The RNC Calls on Gen Z to Lead

Speakers at the Republican National Convention not only shared their support for former President Donald Trump and J.D. Vance but gave a special charge to Generation Z: Revive the nation’s glory.  “Our message to Gen Z is this: You’re going to be the generation that saves this country.” Vivek Ramaswamy, a former presidential candidate, said. “You want to be a rebel, you want to be a hippie, you want to stick it to the man — show up on your college campus and try calling yourself a conservative.” (READ MORE: Want to Be a Rebel? Be a Conservative.) Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk also addressed Gen Z’s concerns and how the Biden-Harris administration has failed this generation’s desire for success. “To all the Gen Zers watching this convention on TikTok right now… You don’t have to stay poor. You don’t have to accept being worse off than your parents. You don’t have to feel aimless and unhappy. You don’t have to support leaders who lied to you and took advantage of you for your votes,” he said.  My full speech at the 2024 RNC pic.twitter.com/jXaIMObeAQ — Charlie Kirk (@charliekirk11) July 16, 2024 Also appearing at the convention were the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill fraternity members, who made headlines for holding up the American flag from mobs who were trying to take it down in early May. “We knew we couldn’t let that happen. We stood guard, we held it up, and we did not let it fall. It was all about respect, not just for the cloth, but for everything that the flag stands for. Too many people have sacrificed everything for it,” one member said at the convention.  The UNC Flag Frat boys have arrived at the RNC. Tomorrow starts with us.”  Even though 31 percent of Gen Z adults identify as Democrats as opposed to 23 percent who identify as Republicans, Gen Z conservatives aren’t afraid of taking on leadership roles. Just last year, 21-year-old Georgian Brooke Huckaby became the youngest female mayor in American history. Huckaby was elected Republican mayor of Arabi, Georgia, on Nov. 7, following in the footsteps of her father, Craig Huckaby.  “It’s just really concerning to me how people my age aren’t involved in our economy or politics or any real thing going on in the world, and I just wanted to be the one to make that change and take that step forward where other people aren’t,” Huckaby told Fox & Friends. As mayor, Huckaby is focusing on improving the small town with internet connectivity, road construction, and establishing a police department.  This new generation of young voters and leaders is helping make America great again. Biden Slammed for 'Repulsive' Statement on Secret Service Director's Resignation

Even as a lame duck "president," Joe Biden sure does have a knack for shoving his webbed foot squarely into his gaping bill. Normally, when a subordinate messes up so badly that they are forced to tender a resignation, a simple acceptance and acknowledgement should be all that's required. As...

Grieving Mom Breaks Her Silence As Details of Shannen Doherty’s Final Moments Are Revealed

Shannen Doherty passed away on Saturday, July 13th. The actress, known for her roles in Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed, lost her battle with stage 4 breast cancer. Her publicist, Leslie Sloane, made a statement about her passing. “It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty,” she said in a statement to Us. “The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.” RELATED: Shannen Doherty Gives Heartbreaking Cancer Update but Vows to Keep Fighting Rosa Doherty is Breaking Her Silence Rosa Doherty, Shannen’s mother, is breaking her silence on her daughter’s death. “She is my beautiful girl and my heart,” she told People. “Our family wants to thank everyone who has shown love and support for our Shannen throughout her life. We are truly appreciative.” In 2017, after being diagnosed in 2015, Shannen went into remission. However, the cancer came back in 2020. She then shared in 2023 that the cancer had spread to her bones and her brain. Shannen Doherty sadly passed away after a long and good fight. Born in Tennessee, one of Shannen’s earliest television roles was playing Jenny Wilder on Little House on the Prairie at age 11. Her most famous role was playing Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills 90210, and later, Prue Halliwell in the TV show Charmed. She has created many fans over the years, and many have felt her loss deeply. RELATED: Scott Hamilton on How Faith Guided Him Through His Cancer Fight Shannen Came From a Determined Woman Shannen talked about her mom, Rosa, in a 2023 interview with People. “I come from a woman who was determined,” the actor said. “She impressed that upon me as a very young child like, ‘You don’t give up. You just have to work hard at it.’ ” And that she did, from her acting career to her fight against cancer. She was always a strong fighter and never gave up. As her cancer progressed, she couldn’t help but think about her mom. Last April, she talked on her own podcast, Let’s Be Clear, about what would happen after losing her fight against breast cancer. “Because it's going to be so hard on her, I want other things to be a lot easier,” the actress said. "I don't want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with. I don't want her to have four storage units filled with furniture.” RELATED: Shannen Doherty Shares Reality In Cancer Update As She Goes Into Surgery: ‘I'm Petrified' WATCH: Shannen Doherty Talks About Dying Before She Passed Away She Believed in God “I thoroughly believe in God, and I definitely have faith, and I believe we are walking the path that we are supposed to,” Shannen said on the podcast. She then went on to say, "I'm not done with living. I'm not done with loving. I'm not done with creating. I'm not done with hopefully changing things for the better, I'm just not - I'm not done.” YOU MAY ALSO LIKE: Shannen Doherty Plans When She Will Say Goodbye to Family as She Battles Deadly Disease Rosa, 76, was Shannen’s support system despite struggling with her own health issues.
