NBC Embraces Activism‚ Claims 'Abortion Access Goes Beyond Politics'

NBC correspondent Dana Griffin suited up for Team Abortion on Saturday’s edition of Today. Griffin claimed that the issue goes “beyond politics for women” and embraced all the activist premises when she asked the petitioner of the Arizona Supreme Court case if “women should have the right to choose what to do with their own bodies.”  Griffin began by noting Vice President Kamala Harris’s and Donald Trump’s responses to the ruling. On Trump‚ Griffin quoted him as posting on Truth Social‚ “’ the Supreme Court in Arizona went too far’ and ‘we must ideally have the three exceptions for rape‚ incest‚ and life of the mother‚’” but she also added some further editorializing that Harris did not get “But the issue of abortion access goes beyond politics for women.”      It could be said that protecting the unborn goes beyond politics as well‚ but Griffin did not show pro-lifers the same courtesy. What she did show was an unidentified woman claiming she experienced “disbelief” and “anger” at the ruling. Griffin further reported that “Dr. Jill Gibson said patients were shocked and confused.” Outside of a Planned Parenthood‚ Gibson claimed she “had friends calling me saying was it still safe for friends who were pregnant who are out of state to travel to Arizona to visit them. This is the atmosphere of fear.” There was nothing in Gibson’s response that touched on abortion‚ but Griffin never bothered to follow up and ask why simply traveling to Arizona would be unsafe. Griffin did allow a brief glimpse into the thoughts of the other side from OB-GYN Dr. Eric Hazelrigg‚ “It’s the state’s duty to protect human life in every situation.” After introducing Hazelrigg as the man “who opened the door for the court's ruling after he petitioned for the case to be reviewed‚” Griffin embraced the pro-abortion framing as she asked him‚ “Do you think women should have the right to choose what to do with their own bodies&;#63;” As for Hazelrigg’s response‚ it was almost certainly heavily edited down‚ “Within a certain context‚ and with certain limitations.” It would have been nice if NBC allowed Hazelrigg to explain what he meant by “certain context‚” but Griffin had to get back to the pro-abortion activists “Some people in the state now galvanized to make their vote count in November‚ when they will likely weigh in on an expected ballot measure to codify reproductive rights in the state's constitution.” A second unidentified woman explained‚ “We want everyone to have a choice about their own bodies. It's not a politician's choice.” Whether it is a life is a matter of fact‚ not opinion‚ but NBC decided not to pursue that angle. Here is a transcript for the April 13 show: NBC Today 4/13/2024 7:13 AM ET DANA GRIFFIN: So‚ the attorney general has already made it clear she will not prosecute any doctors who perform abortions when this law is reinstated‚ but the doctors I spoke with plan to follow the law and stop performing abortions until it is legal again.  Vice President Kamala Harris at a rally in Tucson‚ slamming the Arizona Supreme Court ruling that enforces a Civil War-era law banning nearly all abortions.  KAMALA HARRIS: Here in Arizona‚ they have turned back the clock to the 1800s.  GRIFFIN: Adding that former President Trump is partly to blame.  HARRIS: As much harm as he has already caused‚ a second Trump term would be even worse.  GRIFFIN: On Truth Social‚ Trump writing “the Supreme Court in Arizona went too far” and “we must ideally have the three exceptions for rape‚ incest‚ and life of the mother.” But the issue of abortion access goes beyond politics for women.  UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN: Disbelief‚ anger.  GRIFFIN: Dr. Jill Gibson said patients were shocked and confused.  JILL GIBSON: I had friends calling me saying was it still safe for friends who were pregnant who are out of state to travel to Arizona to visit them. This is the atmosphere of fear.  GRIFFIN: The 1864 law which only makes exceptions for the life of the mother and makes performing abortions punishable by up to five years in prison was decided Tuesday in a bombshell ruling by the state Supreme Court.  ERIC HAZELRIGG: It’s the state’s duty to protect human life in every situation GRIFFIN: Dr. Eric Hazelrigg is the OB-GYN who opened the door for the court's ruling after he petitioned for the case to be reviewed.  Do you think women should have the right to choose what to do with their own bodies&;#63; HAZELRIGG: Within a certain context‚ and with certain limitations.  GRIFFIN: Some people in the state now galvanized to make their vote count in November‚ when they will likely weigh in on an expected ballot measure to codify reproductive rights in the state's constitution.  UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN 2: We want everyone to have a choice about their own bodies. It's not a politician's choice.

OJ Simpson's friend said the former NFLer couldn't let his ex-wife go‚ kept photos of her displayed in home

OJ Simpson reportedly couldn't let his wife go‚ even two decades after her death. The New York Post reported that the convicted felon had several photos displayed of Nicole Brown Simpson around his home in Miami‚ for all to see.Simpson passed away last week from prostate cancer. His family posted the following to his X account on Thursday: &;quot; On April 10th‚ our father‚ Orenthal James Simpson‚ succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition‚ his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family.&;quot; — (@) Charles Ehrlich‚ an accomplice in the former NFL player's 2007 armed robbery heist in Last Vegas‚ said Simpson had &;quot;pictures of his ex-wife all over his house. Him‚ his wife‚ his family — together. . . . They were everywhere.”Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were found stabbed to death outside her home in Brentwood‚ California‚ in June 1994. Simpson's case became famous after he was acquitted on murder charges in the pair's death in 1995. However‚ the Post reported that Simpson was ordered to pay $33.5 million to the victim's families after he was found liable for their deaths in a civil court case.Ehrlich insisted that Simpson didn't commit the murders. Ehrlich and Simpson reportedly met during a banquet dinner in the early 2000s in Miami.“If you did something so horrific‚ and you had pictures of your ex-wife all over your home‚ you don’t want to remember something like that‚ would you&;#63;”Ehrlich went on to say that Simpson would get teary-eyed whenever he was asked if he had anything to do with his ex-wife's murder.“‘[I] would have never done something so terrible‚'” Ehrlich said Simpson mentioned one time.Simpson grew up in San Francisco and attended the University of Southern California. He went on to win the Heisman Trophy as college football's best player in 1968 and ultimately played running back in the NFL.Blaze News previously reported:The Buffalo Bills made him the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft in 1969. Earning the nickname &;quot; The Juice‚&;quot; he subsequently made five first-team All-Pro squads and six Pro Bowls. He outdid his college best in the pro league‚ rushing for 2‚000 yards in a single season to secure the MVP title in 1973. After nine years with the Buffalo Bills‚ he spent his final two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Arizona Coyotes franchise to relocate to Salt Lake City: Report

Players on the Arizona Coyotes were told by the organization that they should be expected to relocate to Salt Lake City‚ according to the New York Post. The Arizona-based NHL team has underperformed since the 2011-2012 season‚ making the postseason just once‚ in 2020.General Manager Bill Armstrong reportedly flew to Edmonton‚ Alberta‚ where the Coyotes were set to do battle against the Oilers. However‚ before the team stepped onto the ice‚ Armstrong told the players they could potentially be going to Salt Lake City‚ according to an anonymous source familiar with the situation. — (@) The team has been playing in Arizona State University's Mullett Arena in Tempe‚ which holds just 5‚000 people‚ according to the Daily Faceoff. None of the players were available to take questions following their 3-2 overtime win against Edmonton. Head coach Andre Tourigny said he would only take questions about the game‚ appearing to avoid questions about the organization's future‚ per the report.“This team has been through a lot of adversity‚” Tourigny said. “The first time the rumor came around‚ we didn’t manage it well and we shoot ourselves in the foot‚ went on a 14-game losing streak.&;quot;&;quot; Our guys are showing how proud they are‚ how much they care for each other and how much they want to have success with each other. It’s cool to feel that‚ cool to see them cheering each other and pushing in the same direction like that‚&;quot; he continued. — (@) Reports mentioned that Ryan Smith‚ the owner of the NBA's Utah Jazz‚ could be working to acquire an NHL team‚ a move that could include the league buying the Coyotes from Alex Meruelo.Smith has reportedly been playing with name ideas for the team if they do ultimately play in Salt Lake City next season. The NHL has been working on ironing out the details of the 2024-2025 draft based on whether the franchise will stay in Arizona or go off to Utah. The Smith Entertainment group said in January that it was very interested in bringing a hockey team to Salt Lake City and had the means of doing so. The team‚ if they end up in Utah‚ would play at the Delta Center until a new arena could be built. Some have pointed out that the timing of the announcement was suspicious‚ given that it was revealed halfway through the season and without a long-term home for the franchise.Like Blaze News&;#63; Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. What this canceled doctor just revealed about Big Pharma is “so spicy‚ so juicy‚” you can’t miss it

What this canceled doctor just revealed about Big Pharma is “so spicy‚ so juicy‚” you can’t miss it

On this special episode of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered‚” your favorite spicy Latina invites former G.I. surgeon and medical researcher Dr. Andrew Wakefield — who Wikipedia labels as a “fraudster‚ discredited academic‚ [and] anti-vaccine activist” — to challenge the mainstream narrative surrounding Big Pharma. Also joining the show is Matthew Marsden‚ BlazeTV contributor and star of Wakefield’s new film‚ &;quot;Protocol-7‚” which is a bombshell “whistleblower story” that chronicles the true events of the lawsuit against Merck for the firm’s allegedly harmful MMR vaccine. Together‚ the three discuss what Sara calls “epic levels of Big Pharma corruption.” So‚ how did Dr. Wakefield become “Big Pharma's number one enemy&;#63;” Simple. He spoke the truth even when the truth was inconvenient. Turns out when you “confront government policy and you threaten pharmaceutical industry profiteering‚” you “take a relatively promising medical career and flush it down the toilet‚” says Dr. Wakefield‚ adding that he’s been embroiled in this battle for “30 years now.” The longstanding narrative surrounding Dr. Wakefield is that he claimed “vaccines cause autism.” However‚ that’s not even close to the full story. “In 1995‚ I started getting calls from parents saying my child was perfectly well ... and then they had an MMR vaccine‚ then they had a seizure‚ and they were never the same again; the lights went out‚ and they were ultimately diagnosed with autism‚” he tells Sara. While Dr. Wakefield was not trained in matters related to autism‚ parents continued to call him because their children were simultaneously experiencing painful “intractable bowel problems‚” which was within his scope of practice. However‚ “The doctors and nurses I talked to dismissed this. They said‚ ‘This is just autism‚ get used to it‚ put them in a home‚ forget about them‚ move on‚ [and] have another child.”’ Thankfully‚ instead of silently complying‚ Dr. Wakefield “put together a big team of eminent doctors and the world's leading pediatric gastroenterologists at the time.” “We investigated these children‚ and the parents were absolutely right‚” he says. “The children had an inflammatory bowel disease‚ and when we treated that bowel disease as we might treat Crohn's disease or colitis with anti-inflammatories‚ then not only did the bowel symptoms get better‚ but they started speaking again.” “We did it 183 times before I left the Royal Free [Hospital]‚ and it happened virtually every single time.” When it had become clear “that the medical profession was wrong on virtually every count” related to the effects of its vaccines‚ Dr. Wakefield suggested “dissociating these vaccines into their component parts ... given perhaps by separation of one year.” In other words‚ he never suggested not taking vaccines but rather just taking them separately in order to better study the effects of each individual vaccine. So while he drew “no conclusions‚” made “[no] definitive statements‚” and per protocol‚ suggested a “more detailed study” based on the case series he’d drawn up‚ his words were twisted and manipulated‚ eventually leading to his expulsion from the medical field altogether.
