Disney's Woke 'Snow White' Remake Suffers Historic Opening Weekend Flop

In what might be the least surprising flop to emerge from Hollywood since Sony tried to make a cinematic universe for Spider-Man without actually including him, it appears that Disney's live-action "Snow White" is off to quite a sleepy start. The Disney film in question -- no stranger to all...

Shoei GT-Air 3 Helmet Review

No piece of motorcycle apparel touches and protects riders in ways that a helmet does. A well-designed lid cradles your face, offers unobstructed visibility, and provides critical impact protection. Oh, and it had better look cool on your head. Enter the Shoei GT-Air 3, a premium full-face helmet introduced this year as the latest generation of Shoei’s GT-Air models. This helmet offers several upgrades, including a shell design optimized for aerodynamics and a redesigned ventilation system with larger intake and exhaust vents. This version also includes the Pinlock EVO anti-fog insert and recesses for comms systems. The GT-Air 3 comes in a variety of colors and finishes. I selected the Scenario TC-5, which looked bold but not obnoxious on Shoei’s website. I was delighted by how sweet it looks in the flesh, exhibiting Shoei’s renowned build quality and finishes. I was particularly impressed by the subtle purple graphic on the left side that adds lovely depth to the appearance.    The GT-Air 3 has a streamlined design that is more compact than some other touring helmets with integrated sunshields. The shell is crafted from Shoei’s Multi-Ply Matrix AIM composite that is lightweight but strong, allowing the helmet to meet ECE 22.06 and DOT safety standards. Shoei claims that a size Medium scales in at 3.91 lb.  My head always feels happy in a Shoei lid, and that’s the case with the GT-Air 3. The fit is snug around my long-oval skull and my cheeks, preventing unnecessary space that would diminish the ability to effectively absorb impacts. So, snug but without pressure points.   The interior lining of the GT-Air 3 is revamped with Shoei’s 3D Max-Dry fabric, a moisture-wicking and antimicrobial material that felt plush on my face. A stainless-steel micro-ratchet chinstrap simplifies attachment and removal.   The GT-Air 3’s new shell felt stable at high speeds and did a great job of reducing wind noise. The new top and chin vents were effective at circulating airflow through the helmet, providing decent cooling in hot weather.  The helmet’s drop-down sunshield is Shoei’s new QSV-2 system, which is slightly larger and is designed to be smoother to operate via a slider mechanism on the left side of the exterior. A horizontal push or pull from a left finger raises and lowers it, which adds versatility when riding in variable light conditions.   If you like using a Bluetooth comms setup in a helmet, the Sena units will fit nicely into the pockets built into the GT-Air 3’s lower left side and the rear base. I was able to adapt a Cardo PackTalk Pro and utilized the speaker pockets integrated into the interior.   See all of Rider‘s helmet reviews here. The Shoei GT-Air 3 has proven to be an exceptional helmet that delivers comfort and functionality, whether you’re a daily commuter or a long-distance touring rider. Its sleek design, smooth aerodynamics, and quality workmanship make it one of the best full-face helmets on the market. Prices start at $749.99 for solid colors in sizes XS to 2XL. Republican Governors Hold Press Conference Advocating For New Constitutional Amendment

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Idaho Gov. Brad Little held a joint press conference at the Idaho Capitol to support a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. “The Governors are discussing an Article V amendment to the Constitution that would force the Federal Government to operate on a balanced budget. To trigger an Article V change to the Constitution requires 2/3rds of the States to ratify the change,” CBS2 wrote. “27 States have already ratified,” the outlet added. “There are certain incentives for the people in Washington to behave the way they do,” DeSantis said. “We need to change those incentives. And that involves we the people in our states doing what the Founding Fathers put in the Constitution to propose an amendment to provide some of those constraints on their behavior. In this case, requiring a balanced budget for the U.S. government,” he continued. “I have to balance the budget in Florida. Idaho has to balance the budget. Don’t tell me it can’t be done,” DeSantis said. “We had to make tough choices, but part of the reason we had to do that is because there’s never a question of if we have to balance the budget. It’s either balance, or surplus,” he continued. WATCH: RON DESANTIS CALLS FOR BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT: "There are certain incentives for the people in Washington to behave the way they do." Opponents have pointed to concerns that a States Convention could lead to unintended consequences, but Governor DeSantis says that with a majority of states being conservative there is no way that “say, the second amendment could be changed for example.” Governor DeSantis believes that once 32 or 33 states have ratified an Article V convention, that Congress would act quickly to write their own legislation to avoid being left out of the process. “States like Idaho and Florida are precisely what President Trump envisions for America. Our states run balanced budgets not just because our state constitutions require it but because it is just the right thing to do,” Governor Little said. “Now is the time to step up and help President Trump stop the runaway freight train of federal spending. It’s not what the founders envisioned for our great country. I want to thank Governor DeSantis for coming all the way to Idaho for this important message.” Press release from Gov. Brad Little regarding Gov. Ron DeSantis' visit to discuss a balanced budget amendment.https://t.co/IlSvT6x0Zt — Gem State Chronicle (@gemstatechron) March 24, 2025 .@RonDeSantis says he could keep balanced budget amendment convention in check, cites 'criminal penalties' for 'wayward' delegates Reporting by @AGGancarskihttps://t.co/0BRqNFKdwW#FlaPol pic.twitter.com/xTN2gwjIbq — Florida Politics (@Fla_Pol) March 24, 2025 Per Florida Politics: And he’s assuring reporters in Idaho that if anything went awry during a constitutional convention involving Florida delegates, he could keep them in line by recalling them or even locking them up. “We have limitations on what the delegates can do. I as Governor can recall people,” DeSantis said. “I mean, just think about it. If someone in one of our states got up and for a balanced budget amendment convention, and they said, ‘Well, we really want to look at reining in the Second Amendment,’ I would have those people on the plane to Tallahassee before they could even get those words out of their mouth. It would not happen. We’ve even put criminal penalties in for delegates that go wayward.” DeSantis went on to say if delegates generated a proposal that was “really, really bad,” that “it would take us an afternoon” to root out dissident talk. “I could call (Idaho Gov.) Brad Little. I could call (Montana Gov.) Greg Gianforte. I’d call (Georgia Gov.) Brian Kemp. I can call these Governors and say this is bad. We’d put out a thing saying, you know, with our legislative leaders saying no, and it would die. Like immediately we would be able to rally 13 states,” DeSantis said. DeSantis made the comments Monday at the Idaho Capitol while making the case that 38 states should ratify the balanced budget change to the U.S. Constitution. The goal is to have Idaho and Montana, where he is later on Monday, join with 27 other states that have certified, he said. A few other states are “on the precipice.” To start the process, 34 states must agree. But DeSantis told Idaho media that just 33 of them would make Congress “see the writing on the wall” and push forward, sending an amendment to the states for ratification. President Trump Appoints Alina Habba To Justice Department Role

President Trump appointed Alina Habba, his former defense attorney and current White House counselor, to serve as interim U.S. attorney in New Jersey. “It is with great pleasure that I am announcing Alina Habba, Esq., who is currently serving as Counselor to the President, and has represented me for a long time, will be our interim U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, her Home State, effective immediately!” Trump said. “Alina will lead with the same diligence and conviction that has defined her career, and she will fight tirelessly to secure a Legal System that is both ‘Fair and Just’ for the wonderful people of New Jersey,” he added. From the New York Post: Habba, 40, became a public figure while repping Trump in a defamation case brought by writer E. Jean Carroll between the president’s terms of office, and has held the senior role as presidential counselor since January. “There is corruption, there is injustice, and there is a heavy amount of crime right in [Senator] Cory Booker’s backyard and right under Governor [Phil] Murphy. And that will stop,” Habba told reporters on the White House driveway. “I look forward to working with [Attorney General] Pam Bondi and with the Department of Justice and making sure that we further the president’s agenda of putting America first, cleaning up the mess and going after the people that we should be going after, not the people that are falsely accused.” Habba declined to say if she viewed the appointment as a stepping stone toward elected office in the Garden State — despite aiming her initial remarks directly at the Garden State’s two most prominent Democrats. “I think Cory Booker and Governor Murphy have failed the state of New Jersey,” Habba said. “If you look at what happened in crime, what’s going on in Newark, what’s going on in Camden, this has been a neglected state. It is one of the most populated states for its size, and it needs to stop. We’re going to do a bang-up job. I cannot wait. It’s a great honor.” WATCH: Alina Habba: "President Trump has just put out a statement that he has appointed me as the interim U.S. attorney for the state of New Jersey, my home state…There is corruption, there is injustice, and there is a heavy amount of crime right in Cory Booker's backyard." pic.twitter.com/2HXRrycr6V — CSPAN (@cspan) March 24, 2025 “Time to make New Jersey great again! LET’S ROLL,” Habba said. Time to make New Jersey great again! LET’S ROLL https://t.co/HsXXnOuiRn — Alina Habba (@AlinaHabba) March 24, 2025 Per ABC News: Habba rose to fame as a member of Trump’s circle after several years in private practice in New Jersey. After working as a merchandiser at fashion company Marc Jacobs for two years, Habba attended Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Pennsylvania, graduating in 2011. She served a yearlong clerkship with then-New Jersey Superior Court Judge Eugene Codey Jr. then worked in private practice for eight years at two separate firms before starting her own practice in 2020, focusing on civil and commercial litigation. After reportedly becoming acquainted with Trump through membership in his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club, Habba’s big break with the former president came when she represented him in a $100 million lawsuit against the New York Times and his estranged niece, Mary L. Trump. The New York Times lawsuit was ultimately dismissed, and Habba’s other cases for Trump have resulted in a mixed record. She received praise from Trump after Summer Zervos, a former “Apprentice” contestant who accused the former president of sexual assault, dropped her defamation case against Trump.
