A Deal with the Devil

We're being told there's no option but to use drugs like Ozempic to control our weight One in eight American adults have now used weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, I reported on Saturday. That’s no surprise, because 40% of American adults are now obese. There’s something of a Klondike feeling in the air when it comes to obesity these days, at least if you’re a company like Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly that has a GLP-1-receptor-agonist product to sell. That’s the technical name for the class of drugs to which Ozempic and Mounjaro and most of the other new “miracle” weight-loss drugs belong. They signal satiety and alter the transit of food through the digestive system by activating GLP-1 receptors in the body. These companies are already making enormous bank from their new products, but they know the money they’re making now is only a fraction of the money they could be making from America—and the world’s—ever-expanding waistlines. This is especially true, since these companies know—even if users don’t—that their products will have to be used long term, maybe for years or even decades if users want to keep the weight off. Maybe a lifetime. An executive from Eli Lilly said as much in a conference call last year.Save 10% on ALL storable food and Alexapure Pro Water Filtration Systems! Secure your independence with our delicious kits TODAY to beat the coming demand! “Unfortunately, tirzepatide is probably like every other drug we have which requires you to take it to continue to get the benefits.” Unfortunately. Hardly. I’m all for a slimmer world. Being overweight or, even worse, obese is a disaster, individually and, at the levels we’re currently experiencing, collectively too. Obesity is a drain on the public finances of the US to the tune of nearly $200 billion a year, and that’s definitely a conservative estimate. Think how many border walls that could build and how many deportation flights $200 billion could pay for. You could have a dozen walls separating the US from Mexico and relocate every member of MS-13 in the US to Antarctica or, better yet, to some location directly above a patch of shark-infested sea, in the dead of night. Happy trails, Alejandro! We absolutely need to do something about obesity. Not only is it draining the public finances: it’s making us weaker, more docile, easier to control. Cast your mind back to the pandemic. Remember: One demographic that consistently defied the lockdowns, social restrictions and vaxx mandates was gymbros. Think of our Canadian friend Chris Sky, and the extent to which he was persecuted, but bravely persisted to call “bullsh*t” on the whole thing. And that wasn’t a coincidence, that gymbros were such visible opponents of medical tyranny. If we weren’t so sick as a society, if we weren’t so inured to dependency on the government and Big Pharma, I don’t think we’d have ever put up with all that nonsense. Forty years ago, thirty years ago, probably even twenty years ago, we just wouldn’t have had it. Today, though, the gymbros are a last bastion of independent physical existence, of the virtues of self-reliance and courage. The history of testosterone and politics remains to be written—and maybe I’ll be the one to write it. But the question I ask, again and again, is: Are these drugs the answer? No, I don’t think so. Let’s put aside, for now, the issue of side effects. I’ve written elsewhere, at length, about how unfortunate users of Ozempic are inhaling the contents of their own stomachs on operating tables, being left facing diarrhea “forever” and even dying from chronic bowel obstructions because the transit of food through their guts completely shuts down. There are fertility concerns too. We’ve heard about the phenomenon of “Ozempic babies,” where overweight women who lose weight with Ozempic or a similar drug suddenly find themselves pregnant because their reproductive apparatus has been shunted back into life, but we hear less about the fact that Ozempic use during pregnancy has been shown to inhibit fetal growth significantly in mice. That’s not good. Let’s put to one side, too, the fact that the only long-term studies we have of GLP-1 receptor agonist use, from rodents, suggest the drugs reliably cause thyroid tumours. Again, not good. Like I said, let’s just think about the primary issue, which is the use of these new drugs to combat obesity. The gravamen, as far as I’m concerned, is this: that by relying on these drugs to reduce obesity on a society-wide scale, we are simply ceding control of yet another aspect of our lives to Big Pharma. Once upon a time, people managed their own weight. But now, we need an outside agency to do so for us. This obviously makes us less free. Big Pharma’s power increases as our diminishes. And of course Big Pharma, as well as Big Food, is encouraging this, because by making us believe that there’s nothing we can do to control our own weight, short of some miraculous pharmaceutical discovery, they make more money. It’s a simple proposition. If you ran a company like Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly, chances are you’d do the same. This is a clear example of a process dubbed “iatrogenesis” by the philosopher Ivan Illich. “Iatrogenesis” means “medical harm,” and Illich extended the traditional application of this term from things like botched surgeries and misprescribed drugs to the process by which people have their agency stripped from them by the growing medicalisation of society. If you pay attention to one recommendation I make, read Illich’s 1974 book Medical Nemesis, also known as The Limits of Medicine. Iatrogenesis happened to mothers with the replacement of breastmilk with formula, for example, and it’s definitely happening now with these new obesity drugs. What iatrogenesis does, in the case of obesity, is prevent us from addressing the root causes of obesity. Complicated though these may be, they boil down to the fact that we are no longer living in a manner that is compatible with our evolved nature as human beings. We eat food—processed food—that barely qualifies as nutrition. We don’t move. We park ourselves and our children in front of bright screens from morning till night, disrupting the light-based circadian rhythms that govern our body’s metabolic and hormonal processes. We are chronically stressed. We’re exposed, everywhere we go, to a witch’s brew of toxic chemicals that interfere with our bodies in ways we’re still desperately trying to understand. None of this, not one bit of it, will be addressed if we try to solve obesity with drugs. Obesity drugs will just sustain the whole inhuman system. At the same time, though, I can’t say I’m not torn. I’m a realist. I think it’s unlikely in the extreme that we’re going to see a broad health-based movement emerge any time soon to challenge the real causes of our sickness. There are faint murmurs of such a thing in the presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., but he’s a crypto-libtard and he won’t get elected. And so instead, we’re left with these drugs and their makers. But it’s a deal with devil. And the devil has been having his way a lot around these parts lately. Saturday Emergency Broadcast! Mass Starvation: Here’s Why Most Of America Is Completely Unprepared

Unfortunately, there are some people out there who think they don’t need to store supplies because they plan to take from other people. Firstly, anyone who makes this their Plan A is probably a psychopath and I have zero empathy for them. Secondly, such people won’t stay alive very long. With every violent encounter the risk of injury or death increases; looters and raiders will be whittled down rather quickly as they get picked off by people defending their resources. The concept of mass starvation has not been in the forefront of American society for a very long time. Even during the Great Depression the US was majority agrarian and most people knew how to live off the land. In fact, the US has never suffered a true national famine. There have been smaller regional instances of famine (such as during the Dust Bowl in the 1930s), but nothing coming remotely close to the kinds of famines we have seen in Asia, the Eastern Bloc, Africa or the Middle East in the past 100 years. Even Western Europeans dealt with major famines during the World Wars (like the Dutch Famine) and that experience has left an imprint on their collective consciousness. Most Americans, on the other hand, don’t get it. Because we have lived in relative security and economic affluence for so long the idea of ever having to go without food seems “laughable” to many people. When the notion of economic collapse is brought up they jeer and call it “conspiracy theory.” Compared to the Great Depression, the US population today is completely removed from agriculture and has no idea what living off the land means. These are not things that can be learned in a few months from books and YouTube videos; they require years of experience to master. I will say that things have changed dramatically in the past two decades I have been writing for the liberty media. When I started back in 2006 the preparedness movement was incredibly small and often people were afraid to broach such topics in public forums. In the past several years preparedness culture has EXPLODED in popularity. Millions of Americans are now dedicated survival experts with extensive preps and firearms training. Prepping and shooting is no longer the realm of tinfoil hat “crazies”, now it’s considered cool.Save 40% on Ultimate Fish Oil today and improve your supplement routine & experience the world-renowned powerhouse formula! The credit crash of 2008-2009 certainly helped wake people up to the reality of economic instability in the US. Then the covid pandemic, the lockdowns and the attempts at medical tyranny really shocked Americans out of their stupor. Everything we “conspiracy theorists” have been warning about was suddenly confirmed in the span of a couple of years. Every time globalists and governments create a crisis they only inspire more preppers. The greater problem in terms of famine is not that individual Americans are not aware of the threat; many of them are. The problem is that our infrastructure and logistical systems are designed to fail and there’s not much the average citizen can do about it. The just-in-time freight system is perhaps one of the worst ever devised in terms of community redundancy. Any disruption no matter how minor could cut off supplies to a town or city for days or weeks. Then there’s the interdependency that comes with food being produced outside most states. If your state does not have a solid agricultural base then it will be reliant on outside food sources during a crisis. What guarantees are there that your region will be able to secure food from elsewhere? Furthermore, most of the populace, even those that are preparing, have never experienced large scale starvation events before. It’s difficult to adapt mentally to a threat that one has never seen. I suggest people who want to know what starvation feels like practice it from time to time. Try fasting for 24 hours, then try fasting for 48 hours. See how many days you can go without eating (just be sure to drink plenty of water). My maximum was seven days (after months of practice), and what I found was that after day three the hunger pangs actually stop altogether. You don’t go crazy, you don’t get violent; at most you might get tired, but you will also be surprised at how heightened your thinking becomes and how much energy you still have. The human body can survive for three weeks or more without a single bite of food. My suspicion is that initial panic over potential hunger is the thing that causes the most violence during famines. People encounter starvation and lose their minds within the first three days. First-stage stomach pains and fogginess causes them to react without thinking and this leads to the widespread riots and other crisis events we are used to seeing in history during food shortages. Fasting is a way to educate yourself on what it means to starve; it’s not as bad as it seems as long as you have some fat stores in your body. When you hit the point of muscle loss and organ deprivation, that’s when things change and the possibility of death arises. Having some familiarity with the feeling of true hunger will help you to avoid panic should the real thing ever occur in the future. The greater problem is not what you can endure, though. Watching people you care about starve is much more difficult. This is not something you can practice for and it could be a far more powerful motivator when it comes to looting and crime during a crash. The goal of course is to avoid famine altogether. Food storage is the foundation of any survival plan. Anyone who claims that jumping right into agriculture and hunting and wild edibles is the solution has never actually had to survive off the land in their lives. The reality is, finding enough food and growing enough food to live on is difficult for most people even in normal times. During collapse crops are often difficult to plant safely. They can be stolen or destroyed easily and require large communities of people to maintain and protect. Even smaller gardens can draw attention from undesirables and are hard to hide. Hunting might be useful initially if you live in a rural area, but you won’t be the only person with the same idea and animals will move out of a region quickly if they are being hunted on a daily basis. You’ll have to go further and further out to find them and that’s risky during a crisis. Wild edibles are nice in spring and summer when they are plentiful, but then again, if you’re hiking around expending more calories that you can get from these plants then the entire exercise is pointless. I tend to find that wild edibles proponents are the most delusional when it comes to the logistics of survival. Survivalists who think they’re going to run to the woods and live off of the random plants they find will probably die. Growing food, hunting food and foraging food are all supplemental measures, especially in the first years of any crisis event. Without a primary emergency supply most people will not make it. Food storage has been a mainstay of civilization for thousands of years for a reason – It works. When larger secure communities are established then agriculture can return and self sustaining production makes food storage less important. Until then, what you have in your basement or your garage is the only thing that’s going to keep you alive. It’s not like the movies, folks; marauders will disappear swiftly during a crash. After the first year I would be surprised if any of these individuals or groups still exist. In the meantime, the initial stages of collapse are going to be a shock for many Americans. It could be a grid down event, an economic collapse, a supply chain collapse, etc., but the panic associated with hunger will be ever present. People who understand the nature of famine can avoid panic and organize for safety. They will survive and thrive. People who don’t understand famine will freak out in the first week without food and make detrimental mistakes. Mental preparedness is just as important as physical preparedness. Keep that in mind as we move forward into uncertain times. EMERGENCY FINANCIAL NEWS: Economist Warns The Collapse Has Already Begun – Will Be Worse Than The Great Depression

‘An Absolute Disaster’: CNN Panel Loses It Over Poll Showing Trump Trouncing Biden in Swing States

Trump leads Biden by a whopping 13 points in Arizona, 9 points in Georgia and 6 points in Arizona, New York Times poll shows. A CNN panel had a difficult time Monday coping with the latest numbers showing former President Donald Trump leading Joe Biden by a wide margin in battleground states. CNN’s senior data reporter Harry Enten broke down a recent New York Times poll showing Trump leading Biden in 5 battleground states: Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada and Georgia. “Frankly, for the Joe Biden campaign, these numbers are an absolute disaster,” Enten said. "AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER": President Trump post MASSIVE leads in battleground states over Crooked Joe Biden in New York Times poll.NEVADA: Trump +13GEORGIA: Trump +9ARIZONA: Trump +6PENNSYLVANIA: Trump +3WISCONSIN: Trump +1 pic.twitter.com/f92WSa7i4l— Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) May 13, 2024 The poll shows Trump leading Biden by a whopping 13 points in Arizona and 9 points in Georgia.Save 10% on ALL storable food and Alexapure Pro Water Filtration Systems! Secure your independence with our delicious kits TODAY to beat the coming demand! “Look at this — 9 in Georgia, 13 in Nevada? My goodness gracious. My God. That is a huge lead. No Democrat has lost that state since John Kerry lost it back in 2004,” Enten said. Trump also leads by 6 points in Arizona, 3 points in Pennsylvania, and 1 point in Wisconsin. Biden is only ahead by 1 point in Michigan. Enten explained that some of the reasons for the widening margins in the Sun Belt states versus the Great Lakes states are due to a shift in support to Trump by Hispanics and blacks. “The Trump coalition is changing. That’s basically what’s cooking here,” Enten said. “The Trump coalition is becoming more diverse, and of course, those Sun Belt battleground states are more diverse than the Great Lake battleground states.” This is just the latest bad news for Biden coming from CNN. On Sunday, anchor Fareed Zakaria warned that the trials against Trump are backfiring politically on Biden. “Trump is now leading in almost all the swing states, but behind those numbers lie even more troubling details. As someone worried about the prospects of a second Trump term, I think it is best to be honest about reality,” Zakaria said. “I understand that polls are not always accurate, but in general, they have tended to underestimate Donald Trump’s support, not overestimate it. I doubt that there are many shy Biden voters in the country.”
