Redlands, CA – A Silver Alert has been issued for an elderly couple, Dan and Stephanie Menard, who have been reported missing since early Sunday morning.
The couple, known for their warm presence at New Life Baptist Church in Moreno Valley, was last seen between 2:30 a.m. and 80 a.m. on August 24, around Kessel Road in Colton, CA. Their family and friends are extremely worried for their safety, especially since Dan suffers from dementia and has a history of wandering off.
Authorities have found their vehicle abandoned and unlocked at the bottom of Kessel, with the keys still inside. Furthermore, their home was left unattended with lights and appliances still on, suggesting that they left in a hurry.
Witnesses described the couple as inseparable, accompanied by their beloved dog, Cuddles. Dan is known for his gentle demeanor, and both he and Stephanie are beloved members of their community.
A police investigation is currently underway, and the family is appealing to the public for any information that could help locate them. “Their sudden disappearance is completely out of character; we are deeply concerned and praying for their safe return,” said a family spokesperson.
