The Republican Party released its 2024 platform on Monday, one week before the start of the GOP convention where former President Donald Trump is set to be nominated for a third time. The new party platform parrots talking points used by Trump throughout his 2024 presidential campaign, focusing on securing the border, deporting illegal immigrants, and ending inflation, among a list of other priorities. In the document, President Joe Biden’s time in office is slammed as chaotic and unstable as the U.S. faces “Raging Inflation, Open Borders, Rampant Crime, Attacks on our Children, and Global Conflict.” “Our future, our identity, and our very way of life are under threat like never before. Today we must once again call upon the same American Spirit that led us to prevail through every challenge of the past if we are going to lead our Nation to a brighter future,” states the platform’s preamble, which is titled “America First: A Return to Common Sense.” “Like the Heroes who built and defended this Nation before us, we will never give up,” the document continues. “We will restore our Nation of, by, and for the People. We will Make America Great Again. We will be a Nation based on Truth, Justice, and Common Sense.” In total, Republicans put forward a list of 20 commitments the party will accomplish “very quickly” if it wins the White House and majorities in both houses of Congress. The RNC Convention begins in Milwaukee next Monday. Along with Trump becoming the official nominee, Republicans will also find out who the former president will tap as his running mate. Trump will head to the convention following a major debate victory against Biden as the White House continues to assuage fears about the 81-year-old president’s mental and physical stamina.

Britney Spears made it clear she’s done with men after her recent divorce from Sam Asghari and her more recent romance with the handyman felon, Paul Soliz.  In a post on her Instagram Stories, the 42-year-old pop singer wondered aloud about some of the things Soliz had done while driving in a car with her while they were being followed by the paparazzi, Page Six reported. “Why was he going 90 in a neighborhood with one [paparazzi] following only to roll the window down when the [paparazzi] pulls to the side of me?” Spears asked. “Then he calls his mom and says he’s being harassed,” she added. “Why did he roll the window down with me crying in the seat?” Britney Spears in recent Instagram post: “Single as f*** !!! I will never be with another man as long as I live!” It was then deleted, the outlet noted. In May, TMZ reported that loved ones are reportedly worried that another conservatorship will be the only way to keep the “violent” star safe from “hurting herself or others” amid reports of her alleged erratic behavior. Multiple sources told the outlet that the singer is reportedly often not taking her mental health medications and that they are concerned Spears’ “mental health is in a tailspin.”  Those with knowledge alleged that since the end of the conservatorship, Spears is reportedly drinking and using illegal drugs, after she previously struggled with substance abuse, the outlet noted. The report alleged that sources say Spear’s reported boyfriend, Soliz, is running “her household and her life,” with sources also claiming the pop star can’t be reasoned with because her “mood swings often turn into rages that end in physical violence.” Sources told the outlet that Spears is in “grave danger,” with several people close to the singer reportedly speaking up about the alleged incidents in hopes that a California court will consider a new conservatorship, the New York Daily News noted. In September 2023, reports surfaced that Spears and Soliz were dating amid her divorce to Asghari after 14 months of marriage.  In November 2021, a judge terminated Britney’s conservatorship, which had been in place for nearly 14 years.
