EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Roy Reintroduces Bill to Prohibit Inaccurate Pronouns on Passports

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, introduced a bill Friday to prevent passports from being used to promote “radical gender ideology.” The Passport Sanity Act prohibits the secretary of state from issuing a passport, passport card, or Consular Report of Birth Abroad that includes the unspecified (X) gender designation. “Radical gender ideology must be eliminated from every facet of the American government, root and branch,” Roy told The Daily Signal. “Passports exist to protect our national security by verifying the identity of those who exit and reenter our country, and that’s why they need to be grounded in reality. They are not a political delivery system to push a false notion that goes against the fact that the only two genders in existence are male and female,” he added. 119 Bill Text Passport Sanity ActDownload The bill, which Roy first introduced in 2022, requires applications for foreign travel documents to include only the gender designations of male or female. On President Donald Trump’s first day in office, he issued an executive order directing the secretaries of state and homeland security and the director of the Office of Personnel Management to require that government-issued identification documents—including passports, visas, and Global Entry cards—reflect the holder’s biological sex. The executive order defines sex as “an individual’s immutable biological classification as either male or female.” Roy’s bill would codify the executive order in federal law so it cannot be overturned by the next Democratic president. “Now, President Trump and Secretary [Marco] Rubio have rightly restored sanity to America’s passports as part of this administration’s revolution of common sense,” Roy said. “Congress needs to back them up, codify it, and make it permanent.” The post EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Watch: Fed-Up Phoenix Cops Make Their Move, Deploy the Mean Green Gas as Deportation Riots Continue

You knew the anti-deportation protesters would come out of the woodwork. After all, they have nothing better to do and have absorbed so much propaganda that they almost cannot help themselves. The comic impotence of the ill-informed, grievance-mongering, useful idiots who protest on behalf of leftist causes, however, should not...

BREAKING: Search Underway As American Aircraft With 10 On Board Goes Missing

I cover the news for a living and when I came across this post from Shannon Watts it caught my attention: How is a missing American aircraft with 10 people on board not a major story this morning? — Shannon Watts (@shannonrwatts) February 7, 2025 She’s right, I’ve been covering the news since I woke up today, and this story had not crossed my desk yet. But it’s real and it absolutely should be covered. #BREAKING: Search underway after a Bering Air flight carrying 10 passengers has gone missing #Nome | #Alaska At this time Emergency crews in Nome, Alaska, are urgently searching for a missing aircraft. The Bering Air Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX, registration number N321BA, carrying 10 passengers, departed from Unalakleet, Alaska, on a scheduled flight to Nome but disappeared en route. The aircraft last made contact shortly after takeoff before vanishing from radar. Search and rescue teams, including local authorities and the Alaska Air National Guard, have launched a coordinated ground and aerial search. Officials are urging residents in remote areas to report any signs of wreckage as efforts intensify. How does a plane just “go missing”? Don’t we have sufficient technology in 2025 that something like this should never happen? We should have sufficient technology to prevent crashes as well, but just “gone missing”?  Really, in 2025? Here’s what we know so far from the AP: Rescuers searched Friday for any sign of a plane that went missing while carrying 10 people across Alaska’s Norton Sound south of the Arctic Circle. The U.S. Coast Guard HC-130 Hercules crew searched the area between White Mountain and Nome but did not find the missing plane, officials said on X. A Jayhawk helicopter was brought in early Friday. A National Transportation Safety Board spokesperson said the agency is monitoring the situation. The Bering Air Caravan, a single-engine turboprop, was heading from Unalakleet to Nome on Thursday afternoon with nine passengers and a pilot, according to Alaska’s Department of Public Safety. Authorities were working to determine its last known coordinates. Unalakleet is a community of about 690 people in western Alaska, about 150 miles (about 240 kilometers) southeast of Nome and 395 miles (about 640 kilometers) northwest of Anchorage. The disappearance marks the third major U.S. aviation mishap in eight days. A commercial jetliner and an Army helicopter collided near the nation’s capital on Jan. 29, killing 67 people. A medical transportation plane crashed in Philadelphia on Jan. 31, killing the six people onboard and another person on the ground. The Cessna Caravan left Unalakleet at 2:37 p.m., and officials lost contact with it less than an hour later, according to David Olson, director of operations for Bering Air. The aircraft was 12 miles (19 kilometers) offshore, the U.S. Coast Guard said. It was operating at its maximum passenger capacity, according to the airline’s description of the plane. “Staff at Bering Air is working hard to gather details, get emergency assistance, search and rescue going,” Olson said. Bering Air serves 32 villages in western Alaska from hubs in Nome, Kotzebue and Unalakleet. Most destinations receive twice-daily scheduled flights Monday through Saturday. Absolutely terrifying, imagine being lost or stranded up in the Arctic circle…. Polar bears and Grizzlies everywhere. Temps at dangerously low conditions. No help for miles. Absolutely devastating. CNN adds the following: On Thursday evening, hours after contact was lost, conditions around Nome Airport included light snow and freezing drizzle. At one point, visibility was down to half a mile, with forecasts of wind gusts up to 35 mph overnight. “If that bad weather coated the wings with ice … the performance of the aircraft would degrade, and it could stall and crash,” CNN aviation analyst Miles O’Brien said Friday morning. “But there are places where the ice (in the sea below) is actually thick enough to support the craft, so that should give searchers some bit of hope.” Visibility appeared to be better for searchers Friday morning, with clear skies reported at Nome Airport around 7 a.m., with winds around 10 mph and temperatures of around 7 degrees. The fire department urged the public not to form their own search parties due to the weather and safety concerns. The FBI is assisting the search with technical resources, including working to geolocate cell phones of the plane’s passengers, a bureau spokesperson told CNN. FBI field offices have personnel specially trained in analyzing cellular telephone tower data, which can assist authorities in geolocating the last registered location of a device. The flight tracker also showed a Coast Guard HC-130 flying near the plane’s last known location on Thursday evening, with the fire department saying it carried “specialized equipment for search and rescue that enables them to locate objects and people through no visibility conditions.” The Coast Guard searched an area between Nome and White Mountain but found nothing, the service said Friday morning. A Coast Guard helicopter crew also was heading to the area to help, the service said. The National Guard and the Air Force each had a C-130 searching, also, but neither had reported seeing the missing craft as of 12:30 a.m. local time Friday, the fire department said. We’ll continue to monitor and bring you updates as we have them.

WATCH: Passengers Restrain Disruptive Man On Commercial Plane Who Cracked Window Mid-Flight

Chaos erupted on a Frontier Airlines flight from Denver to Houston after an unruly passenger repeatedly punched the seat in front of him and cracked an interior window panel. The man became erratic approximately 20 minutes into the flight on Tuesday. According to ABC News, the incident started when a woman asked the man behind her to switch seats. Another passenger on the flight said the man became enraged, started hitting the woman’s seat, and tried to break the window. “I started having a panic attack,” Victoria Clark told ABC News. “[I thought] it could be a terrorist attack,” Clark added. Video footage shows the moment fellow passengers used makeshift restraints to tie down the combative flyer. Full story: https://t.co/AxP2VOh9ie pic.twitter.com/6MF2zBo8QH — KHOU 11 News Houston (@KHOU) February 7, 2025 Per ABC News: The man continued to hit the window and was eventually able to crack it, passengers said. Without an air marshal on board, flight attendants asked if there was any law enforcement to help, passengers recounted. That’s when Tanner Phillips, a former member of the military, said he stepped in. “This guy was just going crazy,” Phillips told ABC News. “He was screaming in multiple languages, punching out the window and laying back and trying to kick it out. I wanted to help as much as I could.” Phillips said he and several others grabbed hold of the man, using zip ties and boot laces to restrain him and put him back in his seat. Instead of making an emergency landing, the flight continued toward its destination of Houston — forcing the group of good Samaritans to ensure the man did not escape for about two hours. The man’s blood was everywhere around the window and the ceiling of the aircraft, since the Plexiglas cut up his hands, Phillips said. To the shock of the complete cabin, the man onboard Frontier Flight 4856 from Denver to Houston started kicking and punching a window and had to be restrained by his fellow passengers,” FL360aero wrote. “According to police, the man tried to speak with a woman in the row in front of him, but she didn’t respond. Frontier Flight 4856 was traveling from Denver to Houston and landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport at 11:10 p.m. without any further incident reported,” it added. The passengers sitting next to and in front of the man left their seats to escape the potential threat. Clark — who was traveling with her 3-year-old — recalled not seeing any of the flight crew nearby. “The flight attendants, they just disappeared — they went to go ask for help but I don’t know where they went at the time,” Clark recalled from her view directly across the aisle. “It’s just me and this man and I start freaking out, having a panic attack. Tears, I start screaming for help, ‘Somebody come help us, I’m scared,’” she said. Chaotic video recorded by Clark captured the heroic passengers — including Clark’s fiancé, who was seated several rows away — stepping up to detain the man. Six travelers used shoelaces and flex cuffs to secure the man, the outlet reported. The man remained in the makeshift restraints for the flight’s remaining hour and a half. Police detained the man and escorted him off the plane when the flight landed at Bush Intercontinental Airport at 11:10 p.m. He was seen being rolled through the airport, restrained to a wheelchair, according to video obtained by KHOU. Houston police have not released the man’s name or any motive for the midair outburst.

State Lawmakers Introduce Legislation To Remove Religious Exemptions For Vaccinations

State lawmakers in Hawaii last month introduced legislation to eliminate religious exemptions for vaccinations required to attend school. Looks like the gov't of Hawaii is trying to repeal its religious exemption to vaccination, denying families any semblance of informed consent. Please take a look.https://t.co/ffMx18hl12 — Mary S. Holland, Esq. (@maryhollandnyc) February 5, 2025 “The legislature finds that school entry immunization requirements have been shown to be effective in improving immunization coverage rates.  Based on decades of strong evidence of effectiveness, the United States Department of Health and Human Services Task Force on Community Preventive Services recommended the continued implementation of school immunization requirements as a means of increasing immunization coverage, thereby reducing disease incidence.  When ninety-five per cent of individuals in a community are immunized, those persons serve as a protective barrier against the likelihood of transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases in the community,” Hawaii Senate Bill 1437 reads. “The legislature further finds that decreasing immunization coverage due to non-medical exemptions increases the risk for vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks that can be fatal to children.  In Hawaii for the 2015–2016 school year, the rate of non-medical immunization exemption was 2.5 per cent.  The rate of non-medical immunization exemption more than doubled to 5.3 per cent for the 2023–2024 school year.  The rate of non-medical exemptions varied by school with fifty-five of the 382 schools that reported for school year 2023-2024 having a non-medical immunization exemption rate greater than ten per cent,” it continues. “The legislature finds that since the health and safety of Hawaii’s keiki are paramount, the State has a compelling interest in protecting the public against deadly diseases considering an increasing trend in non-medical immunization exemptions, while honoring certain non-medical exemptions that previously have been approved. Accordingly, the purpose of this Act is to improve the health and safety of school-aged children by minimizing exemptions from school immunization requirements,” the bill reads. Hawaii Tomorrow the health committee will be hearing Bill# HB1118. This bill will REMOVE religious exemptions to vaccination for school entry. Hawaii had no notice. They introduced this bill a week ago and provided 48 hour notice for the meeting set tomorrow. Fight!!!!!… pic.twitter.com/szVYHRSEmY — Informed NJ Nurses (@InformedNJNurse) February 7, 2025 The Defender reports: Democratic state Sen. Ron Kouchi on Jan. 23 introduced Senate Bill 1437 — which has a corresponding House Bill 1118. The bill aims to eliminate all non-medical exemptions as a way to ensure high rates of vaccination coverage. The House version of the bill will be discussed in a health committee hearing this Friday. In addition to testifying during the public section of that hearing, several organizations are planning a rally at the legislature on Feb. 20, when legislators are supposed to recess and hear feedback from their constituents. According to the bill, 95% coverage is necessary to protect against the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases by creating “herd immunity.” Non-medical exemption rates in Hawaii have grown over the last 10 years from 2.5% in the 2015-2016 school year to 5.3% in the 2023-2024 school year, according to the bill. Rates among individual schools vary, with 55 of 382 reporting schools having exemption rates of over 10%. If passed, the law would allow children who were granted exemptions in the 2024-2025 school year or prior to maintain their exemptions. Hawaii’s proposed legislation is a national outlier, as public opinion on exemptions has become more favorable in recent years. We need your help to stop two terrible bills, Hawaii HB 1118, and its companion SB 1437, which remove the religious exemption for school mandated vaccines by phasing it out.See NVIC’s Action Alert: https://t.co/8kLDUZkU0hHB 1118 is scheduled for a hearing in the House Health… pic.twitter.com/XmnS41QM7d — Dawn Richardson, Director of Advocacy for NVIC (@NVICAdvocacy) February 7, 2025 SB 1437 removes the following language: “If any parent, custodian, guardian, or any other person in loco parentis to a child objects to immunization in writing on the grounds that the immunization conflicts with that person’s bona fide religious tenets and practices. Upon showing the appropriate school official satisfactory evidence of the exemption, no certificate or other evidence of immunization shall be required for entry into school.” “Any child attending school who had an approved religious exemption from required immunizations for the 2024-2025 school year shall be permitted to remain exempt while continuing to attend school in Hawaii,” the bill adds.
