I thought I'd relate a bizarre account I received back in 2011, that involved a dark Mothman-like humanoid in southwest Alaska. The witness (Nate) stated that he and others had encountered this being. I later caught up with the witness, who confirmed that there was another incident by a villager the previous winter, but he had few details. The following narrative is the witness' own recollection:"My first encounter with this thing most people call the Mothman was when I was nine years old and I remember it clearly like it was yesterday. I was walking back from my uncle's place. I was walking on the sidewalk and I saw this man standing on top of my fathers house close to the edge facing west. He was all black he looked like a man. He stood about 7 or 8 feet tall. I shouted out at him but he acted like he didn't hear me. I said "hey you...who are you?" I kept trying to get his attention...it was like I wasn't there. But when I said "hey you're standing on my house...who are you?" he looked at me for a few seconds.His face seemed like a normal persons face until it slowly opened it's eyelids and I saw a red glow...like his eye's were glowing not a red light but a glow. I froze and just stared at him. He stood there looking at me for 9 or 10 seconds and looked away and jumped really high and far. I'd say he jumped about 40 feet high and 70 to 80 feet away and as soon as he seemed to fall down, very long and large wings came out of his back and flapped twice...just in those two flaps he traveled about 100 feet and flew right over the high school.Since that day I never spoke to anyone about it cause I thought I saw the devil. I freaked out so bad I looked out for it everyday to make sure it wasn't around. That is my first encounter with that thing. It's body was like a man's and his face is like a man's too...but his eye's are what make's it so scary and weird. Those wings are very long and large. His whole body was all black...like not skin but blackness was covering him...I can't explain. I'm not the only one in my village that saw this thing but after that there have been many sightings here and in other villages....even to a point that the thing goes into people's house's while they sleep. That happened to someone I know." NateTununak, AlaskaBefore I decided to post further encounters I needed to know more details about these sightings as well as the possibility that similar incidents had been recorded. These specific occurrences were experienced in and around the coastal village of Tununak, Alaska, located on the northeast coast of Nelson Island, about 110 miles northwest of Bethel. The population of the community consists of 96.9% Alaska Native or part Native. Tununak is a traditional Yup'ik Eskimo village, with an active fishing and subsistence lifestyle.I will be referring to the witness as 'Nate'. There are a few questions that needed to be asked during the research process in particular, why he refers to the being as a 'Mothman':"I don't know it's real name. It's just that all the people here know it as the 'devil', it comes around and suddenly very bad things start happening. Sometimes it just seems to be watching and nothing happens or very weird things happen. Some people will experience an ability of some sort for a short time and then suddenly they're back to normal. If you ask me I think that the Mothman is not a physical being. I think it's an energy formed from somewhere or someplace that takes character when encountered by an individual. When encountered by a person with a certain belief system the Mothman takes on a form according to the person's point of view of reality. That's one theory of mine to explain it's appearance to people. Some people will say it looked like an angel with red eyes. Some will say it looks like a cowboy standing 9 feet tall with glowing red eyes. Others will say it looked like a 6 feet tall man that can walk through walls. So to tell you my thoughts of the name of the thing I would say maybe it's name is 'Leviathan' from the book of Job in the Bible. That would be the closest name I got for it. Why I had so many encounters with it...I have no idea. I do know that there have been encounters in other villages."The following narratives are Nate's description of his subsequent experiences with this being:"My second encounter was when I was a teenager. It was a winter night and I was riding on a snowmachine with my cousin. We saw a light on the north hill. We thought it was a snowmachine so we went to go and see who it was. When we got close to the hill the light disappeared. We were able to see every part of the hill...the light just vanished nowhere in sight, so we were gonna go back home. We turned the snowmachine around as cousin said he had to urinate, so I waited for him to finish.While I was waiting I saw a black object on the ground, darker then all the other things on the ground. It was getting taller like something was coming out of the ground. As soon as it reached 7 feet tall or so it started to come at us fast. I told my cousin to look at the thing. He started to freak out and ran to the snowmachine, started it and looked back at it. He yelled it's getting very close so I looked back. It seemed to be 100 ft. or so away and coming fast. I screamed to my cousin to take off fast. I was so freaked out I closed my eyes. We were going at least 50 miles an hour on the snowmachine. I looked back to see how far we got from it but that thing was getting closer, I estimate at 15 to 20 feet away from us. It was the I noticed the wings, but they were not flapping. It was like that thing was floating over the ground. I couldn't see any eyes on it...no red eyes, just all black. I was screaming to my cousin to go faster but the thing just got closer and closer like speed was nothing to it. When we reached the village the thing stopped and turned around. My cousin just kept going fast on the town road going about 60 miles an hour until we got close to my grandmother's place. He slammed on the brakes as we jumped out of the snowmachine and ran into the house. We told everyone inside about what was chasing us. My grandmother said it was the 'devil' and told us to stop being 'bad kids'.The third encounter was when I was 22 years old and at home playing on a Ouija board. I was talking with the board and it said it was the 'DEVIL' so I foolish asked it to possess me. It said 'NO'. I asked why, it said 'WRATH' so I stopped asking it questions. Suddenly the room started to get cold even with the furnace running. I wrapped myself with my blanket but I was just getting colder. I also felt the need to look through the window...like something was telling me to. I again felt this urge to look, so I got up, went over to the window and looked outside. I saw a man standing next to the steps of my neighbor's house, just looking at me. I could tell he was staring at me though I thought it was one of my neighbors, so I went outside to talk to him. I called his name but he never replied. The street light was shining on him but I was unable to see his face, like he was covered in a black cloud or some sort of blackness. I kept trying to get him it to recognize me but received no answer from him. I took out my zippo lighter which I had just filled with lighter fluid and hadn't used it since. I flicked it on and tried to see his face but I still couldn't see it. When I got closer my zippo turned off as if that thing blew at it. I tried to relight it but I was unable to do so. Suddenly I heard a quiet voice saying in my head to 'back away'...so I backed off slowly, not turning my back until I got to the road. When I reached the road I took off running as fast as I could to my place. I looked out the window to see if it was still there and it was still staring at me. I started to look for a flashlight so I could see what or who it was. When I found the flashlight I looked out the window and noticed that it was moving off to the road.I decided to follow it. When I looked closely it didn't seem to be walking...it was floating away. Dogs would start barking as it passed houses. I was chasing it holding a flashlight hoping I could get a look at his face. I was too slow to get close but fast enough to keep up behind it, like it was going slow to make sure I was behind it but fast enough to stay far ahead of me. It was luring me to him but I kept chasing it. When it started getting closer to the church it slowed down and circled the church, like it didn't want to get close. It continued to move on and I just continued chasing it. When we reached the end of the village I stopped. I felt creeped out, like that thing was trying to get me to go out onto the tundra in the dark. I turned around and quickly walked home.There are other encounters with this thing that many of the people in the world know as 'Mothman' but here, we know it as the 'Devil' or 'Demon'. He has been around for very long time and has been seen by many people here. He has done a lot of things that creep everyone out, like being at a location where someone dies the very next day and on the very exact spot where he was. When he comes around that means something very bad is going happen.I don't call him the 'Devil' or 'Demon'. I disagree with that term...I just call him the 'Black Man with Red Eyes' or 'Dark Man' because he's surrounded by a blackness or a black cloud.There was an encounter where a guy was out hunting and saw it with a couple of his friends. They tried to get it's attention but it never responded back. They tried shooting next to it but he never got spooked by the gunshot. There are many other encounters but these are not mine so I can't say exactly what happened...I just hear the stories."Location of Tununak, AlaskaTraditional Yup'ik shaman 1911Despite the influence of the Christian missionaries, Yup'ik shamans (angalkuq) possess powers that are beyond physical powers. Their achievements are considered impossible for any human being to accomplish. Shamans define a customary role in Yup’ik life, and while Christian religions have interceded in Yup'ik traditions, some say that shamans still play an important role. A long time ago, Yup'ik forefathers encountered supernatural beings and some have become stories that were passed down from one generation to the next. Encounters of supernatural beings are considered true and can happen to anyone and anybody.The legends and folklore of the Yup'ik people do include several good and evil spirits but nothing similar to the descriptions given by Nate. The closest traditional entity would be a dark shaman who makes life more difficult for the people around them. There is nothing that would represent a harbinger of death.During my research, I was impressed by Yup'ik customs, especially those that involved gossip, lies, and their respect for spirituality. The community, even in current times, deeply frowns upon malice towards others and the spread of distorted accounts. Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania native Donnie Decker's life has been surrounded by a phenomenon that remains unsolved to this day. It started after his grandfather's death when he was a teenager in February of 1983.Unknown to everyone within the family, Don had been carrying a secret about his grandfather since the age of 7 years old. Donnie Decker alleges that his grandfather had been repeatedly physically abusing him.Don was disturbed by the reverence shown to his Grandfather at the funeral and afterward, spending the night with friends, the Keefers, those feelings erupted in a way that could never have been foreseen. Who knows what emotional turmoil that unleashes within the mind and spirit of an adolescent but some say Donnie Decker allowed it to manifest in a series of strange paranormal events.As he sat quietly with his friends the air around him suddenly turned cold, and at the same time, water started to drip from the living room walls. Don fell into an eerie trance-like state. The tenants of the property immediately called the landlord, Ron H. Van Why to report that water was now dripping from the walls and the ceiling.When Ron arrived he was mystified as to what was happening. As the landlord he knew where the plumbing pipes were located and there were none anywhere near the vicinity of the room. The plumbing was all at the rear of the building and the water was pouring through one room only where no pipes were located. Ron quickly realized that water wasn't simply traveling downwards from the walls and ceiling...it was pouring up out of the floor as well. At this point, he called in the local police.Patrolman John Baujan couldn't believe his eyes and was taken aback enough by what was unfolding before him to call in his partner Patrolman Richard Wolbert. Together they stepped into the one room that was affected by the water and immediately both were drenched. Both observed droplets of water travel horizontally between them and move out of the room in mid-air.Police advised the family and Donnie to leave the premises and go to a nearby cafe while they investigated, but Ron elected to stay. As the Keefers and Donnie Decker left the building, suddenly the water stopped pouring. Ron surmised that somehow one of them was responsible for causing the 'indoor rain'...but which one?It had now been almost a full 24 hours since the indoor rain started and as they sat in the local cafe Donnie still appeared 'trance-like'. Cafe owner Pam Scarfano who had earlier witnessed the rain in the house thought out loud that maybe Donnie was responsible. That maybe it was the Devil's work and that Donnie was possessed. No sooner had Pam, the Keefers and Donnie seated themselves around a cafe table than the seemingly impossible happened...it started to rain inside the cafe. Alarmed Pam rushed to her cash register where she kept a crucifix and placed it around Donnie's neck, it immediately turned black and burned Donnie on the neck.The Keefers and Donnie decided to leave the cafe and as they did so once again the 'rain' stopped. It was at this point the consensus appeared to be that Donnie was the cause. Back at the house, the rain had started again and accusations towards Donnie started to fly. At this stage, the pots and pans on the stove started to rattle and without warning Donnie suddenly levitated and was thrown across the room. The police chief was called in but he put the whole incident down to 'plumbing issues' and ordered his men to leave...though he also ordered his men to say nothing of the incident and not to file a report.The following day Lieutenant William Davies of the local police became yet another authoritative witness to the events in the house. He and Lieutenant John Rundle witnessed the seemingly impossible happen again...Donnie Decker was levitated off the floor and hurled across the room. When they rushed to his aid they found three claw marks upon his neck. It is worth bearing in mind at this point that we now have four experienced, respected, and completely trustworthy officers of the law who have witnessed the seemingly impossible happen. Rarely does any paranormal event have such authoritative testimony.Three nights later the rain was still pouring down inside the house. An exorcism for Donnie seemed the only possible answer...but every Catholic priest and Protestant minister turned all requests down. Eventually, an Evangelical preacher was found who agreed to perform the exorcism. Although Donnie convulsed during the ritual, things appeared to calm down and the rain stopped. The results however were temporary.Soon after Donnie was sentenced to prison for a theft and was placed in a maximum security cell. Once again the 'rain' started. Startled guards removed Donnie from his soaking wet cell and accused him of throwing water from the sink around his cell. He pointed out to the guards 'I can make it happen anywhere, and I can control it'. The guards then taunted him with the challenge of making it rain somewhere like the warden's office. Lt. David Keenhold was acting warden and sitting in his office oblivious to the events going on with Donnie when a guard came into the office to explain what was happening. Upon standing up the warden only then became aware that his shirt was saturated with water. He hadn't felt it happen to him as he had been focused on writing a report. When the guard explained that Donnie had said he would make it rain in the warden's office the warden was mystified and in his own testimony stated that he and the guard were both scared.The warden called in a local clergy, the Reverend William Blackburn. The Reverend accused Donnie of making things up and a rattled Donnie replied by raising his fingers and instantly causing rain to fall. The shocked Reverend realized Donnie did harbor the power to make it rain and reached the immediate conclusion that he was possessed. Performing some religious rites the Reverend appears to have dispelled the ability Donnie had. Hey Nevadans, Whether you like it or not, your government will now make you pay for women you’ve never met to kill their unborn babies!  An unchallenged court ruling has officially made Nevada the 18th state to start spending Medicaid funds on “free” abortions for low-income women. This decision argues that denying coverage through the taxpayer funded program violates Nevada’s “Equal Rights Amendment” adopted in 2022.  “With this victory, more Nevadans will be able to make the best personal medical decisions for themselves and their families,” cheered Erin Bilbray-Kohn, executive director of the Silver State Hope Fund, in a statement obtained by the American Civil Liberties Union. She leaves out the part where those “personal medical decisions” are being paid for with other people’s money.  Now that 30 days have passed without the state government appealing it, the ruling is solidified. Nevada residents will be forced to pay taxes for abortions starting no later than early November, according to the judge who made the ruling. This upcoming Election Day, Nevadans will also vote whether the right to kill an unborn baby should be added as an amendment in their state constitution.

Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance (Ohio) equated CNN anchor Dana Bash to a "Democratic propagandist" on Sunday after she appeared to accuse him of inciting violence.For several weeks, Vance has brought attention to the immigrant problem overwhelming the city of Springfield, Ohio, refusing to accept the media's outright dismissal of allegations that immigrants are targeting animals in the area. 'You accused me of causing a bomb threat. ... Don't you realize you're engaged in basic propaganda to silence the concerns of American citizens? Please.'Vance believes the allegations should be fully investigated not only because there is some evidence pointing to their validity but because his office has fielded numerous calls from constituents testifying to the problems.On CNN's "State of the Union," Bash accused Vance of placing his constituents "at risk" for bringing attention to the problems in Springfield.At first, Vance took the high road, ignoring the accusation. He told Bash the media "completely ignored" Springfield's problems until recently, explained how Vice President Kamala Harris' policy record would create more Springfield situations, and disclosed how many constituents have called his office to report problems in Springfield."My attitude is: Listen to my constituents," Vance explained. "Sometimes, they're going to say things that people don't like. But they're saying things that people don't like because their town has been overwhelmed, and it's my job to try to fight for them and to protect them."But instead of addressing the substance of Vance's comments, Bash responded by trying to fact-check him.The CNN anchor — who admitted to going light on Harris in her one sit-down interview with the Democratic presidential nominee — dismissed 911 calls and social media videos seemingly providing credibility to the animal-targeting allegations. Then she went a step further and directly accused Vance of "saying things that are wrong and actually causing the hospitals, the schools, the government buildings to be evacuated because of bomb threats."With that accusation, Vance finally had enough.The Republican lawmaker called Bash's accusation "disgusting," characterizing it as a comment that "is more appropriate for a Democratic propagandist than it is for an American journalist.""There is nothing that I have said that has led to threats against these hospitals," Vance added. "These hospitals, the bomb threats and so forth, it's disgusting. The violence is disgusting. We condemn it. We condemn all violence and threats of violence."As the interview went on, Vance tried, once again, to explain how policies that Harris supports hurt communities like Springfield. But Bash told Vance she did not want to discuss policies while repeatedly interrupting him."Dana, would you like to ask me questions and then let me answer them, or would you like to debate me on these topics?" Vance said. "I noticed that when you had Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, you gave them multiple choice answers to the questions that you asked and you allowed them to answer the questions. I'm happy to be here to talk about policy, but if you're going to interrupt me every single time that I open my mouth, then why am I even doing this?"For the rest of the interview, Bash asked Vance more leading and charged questions while repeatedly implying that he is lying about Springfield. Vance, for his part, tried to discuss immigration policies. But something incredible happened at the end of the interview.Despite having accused Vance of "saying things" that are "causing ... bomb threats" and suggesting that Vance and Donald Trump are responsible for the bomb threats because they happened after Vance and Trump brought attention to Springfield's problems, Bash outright denied having accused Vance of inciting violence. But Vance wouldn't let her get away with it."You accused me of causing a bomb threat," he said. "Don't you realize you're engaged in basic propaganda to silence the concerns of American citizens? Please."In her denial, Bash excused herself by claiming she was merely quoting the mayor of Springfield. But even that backfired on her."Look, the Springfield mayor, he's dealing with a lot of terrible things," Vance shot back. "But he did not accuse me of inciting a bomb threat. He just didn't. "And if we're going to take the firsthand accounts of people who are on the ground in Springfield, why don't you bring on some of the people on your program who say that the migrants are eating their pets?" he continued. "You're applying a double standard here. You're saying if one person accuses JD Vance, I'm going to take that person's word as the gospel truth even if you misrepresent it. If you have another person who's saying they're eating the cats, you're going to completely ignore them, attack them, silence them, and harass them."That double standard is why that people don't trust the media and why we're not talking about public policy 51 days out from a presidential election," Vance said. A new poll says that the endorsement from pop superstar Taylor Swift won't make any difference in the voting habits of a vast majority of voters. The poll from ABC News/Ipsos found that 81% of respondents said the singer's endorsement of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris would have no effect on their vote. Despite multiple assassination attempts on former President Donald Trump, left-wing outlets have continuously suggested that Trump supporters would be the ones to turn to violence and even killings. They've even claimed that Trump has perpetuated this through violent rhetoric. For years, pundits have done their best to predict a militant uprising by Trump supporters who would apparently find inspiration in the allegedly ever-present, threatening tone that he instills in them at rallies and press conferences. Some of the worst offenders included blunt messaging that some Trump supporters were "highly likely" to commit murders due to Trump's rhetoric.'Trump Is Okay with Political Violence (by His Supporters).'University professor Brian Klaas appeared on MSNBC in October 2023 and said that Trump had been "saying things that could get people killed" so often that he had brought "normalcy" to it."What is highly likely going into the 2024 election is that a small subset of Trump's very well-armed and extremist base will try to kill people," Klaas told a panel.He added that Trump is guilty of "crazy incitement to violence."Following the second attempt on Trump's life, Klaas said on X that "political violence is abhorrent" but also that Trump "remains a serious threat to American democracy." — (@) CNN said in 2020 that Trump supporters could be "incited to future violence" by Trump's continued promotion of "2020 election lies." The article went on to state that not only does Trump not accept jury verdicts against himself, he doesn't accept them against his supporters — who were referred to as "thugs" — either. There also exists a "Trump Hate Map" published by America's Voice. The page has the goal of mapping the locations of any hate crime that could possibly be connected to Trump in any way."We’ve seen the proof since his campaign launch in June 2015," the website reads.Often using the backdrop of January 6 as their hidden ace, these hopeful predictions of violence typically ignore the George Floyd riots in 2020 that resulted in 19 deaths and billions in property damage. They also failed to recognize CHOP and CHAZ, the short-lived communist occupied zones in Seattle and Washington, D.C., that featured the firebombing of police stations.Also forgotten are the many statues and monuments torn down by leftist protesters, as well as the fires set near the White House, including the Church of the Presidents.Accusations against Trump supporters are measured by the lowest bar possible, while left-wing violence seemingly is not measured at all.With now two attempts on Trump's life, it should be noted that taking shots at the former leader of the country and candidate for president barely hits the radar for many.Like Blaze News? A teenage girl was killed after a hit-and-run driver plowed into a crowd following an after-midnight fight involving multiple teens over the weekend in downtown Minneapolis — and business owners and residents are fed-up with the lawlessness, WCCO-TV reported.Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash on Fifth Street North at Hennepin Avenue around 12:23 a.m. Saturday, the station said, citing police, who said the female suspect drove in reverse on Hennepin and then drove the wrong way on Fifth Street into the crowd.Chief O'Hara added to WCCO, presumably in reference to the involved teenagers, that 'I'm not their parent, right? So I can tell you my kid isn't gonna be hanging out on Hennepin Avenue at 12:30 at night in the middle of all this stuff going on here with bars.'Six people were taken to Hennepin Healthcare, including a 16-year-old girl who later died, the station said, adding that another victim sustained life-threatening injuries while a handful of others suffered less serious injuries."The video of this incident is absolutely horrific," Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said, according to WCCO. "There aren't words to describe how tragic and senseless it is."The station interviewed residents and business owners who expressed outrage and frustration over what they call an out-of-control environment that plays out on a weekly basis."It's a nuthouse out here, man," one downtown resident told WCCO. "That's every weekend. I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner." The resident added to the station off camera that "it's a zoo out here, man, and it's not getting any better."Daniel Stensgaard, a business owner, added to the station that city leaders "should have their asses down here starting at 11 o'clock at night and let them walk around and watch the shortage of police officers and what's happened."Chief O'Hara added to WCCO, presumably in reference to the involved teenagers, that "I'm not their parent, right? So I can tell you my kid isn't gonna be hanging out on Hennepin Avenue at 12:30 at night in the middle of all this stuff going on here with bars."The police report added that the suspect drove out of downtown but that witnesses followed her, the station said.
