Hostin: O.J.s Acquittal Was Fine Because Cops Kill More Than He Did

Following the death of former football player and murderer O.J. Simpson‚ the dumb and racially charged hot takes from the cast of ABCs The View were inevitable. Of course‚ it was staunchlyracistandanti-Semiticco-host‚ Sunny Hostin(thedescendant of slave owners) who dredged up the unfounded racial aspects of the case applied by race-hustlers. She even argued that Simpsons acquittal was fine since‚ collectively‚ cops have killed more people than he did.According to Hostin‚ the case was less about his guilt or innocence in the brutal murders of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman‚ but rather about the system and how the system treated African Americans and continues to treat African Americans in this country.Despite the cases not being related in the slightest‚ Hostin insisted that a full context recounting of Simpsons trial must include what happened to Rodney King years earlier. You have to remember in putting it into context the acquittal of the officers who beat Rodney King almost to death in front of the world';s eyes was in 1992. This happened in 1994‚ she said.Hostin argued that for the black community‚ which she identified with‚ the Simpson trial was less about whether or not O.J. did it and more about using it as a stand-in for race relations in America. She went on to admit that Simpson may have got away with it‚ but police officers have killed many more people than O.J. Simpson.The race card was also played by faux conservative Ana Navarro‚ who recalled following the case as a law school student‚ saying: It was the first time I was confronted in my lifetime with the racial divides and the painful racial gaps in America.Navarro said she spoke with former CNN host Don Lemon about Simpsons death and trial‚ and he seemed to agree with Hostins take. And I do think‚ Don Lemon was saying to me yesterday‚ it was not about guilt or innocence‚ it was about race. It was so much about race‚ she recounted.Co-host Sara Haines injected a bit of sanity into the discussion by refocusing the conversation on to Simpsons two victims:HAINES: There were innocent people involved here and I';d like to take a moment them. Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman were brutally killed and murdered. And I think that the legal system failed Nicole over and over again. She had called 911 nine times‚ the crap beaten out of her‚ bloody in bushes and always released her domestic abuser.BEHAR: Who was O.J.HAINES: Yeah. I just want to not say his name like everyone is because I think the people we need to be focused on are Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman who were more than victims in this. She had kids. She was a beloved woman that missed out on major parts of her life. The Goldman family still longs for their son who was funny‚ kind‚ and outgoing.For whatever went on in the mess of this‚ my heart continues to go out for those families who lived beyond and without their loved ones‚ she said.The silence from Hostin was deafening.The transcript is below. Click ";expand"; to read:ABCs The ViewApril 12‚ 202411:03:00 a.m. Eastern()SUNNY HOSTIN: You know‚ I think it was less about his guilt or innocence and rather about the system and how the system treated African Americans‚ and continues to treat African Americans in this country.You have to remember in putting it into context the acquittal of the officers who beat Rodney King almost to death in front of the world';s eyes was in 1992. This happened in 1994. And I think for the black community‚ it was less about whether or not O.J. did it‚ because I think even today you';ll go to‚ you know‚ barber shops and beauty salons and people will say he did it‚ but he got away with it and the police officers‚ you know‚ police officers have killed many more people than O.J. Simpson.JOY BEHAR: Probably I think they didn';t trust that the police did not plant evidence because --HOSTIN: Well‚ Mark Furman said on the witness stand‚ I never used a racial slur.By the way‚ people‚ when a lawyer in cross-examination in a courtroom says‚ have you ever done this? they know that you did it.[Laughter]Right? And so then they come up with tapes and he';s using the ";N"; word like Christmas.BEHAR: But don';t you think some of the reason he got away with it was because he was famous not just that he was black?ANA NAVARRO: There were so many reasons. The prosecution had a lot of failures. And‚ yes‚ I think part of the reason that it';s so fascinating. Look‚ it';s fascinating because it was O.J. Simpson. He was a celebrity‚ he was rich‚ he was a successful athlete‚ we all knew who he was‚ and he was in car rental company commercials. But it';s one of these instances in American history where if you';re of a certain age‚ everybody remembers where you were the day that the verdict was read.HOSTIN: And when the Bronco chase was happening.NAVARRO: Everything.BEHAR: Well‚ it was covered extensively.NAVARRO: Like with 9/11‚ with the JFK death‚ with Challenger explosion.HOSTIN: Michael Jacksons death.NAVARRO: It reaches that level because I think it';s had such cultural significance. It launched so many careers. It changed the way we cover courts.HOSTIN: Camera were in the courtroom.NAVARRO: For me it was the first time and I know it sounds naive to a lot of people but I grew up in Miami in a bubble. I went to a school that was 98 percent Latina immigrant Catholic girls. It was the first time I was confronted in my lifetime with the racial divides and the painful racial gaps in America.And I remember watching it. I remember I was at the student union in law school and the black students were on side and the white non-blacks were on the other side. The black students erupted into cheers‚ the white -- everybody else was with jaws agape‚ and it';s something that still is happening in so many cases.And I do think‚ Don Lemon was saying to me yesterday‚ it was not about guilt or innocence‚ it was about race. It was so much about race.SARA HAINES: There were innocent people involved here and I';d like to take a moment them. Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman were brutally killed and murdered. She was a beloved woman that missed out on major parts of her life. The Goldman family still longs for their son who was funny‚ kind‚ and outgoing.BEHAR: He was really an innocent bystander.HAINES: They both were innocent.BEHAR: She was not a bystander‚ but HAINES: For whatever went on in the mess of this‚ my heart continues to go out for those families who lived beyond and without their loved ones.()

NPR Editor Blows the Whistle on Their Left-Wing Bias: MRCs Stephanie Hamill Reacts on The Kimberly Guilfoyle Show

MRC contributing writer Stephanie Hamill was a guest on The Kimberly Guilfoyle Show on Rumble with host Kimberly Guilfoyle on Thursday to discuss the latest trending news‚ including the latest scandal at NPR.Uri Berliner‚ Senior Business Editor for the public radio giant‚ has come out publiclyaccusing the broadcaster of left-wing bias‚ basically confirming what we already knew.Hamill: We all kinda knew they had a liberal slant‚ and theyve had one for many‚ many years. I remember back when I was in college‚ I used to listen to their content‚ and I thought it was moderately fair. I actually interned at PBS‚ so it is really fascinating to me to see this editor come out‚ who has worked their for 25 years‚ who actually still works there. Well see how long he will work their after he exposed whats going on there.The big issue here‚ is that our taxpayer dollars go to funding this source who claims that theyre unbiased and that there is no slant when clearly there is.

Tennessee GOP May Criminalize Helping ';Trans'; Kids Get Care Without Parental Consent

The fact that this is even something that has to be considered is absolutely berserk.Tennessee lawmakers are contemplating criminalizing adults who help children receive transgender care without their parents'; knowledge and consent. GOP senators advanced the legislation Thursday with a 25-4 vote and its on its way to the House.SB 2782states that any adult who recruits‚ harbors‚ or transports a child for the purposes of getting them transgender-related medical procedures without their parents'; knowledge or consent is guilty of a Class-C felony that carries a prison sentence of three to 15 years.In September‚ a federal appeals court upheld aTennessee banon gender-related medical interventions for children. This new bill takes it a step further and prohibits non-parental adults from ";helping"; gender-confused minors obtain harmful hormone therapies or irreversible surgeries in other states.As theAssociated Pressreported‚ this legislation is similar to a proposal that the Tennessee Senate approved on Wednesday that would criminalize adults from aiding and abetting young people getting abortions without parental consent.It seems that Tennessee is focusing intensely on its kids and how best to protect them from harmful treatments that cause irreversible damage. In response‚ the media had mixed reactions.NBC News routinely called these interventions care and insisted the bill came from one of the most eager states to enact policies aimed at the LGBTQ community.Independent LGBTQ Journalist Erin Reed called the bill extreme‚ while another user on X shared amapthat indicates where Tennessean adults can bring kids to get transgender treatment and would be shielded from any legal repercussions.On the other hand‚ some agreed that the bill was a good thing.Gender affirming care is child abuse‚ onewrote‚ while anotherinsistedthis sort of thing should be in every state‚ writing‚ Any doctor who cuts off healthy body parts of a minor should be thrown in prison.";Related:WIN! Court Upholds TN &;amp; KY Bans on Transgender CareThis new proposal is just one in a litany of ways Tennessee lawmakers have cracked down on progressivism targeting children. Theyve worked to keep drag away from kids‚ to protect teachers who dont wish to affirm a childs delusional identity‚ and have given parents a choice as to whether or not they want their children to be present for particular lessons in school.Time will tell if the state House‚ like the state Senate‚ will approve of this proposal.Follow us on Twitter/X:In what world does trying to be an OnlyFans star do anything to honor a deceased grandfather?@tierin_rosebreaks down the left';s latest insanity in this week';s Woke of the Weak!pic.twitter.com/mvUFDdwPCb MRCTV (@mrctv)April 9‚ 2024

Rowdy migrants scuffle with police at New York hotel shelter after employee calls 911 on ';very violent'; asylum-seeker

A group of rowdy migrants got into a tussle with law enforcement officers on Tuesday at a New York hotel that is being used as a shelter for the influx of asylum-seekers‚ the New York Post reported.Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday‚ a Ramada Inn employee phoned 911 after one of the migrants residing at the hotel became ";very violent.";";The guy is over here unruly‚"; the employee told dispatchers. ";He';s being very violent with everybody. He';s throwing stuff at everybody. We need somebody here right away.";According to police‚ over 130 calls have been made to the hotel in the last year‚ WNYW reported.A video captured of the altercation showed Yonkers police detaining two migrants at a Ramada Inn that is housing 250 asylum-seekers. Other individuals residing at the shelter surrounded officers and blocked doors in an apparent attempt to stop the arrests‚ the video showed.When police arrived at the location‚ they handcuffed Arnal Kent‚ 35. Body-camera footage captured several police officers struggling to remove Kent from the property. A woman‚ identified as Yainilet Hernandez‚ 24‚ was shown on video trying to stop officers from placing Kent in the back of a patrol vehicle.As he was being arrested‚ Kent yelled in Spanish‚ ";Why does he have to hit me? They';re not taking me. They';re not taking me. I';m not doing anything.";Law enforcement officials stated that Hernandez attempted to strike several officers during the scuffle. One officer reportedly injured his knee and had to be taken off duty‚ according to WNYW.Kent was charged with menacing‚ disorderly conduct‚ and obstructing governmental administration‚ the Post reported. He was released without bail.Hernandez was charged with second-degree assault‚ obstruction of governmental administration‚ and resisting arrest. She was held on $500 bail.Yonkers police spokesman Detective Sgt. Frank DiDomizio said Thursday that the officers ";responded to a call for service and reacted appropriately.";Migrants residing at the hotel claim that staff have been mistreating them.";They abuse us. They invade our privacy and they take our money‚ our belongings away without our permission‚"; Kent told WNYW.He claimed employees were violating his rights as well as the rights of other migrants residing at the hotel.One Venezuelan migrant at the shelter told WABC-TV‚ ";We escaped our countries because we weren';t safe; now we';re not safe here.";Migrants say they have been told by hotel staff that they are entering their rooms without permission to remove unsafe appliances‚ such as hot pots. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano (D) said‚ ";I';m mad at those who brought migrants to our community‚ but certainly we would never treat the migrants with any less dignity than they deserve.";The shelter program at the Ramada Inn is run by the New York City Department of Homeless Services and Westhab.Like Blaze News? Daughter of Wynonna Judd charged with soliciting prostitution: ';Ride for a Ride';

The troubles apparently continue for Grace Kelley‚ the 27-year-old daughter of country music star Wynonna Judd. According to allegations in a report from the Daily Mail‚ Kelley recently exposed herself to drivers in Alabama and offered them sexual services in exchange for a ";ride"; in their car.On April 5‚ police received not one but two calls involving Kelley in Millbrook‚ Alabama‚ a city some 250 miles south of Kelley';s last known address in Franklin‚ Tennessee. The first caller reported that she was allegedly walking around and waving a sign that read‚ ";A Ride for a Ride‚"; near some area businesses.When officers met up with Kelley‚ she became argumentative‚ insisting that there was nothing ";illegal"; about prostituting herself ";in exchange for rides‚"; Millbrook Police Chief Johnson told the Daily Mail. The officers then instructed her to leave the area‚ and she seems to have complied.However‚ Millbrook police then received a report that Kelley had ventured into a Circle K gas station‚ causing a disturbance and claiming to have been the victim of a possible robbery. When officers located Kelley in connection with the second call‚ she was no longer at the service station. This time‚ she was standing near the intersection of a highway and an interstate‚ allegedly flashing her breasts and private areas and waving the suggestive sign again.";She was not appropriately dressed‚"; Chief Johnson told the Daily Mail. ";She didn';t have the things covered that needed to be covered. And she was holding the ';Ride for a Ride'; sign while she was in that state and with drivers going by‚ displaying herself.";Johnson described Kelley as ";belligerent and argumentative"; during her second encounter with police that day‚ prompting them to place her under arrest. She was initially charged with indecent exposure and obstructing government operations and assessed a $2‚000 bond. A charge of soliciting prostitution has since been added‚ which will likely increase her bond another $1‚000. She has a hearing scheduled for later this month.Even though Kelley was not in possession of drugs or drug-related paraphernalia at the time of her arrest‚ Johnson attributed at least part of her alleged behavior last week to drug use. ";She might not have had drugs on her at the time she was arrested‚"; Johnson said‚ ";but if you look at the booking photo‚ it hadn';t been long.";Kelley has already served time for manufacturing methamphetamine. While out on parole a few years ago‚ she became pregnant but continued to make several return trips to jail on various drug charges. She gave birth to daughter Kaliyah in 2022.Though Johnson recognizes the need to enforce the law and protect the community from those under the influence‚ he also expressed sympathy for Kelley';s family‚ who have watched her life spiral out of control as the result of addiction.Johnson said he has spoken with Kelley';s father‚ Arch Kelley‚ who was married to Judd from 1996 to 1998. ";He called to check on her and asked the questions you might expect a father to ask about his child‚"; he explained.Though Wynonna Judd has not called to inquire about her daughter‚ Johnson suggested Judd may have just reached a breaking point. ";This is just my opinion‚ that [Judd and ex-husband Arch Kelley] tried to help her and to no avail to this point‚"; Johnson said. ";There have probably been many attempts on their part to get this young lady help.";Judd has previously referred to Grace Kelley as ";the strongest Judd woman in our ';herstory.';"; She also took care of granddaughter Kaliyah while Grace was incarcerated. ";Wynonna is prepared to take care of Kaliyah if Grace goes back to prison again but is praying that this won';t happen‚"; a source told the Daily Mail.Like Blaze News? Video: 8 armed thugs smash Oakland jewelry store';s display cases‚ steal nearly all items in brazen‚ devastating daytime heist

Eight armed individuals were caught on surveillance video smashing the display cases of an Oakland jewelry store this week and making off with almost all of the family-owned business'; inventory in a brutal‚ devastating heist that took place in broad daylight. Image source: YouTube screenshotKGO-TV called the crime in the city';s Chinatown neighborhood ";one of the most brazen‚ armed daytime robberies we';ve ever seen."; Image source: YouTube screenshotWhat are the details?Surveillance video shows 69-year-old mother Diane ducking for cover and screaming for help as the robbers wearing black masks and clothing and armed with guns and hammers enter Phuong Jewelry around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday‚ KGO said. Image source: YouTube screenshotThe crooks ended up smashing nearly all the display cases and ransacking the business‚ the station said. With no security guard on duty‚ KGO said Diane';s 76-year-old husband is seen on the clip coming out from the back of the store armed with a gun of his own‚ which apparently convinced the crooks to leave.";If he hadn';t done that‚ they would have kept going‚"; their son Tony Trinh told the station‚ adding that the crooks stole an estimated 85-90% of the store';s inventory. Image source: YouTube screenshot";My mom was devastated‚ and my dad was broken‚"; Trinh told KGO.The station said the robbery was by far the worst Phuong Jewelry has suffered in more than 40 years of operation.";We';ve been robbed a few times before but not at this level of brazen magnitude‚"; Trinh explained to KGO. ";Eight individuals and two getaway cars and guns drawn. I thought‚ ';Did my mother get shot? Did my father get shot? Did any of our staff or community members?';";Bad news keeps comingDue to the rising cost of premiums‚ the family let the store';s business insurance lapse‚ the station said.";It';s rough‚"; Trinh told KGO. ";My mom is the leader of the pack. When she suffers‚ I suffer; the same thing from her.";Will Phuong Jewelry stay in business? Trinh replied to the station that ";we would love to‚ but with the environment and how tough it';s been‚ we don';t know yet.";KGO reported that Diane indicated she would be back to work on Friday.The Oakland Chinatown Improvement Council has started a GoFundMe to help the family business recoup its losses‚ the station said‚ adding that Oakland police said the investigation is ongoing‚ and they want those with information to come forward. 8 armed suspects clear out Oakland Chinatown jewelry store - EXCLUSIVE youtu.be More of the same in OaklandOakland has made more than a few headlines for‚ among other things‚ its rampant crime. Some examples:Multiple Taco Bells in the northern California city were forced to shut down its dining rooms in March over skyrocketing crime; one location was robbed four times in as many months.Also in March‚ some business owners in the city were threatening to stop paying taxes until something is done to combat crime.Denny';s only location in Oakland permanently closed its doors earlier this year citing safety concerns due to the area';s high crime rate.In-N-Out Burger in January announced plans to shutter its only Oakland location due to high crime in the Democrat-controlled city.Like Blaze News? Focus group of undecided voters gets brutally honest about Biden and the economy: ';Gaslighting literally everyone';

Focus group of undecided voters gets brutally honest about Biden and the economy: ';Gaslighting literally everyone';

In all likelihood‚ undecided voters will decide the outcome of the 2024 election. And if you';re President Joe Biden‚ that';s probably not a good thing.On Wednesday‚ MSNBC highlighted a recent focus group of undecided voters from Michigan‚ Pennsylvania‚ and Wisconsin‚ three battleground states that pave the path to the White House. Biden won those states in 2020‚ but Donald Trump won them in 2016.The voters applauded Biden for his policies on abortion‚ student loans‚ climate‚ and his attitude toward ";disenfranchised"; people. But on the issues that voters say matter most the economy‚ inflation‚ immigration‚ and the border crisis they all agreed that Trump is the better choice. In fact‚ all participants agreed that Trump';s economic policies are better for them and their family.";I think hes been absolutely disastrous for the economy‚"; one voter said of Biden.";I feel like he doesn';t even take accountability for‚ at all‚ with what';s going on in the economy‚ and not even accountability he';s in denial that its happening‚"; another voter said. ";Biden needs to hear the people because when he';s talking about the economy doing stellar‚ he';s talking about the stock market. He';s not looking at homelessness or joblessness. He';s not thinking about how much it costs to go to the grocery store‚"; said another voter‚ who supported Biden in 2020. ";He';s gaslighting literally everyone in the process."; (@) In 1992‚ Democratic strategist James Carville offered Americans a novel political theory: ";It';s the economy‚ stupid!"; Time and time again‚ Carville';s famous quip has proved true.The undecided voters in the focus group believe Trump is a ";bully"; or ";mean"; or that he is divisive. But they like his economy policies‚ and if Americans vote with their pocketbook‚ the former president is sitting pretty less than seven months before voters head to the ballot box.Unfortunately for Biden‚ the focus group is not an anomaly.For months‚ polls have shown that voters trust Trump on the issues they care about most‚ while they trust Biden on issues they don';t really vote on: abortion‚ climate change‚ voting rights.The media are trying to help Biden publishing countless stories painting the economy as better than they think but if Americans are in tune with anything‚ it';s their bank accounts. They know how much groceries‚ utilities‚ gas‚ cars‚ rent‚ and housing cost before Biden‚ so they are painfully aware of how inflation has decreased the power of their dollars. And the focus group proved once again that Biden';s narrative about the economy isn';t resonating with voters.If the election comes down to undecided voters in a handful of battleground states‚ remember Carville';s thesis especially as inflation worsens. House votes to reauthorize spying bill that enabled the FBI to violate Americans'; rights. Only 59 Republicans voted ';no.';

The House voted 273 to 147 Friday in favor of reauthorizing the surveillance bill that has been exploited by the FBI hundreds of thousands of times to spy on American citizens. Only 59 Republicans reportedly voted against renewing Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.The bill is now headed to the Senate‚ where it will likely be passed before the April 19 deadline‚ to the great satisfaction of its champions in the Biden administration‚ members of the the House Intelligence Committee‚ and Attorney General Merrick Garland.The bill was passed after an amendment requiring the FBI to get a warrant before searching Americans'; private communications under Section 702 failed earlier in the day in a 212-212 tie vote.The congressman who led the amendment‚ Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.)‚ blasted the 86 Republicans who helped defeat it‚ writing‚ ";86 Republicans voted with Joe Biden and the Uniparty to allow the FBI to continue spying on Americans without a warrant. The Swamp is deep.";Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio)‚ among the 86‚ suggested that ";this amendment is not about Americans'; inboxes and outboxes. This is not about Americans'; data. his amendment is about Hezbollah';s data‚ Hamas'; data‚ and the Communist Chinese Party';s data‚"; adding ";it will make us go blind."; (@) Ahead of the vote‚ Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas)‚ among those opposed to the reauthorization‚ said‚ ";So I';m supposed to say I want to grant more power to the intelligence community? More power to the government that is releasing terrorists as we speak onto the streets of Texas? It defies any kind of logic.";Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)‚ another FISA critic‚ said‚ ";Holy cow! Pretty soon it';s going to be ';everybody gets to get searched for any darn reason they want.'; That';s not how it works in America‚ at least not how it';s supposed to work.";Former President Donald Trump wrote earlier this week on Truth Social‚ ";KILL FISA‚ IT WAS ILLEGALLY USED AGAINST ME‚ AND MANY OTHERS. THEY SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN!!!";House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) suggested that while he was once opposed to the reauthorization of Section 702‚ classified briefings provided him with a ";different perspective‚"; reported CNN.";When I was a member of [the House Judiciary Committee]‚ I saw the abuses of the FBI‚ the terrible abuses over and over and over and then when I became speaker I went to the SCIF and got the confidential briefing on sort of the other perspective on that to understand the necessity of section 702 of FISA and how important it is for national security‚"; said Johnson. ";And it gave me a different perspective.";The perspective Johnson came to adopt ruled the day. CNN highlighted that only 59 Republicans and 88 Democrats ended up voting against reauthorization.The new FISA bill entails a two-year authorization instead of a five-year reauthorization‚ meaning that if Trump is re-elected‚ he could revamp FISA laws before the end of his second term.Blaze News previously noted that Section 702 is a provision of FISA first enacted by Congress in 2008 that lets the government spy on foreign nationals located outside the U.S. with the compelled aid of electronic communication service providers. This was the law exploited by the FBI to spy on members of the Trump campaign in 2016 without probable cause.The Office of the Director of National Intelligence indicated that Congress enacted Section 702 in order to ";address a collection gap that resulted from the evolution of technology in the years after FISA was passed in 1978.";";Many terrorists and other foreign adversaries were using email accounts serviced by U.S. companies‚"; claimed the ODNI. ";Because of this change in communications technology‚ the government had to seek individual court orders‚ based on a finding of probable cause‚ to obtain the communications of non-U.S. persons located abroad.";Alternatively going through the courts was supposedly too costly ";because of the resources required and because the government couldn';t always meet the probable cause standard.";While 702 targets must be foreign nationals suspected to be outside the U.S.‚ the FBI has admitted that ";such targets may send an email or have a phone call with a U.S. person."; Numerous American citizens have‚ consequently‚ been subjected to warrantless surveillance and had their private communications both tapped and stored.The FBI has confessed as much‚ indicating on multiple occasions that there were at least 278‚000 ";unintentional"; back-door search queries of the 702 database for the private communications of Americans between 2020 and 2021 alone.Jan. 6 protesters‚ congressional campaign donors‚ and BLM protesters are among those who have been swept up into the warrantless 702 searches.Like Blaze News? ';I wouldn';t be here without Jesus';: Baltimore Orioles rookie explains on-field ritual after MLB debut

Second-generation Major League Baseball player Jackson Holliday explained his faith and his on-field tradition that fans noticed during his debut.Holliday is the son of World Series winner Matt Holliday‚ who retired just six years prior to his son';s first game with the Baltimore Orioles. At the beginning of the game‚ reporters noticed that the 20-year-old made a possible marking behind second base where he was playing. Holliday explained it was part of his usual routine to showcase his faith.";In the bottom of the first‚ right before the inning started‚ you went kind of behind second base and touched the dirt. Did you draw something in the dirt‚ is that kind of a tradition for you?"; a reporter asked him after the game.";Yeah‚ it';s kind of a routine to draw a cross‚"; Holliday replied. ";I wouldn';t be here without Jesus‚ honestly. His love that he';s had on me and blessed me with the ability to play baseball‚ and to be here today‚ I probably wouldn';t be anywhere without him‚"; the rookie explained.";Just kind of a routine that I have before every inning or at the beginning of the game on defense‚ or before every at bat.
