The annual New Year’s Eve celebration on CNN has become a notably raucous on-air affair in recent years, but as 2024 came to an end there was one segment of Tuesday’s broadcast that seemed to even shock co-h0st Anderson Cooper. Comedian Whitney Cummings was invited to give a humorous recap of the year, and she surprisingly chose to skewer the left, focusing specifically on Kamala Harris and the very network on which she was appearing. Former CNN host Don Lemon seems to be having a difficult time processing the results of November’s elections. Just days after he went on a profanity-laced rant against supporters of President Donald Trump, which sparked immense criticism online, Lemon has released another message that only intensified the vitriol. As Fox News reported: At the start of his YouTube show Tuesday night, Lemon addressed the backlash he received after calling MAGA supporters “stupid and dumb” in an expletive-filled rant days earlier. Though he insisted that he was reacting to people who had a “racist” response to President-elect Donald Trump appointing Sriram Krishnan as a senior advisor on artificial intelligence, he went on to further attack Trump supporters. “So, as always, everybody gets all butthurt! I’m not referring to all Trump supporters,” Lemon said. “I’m talking to the MAGA-brained people who will say and do anything to make excuses for any behavior that Donald Trump does, any bad behavior that the MAGA movement does.” He continued, “So yes, I stand by my words! Authorities in Louisiana say a motorist plowed into a crowd along Bourbon Street in New Orleans during a large holiday celebration early Wednesday morning, leaving at least 10 people dead and many others injured. Early reports indicate the subject might have exited the vehicle and fired a weapon into the crowd, though this and other details had not yet been confirmed as of the latest updates available. According to Fox News: “The 8th District is currently working a mass casualty incident involving a vehicle that drove into a large crowd on Canal and Bourbon Street,” city officials said. The NOLA City website stated 30 injured patients had been transported by NOEMS to local hospitals and announced there were at least 10 fatalities. The research, conducted at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, represents a new and potentially worrying advancement in vaccine technology.
