags and head to red states over California's progressive policies.Last month, Musk announced plans to move both SpaceX and X headquarters to Texas after Democrats passed AB1955, a law prohibiting schools from requiring parental notification regarding their children's gender and sexual orientation.Musk wrote on X, "This is the final straw. Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas."In a separate post, he said, "And ? HQ will move to Austin.""Have had enough of dodging gangs of violent drug addicts just to get in and out of the building," he added.Musk already moved Tesla headquarters to Austin earlier this year.Several insurance carriers have also fled the state. In response to Chevron's announcement, Texas Governor Greg Abbott wrote on X, "WELCOME HOME Chevron! Texas is your true home. Drill baby drill."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Can Republicans Beat Kamala Harris and the Media?

The press makes itself vulnerable when it attempts to alter the course of events rather than simply report on them.

Rare Roman Era Fort Found in Farmer’s Field in Pembrokeshire, Wales

For just the third time ever, an explorer has discovered the ruins of an ancient Roman fort in Wales. The broken and scattered remains of this nearly 2,000-year-old military structure were found hidden in an overgrown field in the seaside county of Pembrokeshire by Dr. Mark Merrony, a Roman scholar who teaches at Wolfson College, Oxford. “It is a humongous fort, an incredible find of national importance,” Merrony told the Guardian, adding that he was “absolutely thrilled” about being responsible for such an amazing find. The Oxford scholar believes the fort would have been constructed sometime between the first and third centuries AD, when the Roman Empire occupied the lands of the United Kingdom. It is the second Roman fort discovered in Pembrokeshire specifically, with the other having been excavated at Wiston near the municipality of Haverfordwest in 2013. In addition to finding the remains of the fort, Merrony was also able to verify that a road running beside it was Roman in origin. He was able to do this because the road actually connects the fort in the field with the second one located at Wiston. Read moreSection: NewsHistory & ArchaeologyAncient PlacesEuropeRead Later
