Nearly a month after their first encampment was cleared by law enforcement, anti-Israel protesters at the University of California, Los Angeles set up another encampment on school property, but it was short-lived. Police moved in quickly after it was established.Occupiers set up the encampment Thursday morning as UCLA's chancellor testified to Congress about the school's failures to maintain a safe environment. Private security and campus police tried to isolate the camp by creating a perimeter and not allowing additional people, food, or water to enter.'They had been planning this encampment for a good amount of time.'Anti-Israel protesters had been promising for weeks to take over a portion of UCLA after the first camp was dismantled in an hours-long operation by police. Other colleges have been cracking down on the camps as they create a hostile environment. Other universities have managed to get occupiers to agree to dismantle the camps after agreeing to some or many of their demands to financially divest from Israel or participate in an academic boycott. — (@) A few hours after the new camp's creation at UCLA, police moved in to remove people after failing to disperse. While some people started to leave, many in the crowd started a sit-in to occupy the building."I think when they leave campus for the summer, it will be in our streets. So many schools are doing this, that no matter where they go home to, there’ll be enough of them – and they’ll have more non-students assisting. They had been planning this encampment for a good amount of time. I’ve heard whispers while undercover for quite a while," Cam Higby, a journalist with Today is America, told Blaze News when asked if he believed protesters will continue with camps on school property.After giving his statement to Blaze News, Higby was accosted by the protesters inside the building and was physically pushed outside.Another encampment, complete with barricades, has remained in place at the California State University, Los Angeles for a few weeks.Like Blaze News? When I was a boy, 'woman' meant someone who didn’t have a c*ck,” Marshall began. “‘Populism’ has become a word used synonymously with ‘racists.’ We’ve heard ‘ethnonationalists,’ with ‘bigot,’ with ‘hillbilly,’ with ‘redneck,’ with ‘deplorables.’” “January 6th has been mentioned, a dark day for America indeed. And I’m sure Congresswoman Pelosi will agree that the entire month of June 2020, when the federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon, was under siege and under insurrection by radical progressives, those too were dark days for America,” he continued. Pelosi, who was seated nearby, decided to interrupt Marshall’s speech to say, “There is no equivalence there.” “It is not like what happened on January 6th, which was an insurrection incited by the president of the United States,” she added confidently. But Marshall didn’t let her get away with it. “Today, particularly in America, the globalist-left have become the establishment. I suppose for Mrs. Pelosi to take this side of the motion, she would be arguing herself out of a job,” Marshall said, adding that Trump should have accepted the election in 2020. “So should Hillary in 2016,” he continued. “And so too should Congresswoman Pelosi, instead of saying the 2016 election was quote ‘hijacked.’” “It was,” Pelosi squeaked back before Marshall smiled, and the audience laughed. “Nancy Pelosi is still claiming that the 2016 election was hijacked,” Rubin laughs. A Florida man says that he was kicked out of his apartment over the "negative energy" of his posts in a Facebook group. Robert Dressler told WTSP-TV that he got a non-renewal notice from the apartment manager at The Slade at Channelside. Dressler has lived at the building for two years, and he says that the manager treats him and other tenants poorly. “They make me feel like some kind of middle school kid,” he said. 'Fruit flies in the drains, doors that won't lock, and dog droppings found in hallways.'Dressler loves the location, with easy access to Tampa Riverwalk and nearby restaurants. He said he asked the management why they had given him notice to move out. “I asked them why,” he said. “They had said it's because of the negative energy you create in a Facebook group and lies and misleading claims.”Dressler said that he created a Facebook group about the apartment building when he moved in. According to a review of WTSP, many of the posts involve negative comments criticizing the building management. They include complaints about fruit flies in the drains, doors that won't lock, and dog droppings found in hallways. He showed WTSP a letter the management sent him about the complaints. "It has been brought to our attention that your participation in the Slade Resident Facebook page has created and fostered a negative environment for the building.You have detoured (sic) prospects from renting as well as made multiple false and misleading claims about the property, which is counterproductive to our business and the enjoyment of others in the building." Dressler said he asked them to explain what posts they believed were negative, but they ignored him. WTSP reported that the management company did not respond to their inquiries for why they did not renew his tenancy.Dressler says he talked to an attorney about possibly taking legal action against the apartment management, but he was told it wasn't worth the effort. “At the end of the day, when you're talking about paying lawyers and fees, the cost outweighs the cost of just moving,” he explained.WTSP said Florida landlords are given a lot of leeway over non-renewals, but it was unclear whether Facebook posts would hold up in court as a reasonable cause.
