“Not A Dry Eye” Around After Little Boy In Wheelchair Hits Epic Home Run

Millions are cheering for this little boy after he hit the most heartwarming and epic home run. Nine-year-old Thomas W. Hawthorne lives with a rare brittle bone disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta. As his YouTube page explains, the disorder causes his bones to fracture “without doing much of anything.” Because of that, he has to spend “most of” his life “in a bubble.” However, Thomas doesn’t let his disorder completely sideline him. He and his parents find ways for him to have fun, and one of his favorite pastimes is baseball.  View this post on Instagram A post shared by Hope Rises (@hoperisesnetwork) Thomas is part of The Little League Challenger Division, which is an adaptive program that allows children with physical and intellectual disabilities to enjoy the game safely. But Thomas does more than enjoy the game—he also slays it.  The Little Boy Made “The Best Home Run” Ever During a recent matchup, the little boy hit a home run and made a celebratory dash around the bases with the help of a teacher. She pushed his wheelchair as Thomas pumped his arms with determination, hoping to make it past 1st, 2nd, and 3rd without getting tagged out. The crowd cheered as he plowed through the field, and when he touched home base, you could see he created a core memory. “Not a DRY EYE on that diamond or in the stands! ,” reads the caption on a reshare on his Instagram page. “If that doesn’t warm your heart, what will? ” The video was originally shared on Thomas Hawthorne’s social media pages on May 11. Nearly all the posts have over 1 million views today, and dozens of major publications have highlighted his sweet and moving moment. “I didn’t wanna cry today!!!! I love this so much!!” someone wrote under his TikTok post. “That is the best home run I’ve ever seen in my life,” added another. “Way to go.” “Just brought the biggest smile to my face in the longest time, he was running y’all, he knew it in his heart he was,” a commenter shared. “May he always shine!!!” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. Rise in Stolen Singaporean ID Data Shows The Dangers of Digital ID

If you're tired of censorship and dystopian threats against civil liberties, subscribe to Reclaim The Net. A recent advisory published by the Resecurity cybersecurity vendor exposes a trend now developing on the dark web – more and more stolen biometrics-based data is ending up in this corner of the internet. These revelations, describing the increase in activity of this type as “significant,” highlight the case of Singapore, including its SingPass scheme. At the same time, they confirm that the fears of the digital ID and age verification push sooner or later turning into a privacy nightmare. In Singapore, every citizen and resident has a SingPass (Singapore Personal Access) digital ID account, which is touted by the authorities in the city-state as their “trusted digital identity” – not to mention a “convenient” one. Blackhat hackers, however, beg to disagree, and it’s hard to imagine that digital ID holders affected by identity theft think of the scheme as in any way “convenient.” Security researchers say that overall, year-on-year, as many as 230 percent more “vendors” are now selling stolen personal information that often contains facial recognition data, fingerprints, and other biometrics belonging to Singaporeans. A majority of this data has been up for sale on the XSS dark web forum, according to the same source. In 2024 thus far, this type of activity peaked in April, following a rise in data breaches where cybercriminals targeted a number of online databases that store this information. Stolen citizens’ identities are then used for a variety of criminal activities, including fraud, scams, and the creation of deepfakes. But once this kind of floodgate opens, exposing particularly sensitive data, spies and various governments are never far behind the common criminals in exploiting the breaches. Other than supposedly being “easy and secure,” SingPass gives access to more than 1,700 government and private sector services in Singapore, both online, and in person. But Resecurity said that more than 2,377 of these accounts were compromised last month alone, with the firm saying the holders of those have been notified of this discovery. However, the firm’s advisory noted that in many cases online platforms that suffer data breaches do not disclose these incidents, which means that citizens and residents in Singapore whose identities have been stolen are not even aware of this. Only 24% of Americans believe Biden could stay awake long enough to navigate a Cuban Missile-like Crisis: Report

Only 24% of Americans believe Biden could stay awake long enough to navigate a Cuban Missile-like Crisis: Report

The Daily Mail reported that just one in four Americans believe President Joe Biden could stay up for 48 hours to face a situation similar to the Cuban Missile Crisis. The revelations come after Biden has faced heavy criticism from both sides of the political aisle, with many Democrats urging him to step down as the nominee following a disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump late last month.During the Cuban Missile Crisis, the fate of the world was in question for 13 days. JFK had set up a blockade on Cuba after it was discovered, through surveillance, that a Soviet missile site was being constructed on the communist island in 1962.'Biden was already performing badly on that metric, now he is performing catastrophically.'The prospect of war fizzled after the Soviet Union turned back its ships. Consequently, Kennedy was perceived by many Americans as being a strong leader who stood up to the Soviets during a time of crisis. However, some Americans are not even convinced that Biden could stay up for the amount of time required to put down a similar situation.Americans have become convinced that the president's age has had a profoundly negative effect on his ability to lead the nation. The report noted that members of Biden's team said he would stop scheduled events at 8:00 p.m. so that he could get more sleep, according to the Mail. The report said J.L. Partners asked 1,000 American voters if they believed Biden could stay up through a Cuban Missile-type Crisis. Only 24% of respondents said that he could. Additionally, just 38% believe he could remember the name of another world leader. Americans have also lost confidence that the president could effectively take in his daily national security briefings.James Johnson, co-founder of J.L. Partners, said the numbers are worrisome for Biden."What voters are looking for most from their politicians is strength: Strength in standing up for America, strength in facing down America’s adversaries, strength in getting things done domestically," Johnson said."Biden was already performing badly on that metric, now he is performing catastrophically.""It has taken focus away from Trump's conviction and completely dampened any negative effect of that. Biden's strategic aim—remind voters of Trump’s negatives through the aftermath of the conviction and then the debate—has failed.""If voters do not think you can do the job, nothing matters – even the unpopularity of your opponent."The New York Times editorial board, comedian Bill Maher, and pollster Nate Silver appear to agree that it is time for Biden to step down as the Democratic presidential nominee. But despite these prominent voices expressing a need for someone new to face Trump, Biden has reiterated that he plans to be the presidential nominee. Trump has also marginally increased his lead over Biden, according to the report.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. 'God, family, and country': Kirk Cameron announces that he has left California for Tennessee

Actor Kirk Cameron announced on Wednesday that he has left California for Tennessee. He is the latest in a growing number of celebrities who have decided to get away from the Pacific Coast, according to the Washington Examiner.Cameron, who starred in "Full House," "Growing Pains," and "Left Behind," said he had considered getting out of the Golden State for the past few years. The report mentioned that Cameron was especially averse to the strict COVID-19 regulations present in the state at the time.'After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided (it’s) time to move on and leave the state of California permanently.'Following the worst of the pandemic, Cameron turned to his fans, asking them where they would prefer to live. He said California had drummed up "so much division" and that he wanted to reside somewhere that had a "healthy freedom-mindset," according to the Daily Caller.“It’s pretty clear that California has been moving in a particular direction for a long time,” Cameron said. Other notable celebrities who have fled California include Dave Rubin, Mark Wahlberg, and Sylvester Stallone. Rubin announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, in 2021 that he was "officially leaving the dystopian nightmare of California for the free state of Florida." — (@) The Palm Beach Post reported in March that Stallone had also decided to get out of California and move to Florida. “After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided (it’s) time to move on and leave the state of California permanently,” Stallone said to his daughters. “And, we're going to Florida.” “We already have a place (in Florida). It's a done deal.” Stallone confessed that it was his wife who made a huge push to get out of the Golden State."We have a lot of roots in California, so it's not an easy transition to Florida," he said. "But, Jennifer really had her heart set on it. I gave in."Cameron said one of the primary reasons why he decided to get out of California was because he and his family "didn't feel safe anymore," according to another report. The "Full House" actor, leading up to the move to Tennessee, was critical of drag queen story hour. He has pushed for more faith-based events and family-oriented gatherings that would be more appropriate for children. Cameron told the Washington Examiner that he encouraged people who have experienced "serious economic problems and division" to consider moving to Tennessee, where people are "all about God, family, and country."Like Blaze News?
