Arya is a blue heeler, also known as an Australian cattle dog. These members of the working dog class are excellent herders. They are born with the instinct to “herd.” Sometimes, it doesn’t matter what animal is in front of them. A herding dog will round up sheep, cattle, goats, or the occasional poodle. Although much skinnier, a standard poodle’s size is comparable to that of a full-grown sheep. The poodle belongs to Sarah Patch, who visited Arya for a puppy playdate.
