Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential candidate and a veteran of the U.S. Marines, ripped Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday for questioning his loyalty to the country. Vance responded to an ad Harris cut accusing Vance of being loyal “only to Trump, not to our country.” The Republican vice presidential candidate hit back at Harris during a Trump campaign rally in Minnesota. “Now, I saw the other day Kamala Harris questioned my loyalty to this country. That’s the word she used; loyalty. And it’s an interesting word. Semper Fi. Loyalty,” Vance said, referencing the Marine Corps’ motto, Semper Fi, which typically translates to “always faithful” or “always loyal.” “Because there is no greater sign of disloyalty to this country than what Kamala Harris has done at our southern border.” “And I’d like to ask the vice president, what has she done to question my loyalty to this country? I served in the United States Marine Corps. I went to Iraq for this country. I built a business for this country. And my running mate took a bullet for this country,” Vance continued. “So, my question to Kamala Harris is, what the hell have you done to question our loyalty to the United States of America?” “The answer, my friends, is: nothing. So let’s send a message to the media. Let’s send a message to Kamala Harris. Let’s send a message to every hardworking patriot from Minnesota across the country. What the hell has Kamala done to question our loyalty to America? pic.twitter.com/WykF5pRY4Y — JD Vance (@JDVance) July 28, 2024 After Trump named Vance as his vice presidential pick, Harris cut an ad targeting the senator from Ohio, characterizing him as a “rubber stamp” for Trump’s “extreme agenda.” “Trump looked for someone he knew would be a rubber stamp for his extreme agenda and make no mistake: JD Vance will be loyal only to Trump, not to our country,” Harris says. Vance has peppered Harris with criticisms since President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race on July 21 and endorsed Harris for the presidency. Harris has reportedly secured the pledges of enough Democratic delegates to the party convention to get the nod as the official Democratic Party candidate for president. Vance was quick to accuse Harris of effectively being a rubber stamp for Biden’s presidency soon after the president’s endorsement was made. “Joe Biden has been the worst President in my lifetime and Kamala Harris has been right there with him every step of the way. Over the last four years she co-signed Biden’s open border and green scam policies that drove up the cost of housing and groceries,” Vance said.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said over the weekend that Vice President Kamala Harris, if she becomes the next president of the United States, will making sure that the millions of illegal aliens that have flooded into the U.S. under President Joe Biden become U.S. citizens. Warren made the remarks during a Sunday interview with Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union” while talking about how President Joe Biden appointed Harris to be his border czar. “President Biden charged Vice President Harris with addressing the root causes of mass migration at the border by going to those Central American countries,” Tapper said. :She’s consistently defended his handling of the border crisis. I don’t know — I don’t need to tell you voters overwhelmingly disapprove of how the Biden/Harris administration has handled the border.” “By giving the nomination to one of the leaders of the border effort, aren’t Democrats doubling down on one of your party’s biggest vulnerabilities?” he asked. Warren claimed that border crossing are lower under the Biden administration than they were under the Trump administration and that it was a problem that Congress had to solve. “We need the tools in order to have more resources at the border, to have more resources in the states and cities that are supporting migrants. And I believe we need to create a pathway to citizenship. He runs and grabs his favorite toy, which appears to be a stuffed sheep or cow, and places it on the baby’s chair. When the newborn doesn’t immediately respond by throwing it, the dog thinks to help her out. He adorably nudges it with his nose, demonstrating that she should grab it. He continues to boop the toy and look at the newborn, full of anticipation for a game of fetch. When the newborn’s only response is to cry, the dog steps back and appears confused.
