Former “Dance Moms” star JoJo Siwa debuted a drastically different look at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday‚ explaining that she’s evolving to cater to an older audience. The former reality star has been a role model for younger children for most of her career‚ marketing her YouTube channel‚ merchandise‚ and overall brand to pre-teens and younger girls. The 20-year-old was known for wearing oversized hair bows‚ brightly colored outfits‚ and singing bubblegum pop songs.  Siwa stepped out at the iHeartRadio Awards dressed in all black with a revealing cut-out mesh bodysuit‚ combat boots‚ dramatic black eye makeup‚ and a faux mohawk. The singer said she wore the same outfit while recording her new music video for the single “Karma.” “This is my ‘KARMA‚’ black beast look‚” Siwa said during a red carpet interview with E! News. “It’s got some rips in it‚ but you’d never know.” When asked how she’s responding to backlash for her new‚ more provocative look‚ Siwa said‚ “People are afraid of things they don’t know. House Republicans have introduced a long-shot bill that would rename one of the major airports in the Washington‚ D.C.‚ metropolitan area after former President Donald Trump. Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA)‚ who is the chief deputy whip of the House GOP‚ announced on Tuesday that he was leading the endeavor to rename Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia as the Donald J. Trump International Airport. “As millions of domestic and international travelers fly through the airport‚ there is no better symbol of freedom‚ prosperity‚ and strength than hearing ‘Welcome to Trump International Airport’ as they land on American soil‚” Reschenthaler said. The two-page bill has several GOP co-sponsors‚ including Reps. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN)‚ Paul Gosar (R-AZ)‚ Troy Nehls (R-TX)‚ Andy Ogles (R-TN)‚ Barry Moore (R-AL)‚ and Mike Waltz (R-FL). Other than the name designation‚ the bill says any “reference in any law‚ regulation‚ map‚ document‚ paper‚ or other record of the United States” to the airport shall be considered a reference to “Donald J. Trump International Airport.” Trump is in the middle of seeking another term in the White House and garnered enough delegates to clinch the GOP nomination after his last primary rival‚ Nikki Haley‚ suspended her campaign. Although the GOP is largely rallying behind Trump’s candidacy‚ the bill faces long odds. In the House‚ Republicans have a slim majority. Democrats control the Senate‚ while President Joe Biden‚ who is also running for a second term‚ is the current occupant of the White House. Yet this is what a Member of House Republican leadership focuses on — renaming Virginia’s Dulles airport after Trump.” Dulles Airport‚ which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2022‚ was named after Secretary of State John Foster Dulles who served under President Dwight D. Eisenhower. It is one of three major airports in the D.C. area‚ along with Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

The lawyer for some of Lizzo’s former employees has publicly responded to the singer’s recent declaration that she is quitting the music industry. Attorney Ron Zambrano is representing several individuals who accused Lizzo of harassment and are seeking damages. The Los Angeles-based lawyer claims the “About Damn Time” singer’s announcement was just a cry for “attention.” “It’s a joke that Lizzo would say she is being bullied by the internet when she should instead be taking an honest look at herself‚” Zambrano wrote in the statement‚ per Billboard.  “Her latest post is just another outburst seeking attention and trying to deflect from her own failings as she continues to blame everyone else for the predicament she is in. Lizzo’s legal and public relations strategy is a failure‚ so she is desperately trying to play the victim‚” he continued. “She has thrown these childish tantrums before.
